After being with VZW for over 22 years I can say this is the worst service I've received. I was having an issue with my 16 Pro Max. After fighting Apple for months trying to use my AppleCare, I reached out to Verizon tech support who sent a replacement device. Unfortunately they sent the wrong phone out. I was told for the fastest process, take the 'replacement' to the nearest corporate store vs sending it back via UPS. We made an appointment via customer service for 6pm tonight. I arrived at the store just for there not to be an appointment found. Now, we didn't have to wait but a minute or two which was good. But the gentleman who helped us, said that the phone could not be returned in store that it needed to be sent back via UPS and that they "do not get shipments to and from the store." So there must be a sweatshop in the backroom with kids building $10 phones before they sell them for $1600. I would have loved the opportunity to discuss an early upgrade, but instead of finding a way to make a sale, we weren't helped. So off to Michael's to use their UPS drop box. 22+ years with Verizon, Apple products, AppleCare...none of it means a damn thing to these companies. read more

I wish so badly I could leave -1 stars. Absolutely the worst racial profiling I've ever seen in my life BY RILEY. RILEY profiled my little brothers as they were attempting to make there first grown man decision and start their own service with Verizon. She flat out said that his story seemed suspicious and denied his application. She said he was approved for $0 and when asked to display this to him she refused. She came up with the excuse that she can't hand people over her tablet but she handed it to him and made him do the whole application. She didn't even do her job. She also said that she knows scammers when she sees one and refused to give us her name or store # which I had to retrieve from the manager who was very nice by the way. He also agreed the story didn't make sense and handed us a customer service card and said to call. The application was not denied when I followed up with customer service she just told us that was the case. As I recorded her she waited until I put my phone down and smirked at me all deviously. RILEY is a racist and should not be involved in any kind of customer service. I believe she never even submitted the application because when I called with the application number they said they didn't see it at corporate. the Grove City store has to be the worst Verizon location I've ever visited I went in for help and the manager Delray was very rude, kept interrupting me and the associate I was speaking to being very aggressive and nasty towards me. I asked his name he stated his first name and I asked his last name and he rudely stated "it's none of my business " I wasn't aware the associates can't give out their last name so his response was not needed nor valid. I asked for his name so I could call and complain about his service. I have the conversation recorded bc I couldn't believe how RUDE and SNAPPY he was. He literally didn't offer anything but nasty responses to my questions when I came in for help with a company I've given my hard earned money to for years. Typically we have pretty good service here. We had sweet young lady help us upgrade my phone and we also changed our plan slightly. She was super friendly and made it very easy for us. My only qualm is that Verizon needs to stop being so greedy as a company. They wanted WAY too much for their Otterboxes and screen cases. They had the same cases online (Otterbox!) for quite cheaper (with same day shipping) and I asked if they do price matching... which they do not... Definitely Verizon's loss on that one. Verizon is good in some areas but barely any they are absolutely trash there service sucks and where I live I can't get Wi-Fi because spectrum dose not go out that far and no other Wi-Fi company so I have to use my cellular and half the time the cell tower that's down the road is always down, also not to mention I don't get 5G past Circleville. I HiGHLY recommend NOT going with Verizon. We switched from Spectrum 4 months ago. out internet goes off 6-8 times a day requiring rebooting each time. We went to drop Verizon and they said Grove City, Ohio has old towers that do not work well. they suggested we switch to 5 G to resolve our problem. (Basically to get them more money) we upgraded to 5 G. I have called their interactive phone numbers 3 times and each of the 3 times it took me over an hour to get through. Each time I finally got through I got persons whose English was difficult to understand. Each time We talked at length, they confirmed we had a bad router, stated they would FedEx a new router to us, gave me an order number and no router ever arrived. James is literally the only Verizon employee that i have ever enjoyed speaking with. Typically they are all rude and make you feel like you are inconveniencing them just by breathing in their store. Arrived at opening on Sunday Nov 17 2019 at 11am, with partner and our 26 yr old daughter. About 12 people headed to the