I will NEVER AGAIN buy anything at the Verizon Store in Rye, New York!! Stay away from this store or else you will be scammed! These store employees have no shame and no integrity!! Read the other negative Yelp reviews about this store because it is clear that they are from legitimate customers and not fake like the positive reviews posted by the store employees and their friends. I purchased a new iPhone in this store to replace my prior cell phone because this store manager and the salesman both told me my phone was broken and could not be fixed. I found out a few months later that they lied. My prior phone was not broken and unrepairable. I gave that old phone to a friend who brought it to another store and all it needed was a new battery and the phone worked great afterward. So not only did the manager at the Verizon store in Rye, NY scam me and commit fraud by lying and telling my phone was unrepairable, but when I bought the new iPhone from them, they charged me an extra $240 for the "accessories" of the iPhone headphones/buds and the iPhone A/C plug. I found out later that those are included for FREE in the new iPhone boxes of items that are sold with the Apple phones! Now I know why the manager at the Verizon store did not give me the box with the new iPhone. He just setup the new phone from my old phone card and gave me the new phone without the original box and accessories. But that is not all the fraud the manager of the store committed to rob me. He then charged me another $185 for a protective cover and screen glass cover "accessories" that he said are REQUIRED by Apple to be sold with their iPhones to be able to get the included phone warranty protection from Apple. I found out later that the warranty is standard and included from Apple for free with the purchase of all iPhones! What is worse is that the protective cover has some small scratches on it and I also was not given the new box when I paid for it. Why? Because the store manager is a criminal and scammed me by giving me a USED accessory and lying about it. Months later when I realized that he scammed me on the new iPhone purchase, and the headphone/plug accessories, I removed the protective cover and saw it was big scratches and was worn on the interior. So yes, the protective cover was used and that store sold it as a new and requirement of Apple. If you go into this store you will notice that THERE ARE NO PRICE TAGS LISTED ON ANYTHING IN THE STORE!!! Why? Because the employees at this store are very corrupt and dishonest and they make up extremely high scam prices to customers!! That is correct, and it is called PRICE GOUGING and it is illegal in every state. The manager especially is a real crook and scams his customers by robbing them with price gouging ripoff prices. That is why he makes sure there are no price tags on any items in the store displays. So he can make up prices based upon how much he can be a criminal and ripoff customers that do not know what the normal prices should be on phones and accessories. P.S. When I first posted my negative review I received an email with a lot of threats from the manager at the Verizon store in Rye, NY threatening me for posting my honest negative review. I am re-posting this negative review because I received an email from Yelp support asking me to provide more details for my review before they posted it online. More details? Why is that? Does the Verizon store in Rye, New York get some kind of special protection on Yelp.com to prevent customers from posting truthful negative reviews? Or is it that the Verizon store owner threatened Yelp with legal action, just like the Verizon store manager threatened me after I posted this honest and truthful and evidence based negative review on Yelp? I have the phone and the accessories as EVIDENCE and I have many friends that got scammed and robbed by this store, so I can PROVE that everything written in this negative review is 100% accurate! Here is my prior post that Yelp wanted more details about: "I have many friends in Rye where the store is located who have confirmed with me they have been screwed when doing business at this store. Myself and everyone I know that has been a customer at this Verizon store have been cheated and over charged by this store's employees. They lie about everything to make customers buy phones by telling them their old phone is broken and cannot be fixed, or other lies. Another scam they pull is to ripoff customers by adding $200 extra on "accessories" for phones. Those "accessories" are sold in other stores and online for about $15 but the Verizon store in Rye, NY adds $200 to the real prices. Oh, yes, and I must tell you that sometimes the store gives customers USED accessories (phone protection covers, headphones, etc.) that were RETURNED BY PRIOR UNHAPPY CUSTOMERS! Wow! I'm relieved to see that this store already has such a low rating, but after learning some news about a phone I purchased at this store 10 months ago, I'd really like to make it lower. I literally made a yelp account just to post this! I'm not sure if I'm writing this more to vent, or in hopes that someone higher up reads this and fires the fat balding man with crooked teeth and blue eyes who sold me a 2013 iphone 10 months ago... But either way, I am currently praying a rosary that this store is vandalized and looted by some local punks this evening. I've already contacted my friendly neighborhood Voodoo Child to see how royally effed she can get this store (or the fat guy whose probably still lying to himself about the fact that there's someone out there who will look past his teeth and love him for the person he is) for $79. after walking out of the Port Chester store for lack of any customer service, AND KNOWLEDGE OF ANYTHING!!!!! came here and the guy was so helpful and smart. was able to get me the new iPhone without my bill going up almost 30 dollars a month like they told me was the only way it could be done in Port Chester. also set up put everything on my phone just like it was on my old phone, even came out in the pouring rain to set up my bluetooth, this will be the only Verizon store i ever shop in again! thank you for a great experience!!!! read more

Had an great experience at this Verizon, usually at cellphone stores you feel pressured into upgrading to the newest phones, but I felt like the man helping me was really trying to help me fix my phone rather then sell me a brand new one. They were also very knowledgeable about the plans, and helped me figure out the cheapest plan for me, and has since helped me with any further issues I have had! No other cellphone store has been this patient and helpful I give this store and Douglas 10 stars!! read more

I went to the store the other day bc my charger broke and i needed a new phone. Doug really took care of me. He answered all my questions and when I mentioned that I wanted iPhone 7 that they were sold out at the time, Doug went to another store to get it for me and walked me through the whole set up process and pricing etc. At the end it turned out to be a very good experience. Have used this Verizon location several times over the past six months. Excellent experience each time. Knowledgeable staff with good service. Worked to correct problems rather than try to sell products, although I have also purchased several phones for the family at this location. All staff good. Doug particularly helpful. This is the BEST verizon store in the entire area!! The guys are super helpful & adjusted my plan so I pay less a month. They took the time to answer all my questions about my new phone.I highly recommend them. & their store is conveniently on purchase street so I was able to walk to Starbucks while I was waiting.
