Once again Verizon employees FAIL. Last time I went in because I was due for a new phone I was told I'd have to pay $600.00 for it over monthly installments when we bought my last one outright for $350.00. I explained this to the employee who evidently works on commission and he said nothing. Apparently if I waited 3 or 4 more days until my contract was up, I could buy it the way I did previously. Only once I asked how to do that did the employee offer that important little bit of information. It was as if he was trying to get me to buy it for double in order to make his commission greater. AWESOME customer service, dude. Screw me for as much as you can get. Today, I went in to get my phone now that my contract is up and when asked for my I.D., I handed it over. Apparently it has expired. I was told that after 10+ years as a customer, with obviously MY face on my expired I.D., they could not do it. To protect them/me from fraud. MY face, I know all the passwords on my account, and nothing could be done. I have paid my bill every damn month for over 10 years and no options. Terrible customer service! I waited 25 minutes today, after the greeter put me on a list for assistance. Multiple people came in after me and were helped before me. Apparently the manager decided who will receive assistance, and maybe since I needed help and wasn't making a purchase, I was going to be last. Very bad business. read more

Do not buy a non-contract phone from Verizon, and take it into the Store in the mall. It makes you a 2nd class citizen. I took in my phone, because the 1 800 number told me to, and they refused to help me. They were suppose to install a new sym card, as per the 800 Verizon number people, but told me it was damaged, and that I had to go elsewhere. After 20 minutes of having my phone in their back room? The store Manager, Blair Wortham got involved, inuendoed that I was lying, twice., I go to Best Buy and the first thing the lady says is...there is two Sym cards in here? So they Verizon Store guys, took my memory stick out and stuck another sym in. When I called Blair this morning to ask for my memory card back, he said THEY did not put in the 2nd Sym card, and he called back and said they did not have my Memory Card. In this process they also said that I was a non-contract person, and they did not have to help me. Blair was condecending and has now called me a liar, in no uncertain terms 3 times. I know, when the 800 Verizon people were troubleshooting with me over the phone, that I had a small card, sym and a slightly larger card, which was my Memory Card. I took it into the Verizon Store here, and when I leave, I now have two sym cards in it! The same size. And when I call back, he denies that they did this.So what were they doing for 20 minutes in the back room? I told Blair that I did not care if they stuck a zebra and an elephant in the two slots, just please give me back the memory card, it has 600 pictures I can't replace. He said they didn't have it. NO SERVICE!, HE WAS RUDE! I know Karma will prevail. Do not expect service from this store, they have NO INTEGRITY! If they are not making commission off of you, they will NOT HELP YOU! Best Buy gave me a new memory card, gave me a new phone, transferred my number, and my settings. Best Buy was Amazing! And they have all the Verizon phones in stock. I've been a loyal Verizon customer for two years. I started my contract two years ago. My phone's speaker stopped working 31 days after my contract began. I didn't have replacement insurance, so I've been using a Bluetooth headset for two years so I can hear the person calling me. That is my fault, though. I didn't have insurance. Yesterday, I walk into this branch, and I wait, literally for over an hour trying to get my expired contract switched over to a prepaid month to month plan with the same number. My contract terminated yesterday, but they told me I could not switch to a prepaid plan and keep my same number. They tried to get me to upgrade to another contract device and renew instead. I finally get the representative to be on the same page as me and start talking about prepaid plans and devices. They didn't have the device they said they had on the phone. They said if I wanted to switch my number to a prepaid plan on the date of my contract expiring, I would be subject to a $120 EFT. I said, "how can that be?" I just payed $80+ dollars for next month which is beyond my contract end date (yesterday). The representative's eyes glazed over and basically said, that's the way it is and shrugged his shoulder's helplessly. I went to AT&T and got on a prepaid plan with them. When they tried to port the number, there was a block on it. I returned to the Verizon store, and they said there was no block on the number. Back to AT&T...block on the number. In frustration, I accepted a new number and got on with my day. The Verizon staff at this particular location should all be fired or, alternatively, commended by Verizon for living up to customer service standards. I'll accept inferior coverage just so I don't have to send money to a company like this anymore. read more

I've gotten some really bad service at this Verizon before but my boyfriend and I both came in a week apart and spoke to Adam and we both loved him. I suggest if you have to go in to Verizon to call and make an appointment with him! Thank you for all your help!! read more

My Iphone was having a problem when reviving calls so I took it into a verizon store. I had to wait over an hour after being told it would be a 15 minute wait only for them to tell me they can't fix the problem unless i update my iphone which i declined because the update slows your phone to the point of not working (Thats what happen to my old Iphone). read more

