Awful experience every time. I had to return to the store to finish the set up, i was told by an employee he would check me in in a moment. I wait there and then two new customers come in, and he goes in to check them in and continues to ignore me. I leave the store and i come back, employees just sitting there while i wait for over an hour, continue to get told i will be helped soon, continue to just wait while other customers get helped. I went to this Verizon store to get a new iPhone, and the service was very good. The worker there, Andrew, was very informative and made sure that we knew our options and got a good deal. He also did a tempered-glass process to make the new iPhone scratch resistant. With the upgraded plan, I got a tenth gen iPad for $500 off; good value. I would recommend this location. read more

However had I known I would have to pay $24.99 for adding cellular for a new Apple Watch and then connecting it, I would have done it over the phone! It's right across the street from Apple Store, how convenient, right? Also when I walked in the guy who greeted me asked what I was on for, told me to "sit" and walked away, never to return again. I came in half an hour before store close, and didn't know I was such an inconvenience. The salesman told me the doors are usually locked after 8:30 because they don't do walk-ins and talked in a very rude and disrespectful tone and overall very sassy. He said other locations close earlier, ok but it's not my problem that this location has different hours? Isn't that for the customers' convenience? Work somewhere else? When I first came in, no greeting, just a loud shout "is it a quick question? because I need to leave at 9 on the dot" He gave me a lot of attitude, ignored me multiple times, apologized to another customer for helping me like I was an inconvenience to them, rushed the whole process, carelessly explaining everything to me. He was not helpful, very entitled, and he also said to the other customers in front of me, how people love to come in 10 minutes before the store closes to get help and mocking me. I came in 30 minute before and didn't think I would stay long anyway. The whole process took 10 minutes. I don't understand why all this attitude. It felt very isolated and bullied in that store with no one helping me. I tried to speak up for myself, and said that the hours worked for my schedule and that's why I came at the time I did, but he cut me off mid sentence and started talking to the other customers. How rude. I will NEVER be coming back here. If you are not interested in getting disrespected, please avoid this place. How does someone like that even get hired here? First...be aware this is not a Verizon store -- it's a third party as noted by a small sign hanging in the back. That's important because when we upgraded a phone a couple of weeks ago they charged a "set up and go" fee of $29.99. I had assumed this was Verizon's upgrade fee. It is not a Verizon fee, it's a fee this store charges in addition to whatever upgrade fee Verizon will charge. It's in the fine print of the deal, but they did not mention this fee or point it out before signing. Always read what you sign and ask questions! They refused to refund the fee because I had signed the agreement. So beware when shopping there. Go to an actual Verizon store when upgrading and save yourself $30. read more

I feel so cheated and lied to by the Verizon of Burlingame! They seemed so nice at first but now I see they were wolf in sheep skin! Buyer beware! We went in a couple of months ago n they talked us into this great offer they have and how we can get new phones on them. The great deal they talked about was giving $800 towards your new phone when you trade in your phone. They also insisted that we should get these free cellular Apple Watches and offered iPads too that we really didn't need! We fell for the watches but we already had iPads! The first bill was not a regular bill and they told us wouldn't be because we still had to pay the taxes on the full price of the phones, the second wasn't either, I just looked at our 3rd bill and realized they are charging us the full price for the phones n the watches and we don't seem to have gotten any credit for our two phones they took! I still don't know what my bill is or what we are really paying for and where did all those great deals went! I have had 3 payments for three months and each is different! I just checked to see how much I would have had to pay for my exact phone if I bought it from apple directly with my trade in and I would have had to pay ~$950 yet with all the great discount I still owe verizon of Burlingame ~$1020 to pay in the next 33 months for just one of the phones! The watches are also being charged monthly to cover their full price not free!!!(I have not checked these but we seem to owe ~$275 for the next 33 months!) As I am typing this the Verizon ad just announced their great deal to get iPhone 14, Apple Watch and iPad on them!!! There were two employees tag teaming us n tried to sound like they were doing us such favor! Do not go into this store! Pick pockets steal from you once these people get you every month! I had heard so much about Verizon but first hand experience they really suck! This could be the worst Verizon store on the peninsula. Every time I have gone in there... And it's three times now... They are unhelpful and dismissive. Case in point... I went in yesterday to switch devices. I am not a licensed Verizon technician, so I took the phones in so they could help me. The Latin gentleman... That I would loosely refer to as a manager... Looked at me and just said just switch the Sim cards. Really? Thank you... I don't know how to do that and that's why I'm here dummy. Ordered phone online for express pick up. At pick up processed order and they gave someone else's order which was the wrong phone color and size/order. Unfortunately family member picking up didn't notice till already gone. Also this screw up according to Verizon apparently cancelled our trade in. Had to go all the way back 25 min away to get correct phone and then come home deal with Verizon customer service to try to fix. Huge hassle still trying to fix. They were not friendly or very helpful and they were using vulgar language in store. read more

