To the very competent, kind and hardworking young man that was working today, thank you. To say the least, this young man deserves a raise, a promotion, and recognition. I came in with a screen glitch on my iPhone. This was stressful for me as my medical device is fully controlled from my phone. (Before anyone comes at me, yes I have backup options, they just are not as effective.) The young man quoted me and told me to come back in a couple hours. I expressed my concern with it controlling my medical device and he told me he would get it done ASAP. I sat in the shop and read my book while the shop kitty slept in my lap. What I witnessed over the next hour was impressive to say the least. He was the only employee. Person after person poured into the shop. One after the other he took the time to address what they needed and was polite and patient with them even when the person did not deserve it. He finished my replacement in an hour. An hour, that's it. In that hour not only did he replace my screen beautifully, he answered the phone, assisted customers with finding products, assisted customers with their phone issues, and answered customer questions. This young man did the job of at least four employees. I regret that I did not catch his name. If the business sees this review, I was there on 6/25/26 from 4pm-5pm. If anyone from that date and time leave a poor review on the business, please feel free to assume they are the customers that did not deserve this young man's patience or politeness. Here's the thing. If you know little about technology you can go have him " fix" your gadget. Based on my experience and many of my friends experiences, it's clear what he does js break your device so he can sell you another one for " a super good deal." I took my phone in that had a cracked screen. I was told to come back the next day, I did, wasn't ready, come back the next day, I did, still wasnt ready. On the third day of me driving 40 miles round trip he tells me the phone js broken but he can sell me a nicer one for 400$. Broken? No. Broken screen. Was working fine when I left it there and THEY broke it. So I ask for my phone back and he says he feels bad so he will get me a new iPhone and give my old one back. I go in at the time I was told and then sat there and waited over an hour for my old now broken phone to be put back together. Then they tried to give me my broken phone and charge me 150$ for another one. At this point I had already gotten a different phone up and running, day 5 and I needed a phone, I told them this and they still trying to convince me to buy this other phone i don't need after they broke mine. I had to threaten to call the police for them to even give me back my 40$ deposit. So 5 days later, I drove about 150 miles trying to get my phone, all I get back was my phone which was not broke when I left it there. I lost all of my information and a lot of photos. Had I known my phone would be broken I would have saved my info before dropping it off to have the screen fixed. This is the most unprofessional place I've ever seen and while Mohammed seems like he's trying to help, it's clear he is just a very good scam artist. The same thing happened to my friend with her computer, needed a software update and 3 months later went in after he was ghosting her and found her computer in the garbage bin, her hard drive swiped, lost everything. Go to auburn and watch the lady fix your screen while you sit there. It's honestly absurb and he has some lawsuits coming his way. Less than 24 hrs later, I tried to return the item for a refund. I was told only credit was given. When I questioned that there was no indication of this policy on the receipt nor did anyone tell me of this policy at the time of purchase, I was told there was a sign at the register. A sign? This store is chaos; there is stuff everywhere. How could one ever see a policy? When I stated I wanted my money refunded, I was told to keep the hard drive AND I would still receive the $50 credit. I really wish I had read all these terrible reviews before we went in there because we are left with a phone in an even worse condition when we initially brought it in. I brought a hard drive in and asked if they could fix it because I couldn't access the data. They told me they could transfer the data onto a new hard drive. Well, weeks went by. I never received a call. I came into the store wondering what happened, the owner handed me a flyer for an alternative systems for hard drive repair and told me to come back in a week. I came back after a week and they lost my external hard drive so i spent an hour with them looking for it. Once it was found they hooked it up to a computer and i could see my files being transferred. I was happy because this hard drive contained photos of my step daughter as a baby (she has since passed away) and the owner (the man) told me he would call me as soon as it finished. I never got a call. I have returned several times throughout the year and each time I go they tell me they will call me or to come back at a certain time. This entire matter has gotten completely out of hand and I am beyond upset that these photos have been lost