Several months ago I called to cancel a phone that was not being used. The customer service person told me it would pay to wait until June 24 when I could cancel for no fee. So I continued to pay the monthly bill for a phone not in use. When the date arrived when I was told I could cancel, they now say they have norrecord of the conversation and that the date is really in Dec. Now to cancel, I must pay 175 dollars! I am so pissed off I can barely speak. Are their service representatives not trained to keep notes, made aware of how the system works, inconsistent on every call? Why was I given such blatantly wrong information! Verizon sucks. read more

I went to the Verizon store in the Corte Madera Town Center w/ much trepidation..My LG Verizon phone had "exploded' the night before w/ endless texts telling me that I was exceeding my data plan. By the time I arrived at the official Verizon store the next day, my phone had incurred a $350. overage! Loooong story short, there was an internal malfunction in the phone. it had been infected w/ evil Malware that was hijacking my phone & spewing endless data. Nightmare! My helper was Ashley. She very patiently assisted me, made several phone calls attempting to troubleshoot the problem, and even filled out the paperwork to get me a new phone and exchange the damaged one. So Ashley gets 4 stars!However, the jury is still out w/ Corporate Verizon. They have yet to agree to refund me the $350.overage, which ended up being $120., after getting me to UP my plan (which i only needed because the ph. was going crazy) That was $150. extra. Then the nice manager gave me a $30. refund for pain & suffering. So I am still out an extra $120. because of a defective product. Hopefully corporate Verizon will make it right. but if you have to go to the dread store, ask for the smart redheaded Ashley. She rocks. read more

While it was the day after XMAS, I expected the long wait and brought a book. It is what it is at most all Verizon stores unless you plan your arrival. The wait was worth it because I lucked out getting Analyssa as my sales rep. She is extremely nice, helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Anyone going into the store ask first if she is working, bring a book and request her to help you!! This woman should be "cloned" for all Verizon stores. read more

This Verizon store is literally the worst one I have ever been to. I have had some bad customer service before but this takes the prize. Not only are the reps. counting down the minutes to their lunch breaks, even if they're in the middle of supposedly helping you. They are careless in the way they speak to you and in the way they listen to the customers issue or question. I was blown away by the lack of pride they took in taking care of their customers and the lack of management skills to implement skills and training to their workers so they would care about their job and their customers. I wasn't seeking for perfection, but I do expect a level of professionalism when you're a paying customer and are seeking help from the company that you're paying. I have been there several times, for both issues, and to upgrade phones. We have been helped several times by the same man, who is fantastic. He is very nice, and he even replaced my phone when the little water sticker had turned pink. But the last time that I went there, I was helped by a complete ass. I know a lot about phones, and mine was having issues that many other people had complained about on the internet. He spoke to me very condesendingly, and when I explained my problems and that I had tried all his suggestions, he told me to come back another time, becausei he wasn't sure if he had extra batteries for my phone. When I asked if I could have one shipped to my house, he simply said no. When I asked if there was a way I could get a new phone, since I have had this issue with two replacement phones that I had gotten in the past, of the same make. When I explained this to the guy, and showed him that the water tab hadn't activated, he still refused. I will definitely try to avoid him if I ever have to go back there. read more

I hesitated to go to this store because of the poor reviews. But as an out-of-towner I was out of luck with a Verizon Incredible Droid that wasn't handling phone calls. I went in and had quick service (mid=day) and help. It turned out to be an easy problem (turn it off and turn it on again) but they also helped me re-set my Google account that had been disabled. That took a bit longer. I give 4 stars only because it was a simple problem and didn't involve new service or equipment, which is more challenging to explain well. Barbara T read more

Without a doubt the best customer service that I have received from Verizon for the past 15 years as a customer. Nate Guido was the sales representative who helped me and he was fantastic. He not only was very knowledgabe about my phone, but was very patient and helpful. He corrected the problem that another Verizon service center said could not be fixed. Talk about arrogant! Yes I am part of the problem as the old saying goes, poop on me once shame on you, do it again, shame on me. I've been a Verizon customer for 12 years and every 2 years at the dreaded upgrade encounter they are arrogant, rude and dismissive,(they openly laugh at anybody over the age of 45) and all employees say their hands are tied when it comes to troubleshooting any real issue. Seem to not care half an inch about return service. To top it off, they notified me they were cancelling my employee discount and he said he couldn't help me, despite me coming in person and presenting my proof of employment. He laughed out loud when I asked if I could renew my plan 30 days ahead of schedule. If I acted with such disdain for a customer, I would lose my job. What kind of outfit allows for rude service and such apathy? C'mon Verizon, you can afford some decent training sessions on customer service with emphasis on returning customer satisfaction. Unfortunately it's a bit of a monopoly and I don't know if AT&T is any better. But I am shopping for another carrier TODAY! Idiots. read more

I have been Verizon Wireless customer for many years till recently I decided to upgrade our smart phones and renew my contract at Verizon Corporate Store at Town Center Plaza in Corte Madera, California. As they didn't have the phones we wanted in stock, they ordered the phones to be shipped to the same store. Few hours after when I was looking for the phone reviews, I found a much better deal at Costco for same phones. I called and asked for cancellation of my order and the sales person told I should wait till they receive the shipment and return it which will take about a week then I can go ahead and place my order. According to the USPS tracking system, the shipment was delivered in two days and 8 days after when I went to Costco to get new phones, figured it out that the shipment had not been returned yet. After talking to Verizon customer service over the phone, I was told it's better if I contact the store and follow it up with them. It was a bad experience to talk to the sales person or store manager however I left my contact number for them to call me back, never received a call and had to go to the store while the manager was not there and a rep told it's not shipped and they should check to see what's going on and they will contact me the day after which didn't happen. When I called I finally talked to the same sales person, he told me it was shipped three days ago and when I asked for tracking number, he emailed me a tracking number which was not exist. When I went back to the store, the store manager who knew about the case by that time was very rude and aggressive and told me you should have problem when you go somewhere else to buy your phones!!!!! and the tracking number he gave me was different from what I had received and showed they had shipped it just couple hours ago!!! To be honest, they don't even deserve 1 star but there is no option on Yelp to put nothing for them. read more

After reading the negative reviews of this store, I couldn't agree more. I called the Verizon help line to find out how to get my iphone "global ready," and was told that I needed to check in at the store. I was in the Town Center shopping plaza, so I thought I'd just go in person to see if they could help me get a SIM card. I told the "greeter" what I needed and she put me in the queue and told me to "check out the store and play with whatever I wanted," while I waited. I sat down (for 35 minutes) and waited for a sales associate. I was then "introduced" to the sales assoc. who immediately told me to go to an Apple store to get the help I needed. Really? Thirty-five minutes to have a question answered that the "greeter" could have initially dealt with? It looks like this store has an agenda beyond helping the customer. To follow up: I was helped IMMENSELY that very same day by the Verizon sales associates at the tiny Lombard St. store in San Francisco that were courteous, helpful and just all-around awesome! I'll be taking my business there from now on. read more
