I have to say that Verizon is the best customer service experience that I have witnessed in quite a while. I came home from vacation and noticed my phone was not working properly. I could not send text messages or make phone calls. It told me that I had no SIM card, when I actually did have a card, so I tried to reset the phone and re-insert the SIM card, but that did not work. I went to the Verizon store and told them my dilemma. Joey, the store manager, looked at my phone, and tried to insert a new SIM card in the phone, but that did not work. The store was busy with other customers, but Joey actually took the time to help me with my issue. We went back and forth trying to figure out what the problem could be, but nothing worked. Joey presented me with a couple options: add another line to my account or get an Internet router which would help package the deal with a new phone. Both options would raise my bill. I inquired into an upgrade for my phone, and Joey said that would work if I wanted to go with the same brand of phone. I decided to pay for the upgrade and get a new phone. Joey stood by me and walked me through getting the upgrade and the new phone installed. It did not end up costing me too much, and my bill was not raised, so it all worked out well for me. Joey was very professional and demonstrated excellent customer service. He actually took the time to work with me on my issue despite how busy the store was with other customers. He helped me through the entire situation up until the store closing. This is why I have stuck with Verizon for over 10 years. The customer service is wonderful and I always get the best product. Predatory Sales Tactics: a representative was fabricating an Apple software issue in the attempt to get me to buy a new phone. I currently own a iPhone 13 mini and have been having issues with my SIM card not being readable resulting in a loss of cell service. When I went to this Verizon store, the representative said it was an issue with Apple's software and older phones and that I'd need to purchase a new iPhone. I had previously looked online and no one else is having this issue with the software update or iPhone 13. I told him based on my research if I got a new SIM card that should help. He responded that that wouldn't do anything and that I just needed to buy a new iPhone. I wanted to confirm elsewhere before spending $400 on a new phone. I then went to the Apple Store to confirm if this was at all the case, they said no, they ran their usual diagnostics everything with my phone and software checked out fine and then said that the best solution is replacing my SIM card. Absolutely unacceptable to be fabricating information in an attempt to make a phone sale. read more

Trey is the reason for 5 stars. I needed to migrate 6 phones from Tmobile. Five of us travel a lot so he had to equip me with the process and assign dummy numbers to sim cards so we could do some of the porting later on our own. Then the bill that came was way out of whack; 437$ where I was expecting 230. Trey gave his time to hang in there with me through some very tough calls with 'corporate' and its unbelievably rude people. One hung up on us and the next got angry and condescending. I was really unhappy with my experience at the Verizon store at 8760 Michigan road when we switched our business account over from Sprint it took me several trips to get things together, my accessories never were paired with my second phone. I drove by the store at 1111 E 86th and decided to give them a try, Oh Happy Day, Miquel waited on me my service was exceptional, this young man takes pride in his work and it shows. His overall demeanor is so warm and welcoming his patient and kind and never mad me feel incompetent. It was a pleasure buying my new Apple Watch from him after my old one quit working. It was such a pleasure I upgraded my phone with Miquel on a scale of one to ten he's 100 all the way. From the moment he greeted me til the moment I left on both visits, it was nothing but pleasant and informative. Changing over from Virgin Moble to Verizon gave me a headache on line. I had to call and verify things and still didn't get a phone. It was like in was after a car loan. I decide to cancel everything on line. I went to a brick and mortar store, something I don't do much. After awhile Henry was able to find the same phone I wanted and got it set up. Everything from my previous phone was transferred over to my new phone. After literally hours on line and on the phone it took around 30min to get the phone in the store. I'm hoping Verizon will have better coverage then Virgin. I lose total signal at my aunt's house 1.5 hours North of Indy. When we went thru South Dakota last summer we had zero signal with Virgin but my husband's work phone is on Verizon and it had signal. read more

