First I would like to say that I was not looking forward to going to this store as I too had a bad experience in the past there. However, my phone had started to initialize after a fall and did not complete reloading. I arrived at the store and saw two employees helping other customers. From out of the back came Trevor to help out my wife and I. She had an issue with an app trying to gain control of her phone and mine was a brick. Trevor started working both phones at once, clearing my wife's phone in under 3 minutes. Mine took longer, but he was able to get it setup to where when I would log into my Gmail account my phones info would be reloaded and I would be back in business. Unfortunately Gmail 2 step verification ask you to check your phone to log in. Phone was still a brick, NO FAULT of Verizon or Trevor. I had to have Gmail use my backup email account which took 5 days to confirm with Gmail. Once I was able to log into Gmail I could activate my phone and recover my info. I am back in business. The customer service I received was outstanding. Seth helped me open an account for 4 phones. It took a while as would be expected with 4 phones to load. Seth worked effectively and was able to answer all our questions. He is a very friendly guy and professional and knowledgeable in interactions with customers. I greatly recommend this business. I know everyone is short staffed and undertrained - but I wasted an hour to find out that the branch cannot honor the deals (in-store deals specifically) on the website. I was also quoted service pricing that was not on the website and kept pulling up the Verizon site to coach the customer service person to the current plans. While I was there other people were leaving - like myself - with zero resolution to issues ranging from adding new lines, figuring out tech issues, etc. finally the let me know they are not fully authorized- anyway - bummer - am at ATT now read more

I'm writing this review and I hope everyone reads it. I'm a dissatisfied customer and if this means anything to the corporation you need to fix this location and customer service ASAP. First, on each visit, the customer service was awful. Second, I've visited this location numerous times and noticed there was no minority on staff. I walked by to see this store, finally, hired a minority person African American gentleman, a very pleasant young man named, Miguel. I needed a new charger this time I didn't have to wait 20 min before I would be acknowledged. Miguel acknowledge my presence and immediately walked over to assist me... this is customer service, therefore, I felt comfortable and return to the store. I'm white and I'm furious to find out the ONLY person of color was let go. It is evident this Verizon store DO NOT want to have on staff in this location employees that are representative of people from more diverse groups. read more

Just had my second bad experience with this store, some of the folks inside appear to feel nothing but disdain for patrons, or they do not care a bit about their jobs. Whatever the case in both instances I have been met with an attitude of disregard, and treated like a pest when making simple inquiries. HR needs to do something about it because the poor service is well known around town and it is obviously hurting business. For now I recommend everyone go up the street to the one by Kmart, they're professional, friendly and far more deserving of your patronage. read more

I have been with AT&T for numerous years. In the past 3 months their cell service is not working in our area. We decided to go to this Verizon location and get new service. The people have been terrific. Pricing is standard everywhere, i checked. I am not technically proficient, therefore i need more help than most! I have called, gone back in, and just generally been the customer who calls and they don't need my name cuz they know my voice! They have been terrific, personable and above it all, fixed each issue I have had. Cell Service is exceptional and I am so thankful that there is a company here in town that was able to fix all of my cell phone issues. I like keeping my business in our small town. read more

Customer service exceeded my expectations. I really didn't want to give up my old phone, but after 6 years it could no longer keep up with the demands of new technology - I dreaded doing the transfer and time/stress of a new learning curve. Adam spent many hours patiently, kindly and expertly going through the process with me, with a promise that I could come back with any questions if I need further guidance. I never felt rushed and the whole atmosphere in the store was cheerful and calm. Employees actually looked like they enjoyed their work - No long lines or annoyed reps (as I've experienced in some other locations that are not in Grass Valley). Deception, lies and dishonesty. If this is what you are looking for when you buy your next cell phone, you sure will find it here! My husband was visiting his sister in Ca when he unfortunately needed to get a new phone on his out of contract line with Verizon. We had been talking about upgrading 2 of our lines, so it was not a big deal. He was so excited when he got to the store and found that they had the new Note 4. Jed was his salesman. My husband said he seemed fairly nice and helpful. When they were talking about how much the phone was, my husband asked if there were any payment plans available. What he was actually referring to was the "edge" program, since he had heard me talking about it but he did not know the name. He was told by Jed, multiple times, that there were no payment plans available and the phone would be discounted when he signed up for a 2 yr contract. In distress, being out of town and needing a new phone, he ended up paying a whopping $614.97 for the phone, 2 yr accident plan, screen protector ( they had to use a different phones and Jed cut it to fit.....???) and case protector. When my husband told me about the purchase, I just assumed that he had signed up for the edge program, since we had talked about it and it would have cost us under $5 a month for 2 years. When I saw the charge on our debit card and found out the story of what had happened, I immediately called Verizon. They said they would have been able to help me, but because it was purchased at a non-retail store, I had to deal with them directly. I called the 4G wireless store and talked to Jen, the assistant manager first. She said that we had 14 days to take care of returns and we were at 16. I told her the whole story about my husband being lied to and deliberately deceived (because I think he was an easy target since he was out of town and in distress needing a phone.) She said she would talk to the store manager, Joe, and call me back in 2 days, since the next day was Thanksgiving. When I did not hear from Jen (assist mgr) or Joe (mgr) that day, I called back the 3rd day (Nov 29th). I explained the whole drawn out story to Joe and he said he would have to review the audio and video with IT and get back to me by Tuesday ( I guess that meant that he did not believe my husbands story of how he was told there was no way to break up the cost of the phone). When I didn't hear from Joe on Tuesday I began calling the following day(ssss) only to hear "Joe is at lunch", "Joe is off that day", "Joe just left". Some times no one even answered, funny right? I left repeated messages. Finally, now, Dec 10, 15 days after contacting them the first time, I am writing this as well as contacting their corporate department and lodging a formal complaint with BBB. I feel like my husband was completely taken advantage of, lied to and deceived. Now that I am being avoided, I just want resolution. Where is customer service? read more

