The male hispanic manager told me the Pro pencil worked with the Ipad 10th Gen and the 10th gen would be cheaper as they have a special running on it. I agreed as they should know what works and what doesn't. They didn't have the Pro pencil in stock so I would have to purchase it separate. I said no problem I can do that. After spending two hours in the store setting everything up I leave with the new Ipad. So, I go to a big box store to purchase the Pro pencil and they tell me that the Pro pencil will NOT work with the Ipad I have. This is frustrating to me! I call and speak with the store manager at T-mobile and he says, "well I googled it and it said it was compatible" . You googled it??!! This your job and I feel it is something you should know! Then, a few weeks later I get a welcome letter in the mail saying "Thank you for signing up for the Protection 360 for your new device" I did NOT sign up for it and was NEVER asked if I wanted to. None of our other devices (11 on the account) have the protection so why would I start now? After some digging I find out that they do not just add the protection automatically, it has to be put on my account by the clerk/manager that I worked with. So I spent more time calling to have it canceled. Do your own home work on compatibility for your devices AND make sure they don't slam you with the 360 Protection if you don't want it. I would stay away from this location!!

They offered me a time that worked for MY schedule (within their working hours) and quoted $100 less than Apple. In addition, they offer pickup and drop-off! The owner messaged me himself and came to pick up my phone so I could keep my work-from-home meeting. Within an hour, I was at the store picking up my phone. Case repaired and no hidden fees, just the agreed-upon price! I would definitely use New Era again, but hopefully not too soon....

While I am not glued to my phone on social media, like most people, I do it a lot for making reservations, Yelp check-ins, emails and text messages to a few people. I do have a second phone, so all was completely loss, but this was my primary phone. As it was a Friday night, I reached out to a few places on Yelp and New Era was the only place that responded right away. The Doctor and I were scheduled to leave town the following week and I was trying to get the phone repair ASAP to take with me. Juan was very responsive and took care of me right away. The repair looked amazing with the screen working as intended. Unfortunately the damage was not just with the screen, but far more extensive than initally thought. Not sure what happened during that fall, but the phone would not stay connected to network, even though my second phone as well as The Doctor/Queen's were fine. I ended up needing another phone, which was needed as I wanted something smaller for going into my smaller Louis Vuittons. But the work that Juan did was amazing and fast, and the price was just right. I am going to take in my HP for a rehaul, just haven't had the time to do so yet. But I will be taking it as well as some other ones in for additional memory, etc. to improve the performance.

While I waited for a new Samsung update to complete, Bert attended to other customers, giving each of them his full attention and skills as a expert problem solver. Oh, did I say he's personable, smart and approachable? If Bert's store manager or the regional manager were there, I'd tell them to give Bert a bonus or raise for the value he gives to Store 7861. Since I couldn't, I'll just say, "Thank you, Bert, for taking good care of all your customers." Points to the store for being well tended. The music was upbeat and set at a volume where you could have a conversation and hear yourself think. Bert and his co-worker acknowledged customers who were waiting and assured them that the work queue was moving along.

Finding a quality mobile carrier and phone with good customer service is rare these days. The luckiest call I made, scoring all three happened back in February when I reached Jonathan at the Lakeview Verizon store. Jonathon was incredible to work with and to say he knows his stuff is an understatement ! I actually waited a couple months for the Galaxy S4 to launch (unfortunately Verizon was a little late to the party), but very happy I waited. I probably spoke with Jonathan about 5 plus times before finally pulling the trigger and abandoning Sprint (and don't get me started on how horrible Sprint is!). Making the switch was unexpectedly easy and logical. Jonathan not only explained, but walked through all set up processes, including data transfer, rebates, billing, phone operations and recommended (but no hard sell) great accessories! In my observation, there's a lot of nuances and details in finding or changing mobile carriers. As a cautious consumer, I need someone who is as patient as is intelligent and accurate. This was certainly my experience. Also, a note about product/pricing: I'm actually paying about as much as I did with Sprint on a shared plan. I'd rather have unlimited minutes with Verizon than unlimited data with Sprint any day. I had an incredible experience at this Verizon store thanks to Sunny, who was not only extremely helpful but also a joy to converse with. My cat had broken my phone, leaving the touchscreen finicky and unresponsive to certain buttons. Sunny was so patient and took the time to help me figure out which upgrade would give me the best benefits at the lowest cost. He ended up saving me over $800 on my new phone! On top of that, I received some free goodies, including a phone case, Naztech wireless headphones, and the cutest Velvet Caviar wireless charger. Normally when I get tech support, the experience feels quiet and transactional--but Sunny made it engaging, conversational, and genuinely enjoyable. Enjoying something from this strip mall? Great! Just don't set foot off the property - otherwise your car will get booted. While I did see the sign that says please do not park in the middle of the parking lot, I missed the sign that says your call will be booted if you step foot off the premises regardless of if you purchased anything from the strip mall. The fee to remove the boot? $140. That's an expensive trip to Verizon. Despite leaving the property for ~10 minutes the car was booted and I was required to pay $140...I would suggest you avoid any businesses in this strip mall and spend your money elsewhere. read more

Do not visit this store - go to any alternate store or competitor. The property owner of this plaza has shake down parking company (innovative parking) that waits to boot your car and then charge you $170 to have the boot removed. I visited a store in this plaza and was booted. When I even agreed to pay - they still wouldn't remove the boot. Literally had to call the chicago police to come and make these guys remove the boot after nearly 1 hour. Make this place owner and property manager know that they are harming customers and the parking company they hired is literally holding people hostage. read more

During the visit, one employee came across as rude and had an attitude while assisting customers. Customer service felt dismissive rather than welcoming. Waiting that long for such a basic transaction was frustrating, especially when the interaction itself only took a moment once it finally happened. A store like this should have enough staff available to handle simple things like payments without long delays. Better staffing and a more professional approach to customers would really improve the experience for people who come in just trying to take care of something quick.

Then it was my turn and he apologized profusely for having me wait - which I had expected - any time you go into a cell phone store I expect at least a 30 - 60 min wait time (unless it is a genius bar appointment - at which time you will wait over 11/2 hours (at least the one in old orchard)- and this is when I had an appointment lol. So yes go to this Verizon above all if you want to get a good deal and a sales associate who will get you it - you have found the right place.