Yesterday, I needed a new SIM card and usb cable and I decided to purchase them at this location. When I walked through the door, a sales associate stared at me intently, even as he continued to talk to the customer that was already seated in front of him. It was to the point that even that customer was looking away to see what he was looking at. I stopped and stared right back at him until he stopped staring me down and turned his full attention back to his customer. With that, I then approached a female sales associate (who according to my receipt is named Dallas Reum). She asked me what I needed and I proceeded to purchase the previously listed items. I thanked her and left the store. I called the 611 number to activate my SIM but due to having to go through countless automated messages and the rep on the phone not being all that helpful, he told me that the store could activate it for me. So when I returned and told Dallas what had happened, she said that it would take a while for her to activate as well. I told her that I had faith in her expertise and that I could wait. She asked me for my SIM pin and when I told her I wasn't comfortable giving it to her, she told me that that was suspicious. I then told her that if I had a problem and took my iPhone to Apple, they wouldn't ask me for my account password. She countered this with saying that that was personal information and my Verizon pin wasn't. Also all the times I've been to various Verizon stores, not once did they ask for my pin. And when I call 611, the system verifies it's me, without asking for my pin either. So the fact that she was asking for it left me somewhat confused. After a brief back and forth where she was highly disrespectful and unprofessional, she said,"I'm not helping you". She then accused me of the behavior that SHE was exhibiting and when I asked for the managers/owners info, she refused. She then told me to go to the Verizon at 86th and Ditch, saying that they could help me. I walked out the store. Then returned and asked her to explain her what was it that I actually said or did. She refused and said, "This is the third time that I have told you to leave". When she said that, I felt that she was weaponizing her gender and her race and that she had no problem calling the police with a falsified story. I considered letting her do this knowing that I could just take them thorough litigation but I knew that there was a better way: I asked for the manager/owner information so I could file a complaint, she refused and told me once again to go to the store at 86th and Ditch, telling me it was a corporate location. When I arrived at this location and told the two gentlemen about my experience, they let me know that I wasn't the first person to come from that location complaining, and they would be happy to assist me. Cameron after seeing me unlock my cell phone and asking for my Id, installed and activated my new SIM. It took him around five minutes and he did not require my pin. So I decided to return the usb to the 1111 location. But I expressed to the gentlemen that I had a strong reason to believe that she would be disrespectful to me, lie to me/on me again and possibly call law enforcement. One of them told me to call Verizon, tell them exactly what I had told them, and to have a rep on the phone when I entered the store. This is exactly what I did and when I returned, Dallas definitely knew that I had someone on the phone with me. When I asked her why she treated me me in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner, she said, "We've already discussed this". No, we didn't. I asked her for the owners information for the fourth time, and she finally gave it to me (wether it's legit, I couldn't tell you.) Then after that, she refused to answer any of my questions. Once I left the store, the Verizon rep apologized because she could hear her tone of voice and how she was addressing me. I will never shop at this location again. First, shout out to the manager, ADAM (I believe that's his name) who was FANTASTIC (as were all of the employees who helped us). We came here on Black Friday (2018) and received remarkably quick and courteous service.  We needed to buy a new smartphone for my mom (the screen on her current phone was shattered). We were checked in and were assisted very shortly thereafter. Again, this was amazingly quick considering it was Black Friday.  After we selected the phone, we had hoped they would transfer the data from her existing phone to her new phone. They said since it was Black Friday this may not be possible - they were already overloaded with additional tasks that day and could not accommodate these individual requests. Since my mom couldn't come back another time (she has trouble waking and I was heading back to Illinois that day) they made an exception and did so. There was no way I would've figured out how to transfer the data (some app has to be downloaded to each phone). It took about 45 minutes and I could see Adam worked tirelessly to get it done. There is no way I would've had the patience or tech know-how to do this - and I am no stranger to smartphones.  So thankful for you guys! Wish you were closer to me! read more

