Last month my friend & I were treated so respectfully at this location. Everyone was kind to us!!! We got to work with Chris. He went above and beyond explaining everything to us during and after that day. Yes, frantic phone calls were made once we got home due to things getting tough installing new equipment! Overall we have to share the support overcame the stress! Today, (a whole month later) we went back to the same location to get some additional in person help, once again there was so MUCH patience and kindness! It was the real deal -no fluke!!! We bought new phones and were trading in our older phones. On that day our trade ins were valued at $899 each. We were told we should keep our old phones in case we discovered something didn't transfer properly. They told us just bring the phones back before 30 days. We brought the phones in well before the 30 days and they refused to give us the $899 per phone dropping in to $700 per phone. They said oh no that was a promotion for a certain time and it's over. This is horrible business. They don't care! Go somewhere else. Best Buy would have been better and where we will go next time. Not here. read more

I went in to buy wifi. They told me I couldn't have it installed the same day, but they would have it shipped to me in 3 days. I waited the three days and would have waited a fourth, but I checked my email and saw that they hadn't shipped it until that third day and it wouldn't arrive until 6 days after I bought it. So the day it arrives, today, I take it to the store to return it. They tell me they don't accept returns and that I will have to give it to UPS. This location is awful. They'll lie to your face with a smile and they don't even carry any inventory. This store is useless in every way that matters read more

In February of 2023 I bought 2 phones/added lines for my kids and removed my mom from my plan. I went in planning on changing my mom's line's number so one kid could use it, then adding one additional line. The sales rep added two lines and said I could call AT&T to cancel the other line. When I tried to cancel the line a week later, I was told that I can't cancel the line I already had or I would not get the discount on the phones that I bought my kids ($1/mo). I had to pay for the additional line for three months before I could cancel and keep the rate. Fast forward to this Christmas, I added another line to my account for another one of my kids. It was Christmas, and I knew I wanted to get my husband an iWatch, so I asked about them. The manager said yes we have a deal, buy one get one free. I asked if I could pay in installments through my plan and they said yes, no problem. I got my bill today and the watches were there with a service plan attached to both, as well as a "home appliance insurance" service that I knew nothing about. I didn't need service for the watches, but When I called AT&T to cancel, I was not able to cancel the watch lines or I'd have to pay for the watches full retail... $600! What they had said was not true, and it was costing me $100 more per month than we'd discussed in store. Long story short, the rep and manager didn't fully disclose information and also added services that I never asked for. Luckily ATT customer service was able to lower my bill in other ways to make up for the charges I was incurring because of the rep and manager's dishonesty and laziness. read more

We signed up for FirstNet 4-5 months ago. Our accounts have been messed up from the first day despite multiple visits and phone calls. We finally gave up. My wife still cannot log into her online account. To top it off when we bought our phones and screen protectors we were told that we could come back anytime if the screen protector is cracked and get a free replacement. We came in yesterday and were told that there was no record of that order and they would not honor it. read more

You know I thought about writing a review about the horrible, horrible servicei received from the ATT store on 20th. Their employees, Jose Ayala and Manager Roger are the worst. There is no accountability, no follow through and will do and say anything for a sale. The service we received was a complete joke. If you have to deal with ATT I strongly suggest that you go to the store on Mangrove. They were quite helpful. Charger port on my phone broke so I went here to see what my options are. Walk up to the store and this lady hands me a flier about their poor business practices, I'm like, ya I know, they're a bunch of dicks, thanks for getting the word out. I walk in and the attendant asked how he could help as usual, "my phone won't change..." "o we don't work on phones here." Me: "Ok well can you help tell me how to fix it?" Again, "we don't do that kinda thing here" "Ok well can you tell me if I'm eligible for an upgrade? " They say no, I leave in anger, go to another store and they're like, let's use your upgrade. Moral of the story is they're a bunch of idiot's who don't know the difference between a your due upgrade and how to score on their wife of 5 years. Bunch of morons. I never signed up for internet service or authorized my permission to start up service and after refusing service multiple times to the manager at at&t and I still received a box that I returned the next day and since then I'm received two bills and customer service has done nothing but give me the run around. It's been a nightmare. After I'm done dealing with all of this, I'll be moving my cell phone service elsewhere. read more

Went in to ask for help with my ATT home internet and landline (the bill). They told me they only deal with cell phones and cell phone bills. So I called Customer service and it got disconnected. Called back and operator said I could be reimbursed for installation fees since my home burned in the Campfire, but the tech in Tulsa said he saw no provision for that. The day they came and installed internet and activated landline, told me bill would be about 179.00. Bill in reality is 227.00 plus tax and fees for internet, landline and wifi. Plus, I have never been able to get the internet on my desktop for a month, just laptop. Tech support said call Microsoft. "ATT. We don't care, we don't have to." read more

