I was at the Verizon store today to pay my phone bill. I was also going to show my husband how to pay at the Kiosk so he can do it in my absence. As we walked up to the door there was a Securitas guard because of the Corona virus. He asked if we had an appointment we said here to pay a bill. I asked if we could go in together he said only one person in the store. I said but my husband didn't know how to work the machine he said ask the store assistant when they come out. We waited the assistant came out said you have a payment I said yes she said only one allowed in but before I could explain my husband needs help she just kept talking about only one allowed in the store I had to raise my voice to get her to stop and say can I explain my husband needs help with the machine she was very rude and then during this another security officer walked up he's not employed with securitas and stood outside with his hand on his weapon when my husband came out we were going to our car when he took pictures of us and our license plates my husband said why are you doing that I didn't give you permission plus we didn't do anything wrong!!! Our Verizon specialist that we spoke to today Daniel helped us with changing are plan but couldn't help us with anything else and we told him several times we wanted to upgrade. But unfortunately when he emerge from the room with our receipt of changes, he simply dismissed us so we aren't happy with the customer service and are super bummed no upgrade and unfortunately Verizon lost a sell. Thinking of changing so I can get a new phone. I do t wanna carrier that can't properly help me. read more

Next time I'm up for renewal I will not be using Verizon. I ordered 2 Google phones from their online service and have had nothing but a headache every since. They shipped the phone separate, one came in 4 days later for some crazy reason. The 1st phone went smoothly after we went to see JJ over on California. The kid was very polite and professional but even he had a bit of an issue getting it all set up. The 2nd phone - the late one, now that's another story.....I followed the instructions that came in the box 4 times and I finally received a message to call a 800 #, which I did. Rich answered the phone and treated me like some stupid kid. He couldn't get it to work and I kept telling him a message came up saying insert Sims card. He say "the card comes shipped inside the phone". Finally he said, get the key that came inside the box in a bag...bag,no bag...he insisted I had a darn bag which even the 1st phone didn't have. He says use an earring and you can open it up to check the card is installed. It opened and there was no card....he said " it's in your box". No it isn't I said over and over again. "You probably dropped it" he says. No I didn't drop it. It's not here. This went on for an hour before he said "we can ship you out a new Sims card at no extra cost. Seriously, I already waited way to long. He said you can pick one up tomorrow before work at no cost at the store on California. Well guess what happened next. He deactivated my other phone. I drive UBER before work so I lost out on earnings. I drove to the California office about 8:30 am and the lady says "we can't help you until 10 if you want to hang around.....once again seriously???? I drove away and called from my work phone and after 10 minutes I can now make calls. The only reason I give a 3 star is fir JJ who I will try and see tomorrow am since I have a commitment after work tonight. Meanwhile, my UBER app is no longer working on this fr*@$in phone. Thanks for nothing Rich and Verizon phone rep I ordered from. Still waiting to use your expensive phone. read more

I have been calling about my phone for the past 4 months and have been into 2 stores. I spent literally 2 hours on the phone with 4 diffrent people 2 days ago. The last agent i spoke with promised me she call and next day to follow uo with me and send me a replacement phone. Well as of yesterday i still have not recieved a phone call or an email. These people are ridiculous. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in October. I was told this is the best phone that they have . I only had it for a month and it burned me. I reported it to Verizon Wireless they refused to realize at this location that this cellular device is defective and I wanted a refund which they refused an I stormed out saying I'm going to bring the bat down on their corruption. read more

I had a factory issue with my phone and was sent to a store after chatting with a rep. online. The first time at the store was fine, the associate looked at my phone no more than 5 mins and sent me on my way telling me my replacement was issued and I'd be receiving it soon. When I received my replacement the box said not to mail back devices with swollen batteries (which is what mine had). I spoke with a rep. online again and asked them what I should do since I cannot mail this device back. They again referred me to the store saying I could take it there and return with them. I had an appointment at 5pm and showed up a few minutes late however still had to wait an additional 15 minutes to speak with someone. When I spoke with the associate, his demeanor was rude and condescending. I explained the situation and he wrote it off completely based on his "15 years experience" and said that I had bent my phone. I told him no, that is not correct, I told him exactly what happened and still, he accused me of bending my phone or stepping on it. Like seriously? Anyway, he refused to take my phone back, I told him it said I cannot ship it, I was told to bring it here, he said "well I can't do anything with it cause I don't want to be liable if anything happens to it" well neither do I, that's why I'm here!! I don't want the battery to explode either, which is why I'm here. I did not leave there till almost 5:40 and with no resolution! I'm regretting having switched to Verizon if this is the service provided by the associates. I definitely will not be coming back to this location again! read more

