BEST BUY UNDER REMODELING.. First time at this Davie Best Buy mega store. Walked to the rear of the store where they had most of the giant floor speakers and supplemental TV speakers. Some of the Best Buy locations have clearances on some of these items so you just gotta check in every week. This store had the strangest items that I have ever observed in a Best Buy. In the back right corner was a giant green lawnmower and about ten big boxes containing lawn equipment. Did Best Buy merge with Home Depot or Lowes? Maybe due to all the recent hurricanes. Loved the electric bicycles and scooters at $999 and up. Very cool but too pricey for me. The new Apple watches were on display with a variety of bands. The employee assisted me in this section. The wife has been wanting an upgrade. This store is well staffed unlike a few other locations. Cant wait to see this store after the remodel. read more

Usually I try to find something good about bad things but we have been to two different locations Plantation and Davie Best Buy's and they have adopted the apple appointment method but they are not good at it. Showing up knowing what you want shouldn't take a half hour, when the store is empty. Even the manager could not just hand us the laptop so we could pay and leave. To Whom It May Concern, I'm writing to report an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience I had during a recent visit to Best Buy. We came to shop for Pokémon cards, and when we reached the register, the cashier -- who was clearly a reseller herself -- asked me how much the cards were reselling for. I explained that I don't resell; I collect and rip my cards. There were three of us shopping together, including my cousin, who is legally blind and requires assistance. Despite each of us selecting our own item, the cashier attempted to deny our purchases, trying to reserve the products for her friends waiting in line behind us. This was completely unacceptable, especially after we had stood in line all night to secure our items fairly. On top of that, she was extremely disrespectful -- putting in her AirPods during checkout and loudly saying she was going to "talk about us." The attitude, favoritism, and lack of professionalism she showed was unbelievable and unacceptable for a store we have supported for years across three different households. I recently rushed in here during my lunch break to purchase a new wireless mouse. I wish I would have had more time to browse since the store is large and looked so appealing to shop in. When I walked in, there was a cluster of blue shirts talking in the front. With no time to waste, I approached them and asked for assistance. They pointed me to the area. Once there, too many choices were about to frazzle me, as I needed to make an informed decision with limited time and money. Despite popular belief, that pretty much holds true for the majority of consumers when they go shopping, but associates tend to forget or don't care. I went back to the blue cluster. One of them told me to look for the clerk with the black shirt. Fortunately for me, Stravos was available!! He is a highly intelligent, personable, and calm young man. He is the man in this store as far as I'm concerned. My husband and I went here because are bedroom TV stopped working. There was plenty of parking in the Tower Shops. We entered the store where there was hand sanitizer for your use and all employees and guests were wearing masks. We went straight back to the TV section and someone came over and helped us rather quickly probably less than a minute. He was nice and happy to be there. He helped us pick out a TV and had it brought to the front of the store for us. My husband and I walked around a few more minutes noticed the store was clean, well stocked and smelled clean. Wow - AMAZING service from the Best Buy (Tower Shops Plaza) personnel this past Sunday. My husband popped over to the store to check out the prices of Apple watches, as my two year old Apple Watch 7 was having issues. It had a cracked screen and I could tell some water was underneath the screen making it difficult to see the watch face. Lucky for us, Alex approached my husband and asked if he could assist. Hubs told him the sad tale of my beat up watch and Alex asked if I had AppleCare insurance. Hubs didn't know but Alex talked him through how to figure that out, and what some of my alternatives night be in replacing the watch was or whether I would have to purchase a new one, and what the best model might be for my needs. Hubs came home and we found out that I DID have AppleCare which meant that I could have a free replacement of my watch!! We headed back to Best Buy and Alex came to us with a huge smile to help us once again. Upon careful examination of my watch, we discovered that it was the watch bumper cover that was cracked and the watch crystal below was in perfect shape! Off it came and Alex selected the correct bumper cover/screen for my watch, and suggested that the Geeks