forever. Irreplaceable. The least they could have told me was that they couldn't do anything with it instead of taking my property and losing it and completely unaware of where it even is. I had an oven control board that powered up, but one of the relays was bad and would not send power to the broiler. so I purchased a relay online and asked if they could solder out the old and put in the new (12 minute job - tops). After my wife made several trips to pick it up, because they never called, we picked it up and they charged "$50 because they usually charge $90" and were sorry for the delay (for a 12 minute soldering job). Any guesses? Yup, the board is fried now and won't power up. Looking at the clutter in their shop I can see how carelessness was a likely factor. Do not trust this business. What started as a simple repair turned into a total disaster -- and possibly even fraud. I brought in my Mac because the screen was black, but the computer was still running. Instead of doing a diagnostic, they guessed the issue, ordered a screen (which took 3 days), installed it, realized that wasn't the problem, then replaced the battery. That wasn't the issue either. Had they done a proper diagnosis, none of this would have happened. Then, they randomly closed for 3 days, midweek, with no warning. I drove there 12 times total trying to get answers -- most of the time, no one could help because the owner, Mohammad, wasn't there. But the worst part? While they still had my computer in hand, I found out through a local community group (200+ members) that this business has a reputation for stealing computer parts and replacing them with cheaper, low-quality versions. I immediately picked up my laptop and asked if my original parts were reinstalled. Mohammad assured me they were. I took it to Apple the next day, who confirmed the battery inside was a third-party replacement -- not my original. I now have no idea what other internal parts were touched, damaged, or swapped without my consent. This isn't just poor service -- it's potentially criminal. Tampering with hardware and returning it to a customer under false pretenses is theft. When I asked for my original battery back and a refund of my deposit, I was met with aggression, dishonesty, and refusal. They also "lost" my battery and blamed me for not coming in soon enough to recover it.. ? Fix My Gadget caused serious damage to my business, my equipment, and my trust. Called Mohammed today, because my I Phone 15 pro would not charge. He discovered it was corroded and said "this is very bad, very bad". but he also said I am going to see what I can do. He did whatever protocol he knew could possibly work to clear the corrosion. First we thought I would need a new phone, but then he was able to fix it and save me lots of money, time and aggravation, Wow I am so relieved, so happy! He told me exactly what to do from this time forward and there was a year warranty on his work!!! I had my husband go in to get my phone diagnosed because the screen turned white and then turned black and would not turn back on. First they tried one screen after 4 hours of my phone being in their office it was glitchy and did not work. They tried another screen that one also didn't work then they tried a 3rd screen that they did not state was $350. They had my husband in there for 4 1/2 hours and even an hour past closing time. He was arguing with the owner of the shop over the phone for those entire 4 hours trying to get a refund for the $130.66 and they finally agreed to refund it since we did not want the screen and they took it off and put my broken one back on. They ended up giving him $87.00 back and scammed $43.66 out of the money we paid. No this did not include the $35 deposit that you have to pay to get your phone diagnosed which you do not get refunded which is understandable. They then came to the conclusion that the battery is bad in my phone and needed to be replace and the owner of the store wanted another $35 to diagnose if my battery is actually bad and then however much more on top of that to replace the battery he said no and left at 8pm last night. He went back in today and the owner was refusing to answer the workers phone calls because they have to get verification that they can give cash back. I did the math on the markup price of the original $150 screen replacement that they still wanted to sell to me even though it was glitching and malfunctioning. I found the website they order from and they are charging a 74.43% markup on replacing the screen. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT MONEY SCAMMED FROM YOU. What a great experience and the staff is so friendly! Mohamed is the best! I am SO happy to have a local tech repair shop. My son's battery blew up like a balloon on his Iphone. I thought there was no hope. But, Mohamed was able to fix it, no problem, and the same day! We just went back a 2nd time because my son was given an Iphone 13 that was dropped multiple times and was told if he can get it fixed, he can have it. The screen was broken on the inside and you could basically just see a faint green light. And, the camera lens was broken. I love these folks- My samsung galaxy 23 ultra dropped on the cement. I had never had that happen, and I literally could not use the phone! gasp! I was close at the doggie training school with my puppy, and decided to go in. Xfinity was useless after several attempts to try to figure out my insurance. I ended up paying 400./ but it was worth it. They did a great job. The damage exceeded just the screen and they did surgery on it, overnight in the OR and I got it back the next day. They are so nice- they let me bring my dogs in. They threw in a case for my phone. GO here and avoid the red tape of your carrier plans that are a pain in the a$$. read more