door. We got inside in line to check in. Pink hair guy was checking the line in, and Spvsr Drew stepped up with tablet and said, "i can help who is next," so we step to him with tablet. He was not prepared on tablet soooooooooooo, the pink hair checked in the 5 customers behind us before Drew got us checked in. This of course put us at the end of the list, and i said that to him, and went shopping for the Samsung partner and daughter wanted. After not being able to hold any Samsungs more than 3 inches off the table, i checked every phone and tablet on display. Each one had a coil cord that let you look closely at the item-NOT SAMSUNGS. My post-surgery back is my handicap so i cant bend without severe pain. My family was annoyed that they could not hold Samsungs like you would hold a phone. Enter Verizon Employee Kevin. I asked if he could let the family hold one bcuz the want one but want to hold them. Kevin said no. I suggested they want this phone so bring out the phone they want and they can hold it, and my request was ignored. Shopping a case, he said he was handling the two phone sales together, and I said, no we will do this separate bcuz my partner once it done separate bcuz set up, promoo codes, backup for phones confuses partner, and this is what they want. Verizon employee Kevin said "I'm not wasting an hour on each one, and its my deal so i am ringing them both up at the same time." I said "we are the customers, and this is what we want." Verizon Employee Kevin said, "I dont care. You are not buying a phone here today. DREW IM NOT DEALING WITH THIS GUY!" He stormed off saying it to Drew, with another customer. Drew approached me and started to speak and stopped himself when we made eye-contact. He remembered screwing us over signing in at the door, and walked away. By now the family was upset with me speaking up (when you are not a sheep, you speak up). So hearing the sheep family bitch at me for their drooling over new phones, i was asked to go to the car by family. I said no. I sat and listened to Kevin sell them phones, not set them up, omit truths to be lies in the sales. He failed to offer all colors, bcuz i know it can be ordered, he failed to offer the big memory, he failed to inform them of the insurance deductible, the truth that verizon insurance is 3rd party with a big deductible, and made his sale telling the family to go home and follow the instructions on the phones for the setup. SOLD. Ten minutes after getting home, the family had to return to Verizon bcuz they could not get the phones set up. DREW AND KEVIN SHOULD NOT HAVE TOLD THE CUSTOMERS TO LEAVE WHEN THE PHONES WERE NOT SETUP AND WORKING! VERY POOR SERVICE BY SPVSR DREW AND KEVIN. Kevin talked more about his personal likes of his car hobbies and Samsung Note 9 (We bought Samsung S10+) than helping the family understand the billing and promotion and refused to give them the promo code when I insisted to partner to get the code. Last Verizon plan with a promotion code took 8 MONTHS OF PHONE CALLS TO GET THE BILL CORRECT. Verizon then suggested to always get the PROMO CODE to help them correct the billing. So now, the partner can deal with the Verizon Bill when constant mistakes of over billing occur. Drew and Kevin are the worst example of customer service i have ever experienced in my 50 years on earth. UPDATE AN HOUR LATER Daughter's new phone had to be replaced bcuz it would not let her connect to the network, even with the SIM card and proper log in information. Wow. I can't believe how we were treated. With Christmas coming up we planned on upgrades and accessories. Not now. We plan on switching to a company that show respect to customers. First off Devin was absolutely amazing. He helped and went above and beyond customer service. He replaced iPhone glass and otter box case for us. All was good. That was until "Pat" stepped in and corrected him in front of us. Here is the issue. So my phone had icons as if the were burnt into the screen. Verizon tech support walked me through software upgrades and soft reset. I asked if I should do a factory reset and was told that it is not necessary. They told me to come into the store to show issue to and order a new phone that was covered under warranty. So back to "Pat". She correct Devin stating that a factory reset must be done and that it's not "Pat" rules it's verizon. I explained to her that it was not necessary as instructed by Verizon Tech support. She said that this store and the Verizon Corp are not connected and these are the rules of this store. She then walked away. I had no clue who she was. She never introduced herself nor told me her position. She just went into correcting Devin right in front of us. We told Devin we didn't want to factory reset as it's not needed. He agreed but said because her password is needed that a new phone would not be ordered until she sees we did a factory reset! So we backed it up there and as we were "Pat" was no where to be found. After the backup and factory reset, Devin took the phone to show "Pat" the proof that it was factory reset. I told him to tell her I