could install it for me. A quick trip to the cashier then over to the Geeks desk and I had a beautiful, fully functional watch again, and learned a few things about my coverage and some watch functions too. Thanks Alex!! I cannot remember if I have been here in the past but if I have, it was years ago. I ordered a pair of Bose headphones online and wanted them the same day. I had a bunch of gift cards and I also use Ibotta so that is why I ordered online. I ordered the headphones around noon and I received an email that they were ready around an hour or two later. The email also provided clear instructions regarding how to pick up my item. I walked in and found the desk I had to go to pick up my headphones. I was greeted immediately by a staff member and told her I was there to pick up an item I purchased from their site. The transaction would have been a lot quicker but another employee kept interrupting the employee that was helping me out. My transaction would have been 2 minutes maximum if she was not interrupted but it was more like 10. The staff member I dealt with was professional and didn't skip a beat. I signed and walked towards the door. There was some pseudo security at the door asking for my receipt. I know it is protocol but the counter where I picked up my headphones were 2 feet from the door and I did not wonder around. There also was barely anyone in the store. I made some sarcastic comment like, do people steal shopping bags? He responded with, you would be surprised. He highlighted my one item on my receipt and let me leave. There are reasons people shop on the internet and never enter a store. You can find these reasons by visiting this BestBuy. For example, its the middle of a day on a weekeday, the perfect time to shop for a microwave. When you go to BestBuy you will see a lot of microwaves. In fact, they had one that looked ok but it didn't have a price on the sticker in front of the microwave, and it wasn't clear if they even had it in stock. Normally, this would take all of 5 seconds to resolve if the store was functioning properly as a store should function. But at BestBuy, to learn 1. the price and 2. if the item is in stock requires a 10 minute wait in the middle of the day when there are all of about 10 customers in the store. Not a 10 minute wait because I waited, no, the unfriendly salesperson makes you sign up for a list. Like you do at a deli counter when buying cold cuts. There is no excuse for this type of retail in 2025. If I need to sign up for a waitlist to wait 10 minutes for a price, then by 2030 or so BestBuy will eventually go the way of the other retail DoDos like Circuit City and Bed Bath and Beyond. read more

I have put this review off long enough, but after coming here again, and I always shop at THIS Best Buy, I needed to finally share my experience here. Through the years most of us have been to Best Buy stores for one reason or another. I found this location closer and more convenient to my home and so glad I did. This store does not seem so big and confusing to find what you need, always seems to have IN STOCK what I am looking for and there is always friendly people to help you and MOST OF ALL, there is REGGIE. He is the biggest reason I think I love this Best Buy most of all. Every time I shop here, he seems to be the one to help, and I am talking months or even a year since my last big electronic purchase, which Reggie specializes in. He is all smiles and remembers me and what he sold me. He is not afraid to show me something different that may suit my needs better and NOT because of price, but because he seems to understands what I am trying to do. He takes his time, answers all my questions and I always leave knowing I purchased the right merchandise. The first 2 visits with him were for big screen TV's which he steered me to the same features on the TV's that are displayed in the isle that are on sale, saving me hundreds of dollars. He helped me pick out sound bars and took the time to explain how they work with WiFi. Today, I called the store to check to see if a PC I wanted was in stock after doing some research. I went to the Best Buy sight and found the exact SKU in stock. I called anyways and they assured me that if I stop in, I will not have a problem getting it. I went right to the service department and lo and behold, they called up Reggie to go pick up the PC, bring it to me at the Service Counter and yes, he remembered me. We had a few laughs and I was out in 20 minutes. This Best Buy is clean, organized and a very pleasant experience. I must give a shout out to definitely ask for Reggie. Can't go wrong!!! I never had to wait long for help here as I have in some of the other Best Buy stores in the area, as we all know can waste a lot of time and get on your nerves. As I am typing this review, I see Yelp's automatic statement "Meh. I've experience better" is correct. Why? Well I went into Best Buy for a washer and dryer. The reason I went to Best Buy over Home