This store is chaos. I Went for a phone case and i did get one at a fair price. Owner was friendly enough but almost in a pushy way. His assistant asked if i wanted help and then pretty much just got in the way and gave terrible insight on everything and had to keep asking owner who was busy when i just wanted to be left alone to look at cases. I walked in and he insisted i give him my phone so he could put a screen protector on it. I never asked for that service. When i asked about the line on my phone he insisted it would go away. It hasnt. I prefer tempered glass covers for this reason. He charged 25 for this stick on protector which i didnt ask for and alters the color of my phone and left a visible line across the middle. I shouldve took a picture of the store because it is so unorganized in there. I will never go back to this place. I brought them an irreplaceable piece of medical gear from a company itout of business. On the phone, they said they would work on it the same day. We didn't need it back that fast, so we said we would pick it up in four or five days. What followed was a month-long odyssey of abysmal communication, them not knowing where the device was, and ultimately extracting the device from them still in its broken state. The place is chaotic and disorganized, usually with several people waiting. Calling on the phone was incredibly frustrating. The woman would tell me that she had to ask her boss and he wasn't available and she would call me back. Then she wouldn't call me back. Then I called the next day and even said that she had said she was going to call me back but she wouldn't, and was she really going to call me back today. She said yes, she was. Of course, I didn't ever hear from her. When my wife went in to talk to them a few days later, the woman said she had been busy as an excuse for not having called me back. Then when I called again and ultimately said we were going to pick it up unfixed, she said I'd have to pay a labor charge! Thankfully, the guy didn't try to make that charge when I did pick it up. All in all, we wasted about 4 1/2 hours. My device isn't the easiest job, I'm sure, but the extreme lack of communication and disorganization, and even being unable to locate the device the first time we went to pick it up, leaves me with zero confidence in them. --- Update: I read Mohamed's response. We were first told it was a capacitor on the power board. Then later told it was the motherboard. Unfortunately, it was always very thin info and more weeks of waiting with no updates. Following a series of misfortunate events that were outside of the control of any human being that left my guitar amplifier damaged, Muhammad immediately went online and ordered me a brand new guitar amplifier to replace mine, which was more than I expected or have ever seen any business owner do for a customer. Unfortunately I had previously given FixMyGadget 5 stars, but my original repair broke the first day I got it back. Bad battery and face id sensor were identified as the problem originally, but turns out the display sensors were also bad and required a new display. This is of course fine and I totally understood the need for another repair as Mohammed explained it to me. What irked me somewhat is I was quoted an additional ~$120-150 for this repair, as Mohammed had promised me there would be no labor cost due to the mix up first time around. I had already paid $170 for a new battery as we thought that was the problem the first time. But when I came into pay after a week or so of back and forth I was charged $290 for the new display, double what I was originally quoted. I would have even been fine with this (mistakes happen!), but the display that was installed is a refurbished, 60Hz only low-brightness unit when the OEM part is 120Hz and much brighter. So I was given a substandard part for substantially more than quoted originally, and more than $400 repair in total. Of course both Mohammed and Sarah were very professional and both are very knowledgeable and capable. It was just disappointing to pay so much and to have a long mix-up saga trying to fix this phone. If there is one piece of constructive criticism I would give, FixMyGadget could do better organizing and prioritizing their repairs. They seem to be very popular and as such are understaffed and perpetually overwhelmed. Overall though, I would still recommend them, just be aware you may have some problems if you do not really nail down details about exactly what they will be doing and how much it will cost. read more