This was and has continued to be a thorn in my side. I tried a cell phone for 10 days in the 14 day trial period I returned it and the dude did not clear the phone. They eventually called me back three weeks later and I had to come back in to clear it. I had paid the fees when I returned the phone. They have haunted me for two years to pay an insane amount of money. It's gone to the credit collection and it's on my credit report. I only had the phone for 10 days and only used it a minimum amount of time. I have fax them all of my paperwork five times, I have talk to headquarters numerous times I have gone to both locations numerous times and nothing has changed. This was the worst experience I have ever had when trying to buy a new phone. The sales person added a protective cover to my new phone and the bill, without even asking me. This clear cover was 52.00. I may have purchased it if I was asked, but I wasn't. I also wanted to transfer my home phone number over to Verizon service. They neglected to tell me that I would have to purschse a unit that would hook up to my phone for about 98.00 in order to transfer the number. Plus they never told me that this transfer and new expensive unit would make my home phone work like a cell phone. The whole reason I was keeping a home phone/land line was in case of emergencies. I didn't need two cell type phones. They also didn't tell me that my home phone wouldn't work until I hooked up the new unit. Two weeks after this strange transaction they called me on my cell phone to say they were trying to get a hold of me by text for several days. I received no texts from them. Was that an excuse? I'll never know. I went into the store to figure it all out, I still didn't know, at that time, why I needed this unit, they didn't explain it over the phone. When I got there they told me that I had to buy the unit for my home phone or it wouldn't work. I told them that I didn't want a home phone if it worked as a cell phone did. And that I wanted to cancel my home phone number. They said if they took the 98.00 unit back it would cost me a 35.00 restocking fee! I didn't even open it or take it out of their store! THEN they said that if I purchased their HUM for my car they wouldn't charge me the restocking fee for the 98.00 unit. The HUM provides Bluetooth for a car. They were very pushy and obviously didn't care about their customers. It was ALL about their sales. I was tired, this was taking about 3 hours to discuss as they talked about how wonderful their products were, called their supplier, etc. I finally gave in and bought the hum, which costs me about 10.00 per month for the service. They said after 11 months or so, it was about a year, I could discontinue the service and not pay disconnect fees or restocking fees. I will do my best to NEVER go back to that store! This was THE WORST experience in buying a new phone. GO somewhere else!!!! read more

Terrible! Don't go here! We just upgraded our smart phones and were there for over three hours. The gentleman that helped us did not back up my husband's phone and he lost all of his contacts and other information on his phone. We were supposed to get $100 trade in for each of our iphones, but after we left we realized he only gave us $50 a piece for each of our phones. Because it had taken so long for the whole process, we had to leave for an appointment and the salesperson lost his patience and erased our old phones without a backup. The mark up on our screen protectors was huge and almost three times the price on Amazon. The salesperson left the store several times to get inventory from another store. He asked us to go shopping while he transferred our data and that it would only be 25 minutes. This lasted for more that 3 hours! Our groceries were baking in the car! We never post reviews, but we feel taken advantage of and feel the need to let people know! The sales people were turning customers away saying they could not help them. read more

Beware! Bait and switch! To begin, I have never written a negative review on any business, but this business is so bad I feel I need to. I felt I was buying a used car from a shady dealer. The day I bought my new phone they were explaining the new insurance promotion they have (free trial for two weeks) and I asked them what would happen if the screen cracked?" - and they replied, "No problem, we just exchange it for a new one" Four days later the screen cracks and I call them back and the lady manager acted really put out that I was calling to ask questions about my broken phone - very unprofessional attitude. She tells me to look on the back of the box for the address to a company that will help me (remember, "No problem, we just exchange it for a new one"?). She acted like she was too busy to help me. I looked through all the materials that came with the phone and could not find what they were talking about. When I called back they said, "Oh yeah, maybe you didn't get that in your box. Here's a phone number you can call for a company in Roseville" When you call that number a recording tells you to go online and fill out an application, that if approved you can go to Roseville for repairs. Really? So the whole "No problem, we just exchange it for a new one" is a total fabrication. Beware! read more

This is THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! All that the sales people care about are the sales. They lie to you about EVERYTHING so they can get a commission! I went in there and was told about the Buy 1 get 1 Free for the iPhones, last July. They only amazing thing that came out of it was my determination to switch to AT&T. The sales women screwed up my bill so badly that even customer care had no idea what happened. I have been paying over $400 a month in my verizon bill for months now, and what can they do for me about THEIR mistake on MY bill? NOTHING! They laugh at you when you go in with a problem with your bill, when you follow THEIR advice and call customer care. I had a women today laugh at me and say "Well, that was a huge mistake." When my bill is now over $1200.00 because of ANOTHER LIE that the sales woman told me. If you go in here to buy ANYTHING, you are being an idiot. Never trust a verizon salesperson, and especially not these people. read more