I had the opportunity to work with Dre D. on my most recent device upgrades--he usually works at the Binford store but was here at the 86th street store yesterday (10/7). I was greeted immediately upon entering the store with an upbeat, pleasant greeting, the store was busy and they were down a couple of employees (as are quite a few businesses these days) but the atmosphere was very positive. Dre was very patient and did a great job explaining my options and once I had made my decisions he worked with me in setting up the new devices and told me if I got home and had questions to just call the store and he would be happy to help. Well, I got home, had an issue or two--knowing how busy the store was when I left I just got back in the car and drove back to the store (a short 6 miles)--it was worth the drive--Dre was still there and as luck would have it, he did not have a customer he was working with so I once again got to work with him on finishing the process of setting up a device. EXCELLENT service at this store--this is my second visit to this store to upgrade a device and both times everyone has been very helpful, pleasant and actually fun to work with on the purchase. They like to push their specials on you even if you're not interested. The new location looks really good inside and inviting, but don't think the costumer service follows suit! I walked in and was surprised that it wasn't busy at all. Had I finally found a store that didn't make me wait 20 min?! I was pleasantly surprised. But then once I was connected with the lady that helped me throughout the transaction, I understood why it was empty. She was R U D E. I have had some great customer service experienced with Verizon in the past, but this is not one of those places. It was a convenient stop to upgrade my phone while some deals were going on, but I will never be back solely because of the lady that helped me. Who knew that a 9:00am visit to this Verizon store would get me so angry??? I went in this morning to hopefully fix my Droid - since the last software update it has had a 10 hr battery life and is really slow. I walked in the store and there were already a couple customers being helped, so I started checking in on the screen. I was halfway through when an employee came up to me to help, and I asked "Should I finish checking in?" And he said sure, and then proceeded to help the woman who had walked in 15 second after me!!! Seriously? I tried to protest, but the employee slunk away. After a few minutes, he had directed her to the front counter, where it looked like she was going to buy something, and came to help me. I explained the problem with my Droid. He replied, "You'll have to talk to the other Chris about that. I'm not as technical as he is." Well, Chris #1, what DO you do? He proceeded to stand sheepishly behind the counter while the other two, more competent employees, continued to help the other customers. Meanwhile, the woman who was waiting to check out (why didn't Chris #1 help her?) set her item on the counter and left after a few minutes. I waited around a full 20 minutes before storming out the door myself, wishing curses upon Verizon, my Droid, and Chris #1. So way to go Verizon. Thanks to this experience, I am a LOT more likely to switch to AT&T and get an iPhone! read more

This is the location that I used to upgrade to my DROID 2 last August. At that time the Manager was the person that helped me and he was wonderful. My phone has worked fine with no problems until this weekend when the WiFi started giving me an error when I tried to connect. So off I went to the same location this morning (a Sunday) and the very same Manager was there. He helped me right away and I was out the door in less than 5 minutes. My replacement will be at my door by Wednesday. This location is an excellent example of how to do Customer Service the right way!! read more

First off, Google maps will direct you to the wrong location. This store is in the strip mall where Huddles and Whole Foods are. I can definitely tell they're supposed to get you to spend as much as possible. We already had a phone and knew how much we wanted to spend and that there would be a discount (due to employer). However, the salesperson still tried to get us to do the Edge thing to get a new phone, which is like rent-a-phone without a contract. He tried so hard to convince us that it was the "best value" and we'd be "saving so much money in the long run". Wrong. I think a lot of people would've fallen for his convoluted explanations but being that we can both DO MATH we were not fooled. STAY IN SCHOOL, KIDS!!! Or you'll get swindled by a phone salesman. It took him 20+ minutes to get the "approval" for the employer discount and for the waiver of the activation fee. This despite the fact that all that info was pulled up on our phone already. No...he couldn't use our phone, couldn't use his tablet, had to go use a certain special computer in the back. The icing on the cake is that when the bill arrived, the discount hasn't been applied! We walked out with a temporary number because we weren't able to "port" (huh? I think it should be "import" or "transfer") my phone number over from AT&T to Verizon without more information. Such an inconvenient process and I ended up without any cell at all for about 7 hours because the porting process has many flaws. Seriously...why would the "do this next to start your service" information be sent via text to a phone that may or not be activated? Send it via email. Duh. I do not recommend sending anyone who isn't experienced with phones and service plans to this (or any other) store alone. They'll end up spending more money than they need to. I feel very fortunate to have had an iPhone for the past 3+ years because it means I've never had to set foot in a cell phone store during that entire time. If something happened to my phone, I went to the Apple store (which is its own hell, but in a different way). read more