If I could leave a no star I would. My husband and I went in to purchase a new phone and transfer our old phone to the new phone that was being purchased. The boy who helped us, last name Salavador, did not help us transfer anything. He got the new phone, rang it up, swiped our card and told us to go home and put the phones next to each other and they'll do it themselves. That may be, but last time we transferred data that way, we ran into a problem and needed help and ended up back in the store. If it's that easy, why couldn't he start the process there, just incase something did happen. As he was ringing us up, as fast as he did, he answered a personal phone call and was chatting with a friend of his. I was fortunate to stop into this store yesterday. As I entered the store I was greeted in a very professional manner. I hadn't made an appointment in advance and figured I'd be waiting for a very long time. Not so! In less than 30 minutes I had the pleasure of having Steve Anders as my Sales Consultant. Recently, I decided to add my mom to my phone plan from her Sprint plan. She was going to meet me at the ATT store, and got there before me. When I walk in, I see the representative telling her that her iPhone6 is not cross-carrier compatible and she'll have to contract a new phone with them. I hear him saying that just as I arrive and I push back, "it's an iPhone6, surely you're not telling me we can't move this one over to ATT." At that point he admits "it miiiiight be possible, but probably not." Then continues to talk about new phones. Once we've made it clear we won't be purchasing a new phone, he begins to port her number over and set up the phone. The phone does have an activation lock from Sprint, but simply says to call them and they will release the device. The guy reads it and again starts writing down new phone prices for my mom. I call Sprint to have them release it, and after a bit of technical trouble from them the phone was freed up and activated on the ATT network. While I was in the store trying to complete the transaction, music was playing so loudly I couldn't hear what people were saying (not a speaker demo, a representative was playing to a speaker from their phone). Incredibly unprofessional from so many sides, I cannot recommend this store. read more

These are the same people who have been calling everyday to get me to switch over to their service. We get bad coverage here in Chico anyways so why not switch to Verizon. It's Sunday and the greeter said there were six people in the queue ahead of me. He estimated the wait would last about half an hour. Despite free wifi being listed on AT&T's site, it wasn't running here and a floor agent said it hadn't been for a while. While waiting, an AT&T floor agent next to me drilled this timid old man for about twenty minutes. It was a repetitive pitch for Direct TV. The customer repeatedly said he just came for help with his phone and wanted to get back to that, but the salesman showed no signs of letting up until I butted in on the old man's behalf. I said this was disrespectful to the customer and to the people in line alike. The salesman relented and helped the old man find the folder where he'd dragged the "Phone" icon on his iPhone. That was literally the only thing the old man needed. My own salesman was quick and to the point. I explained that I was there to add an iPad to my existing shared data plan with no contract or extra data added today. He helped with that and we were done inside of 15 minutes, even though he was simultaneously training a new hire. The lesson here may be to know exactly what you want before you come into this store. read more

I believe in second chances. I've been a customer, well, since birth really. I took a few years off to ride the Nextel train but came back to AT&T. A relationship that long will have highs and lows. My experience with the Chico store and that manager was a low. The same store went above and beyond - once prodded a bit by corporate - to ensure I had a phone that worked with my new hearing aids. I traded the S4 from the last review for a Note 4 only days before getting the hearing aids and, despite the assurances of the seller, discovering that they were only partially supported by Android. AT&T let me swap out my Note for an iPhone 6 Plus, which fully supported the hearing aids. They didn't need to do that but they did and were very helpful all through the process. I can't thank them enough for that. Does it erase all the wrongs? No, but it balances them out. If you do business with a company for long enough, it's that balance that counts the most. Do NOT go to this store if you want any help. I needed to transfer billing on two lines and got different instructions three different times. This was after verbally confirming (twice) what I needed to do on the first interaction. Then was told I had to do it via a website, which didn't work, and then was told I needed to call 611 but it was closed because it was Sunday. Called 611 and lo and behold the department I needed was OPEN. Was able to make the changes and just hope I get what I need. Will never go to this location again. read more