While i try to make it a practice not to speak ill of others, i will say i felt something beyond disturbed after dealing with the employees here - - with the exception of the manager who indeed listened to me but was off work as i was coming into his store. i cannot recall his name. my experience may have been radically different had he assisted me. i went to the store to make an exchange of phones. it was in February of this year. However i left this store with HUNDREDS of dollars worth of things i did not need, some things i could not even work, and a line of service i do not use. i would have preferred to be treated as an individual instead of a commodity. i dealt with this store in some years past and it was awful. i gave them a second chance because i believe a consumer can get a fair experience with the right salesperson. I recommend avoiding this location completely if you need to deal with Verizon. There are online assistants who are fantastic and some representatives on the phone lines. i recommend asking employees if they like their jobs and what their experience is with the company. those who genuinely understand what it is like to feel you have been financially stripped by a corporation of any kind will be those whom you can work with and feel good about your interactions for at least as long as you are paying for the services. read more

Attended store 3 times...super busy... able to catch sales girl at opening time on 3rd try. We reviewed the Note 4 understanding I intended to buy one, and were reviewing billing and pkg options for some time. Girl said she'd take a quick drink of water and wait while I called my wife to ask about phone insurance. 1 minute call, ready to purchase, no sales girl. Looked around... not found. So I waited playing with the phone 40 minutes. Grabbed the scheduler guy who only connects sales people to customers. He said because I had stepped out he gave the sales girl to someone else and I'd have to wait. Waited another 20 minutes, went to restroom, re approached scheduler who kept saying "I understand" so I let him know he clearly didn't, that the sale was supposed to happen an hour ago. While expressing my discontent another employee walked up and interrupted us with a question about her break. After stating she was interrupting and one more "I understand" followed by "as soon as we have someone" I left. A waiting customer said "I totally sympathize" as I left. I was ready to purchase phone and accessories appr. $1000 total. I told the fella he lost a sale but he looked at me with a "so what" look while nicely saying one more time "I understand sir" one more time. No sale, no return by me in the future (promise) and the scheduler was a latin man scheduled at 20th St Chico, CA store appr 11:30am - 12:15 PM 10/20/15. I really need help setting up my phone after purchase but have no options as Best Buy nearby had no phone attendants available. Please explain the importance of a lost sale to this gentleman. When I told him he lost a sale he appeared dis concerned, as though it happens all the time. I told him he looked like he didn't care he lost a sale.... just a shrug. Indifference drives away customers faster than anything. Good luck with this guy. Your system of scheduling people in order of arrival can be made more palatable by an occasional acknowledgement by staff, and frankly it's not working. Buyers are leaving by the handful. I have been a Verizon customer for over 7 years now. I have a family plan with 7 lines. I am very unhappy with the service I received yesterday (Sunday 12/28) at the Chico Mall location. I went into the store to return my unopened/unused IPhone 5S. I was initially told a 15 min wait, as I watched numerous customers arrive after me get helped. 45 mins later I was finally helped, I asked the associate if I would get a full refund and I was told yes because the box was not opened or activated. He processed the return but saw I was charged the $35 restocking fee, he then verified it with his manager and I was told that it applies because it was over 3 weeks since I had bought it. I told him it had been 2 weeks and 1 day so it wasn't 3 weeks. He then asked me if I wanted to speak to the manager, I said yes. The manager then told me I had 3 days to return it with a full refund. I left the store a bit confused because I was being told different things. I called customer service just to verify the info and they said it is 14 days from the date of purchase ( I was 1 day over). I then left the mall and went home. I began to think about what happened and went back to the store to see if I could reverse what I had done. I had to wait again (for about a hour, which I was fine with). I was then told that Fed Ex had already picked up my phone, (it had been 2 hrs since I left the first time) and that I would have to buy a new phone from them. I don't know if what I was told was true or not, but I just had this bad feeling. I felt as if that store did not want to help me because I did not buy the phone from their location. And when they told me the phone was already gone, I felt they just wanted me to buy a phone from their store for the profit, not to help me as a customer. This store doesn't deserve a star. I fooshisy fell for a sales pitch I feel stupid about. I was at the store on December 6,2016 and was told by solutions specialist Alix Chase that with a purchase of iPhone 7 I would receive a free iPad mini 2 and other accessories. Upon listening to my husband who said something didn't seem right about the bill, I called Verizon today and was told I was paying for an iPad mini 2 for 400. Along with accessories. I went to Verizon store on 20th street in Chico only to be treated like shit by solution manager Alex Cuna who said why didn't you look at your bill, I would've. I told him I trusted Alix who sold me bill of goods. And didn't question it. She new damn well I was told the iPad was free with phone and accessories as I said to my husband who said we didn't need another iPad as we already had an iPad Air. But I said it was free with iPhone 7, we could give it as a gift. I strongly suggest be aware of their sales pitch so you don't get taken like I did. I went to at&t to find out what they had to offer and seems better than Verizon. I paid off both my iPhones at Verizon today to be told by Alex Cuna that it could only be paid by a credit card. So I paid off mine and went back later to pay my husband's and the girl who waited on me said she could take cash and didn't understand why they said only a credit card could be taken by Alex Cuna. He also lied to me. This place is dog eat dog, beware as I'd hate to see another person used. I could go on but I won't. If a buyer has any more questions call 530-801-1584.