Went in right before Christmas to upgrade my phone, so of course they were super busy. I waited around for almost an hour to meet with someone. The sales person was fairly friendly, but once I said what I needed, it took another 15-20 minutes for them to get the phone from the back. Our interaction felt really rushed, but it also seemed like they were trying to sell me on products/services I did not need. THEN, after 12 hours the phone stopped working. The SIM card was invalid, and when I tried to take it to another Verizon store, they informed me that this location is NOT a Verizon Corporate location, but a franchise instead. Because I don't live in Indy, I now have to go to the Apple store to get everything fixed. UPDATE: 12/30/15 the SIM card is still invalid, and no Verizon stores here will take it because this place ISN'T a real Verizon store... they're a 3rd party seller. Apple has tried to help but I have to get a new SIM card before they can tell if it's the SIM or the device that's malfunctioning. read more

A Nice Experience. I have been to this location 3 times now and have actually had outstanding customer service. Today was no exception. I was greeted immediately at the door by Shane who took my information and got me into the cue for repair. He even told me how many people were before me and the estimated wait time. Within 10 minutes I was greeted by Chris who promptly assessed and fixed my issue. Both Chris and Shane were both kind and courteous. I did not feel rushed or pressured in any way. I'm not sure if staff has changed since previous reviews, but I seem to have had really good luck with new purchase and follow-up issues at this location. read more

I have three instances where I have been to this branch and been lied to. First, that they no longer sold the phone (Iphone 4) my wife wanted. Only until she told the sales girl that she would go buy it online, they suddenly found one. They wanted to sell her the 4s - I am assuming more profit. Second time, they lied to me about being able to renew one week before my renewal date (which you can do) and the cost of an Iphone 5. They said $250.00 for an Iphone 5, Cellular Connection renewed me one week earlier and for $199.00 for the same phone. Then finally today they tell my wife that they could not remove a scam $9.99 text charge from a source Verizon is currently suing for fraudulant charges. My wife had to call corporate to get it removed. This retail location is a joke. They are not about customer service, just money. Go to Cellular Connections for your Verizon needs. read more

What a joke this store is. 14 day return policy. I purchased 2 cases for my new iPhone 6 and didn't open one of them, so that was reason for my return. A "manager" spoke with me and said I could only exchange for something in the store. I don't need anything so I said could you do a gift card. She said no. I then said what the heck I will go ahead and look around..... She then said let me get you "checked in". I said it's ok as I don't have time to be put on a waiting list. So I left as it's easier to eat the $40 vs wait for someone to "maybe" help me. What happened to having people behind a counter checking people out and also people on the floor. It cost me over $1300 in overages I wouldn't have had. Very shady. When I called in to get it changed back like they said I could they wouldn't honor their policy. Don't trust them they suck. Scott did a great job selling me the iPhone 10. Great customer service. I had an issue where a few sentimental voicemails did not transfer over. I drove back to the store a few hours later once I noticed. I was frustrated and emotional. Sara Perkins came to the rescue. Even after dealing with my frustration Sara took the time to retrieve my old phone, load all my data from i Cloud and helped retrieve my voicemails. Her patience and determination to figure out a solution spoke volumes to me in terms of customer service. I would recommend this retailers and specifically Scott and Sara. read more

This Verizon is the worst experience I've ever had and have been an on/off Verizon customer for years. I recently signed up with them again and it has been non-stop headache since the beginning. They didn't explain their buy back of phones properly. The man said everything would be covered don't worry about your previous bill or phone payments. Come to find out that's not true at all! You have to fill out a form that the company processes if your even eligible for the refund. Come to find out we almost got sent to collections because we didn't know of this and when we did fill out the form we weren't eligible and had to fit buying back the phone and the bill, not to mention all the new charges with Verizon. They forgot to add our international call, and they put us on the wrong plan. Finally got international calling but I'm now still trying to get us back on the correct plan and come to find out the promotion expired so they contacted customer service chit chatting with someone said it was covered. Now we are still on an incorrect plan and I contacted customer service and there is no option for this promotion any longer and I'm having to wait to deal with a supervisor. This place is complete garbage. It's like a fraternity of bros trying to run a store! Btw it is almost May all this has occurred since mid February! Months later none of this should be a problem. I wish I could give them no stars but that's not an option. read more
