    Ron working his magic!

    Called on a Monday evening after our car battery crapped out. I spoke with Ron who gave me the options for the batteries that fit my vehicle, and said they could install it for me if I brought it by. Rolled in within 15 minutes to a mostly empty parking lot. Ron was outside helping another vehicle install some new windshield wipers. We went in, spoke to the gentleman at the counter who helped us purchase the battery. After paying, I carried the battery outside where Ron met me with his cart of tools. Ron worked diligently and carefully to replace the battery. He took the extra time to clean the casing and all the terminals, which was greatly appreciated. He genuinely seemed to want to do a good job. As he was working, we started chatting a bit. He is an SF native, so we had some good chats about the 49ers and other Bay Area happenings. He worked efficiently and was done in less than half an hour. It probably would have been even shorter if I hadn't distracted him with chit chat. Overall this is your standard O'Reilly Auto Parts. They have all the typical parts and accessories you would expect to find. The reason for the 5 star review is Ron and his customer service. Again, I super appreciated his attention to detail, and ability to help install something I don't have the tools to do myself. I assume they won't always be able to help, depending on staffing and availability. I would recommend calling ahead of time and asking if they have the capacity to help with whatever you need specifically. Thanks again Ron, we will be back!

    Came in to O'Reilly Auto Parts on El Camino in Millbrae on the afternoon of Monday, October 10, 2022. I was equipped with text messages from my husband for specific windshield wipers for our Ford Explorer. Immediately upon entry, I was greeted by one of the team members at the counter. I showed him the text messages from my husband and after searching in his computer, he went to the back, and came back with wipers. After purchase, he asked if the car was outside because he was willing to install them for me. Since I didn't drive the Explorer to the shop, he offered to install them if my husband or I returned with the S.U.V. I was in and out of the store in ten to fifteen minutes, tops. Unfortunately, when I returned home with the wipers, my husband disappointedly said that the O'Reilly store clerk did not look in detail at every text containing the links to the windshield wipers. Apparently, he gave me the older styles for the two front wipers instead of the newer ones that my husband specified in his texts. No biggie - they still worked, but thoroughness in checking for the correct products would have been appreciated. They have a big parking lot, though.

    Their customer service is pretty good. Very helpful & returns were easy to make. Parking was easy.

Me being an observant person (yes I'm still using my phone going on social media and watching videos and what not) I'm also listening and being aware of what's going on around me. I listen and noticed that the African American Man (wearing all black) short hair with cornrow braids on his head is very rude the way he talks to his employees. He is the opening manager named Darrence. I absolutely do not like the way he treats his employees. He yells at them and gives them attitude which is unacceptable and definitely looks very uncomfortable place to work at. He must be coached on the way he speaks to his employees. I understand that the employees make minor mistakes, but there's no need to talk to them the way that Darrence did. Victor (older Asian male) helped us out and was wonderful. He had excellent customer service and it was very knowledgeable. He was quick on his feet and provided outstanding customer service. We do appreciate Victor for all he does. Thank you for your hard work, attentiveness, kindness, and knowledge Victor, you deserve a raise.
