I used to be able to justify paying the 'premium' prices Verizon charges, thinking to myself I get great customer service at their company stores, they really take the time and look out for my best interest. No more. Last year I purchased an iPhone 11. They took great care transferring everything from the old phone to my new one, not trying to pile on with unneeded accessories and junk services. Today we went to get an iPhone 12, and transfer the iPhone 11 to one of our other numbers. What a fricking disaster. 1) had to stand outside on the curb, 6' apart waiting to go in the store (less than 6 customers inside at one time) 2) only one of us allowed in the store, so,one of us had to wait in the car like a disciplined child 3) the clerk, he was not a salesman, tried to load up on every possible accessory and service, would not enable the new phone, would not assist with making sure things worked in the store, instead saying "we don't do that in the stores, if you don't want the phone others do, hurry up and make up your mind" Don't go to this store thinking you will get any kind of customer service, you won't. read more

During COVID every business has the opportunity to find a new way to still service their customers. Verizon has not met that standard. As a business owner myself, and holding a large business account with Verizon, I will find a new service provider to support our teams. Take some lessons from apples launch day, and learn how to conduct business during these times. Stop making excuses. On 11/13/2020 one of largest days for wireless providers they chose not to allow customers in their stores, nor help install accessories or SIM cards. Terrible! Remy was rude to me and RUDe to the Verizon person on the phone as well. They don't care to help at all. Most of the workers were hiding in the back of the store. If I had a question I had to go to back of the store and knock on a locked door. If you like Verizon service just call direct to telesales. These people in Cumming literally do not care about YOU. I was really disappointed in this experience here, as was my boyfriend. We came here to get new phones. We both have the iphone 7plus, yes that is not a typo. For our anniversary my boyfriend was going to get us both an upgrade. First of all, you need an appointment to go in, and so we had to stand outside, and we weren't allowed in the store. Okay, fine. They said we had to place our order online to get the phones, and my boyfriend called earlier to see if they were in stock, so why didn't that person tell him that over the phone? So we go to the car, and sit and place the order, and then we waited for them to bring it outside. The one employee told us they won't transfer the info from one phone to another, and that we have to purchase the full amount of icloud storage we need to get it transferred to our phones. He doesn't have any, and I'm long maxed my $0.99 a month storage, but refuse to give Apple more of my money. So, that seemed confusing and annoying at best. Then the guy who hands up the phones tells us no, you just gotta set up the phones and have them side by side and they will transfer all the data. Last night my bae tried that, and it didn't work. He was manually transferring stuff. So I called Verizon today, and now I'm being told I have to download an app to my new phone and the old one, and that's how you can get all the data to come over to the new phone, but still no word on why the transfer didn't take place, so I'm going to have to call back later today and let me forewarn you Verizon's live phone service is way backed up. So, I don't know who to believe, and who's right, and still our phones are set up right. Disappointed in the service, the conflicting information, and the fact they won't do the transfer for us, and the lack of additional information that should have been given over the phone before we got there. And my bf wanted to pay for the phones in full but they are telling us we gotta wait 1-2 billing cycles to do that. Why? And what's the $200 plus paid on the spot for? Nothing was explained or clear. Also, I get shortening your hours, but why not 1-8, rather than 10-5? People work! We hustled to get over here, and it was a rather unsatisfactory experience to say the least. read more

Went to this store to add another line, buy another iPhone and upgrade all 4 phones to unlimited. Was told that either my wife or I was allowed into the store not both of us. I looked in the window there were NO other customers inside. There were 5-6 employees and a security guard. All of them were sitting close together hanging out doing nothing. I understand if they were slammed and trying to keep numbers down, but that wasn't the case. So I as a paying customer, cannot wear a mask and enter with my wife, but employees don't have to social distance or follow their own rules? Not to mention the guy who came out to help was a jerk, I guess I was taking away from his socializing with the other non working employees. We left of course. Completely unnattentive for anything other than what makes commission. Given a phone and put on hold to talk to customer support for 30 minutes in the store. Stayed there for over two hours just to be told id need to buy a new phone. A 2 minute conversation stretched to a 2 hour waste of time and effort. Go somewhere else. read more