Never visited a Verizon store in years!!! Been a Verizon customer since 2002... But can't remember the last time I went in to a store. Always dealt with them online since I discovered the convenience of doing business with them that way. I do like this new location! Nice updated look. Contrary to most reviews, service we have received was great. Came in a couple times here at this location and had a great experience both times. First time we went, we had multiple business to take care of. I took my brother to get his phone checked if we can connect it with Verizon's prepaid line. Unfortunately, his phone could not be connected. So we went for Plan B... we connected one of our old phones to a new line for him temporarily until we get him another phone that can work with Verizon. We also came to connect my daughter's line to my old phone. Service was completed very quickly. Our service specialist, Dan Przybylski, also looked into options for me to save money on our current plan. Which he showed me and explained thoroughly. I appreciate that he wasn't too pushy about it. He explained that I don't need to make the switch now and can go home to think about it. And he also explained that if I decide to make the switch, to do it before my next billing cycle. The more ideal time to switch to avoid a confusing bill that shows pro-rated charges that may result to a higher bill on my next bill. Another time we went was when I needed to return a phone upgrade and disconnect a line. We were in and out quick as well and our service specialist (didn't get his name this time) was also very helpful. Both visits were very pleasant and no long wait time. Will not hesitate to come here again if I need anything. read more

The store was nice and fresh but the service was awful. I wanted to upgrade my phone and waited 30 minutes or more so I just walked away and went to Costco were I was attended right away. I seen a lot of associates in Verizon just walking around doing nothing and that really upset me. read more

I walked into this store really to spend over $1000 for a new phone and accessories. I had stopped at a different location but decided that I had always had wonderful service at the California ave location so I would give my business to them. MI walked in and it was a different look then what I was used to, the employees were in casual clothes, it kind of though me off I had been used to a business like atmosphere. My husband and I were approached by a young lady that said something like what do you need today. No hello just what do you need. I told her I need a new phone. We went through what kind of phone ect.... She walked towards the iPhones and we followed. I told her my phone was too heavy I want to find something lighter and my husband phone was much lighter but we have the same phone. Her facial expressions though me off and as she was rolling her eyes at me and asking me if it could be the case. I have to be honest she made me feel like I was talking to a sassy teenager. I looked at her as I was fuming and told her that I do not like her and I wanted someone else to help me. Yes I may of said it rudely but I tell you this the way this person was treating me was not right!!!! I told her to go away! I then looked over and there was another employee kneeling down doing something I asked If she was a manager she said no but I was rude saying what I did to the other gal. I turned around looking for a manager and one was coming towards us as she approached us a young man (employee) was walking toward us as well. I told the manager that I would wait while she handles what he needed he then said he didn't need anything, which then upset me because the only reason he came over to us was to get into our conversation. I told him then he just needed to leave this was none of his business. The manager then told me not to talk to him like that. I'm sorry but I have be in management most of my life and she should of asked him to leave and then I wouldn't of told him to leave! Once he left I explained to her how the young lady was rolling he eyes at me and I do not appreciate it that I was there to buy a phone and spend more then $1000 in her store and I shouldn't be treated this way! My husband said let's just leave but I thought this might get better and truly wanted to buy a new phone. The manager and I talked and she showed me things about the phones and accessories. As we are talking my husband tells me again let's just go the employees are glaring at him I told him it's fine they all just want to know what's going on. He chose to leave because he refused to sit in a store that the employees were making him feel so uncomfortable. I continue to talk to the manager and she asured me that this issue would be addressed I told her that I appreciate that but I will be filing a complaint about the way we were treated and that it wasn't right that I came to this store because I had always had wonderful service. She continued to help me and yes I got the information I went into the store for and yes she helped me decide which phone I want to buy but I will not spend my money in this location!!! I have been a Verizon customer for more then 20 years and this one experience has me wondering why would I continue to give my money to a company that would allow their employees to basically control a store. This stores employees including the manager that was in charge on July 25 2018 around 5pm act as if this is high school and this is their territory. I may have been rude by telling someone to leave but I should of never had to!!! The manager should of handled it before I did. As I was leaving the manager thanked me for saying something about this instead of just leaving and not saying anything as she was saying this her employees were gathering together behind her. I have never been in any store in my life that I felt more uncomfortable. I hope that someone puts an end to this! If I could give this store a negative star rating I would!! read more

I have been with Verizon for about 10 years now so I know what it's like to go in and get customer service. I use to go to old location on Oak. Long story short, there was about 12 staff members and yet I was put on the phone to speak to Verizon. The guy who dialed for me looked like he hated being there. Was around 3 minutes while I'm on the phone. Then leaves to get on his cell phone like all the other staff members. When I get off the phone no one acknowledges me. Bad service. Why have so many people when nobody want to help or be there? Maybe that's why the store was empty, because of the bad service. read more

I wanted to upgrade, so I did it over the phone and paid the fees and customer care told me to just go pick it up at this location. Originally a girl helped us, but she seemed a little rude and not willing to help at all. Until Oscar asked us what he can do to help, we explained that the girl said we couldn't get the phone because it was still "pending" and he went out of his way to help us. He did inform us that is was still pending, but asked us questions in order to accommodate us. Meanwhile the girl was in the back trying to "figure it out". He called customer care himself to see what was going on, he informed us that we could get it that same night and it all went smoothly.