I felt that the service at Verizon Burlingame was beyond remarkable and with the current global situation felt like the vibes, attitude and service was 100/100!! Rafael was great - helpful with good humor. He communicated promptly and was flexible with timeliness. I had to bring in a non functioning LTE Home Internet box to get a new SIM as the old one had become corrupted. I spent 1.5 hours on webchat with Verizon customer support. But, I came into the Burlingame Verizon store and was in and out in 20 minutes. Ibrahim was very helpful in getting me exactly what I needed and back in operation. I finally decided to jump ship from AT&T to Verizon after all these years. I was referred to Wilmer (Wil)by a good friend so decided to visit the Burlingame store. Wil went the whole "9" yards to help me transfer 4 phones and 1 Iwatch with ease. Wil took the time to explain the plan , rebates and the steps he needed to get my account to the Verizon family. Wilmer treated my account like it was "his" personal account during the process. Wilmer was so accommodating even though 1 of my lines was overseas (Hawaii). He even took the time to contact a sister store in Hawaii so my daughter could just pick a SIM card without further delay on her phone service. I hope Verizon wireless service will be as good as the service Wil provided me. read more

Rafael was so amazing to asked me what I was looking for and for what I was going to use the items .. My biggest pet peeve is feeling the pressure of someone selling something ( trust me I did sales in the past ) , but Rafael walked through all the steps and helped me find something that was a great fit for US.. This store is HORRIBLE and this review is long overdue. I was too embarrassed to post it. The service the manager (Wilbur, I think) provided me at the time and Rafael (his co worker) was atrocious. I had a broken glass screen on my phone and was told by Wilbur that I could replace it here or go to a place across the street on Burlingame Ave. (across from Vineyard Vines) to fix it. He said he knew the guy there well named "Jimmy" and said he did a decent job. I chose to replace the screen at the place they suggested since I had had the same phone for years (S5) with tons of pictures and texts that I wanted to keep for sure. They couldn't confirm that I would be able to keep it all. Gave "Jimmy" at the other place my phone and he gave me a temporary one that belonged to him. It then took about 4 hours to fix my phone. He didn't fix it right and replaced the screen with a old replacement screen from another S5 he had. I paid him in full. The screen worked for 10 minutes then wouldn't respond to my touch anymore. Gave "Jimmy" back the phone and he tried to push me to get a refurbished phone from him. He actually went on to say how easy it is to break into these old s5 and s4 phones (unlike the Iphone which became an important point later) I was not going to do that as I would have just got it from Victra in the first place. I had paid in full for a screen replacement and wanted all my info which was more important than the phone. Anyways, "Jimmy" had to order a replacement screen and have it delivered to him which took 2 or 3 more days. Meanwhile, I had one of his phones with a temp new sim. Finally got my phone back but it had a cheap aftermarket screen that wasn't glued on right so the pictures weren't lined up and the color tones were off. I realized by going back to Verizon Victra Wireless that my phone had the pictures copied to a removable drive. Being as phone tech unsavvy as I am, I didn't realize that you could have a S5 and not have the password but still be able to copy pictures by taking out the sim card and putting it in another old S5. I bought a new S9 from them at that point and made payments on it. I was thankful to Victra at that point for letting me know about the picture issue as I had a lot of sensitive info in the picture album that had been copied at that point. Went to the police station in Burlingame and filed a report. The cop decided to check it out as I had one album with sensitive information and another one that had pictures of my toddler since she was born at the time. He told me that it probably wouldn't be prosecutable given the complexity of getting proof, ect. The cop questioned "Jimmy", then Rafael and (Wilbur I think too) at Victra, after taking my statement. Which Rafael and Wilbur apparently denied they sent me there or that anyone there let me know about the copied pictures. In the end, all I had was a police report and a hope that I wouldn't have to go any further with this. Several months later I was using my new phone and something popped up that said this drive isn't supported anymore and the album that had the pictures that had been copied by "Jimmy" had disappeared off my S9 phone. The funny thing was that that same album on my old S5 had disappeared too. It was like any evidence of the copying of pictures was gone. I remembered that when I bought the new phone and brought in the old one to Victra, the guy installed Smart Switch on my phones to get all the data transferred over. He put it on, set the password, and the settings that allowed all the access to phones and I never changed the password or the settings. I went into Victra to discuss what I thought could have happened. It was denied and I was insulted. The guys did ask me if I had the pictures copied to anything else which I did. They seemed disappointed at that. That part was another story that I wont share here. To make a long story a little shorter, I took my S9 to the new Samsung store in Palo Alto and had them look at my phone to see if the Smart Switch could have done that on its own or if the phone would just delete my album off of both phones and Samsung said no way. A whole lot of dicey stuff going on and no one got in trouble but maybe I can save the next person some trouble. read more

