Came to the store to buy the new Iphone 8, aware the glass back is fragile. Guy talked me into one of their screen protectors, he had to install it twice. No case we like, so we place the phone in the box, leave the store. We started to leave the parking lot when my son noticed the back on the phone is all scratched and cracked along the edges. We go back into the store, manager looks at the phone and tells us "this is normal wear and tear" - what? It was in the box. I said ok, I want to return it - she said no, it is damaged goods. I then loudly explained it was damaged by their team putting on the screen protector - TWICE on the hard, coarse countertop. She said there is nothing they can do. We had not left that store but 10-15 minutes and she treated us like we had it home and using it without a case for days. Hands do not scratch glass, but that counter top did. We now have a phone, paid full price for it and the store ruined the back of that phone. They finally offered a free case or liquid glass - I said we will take both. It doesn't fix the phone. This manager is horrible. My 15 year old son worked a lot of hours to help pay for this phone, only to have the store ruin it before he could even get it home. Very sad, still very upset they treat their customers so poorly when there is a problem. Super friendly when selling you something though read more
