I had a wrecked SIM card in my iPhone 11, so an employee at the Apple Store at the Freehold Mall told me to go to this store to get an eSIM or at least a replacement SIM. I didn't know then, as I know now, that this is NOT an official Verizon store. No wonder the "customer service" rep I talked to at this place couldn't help me. Still, he was one of the rudest, most arrogant and least helpful people I've ever encountered in retail. He was totally lost with the tech as he pretended to diagnose my phone, but he blamed everybody else but himself, and ultimately told me that my phone was a lost cause. Of course he then tried to sell me on a new phone, but he didn't seem to care when I turned him down. Something told me this guy wasn't being honest, so I went to an ACTUAL Verizon store in Ocean Township and the friendly, helpful customer service rep there hooked me up with an eSIM with no charge and no problem. read more

Bill Jay and his hustler team made sure we were hidden from all ability to see what was actually going on. When we called corporate to deactivate lines per Jay's instruction they told us our bill was going from $274-300+ per month. If we chose to not trade in. It would be $400+ per month. You will be told they are Verizon and every sign states that, but they are merely passing off Verizon products while they grossly rip you off. They sold us a plan that does not exist. They hide their activation fees in other fees while telling you there are none. They do not give you contracts or papers to look at despite asking for same many times. We were given the NFL package that did not exist. We were given a free watch only to find out it was not free as they simply gave us the wrong model and that we had to pay for. I called Verizon and was told that the store is NOT Verizon. They merely sell Verizon products while ripping you off with smiles on their faces. Do not even think about seeing a manager. James the manager is disgraceful. He never returns calls or emails, is not in the store that much, and when you get him there he will lie and tell you your matter is being escalated. Escalated to who as they are NOT Verizon? Their lies and deceit will cost me thousands of dollars. I just filed a fraud case with the New Jersey State Department of Consumer Affairs as these thieves should NOT be allowed to steal from the public. Thieves. These salesmen have convinced my 83 yr old Aunt that her phone has been hacked every 6 months. Sell her a new $1500 phone that she doesn't need. All she asks for is to buy a phone outright and they tell her it's not possible. So they put her into a $1500 phone with every add on they can possibly find and force her to go into payment plans. They even sold her on an internet hotspot plan for her home even tho she doesn't have a computer or ever get on the internet. They assure her payment will only go up a handful of dollars yet she has to pay hundreds to pay off her current phone which they will not take back or give her credit for. All she wants is a phone that can take pictures and text messages. They also never helped her file a claim under her protection plan and instead just keep forcing her into new plans and ever higher debt. We have taken over her account to help get her sorted. Freaking thieves stealing from the elderly. We are filing a complaint with the BBB and are posting to every elder abuse site we can find. read more

I was very skeptical of going here after the terrible reviews. After having trouble with my phone , I left the store with a new phone. My first bill was extremely high and after being on the phone with Verizon and Apple for over two hours, with no resolution I went to the store again. Thinking I was getting scammed, I brought someone with me. It took James three minutes to explain the bill and what my future bills will be. He was professional and kind. Just cleared up the mess they caused me. Steven Jackson there lied to me. My phone (13S) had a manufacturing defect of a faulty Sim Card reader. It was 4 months old. They said I was eligible for a "free upgrade" and a "free Iwatch or iPad. I got a new 14 and a watch. He took my old phone and went in the back, returning with a UPS envelope he put my old phone in. Got a Iphone 14 in return. I didn't even get the newest phone and have to pay full price for that one too! I got a bill for $888!!!!! (what I owed on the old phone) I called 1800-verizon. "you were not eligible for an upgrade as your old contract was less than 6 months into it" was told by corporate. Wrapped up the iWatch to return it and went back to this place(NJ-you have 30 days to rescind a contract). "Oh no....see i just had to tell someone this earlier-it takes a month to adjust on your account, you will see it next bill" No I Did NOT! Just spent an hour on the phone and Corporate refunded me for my old phone, that was NEVER CREDITED TO MY ACCOUNT! They do lie, and they know they are lying. Also the "manager" took a pull from his vape while I was there in the store, i don't care really but c'mon! Also he just grabbed a case and tried to stick that on my new phone and charge me-without asking! Zero Stars, ZERO. Verizon should refuse to retail through them. read more

ZERO STARS. DO NOT GO HERE. This place is a scam. They are dishonest and have zero customer service. All they care about is taking your money and then lying about their business practices. I recently upgraded my phone at this store. I did an early upgrade so I had to give them my old phone to send back to Verizon. I was told they had to be the ones to return the phone and I could not do it. That was 4 weeks ago. Yesterday I get a bill from Verizon for $566 and a letter informing me they never got my phone back and I have to now pay for it. The store had NO RECORD of my phone being shipped out and couldn't explain what happened. Thankfully after calling Verizon customer service they were able to open an investigation and deemed I was not at fault and in fact the store lied when they said they had to send the phone back. They are suppose to give the customer the phone back with a shipping box for the customer to return. Verizon customer service even said that after speaking with the store "something shady" was definitely going on. After learning this from Verizon customer service I called the store to confront them. They were rude and kept putting me on hold and would not let me speak to a manager. Also I was informed that this is not a Verizon corporate store. This is a private business that is authorized to sell Verizon wireless service. I will never ever be back at this store again and caution anyone who is thinking about going here to think twice. read more