This store completely lied to me and changed my contract without permission. I asked to buy a new phone outright and to pay in full. Now I've discovered that my contract has been renewed 2 years without my permission and my rate has been changed. I have no recourse to fix this via Verizon, and no trust that this store will restore my original contract. In the midst of COVID they are scamming their customers and taking advantage of people. However, because I was outside my 30 day window they refused to return it. I was given the run around and was told come back to the store when the manager was there so that he could type in the code. Well, on my 3rd trip to the store to return the item, I was told I needed to contact corporate. What a joke! After 2 plus hours on the phone the issue is still not resolved. First of all let me explain this location is not an official corporate Verizon dealer, they are an authorized dealer. Which means they are an independent Verizon dealer. They have zero accountability and zero oversight. If they promise something they will not honor it because they know they will not be responsible for misrepresentation.The entire sales team especially the manager Thomas are completely dishonest and disrespectful.Thomas will never be honest with you, he is what is known as a charlatan. Thomas will tell you one thing and the next day will tell you something completely different, a complete 360 of what he initially said. Without getting into too much detail, Thomas was completely unaware of his own fabrications the day before when he made promises he could not fulfill. When confronted with the contradictions Thomas's face turned blood shot and he couldn't complete a sentence. Thomas might look like an adult but he has a child's intellect. When I asked him why he had lied he stated he didn't lie he was just confused and told me the wrong thing when he meant to say something completely different. . I had left in disgust only to come back a few minutes later where I witnessed Thomas bragging to his other employees about "see how I put that guy in his place " . I confronted Thomas and with a blood shot face he tried to tell me he was talking about someone else all while stuttering uncontrollably. This manager Thomas is a a disrespectful worm. Yesterday I signed in at Verizon in Burlingame. There were four names on the list. They said they would text me when they were ready for me. I guess they're trying to be Apple which they're not. I went outside and talked to a woman who had previously signed in. She had been waiting an hour and a half. We talked for about 15 or 20 minutes at which point I decided I wanted to leave because my meter was about to expire. I was m there to buy a cord to charge up my phone. The guy working in the store had previously been telling this customer 10 more minutes 10 more minutes. When she approached him to say I've been waiting an hour and a half are you almost done he shook his head no and when she asked why he didn't communicate with her about the length of time getting longer and longer nearing 2 hours he really had no reply. Obviously he's terrible at communication and Verizon really doesn't give two hoots about their customers at all. read more

First entered the store and was stared at by the workers instead of greeted. This should have been my first hint to exit the store. Upon looking at the phones, we were told they would be right with us to assist. A few minutes passed with no further follow up and so we left. When we returned about an hour later we asked for assistance. Jessie confirmed they had the phone we wanted to purchase. I confirmed Verizon is our current carrier. He couldn't find my account and so he gave me a strange look and asked if I was sure we had a Verizon account. I've had a contract prior to Verizon even being Verizon- over 25+years. I told him I have the account open on my phone with details and pay them monthly. He finally then asked me to allow him access to login to my account, verify via text, and asks for my ID. After a long stare at my ID, he goes on about changing my account so we can upgrade with a trade in for $800 at no additional costs. Then he begins selling an iPad, watch and internet service. I said we are not interested in those and wanted to purchase a phone. He cuts me off and rudely said let me finish talking and continued with his pitch. I clarified that we wanted to purchase a new phone and I was not interested in anything more. I said no thanks to having any changes on my account and no longer wanted to purchase from the Burlingame location for I felt the customer service and treatment was poor. I'm not sure if he made the changes but I asked him to log out of my account. He was very unprofessional, disrespectful and discriminatory throughout our visit and I definitely did not feel comfortable with our conversation and the way he spoke at me. read more

This is partially Verizon's fault partially the stores. I remember when branding on authorized resellers was different from Verizon corporate stores. I avoid authorized resellers, because I do not receive a corporate discount on accessories. I went to the Burlingame store with the assumption that it was a Verizon corporate store since it did not have any notation that it was an authorized reseller outside, it just said Verizon. I wanted a charging cable that was $15 at Verizon. The rep rang me up and asked me to pay with no mention of the price. I asked if he needed my phone number (standard practice at a Verizon store to verify a discount) and he said "no just tap your phone." I received my receipt and was charged $43 for an Amazon knock-off cable. I told him that I would like to return it, because I didn't realize it was an authorized reseller. He said, "what? Do you think we are bogus?" I told him, no I get a 40% discount at the Verizon store and he said, "oh you should have told me that, I would have given you 50% off, but not anymore, it's too much work." He then went on to tell me all the Verizon stores are closed (which is not true) and that if I want to come back to the Burlingame authorized reseller, I will need to make an appointment. I am the only person in the World who has to make an appointment to go to that store, all because I was misled into where I was shopping and overcharged for something I can get at ANY STORE. read more

Went here to transfer 2 phone numbers. I was told I would get a promo gift card for porting each number. Fast forward a few months I still have not received the gift card. I've been to the store a few times and they keep telling me to call a number. I've called the number about 5 times and they keep saying that I will receive a call back in 1-2 days. Never received a call. No one is available to resolve the issue and they keep punting you to different departments. Issue is still unresolved after a few months. read more
