Buyer beware! I needed to change my Verizon plan, so I went into this store thinking they represented Verizon, a company I've been with for over twenty years. I didn't have an unlimited data plan, so I stopped into this store. I was advised by 'Brittany' to upgrade my iphone 13 to an iphone 17pro. Okay. I was told that my additional cost would be the increased data usage and a $3.50 increase per month for three years for the "Pro" model. I agreed and put my signature on the scratch pad. The first clue I had a problem was that my new bill rose from $81 per month to $216 for the next month. I didn't like it, but Brittany told me that my new charges would be prorated for the first month and my future monthly bills would go down to approximately $100 plus the $3 charge for the "Pro" model. "About $103 dollars and change. But I looked more closely at the Verizon bill. There was, among other charges, a $40 "Upgrade fee". AND, the $3 per month for three years of the contract had increased to $7.70 per month. If you do the math, in three years, I'm paying 1/3 of the cost of buying the phone outright. Now, here comes the 'kicker'. I saw my new credit card statement. Instead of my signature AGREEING to the $3 per month charge, without any notification or approval, Brittany tagged on a $99.99 charge. I had to call the store to get a receipt. That nearly one hundred dollar charge covered a "DEVICE INITIATION/SETUP FEE" ($70) and a REDUX Water Protection Membership ($27.99). I didn't approve these charges, but they were on my credit card statement. I got scammed. I don't like getting scammed. Buyer beware of what they tell you in this store, and what you'll end up paying. I'm going back to the store today and I hope I get things straightened out. read more

Second person writing about the scam from David Hodgson. He told us we would receive enough credit to pay off our early termination fees if we switched over to Verizon. He asked for our pin number for our AT&T account to be able to credited our account and terminate our plan with AT&T. When I called David to ask him about this, he claimed that he never said any of this. Which is not true because we wouldn't have even bothered switching plans. Filing a formal complaint with verizon and better business bureau. I remember that this guy from the bank too and he was a scam artist there as well to get people to apply for credit cards. read more

Worst management and customer service. They will do what they can to have negative reviews removed to include mine and my mother's review. Trust me, we visited the OCEAN VIEW store and it was the WORST customer service experience for my family. Click on their 5 star review to see that it's a Verizon employee who has only reviewed Verizon stores except for one restaurant...The others are fake profiles. No pictures and only one review. Still waiting on mysterious Jay to return my call. Left a message. Nothing. Called a few times...Jay is never there...... read more

Our first visit was last month. One person said "be with you" without looking up. After 20 minutes we left. They haven't fixed this, on today's visit while we waited another woman left after not being acknowledged. Today we decided to try them again. Our one phone was not taking a charge, we wanted them to check it out. Instead the girl didn't even try to charge it, left it on the desk and announced we needed a new phone. After agreeing to get a new phone, she tried to upsell us on a "free tablet" that you have to pay $10. a month service charge and buy a case. No thanks. Then a $99.00 liquid glass protection cover for the phone. No thanks. We left almost $800.00 later, to get home and find out our old phone only had a piece of lint in the charge port. Zero to fix. We then noticed she had taken out the Sim Card tray and card leaving the phone unusable. We head back to retrieve our sim card tray and card, return the phone. She and the manager were rude, made it uncomfortable and charged us a restocking fee and additional $50.00 fee. I could go on.... The worst Verizon experience in over 15 years of being a Verizon customer. Avoid this location. We later found a Verizon store only two miles away with qualified professional staff. When we are ready to purchase our new phone we will head to them. AVOID this location. read more

Fraudulent business practices. Do not give these people your business. Their terrible customer service will be the least of your problems. David told me that I would receive, in the mail, two $200 gift cards (total $400) for switching my service from AT&T to Verizon. David also told me that I needed to buy a new iPhone from them; that he could not put their service on my (new) AT&T iPhone. Three weeks later we had no gift cards (which I intended to use to pay off my AT&T iPhone). So, my husband & I went back and spoke to Jay, the manger. He told us that we were supposed to access a link to get the gift cards. (David never told us that.) Jay gave us the link info but it did not work. When we told Jay that the link he gave us did not work, he told us that he could do nothing about it w/out David's credentials. (The manager doesn't have that info??) Jay promised to call us, but he never did. When we called back, Jay told us that the offer had expired and there was nothing he could do about it. Can you say SCAM? read more