So, I purchased an iPhone 12 max pro Monday night. I was so excited! I waited a week and a half to get the phone. No problem. With the holidays and COVID, I completely understood. I didn't think to make a call and test it out because I had work in the early morning and why should I think anything is wrong with it. It's Brand New! Well, I get to work the next day and I use my phone for work, too. To my dismay, frustration, and Surprise, my phone doesn't work. It's Defective! No one can hear me on my phone. Imagine my day at work without a phone. It was horrific to say the least... I take the phone back and they test it themself and confirm that the phone is defective. I request another phone and they did get a bunch of them in stock the same day I picked up my phone. Anyway, they tell me they want to charge me a restock fee of $55 to give me a phone that works and the color I chose is not guaranteed. They already charged me $1099 or $1109 for the phone and now want to charge me an additional fee for a replacement phone and not give me the color I requested. I refused to pay $55 more for another phone. They said I would have to call Apple. Apple said I would have to wait the 14 day period before they could replace my phone, so now I have no new phone. I'm still being charged for new phone and account. Thank goodness I kept my old iPhone 7+ or I wouldn't even have a phone. On top of all of that, when they go to check out my new phone, it is discovered that I did not even have a 5g SIM card in the phone to begin with. Why aren't these phones checked out before giving out to customers? Where is the honor, respect, and consideration for accommodating customers when they are paying epic money for new iPhones that don't even work. If I didn't need a phone, I would have cancelled my service, but I have had experience with all these wireless phone companies and they are corrupt to say the least. All they care about is the money, not pleasing the customer. AT&T is suppose to be one of the best companies around. I would not have even given them 1 star, because they completely disappointed me. They have offered me No credit for their mistake, no gifts to compensate me for all the trouble I am going through, No nothing... who knows how long it will be before I get a iPhone for money that I am paying for the new iPhone. Upon entering the door, you will be greeted by one of several greeters that are holding iPads ready to check you in. Once checked in with your first and last initial, your name appears on a tv screen in a queue. We went today at 11:00 am, and were third in the queue. The atmosphere was calm, quiet. It was organized and not chaotic, which I'm sure is their whole goal with the iPad check-in system. We were out in 45 minutes (added a line to my dad's account). We left pleased that we had accomplished what we set out to do. read more

For the past year AT&T has made our lives miserable! It has been so very stressful because AT&T has added incorrect fees to our bills multiple times and turned off our phones and strong-armed us into paying nearly $300 to get our phones turned back on and even now after all of this refuses to release us from the contract AT&T has voided by their own actions and is now forcing us to pay ETF fees totaling $608. In the last year AT&T has made us fight for 2 months calling every day and being treated like dirt and put us on hold so much that each call took us 3 hours to take off the incorrect charges $100 at a time. One charge in particular made absolutely no sense - a $300 deposit fee for the tablet we purchased appearing on our bill 2 months after we purchased it. When I called up AT&T they would not admit they made an error and instead kept saying I had to pay the deposit fee or else! So I went back into the store to discuss it with Steve Anders, the salesman who sold us the phones from the Chico AT&T Corporate store. He told me there was no way that a deposit could be applied to the device after the fact. He said if a deposit had been required then it would have been due in full when we purchased it. He even said that their checkout system would not have even allowed him to sell us the tablet without paying the deposit so therefore no deposit was required. Finally someone willing to admit AT&T made an error but unfortunately he himself couldn't do anything to change it. He told me I had to call them back and keep fighting it. We have been good and loyal customers. First we signed up for Uverse, then we bought Go phones, then we bought expensive phones and a tablet and signed on for a 2 year contract but AT&T doesn't care about loyalty in fact I'm pretty certain they make billing errors intentionally so they can in essence steal money from their customers without them realizing it. The odds are in their favor - how many customers would recognize errors in their bills and even the ones who do who try to fight it probably end up going through a similar experience of being told by AT&T representatives "You are wrong. You must pay." All we have ever wanted is to be treated fairly but AT&T does not care they just keep mistreating us. The only bright light has been Steve Anders! He has tried to help us by cancelling our contract and signing us up for an affordable pre-pay phone package. Unfortunately the ETF fees still apply and so yesterday I had to go to my bank to withdraw all my funds because in the past AT&T has tried to overcharge us by $600 and withdraw it automatically and then we don't have any money to pay the rest of our bills. This whole experience has been a dreadful nightmare. Now I have to try and submit my claim to arbitration and pray to God that the arbitrator will see that I've always paid my bills on time and in full and that I'm not a problem client and in fact AT&T is the one who has been jerking me around knowing they can because of the contract. I had heard horror stories about people signing phone contracts which is why I had a Go phone without a contract. The only reason I signed up for a contract was because Steve offered us a great deal. If the arbitrator sides with AT&T then I'll be forced to pay an additional $200 arbitration fee on top of the $600 ETF. Please pray for me! And do think twice before signing up for a contract with AT&T. The new package Steve Anders sold us yesterday is called "Pre-paid" and if you already own phones then you only pay $30 a month per phone for unlimited calls and unlimited text. This is what we wanted all along - a low consistent monthly bill but sadly for us this package was only introduced 6 weeks ago. If you don't use data like us then it's definitely the way to steer clear of the headache AT&T will put you through by signing a 2 year contract with them. Good luck and beware! read more

I broke my phone the day I was going out of the country- she helped me get a new phone- and since I temporarily did not have wifi at my house- she made sure my phone with all its apps were set up. AT&T has installed apps onto their phones that run endlessly in the background killing your battery. They have locked their phones completely so you can't uninstall the apps you don't need favoring the battery. They take the mobile out of mobile. read more
