I had no plans to argue, but the fact is my computer is under warantee. It's Apple's fault that it's not working, and they train their employees to try to keep them from really being accountable for lost time due to their faulty products. The greeter probably thinks they are making things better by speaking rudely, but they're just pissing people off more.

Sorry you're out $270 and have a nice day. They lied about the verizon requirements, guaranteed a trade in value they wouldn't honor and now I'm stuck with a phone they won't fix because it's cheaper to buy a new phone and $0 in trade in credit. After a long conversation with verizon they're helping to offset the costs and I would NEVER go back here again. Trust your carrier, not Apple!

James who also was there when we bought the phone did quite a bit of troubleshooting but was unable to get it working. He could have easily given up but instead he called AT&T and they walked him through some additional things and they were able to fix it. James is just amazing ! It's embarrassing that customers are more informed than the staff. Instead of handling a simple upgrade, I was told it would take over an hour to complete what should be a quick, straightforward process. Trading in a phone and setting up a new one is not complicated, and the fact that it was treated like rocket science says everything about the lack of training here.