Is there an option for zero stars? Went in there today after buying an iPhone 13 Pro Max at the Apple Store. Why I didn't just get the case there, I have no idea. I could kick myself. I live 30 minutes from Freehold and made a trip specifically to go to that Apple Store because they were the only ones who had the phone I wanted in stock. Saw this place on the way home and went in for a clear case. The Otter cases they had that were clear were all for the iPhone 12 Pro Max and I pointed that out after the employee handed it to me. I told them I had the 13. I was then assured that it was the same exact thing as the 13 Pro Max one and I stupidly fell for it. The case not only did not correctly fit my phone, but I could have broken the phone trying to pry it out if the case once it was on. A little research and talking to a couple of other people would have taught me that a 12 case absolutely will NOT work on the newer 13 phone. It is a completely different fit. Two other Wireless Zone employees at different locations as well as Apple employees told me the phone is shaped differently and the camera comes out farther. Same dimensions, different shape. Also the buttons don't line up and neither do the cut outs at the bottom! Thankfully my phone does not seem damaged and believe me, I feared the worst when I had to remove the too tight 12 case that it had scratched or damaged a brand new phone. Now I have to drive 30 minutes to return this $50 piece of plastic. Employees are either not knowledgeable or lie to you to make a sale. Terrible experience. This is why I only buy phones at Apple. SCAM store. Went in to replace my iphone as the battery was dead. Asked for the new iphone 10, asked about trade in value and was told my bill would go up $10 a month, no problem. Out comes an iphone 8 and says that's the newest model available. I left and called Verizon and they told me that this store isn't a real Verizon store-you have to read the small asterisk next to their logo, that they get calls from customers all the time about getting scammed there. One star rating, unfortunately is the lowest allowed because this place doesn't even live up to that! Second time I have had poor service resulting in a lot of wasted time in this store. Decided this time to voice my disappointment. Went in on a Saturday with my son to get a new phone. Phone needed to be ordered and would arrive Tues or Wed. No problem, my son is in school in Philadelphia but we would take it to him the weekend after. Told the salesman, Sam Alves, my son would activate it in Philly when he got it because he still is using the current phone. Called me Tues to say it was in, told them I would be in Wed. Went Wed around noon and waited over 30 min for them to fool around with the phone. Stated Apple did an update and they always have problems afterwards. No problem but I had a conference call I needed to get to so I asked how much longer. "A few minutes more", finally done but now I needed to wait for them to put it on my phone bill (you are not allowed to outright buy the phone but must do monthly installments on your bill according to them). After an additional 5 minutes told me they can't put it on my bill because I "bundle" my services (internet/phones/cable/etc.) Conversation went somewhat like this: (me)So what do I do now? (them) must unbundle services, lose that discount, in order to get phone. (me) Nope, what is my next option? (them) Buy the phone elsewhere like Best Buy etc. (me) So I wasted 4 days and 45 minutes? (them) Not our fault, Verizon's policy. (me) But you ARE Verizon and you should know their policies! Is this the first time this has come up? (them) No, it comes up once in a while. (me) So your first question should be DO YOU BUNDLE? It IS your fault because you didn't ask me this question. You wasted my time. So now do I just leave? (them) No we need to reactivate his old phone. (me) What? Wait! You DEACTIVATED his old phone!!! We told you NOT to do that, he would do it himself, he is still using his old phone. (them) It will only take a minute, just please wait. About 3 minutes later, I was told old phone was reactivated. Left there, came home and ordered phone from Apple, they express overnighted it for free...now THAT is service. Side note, my son called me later in the day to say his text messaging wasn't working...seriously?!? Had him turn off and turn phone back on, it worked after that. If this is Verizon SOP, then I am switching to AT&T, if it is not, someone needs to get that place in order. They are not what Verizon should want to represent them. read more

I needed a new Cell phone and am a long time Verizon customer (for now). I made the mistake of coming here for a replacement. I bought a phone being told it would be wirelessly charged. I got it home and the wireless charger did not work so I looked up the cell phone model and it was not designed to charge with a wireless charger. I called the store and spoke to the manager who told me I could return the phone but would have to pay 10% stocking fee or buy a more expensive phone with a slight discount. Found a Verizon store by Dusals Pizzeria. It's located on that strip. Thank you Jesus for this place. Stress Free, although Verizon has it locked up on charges. This Wireless zone franchise in Freehold, NJ has thieves. Never in my life have I ever had a store steal a cellphone. According to tracking by Assurion the insurance company, the phone arrived at the store. The manager Kenny lied and told me it was received to another store and his store never received it. Assurion also told me it was signed for and upon speaking to another employee at the actual store(when Kenny wasn't there), she told me it was received and signed by "my last name". I knew then the phone was stolen. First the manager lied (busted), next forged names? Really? Since when does a employee illegally forge the name of a customer on a package to the store that is suppose to give a chain of custody? How is anyone to know who signed for the package if the customer name is forged on it? Old Classic stolen phone move. Kenny was all to quick to say, he would just put in another claim and get me another iPhone. Couldn't have it because now I know he lied, someone there stole my phone, forged my last name on the package and I could'd trust another phone being delivered to the store. I unfortunately had to call the local police and file a report. I still don't have a phone as the "rental" phone broke in 2 pieces and I had to return that. Just Bad Business. Received a phone call promoting a free motorola tablet for being a "loyal customer". Visited the store to pick up my "free" tablet only to be sent home because it wasn't in stock. Then called back into the store 1/2 hour later because the "free" tablet was now in stock. Once I arrived, I was shown the tablet and then, only then, at the time of checkout was told it would cost $10.00 per month for a line which of course nobody needs since you can pick up wireless everywhere in the world. Jessica the sales rep and the Manager (Kenneth) both proceeded to try to sell me hard that it was a good idea to pay 120.00 per year for this "free" tablet for no good reason at all.
