I always feel welcome when I visit the store. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Always helpful without any pressure.

I brought a friend by the store to have some assistance with a Verizon product. The person that waited on him could not have been more rude, or more condescending. I was just stunned by how this young man treated another person. Feom now on, I will drive the extra 30 minutes, in either direction, to avoid this store. read more

I've been an ongoing customer at Colchester Verizon Wireless for over ten years now and the customer service has always been great... that is until two weeks ago. I was having issues with my iPhone and assumed that I would get the same professional customer service as before. Instead, the sales rep was short, rude and condescending as well as unprofessional. And she added more anxiety to my problem. Point blank, it seemed that I was bothering her. Also, she accused me of giving her the wrong Apple ID, when in fact, I issued her the correct one and she was the one who typed it in wrong. She went on to tell me that my phone was worthless and she could not help me. After five minutes of enduring her condescending attitude, I politely called her on it. In a lame attempt to deflect her deplorable behavior, she pitched a fit like a pubescent in the store... in front of other customers! If she didn't have another solution then she could have steered me to Apple customer service instead of behaving in such an unprofessional manner. I think the owner should be made aware of this employee's sour attitude before he loses more customers. Someone with her lack of professionalism and empathy would be better suited as an inventory clerk, as obviously, she does not have what it takes to migrate through customer service. As to avoid such an unpleasant scenario next time, I will drive to Windham for all my Verizon needs. read more

One of the best customer service experiences I've had in a while. I was dreading having to upgrade my phone and tablet as we all know it can be a cumbersome experience. I took a deep breath and walked into the store expecting the worst. I was surprised to meet a handsome young guy who I immediately took a liking to and we started the upgrade process. Not only did I get a new phone and a great deal on my tablet (FREE WITH A TWO YEAR CONTRACT) but I also was not expecting such a genuine and relaxing customer experience!. The young representative was charismatic and sympathetic towards all of my concerns and did a fantastic job in assisting me so that my upgrade went as smooth as possible. Not to mention how flawlessly he applied my glass screen protector! It's great to be able to go into a store and not feel like you're getting attacked by a salesman. I will be going back to this young man for the rest of my upgrades! I can't tell you how much I enjoy the small town atmosphere in this store and on top of everything else they've got the best deals around. Especially this month! I urge everyone to visit this store if you have had negative experiences with other Verizon stores in the area. 5 STARS! read more

Best Verizon place to shop. I've been to a few Verizon in the area but never receive the spectacular customer service like I get here. Everyone here is very helpful, I've come serveral occasion each greeted by a different person and they've always help me solve my tech issues. read more

This company is a vengeful, greedy, and awful company. I switched to AT&T and lost access to the "VERIZON " cloud. Even though my account with them is still open, and they are still getting my money, they claim I can not access it. My phone is now configured to AT&T. Even though I still have their Sim card, it won't work. I talked to Verizon for three days before I switched, they never mentioned that years of pics and music would be lost. Let that thought sink in for a moment. read more

I've been a Verizon customer for many years, and have used many of their stores all over Connecticut. Nearly every experience leaves me astounded that they can stay in business when they clearly HATE their customers. My experience today was sadly, not the worst Verizon experience, but it was truly terrible. The two reps at the Colchester store were amazingly indifferent to my needs. I went in wanting to split my account from my ex-wife's, putting my son on my account and my daughter and mother-in-law on hers. I understand now that this request has to go through their corporate office, but they could have prepared me better for what the process would entail. With little warning, my mother-in-law and daughter were left in a limbo without service. My ex called me, very upset while I was still in the store. One rep didn't even look up from the Red Sox game, and the other made a crack along the lines of, what do you care, it's your ex-wife. When he gets a divorce, he can treat his ex like garbage, but I don't treat mine (or anyone) that way, and I didn't appreciate his cavalier attitude. My ex is also a Verizon customer, so ideally he would have more concern. I was going to buy a new phone for my son, but I will NEVER give any further business to this particular store. And so, the search goes on for a Verizon store that is not staffed by either incompetent jerks or slime balls trying to upsell you and rob you blind. Be warned about this one. read more

I had such a great experience at this store that had to stop and take a minute to share it. I have our family and business phones with Verizon and as many know it is not always easy. The owner of the store and his manager straightened out all my accounts and they also restructured my accounts to save me quite a bit of money every month. These guys have made a loyal long time customer. Long live the small business owner. read more

This isn't the first time I've had an issue with a Verizon store but it's definitely the worst. I went to this location for the first time yesterday to purchase a new set of ear buds. The sales rep showed me some options. Fyi they didn't have alot to pick from but no big deal. He showed me a set that were wireless. They run off your blue tooth setting on your phone. That's it so I bought them. As I was driving home I told myself he didn't ask me what kind of phone I had so I was wondering if there was going to be a problem. And there was. They have to be paired up the phone. Ok so I call Verizon tech support and they told me that they will not work with my phone so I ordered a set that will work from tech support. I told myself no problem I will just return them. Now here's the issues. I bring them to the rep at the counter and I say I need to return these they don't work with my phone. He says no problem. I assume this guy was a manager who comes out from the back and says they will work. I say tech support said they wouldn't. He's says they need to be paired and I can show you how because alot of people come back because of that issue. I said well if alot of people come back why don't you show them how they work the first time so people don't have to come back. Make sence! I used to work in retail sales and you always assume the customer knows nothing. Your job is to help people and explain to them the products. I told him I already ordered a pair from tech support. He says we'll I don't care if you return them or not. Great additude bud. You should care because I will be purchasing a new phone and tablet soon and it will definitely not be from this location! read more