Depot/Lowe's is because the washer and dryers are getting "smarter" and the Best Buy staff should be more "techie". Well the experience I had was annoying. As I was shopping at the washer and dryer section, an AT&T rep walked up to me to try to sell me service. After telling him I already have AT&T he was persistent in selling me the service. After about 15 minutes of gathering my information and my declining the service he walked away. Mind you, I was in the washer/dryer section, not the computer or TV section, so why sell me service when I the items I am shopping for are not related at all? Is faster internet going to fold my clothes? Do I get to watch my clothes being washed in 4K? Besides the annoyance of the sales pitch and 15 minutes has passed, not one Best Buy employee came up to me to educate/inform/sell me the washer and dryer. It appeared the were more concerned about helping AT&T get a sale vs actually selling a product to me. So, I went next door to Home Depot. I came here to look at the new Google pixelbook. I wanted to see what it was all about and try out the device. I also wanted to look at the Slate. Well, it seems like Best Buy decided to put the two devices on display and then take them away. Who knows why? They had a nice display setup but only wires hanging down. How are people supposed to know if they like the device if it's not there to try out? Aha but then I did come across the pixelbook not where it was supposed to be. It was jumbled in with other Google products. I asked two different associates for guidance and wanting answers to my questions. Nobody had time for me. One associate from Apple said he did not work in that department which was understandable. I asked why do you think they took away the display and he had no idea. They were too busy helping other customers. I said forget it and just left. Nobody cared that I waited 15 minutes or so. No apologies for the wait or offers to help me shortly. I told myself the last time I bought a defected product (iPhone) that I would never let them touch my devices again. Well, wouldn't you know, I damaged my old computer and I needed a new one ASAP. So I bought a new Mac Pro. Less than 30 days later I got an email from Apple telling me I had a defected computer. So, I go back to Best Buy to exchange and upgrade. No problem except, I didn't trust the cloud and I thought no big deal, I am on the cloud it took me three minutes when I bought the Mac Pro. Well, 100 dollars and 3 hours later no computer. The moment I get home I am calling Apple to download everything from the cloud. They screwed me again and I blame myself for that. NEVER AGAIN. Okay, after 4 hours of trying, they erased the old computer so I wasted my whole day. I told them I had the cloud and had done a hard copy backup before exchanging my computer. I was ignored. All I wanted was to be sure all my data was erased from the 30 day old defective computer. OMG! I just got a message saying my computer was ready. Don't waste your time with the geek squad at this location. Not only are they incompetent but they lack basic customer service skills. I'm a loyal Best Buy customer and will stick to the Pembroke Pines location. I cannot speak for the rest of the store, but the geek squad is AWFUL!!! read more

Worst Best Buy experience ever. They said they had my order when they didn't. Never coming back

Do not order in store pick up. Also do not come to the store if you need someone to help you. I ran into a gentleman in the computer section that was also at the Best Buy on federal hwy I was at earlier and had the same experience as me. He helped me and that's so sad because I had to ask the cashier to please send someone to help him. Meanwhile 4 young men in employee uniforms are creating a social circle. These employees didn't look a day over 21. I felt so bad that I was not the only one going through a nightmare. Aileen yells to one of the guys and of course none listened because she's a female I'll assume. So I found my item because after two hours online pickup tracking has not moved. I watched the supervisor track down our item after I tracked down the same item myself ready to pay another fee. Then wait 7 days for a refund on the one I paid for already. The supervisors face when she tracked the item on the radio says it all. Then a gentleman comes down the aisle with a cart 5 minutes later in slow motion with 4 items on his cart to drop at the pick up order station. He was kind of lost and not being attentive. He must have head headphones in as he was tuned out. If he would have been alert maybe we would not have had another bad experience where I will never step foot in another Best Buy store again. I came here looking at 55 inch televisions and they have plenty in stock at fairly reasonable prices with the latest technology. This location has an adequately large floor sales force eager to help. Love the displays! Its nice to get touchy feely at brick and mortar stores right??? read more
