So I went in on June 5, 2021 to get a new number on my sisters family plan, I got charged $75 for activation fee and all that. I also got a ' gift card ' so I didn't mind paying the $75. A week passes by and my sister calls me to ask if I paid the activation fee because Verizon was charging her like $60 for activation and other fees that I wasn't informed about. She called them and let them know that I did pay since this store was trying to scam me lying about why they put all those hidden fees. I also tried redeeming the gift card and didn't work. My family and I have been customers with Verizon for over 15 years, and have rarely had issues. I've gotten a few new phones, and never had a problem getting the content from my old phone switched to my new phone. I went in today to do just that, and was shocked that they wanted to charge $35 just to transfer all my content from my old phone to my new one. That's news to me, and complete bullshit if you ask me. I'm already paying a lot for my plan and phone as is, I'm not paying an extra $35 fee for something that's always been free in the past. Something isn't right about this store and I'm already investigating. My son went in to take advantage of the BOGO they were offering, but the rep that helped him out lead him to believe that he would be getting that offer, but we later found out from Verizon that it wasn't available to our plan. Second issue is that we were charged a deposit for the phones which is beyond me. We have exceptional payment and credit history with Verizon and are puzzled at why we were asked to pay a deposit. Verizon was not able to see a deposit on "their end". Verizon told us they didn't even know what the rep in the store did. I'm not going to drop names, but this rep was not honest and has ruined the reputation of the store for me. We will never use this authorized retailer again. If I could give 5 stars for Daylan I would because he deserves them. Unfortunately when I went back to pick up a watch Daylan ordered for me he was off & Joseph got the watched for me, I would say helped me but he didn't do that he just did the transaction & the only reason I know his name is because I went back to the store because I wasn't happy with his service & that's when I found out his name. For 1 not only did he not tell me his name but couldn't get my name right. Anyways I asked if he would be setting up the watch for me to which he said yes(nothing else) after I paid the taxes I seen he charged me a $35 service fee for downloading an app on my phone to pair with the watch, if he would've told me that he was charging $35 for that I would've done it myself! When I went back to complain I was told verizon charges those $35 anytime you get a phone or watch which is not true because I got 3 phones before & I wasn't charged that. He also added insurance to my watch without asking if I wanted it( I was planning on getting it) he should've asked me if I wanted the insurance instead of just deciding himself! & Last I had an offer for $150 off a watch I asked if he could check if I was getting that money off he said "you should be if it was an offer but you have to wait a while before you can see it". Well I called customer service and there was no discount on the watch! I was on the phone for about an hour while the customer service rep tried to find me a $150 discount for my watch! DONT GO HERE. I would rather drive across the country to another Verizon than to have to go to this one. First of all, it isn't a Verizon Verizon store. It is a store called cellular sales and they sell Verizon or whatever. So if you encounter a problem, you cannot go to actual Verizon and have them fix it. So let's start off with the first thing. They charge a $45 DEVICE SET UP FEE. Whether they set up your phones or not, they charge it either way. To make it worse, they don't tell you they're charging you this. I didn't get my phones set up and they charged me for that. IT IS NOT AN ACTIVATION FEE!!! It is a whole different fee that is unnecessary. Then they charge an ACTIVATION FEE which is for Verizon itself. I already know they have an activation fee but they literally charge for something you don't need! Anthony Ortiz was the one that helped me and DID NOT DISCLOSE THIS FEE. They charged me $200 and I thought it was just the taxes altogether since I got two phones. But NOPE. I paid $45/phone for a device set up fee when they didn't set them up. THEN I call the store and he gives me the run around then call they're manager and then they told me to call customer service. I STILL HAVE NO RECEIVED MY REFUND. I ALREADY CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE. This place has been a HEADACHE since I've come here. To make it worse, THEY NEVER APPLIED THE PROMO FOR THE FREE IPHONES AND I HAD TO CALL VERIZON TO HAVE THEM FIX IT. The worst Verizon experiences ever. They marked an online order as picked up when it wasn't please be careful. When on the phone with a customer service representative and the store employee they said they didn't have the order or the phone and that the order was picked up when it never was. When escalated to the store manager he was not qualified to take care of the situation and the Version customer service on the phone was embarrassed of how the store employee and manager handled the situation. The manager needs to know how to train his new employees. The curb side they offered is more like they expect you you to come in. read more