I have been a Verizon customer close to 20 years and it is very frustrating to witness first hand just how a customer goes from being appreciated to just becoming another number in their system. Verizon is certainly not the least expensive cell service on the block, but apparently because of their size they could careless if their customers are less than satisfied. I have 4 cell phones and 5 tablets on their service and I have now been waiting 2 week to get one of my phones back up and in service. I had a Moto z Force Droid stop working and the first replacement took nearly 2 weeks to arrive and when I finally received the recertified phone it would work. The second replacement took 5 days to arrive. I haven't seen the replacement tablet they were sending yet. If not for one sales person working at this store, Verizon could go to hell. Then to top it off, I have received 2 solicitated phone calls from them offering me an update on several of my lines.( Are they crazy as hell, they obviously are, I wouldn't considering you in my contract for this type of service). read more

Let me start by saying I have been to this store at least 4 times and 3 out of the 4 times have been very pleasant and efficient. I'm sorry to say that I am here to talk about the fourth time. My wife and I were trading in her old Apple Watch for a new one. we had already ordered it online and received it in the mail and had selected to drop the trade in at the store. When we arrived to drop it off there was no one in the waiting area or any extra employees so we stood by the front door for about 5-10 minutes before an employee finally acknowledged our existence and told us we could take a seat in the waiting area. We then sat there for another 5-10 minutes whilst 2 other customers came in and the employee then decided to go check them in completely skipping us even after one of the customers told him we were there first to which he simply did not care. At this point we had had enough after 20 minutes we had waited long enough and promptly left still having not been checked in. read more

I received my "paid" receipt yesterday in my email. The amount was correct but said it was paid from a credit card. This particular card I do not even have. I pay on line and there was no mention of that but I checked the bank and found the bill was paid. I have tried calling customer service and got the machine, called the store and was told to call the machine again and did. After 20 minutes, I gave up. Its a shame because I'm afraid someone's credit card was charged my bill and there is a person in Verizon who made some extra cash. This is really frustrating because it might happen to more people. My husband and I were looking to upgrade our current iPhones and walked into the Marketplace Blvd location. Genesis was the store associate who assisted us. She was very friendly and patient giving us all the information we needed to trade in our current iPhones for a rebate. When I got home I was having trouble setting up the new iPhone. I went back to the store with my laptop as well because my data backup was on there. Genesis sat down with me and guided me through the whole process and I was able to set up my new iPhone. It was so nice to be able to get help in person instead of having to try to figure things out online or over the phone. Would highly recommend this location. read more

Mr. McIver was very knowledgeable about the products and service plan options. He upgraded my phone and my service plan is now cheaper than my old plan. All this was done in exactly 37 minutes. Back in 2011 I had a Verizon cell phone for three days.On the third day I returned the phone and paid them a restocking fee of $35. Also paid the bill for one month, $40. They charged me $110 cause they alleged that I used more minutes in those three days that I should for only three days usage. I told them that regardless if I use my minutes spread over 30 days or 3 it should make no difference. Still they sent me to collections and to this days it shows on my credit report! Purchased the iPhone 6S last week, the phone has been blacking out when opening an app. I work for an airline and am gone 6/7days/week. The blacking out happened for 3days straight. Of course when I get to Verizon, it doesn't do it. I spoke to Roger, who found it quite comical. He literally took my phone held it for 30seconds and said, I don't see anything wrong. Umm, okay. Well, I'm telling you something is wrong with it, can you look a little deeper into it. His response, oh I can't do that. So I asked if I should just take it to Apple when I have problems, he gives me this look of confusion and says, "I mean you can do that if you want." Wow, great customer service Roger. Also I was talked into buying the glass protectant screen when I purchased the phone. It's already cracking around the edges, I asked him about it, and he said oh that's what it's supposed to do. Once again, what? The screen protector is supposed to crack with glass shards on my face? Makes sense. As I was leaving I see him pointing and laughing at me to another coworker. Hey Roger, that's extremely unprofessional and I will be in contact with your supervisor. Verizon already sucks to the their pre-existing customers, and this just puts the cherry on top of the cake. read more