want an apology from her regarding her attitude and her walking away from the situation as if her word was the holy bible. He came back and said she is on lunch. I told him I'll be back in an hour to get my apology. I asked again where that lady was and Devin said she was still in the back complaining and carrying on about my issue. He ordered my phone, he apologied for her behavior and we left. I returned an hour later. "Pat" seen me come in and ignored me. I talked to a person upfront and I asked to speak to her. A few minutes later she came over and I explained I am just wanting an apology for her attitude and how she walked away without solving the issue or even identifying herself by name or title. She said she wasn't apologizing for anything and keep interrupting me and arguing with me. I told several times if she was a manager she has poor customer service skills. I told her all I was asking for was an apology regarding her attitude and her walking away, and that the factory reset didn't need to happen. She refused and I said I wasn't leaving until I received and apology. She continued to argue. I said very loud that I am not leaving until I get an apology. She walked away and I sat down in the front of the store. My sister called me and I was sitting down on the bench at the front of the store. I told my sister that the lady "pat" was being a bitch. This tiny lady that was there from another store approached me and said that I don't need to be calling anyone a bitch. I said I can call whoever I want a bitch as it's my right. It's called the first amendment. She said you can get the fuck out my store. I said and you're going to make me? I think not. Then another employee, tall and with facial hair gave his two cents, and I told him it has nothing to do with him and to mind his own business. Then "Pat" came out and said who was I calling a bitch, and told the other lady to call the cops. At this point approx 7 to 10 employees came to the front and was staring me down, intimidating me. They were mouthing off to each other saying threatening statements, but would not say it to me directly. As they encroached on my personal space I could tell this could get bad. I took thisntime to use tgebsafe place arguement by saying i felt unsafe in theor store and told them I will wait outside for the police and I left. I called the store manager Matthew while waiting for the police and left two voice mail messages, neither returned as of this evening. The police showed up and I told them my version of events. They went in to get theirs. I was told by the police that I was not welcomed back into the store and that the manager stated to them if I did come back they would prosecute me for criminal tresspassing!! Well to say the least, we are switching carriers. No one should we be treated with such disrespect as they showed in that store today, with the exception of Devin. My husbands phone randomly stopped working on January 1st. We were checked in behind 5 other people, and we got there right at opening. We only waited about 40 minutes to be helped, which I didn't mind because I don't want my sales person to rush when helping me, so why want them to rush with others before me? We worked with Kevin and he was wonderful! He helped us fix our problem, ordered my husband a replacement phone through our insurance, and told us how to get the best deal when we were ready to upgrade! He was straight forward, to the point, friendly, knowledgeable, and relate-able! He then told me how much he loves working for Verizon, and how Verizon changed his life. I'm so happy to have worked with Kevin and seeing the smiling faces of EVERYONE who was working that day! If I could give less than 1 star I would. Not only is the service beyond terrible they were just downright rude. Customer service via phone had me go in and specifically ask for a manager. After waiting over and hour, John refused to come out and help with our issue. Why? I'm not sure. He sat in the back and finally when I called 611 customer service again, he finally came out but has to be the most incompetent, disrespectful, rude "manager" I've ever encountered. We were at the store over 2 hours. John said Austin the store manager will call us but almost 2 weeks later....no phone call. I will say that the phone agent resolved our issue and apologized profusely for the unprofessionalism and incompetency of this corporate store. I found out that it is $10/month. I live an hour away from their closest store, so I could not return it within 10 days. I asked if I could mail it to them, they said that I need to return it in person so I could sign a document. Rated them a zero on the Verizon survey. The "manager" called me back and it was actually the kid that was trying to swindling me. He asked why I did not have a pleasant experience. She told us we could buy an IPad for an additional $279.00 . We said sure, why not? Today we discovered our bill has increased and we are on a 2 year contract. I bought my Samsung S7 phone at the Grove City store and the salesman was great. My battery was dying and I stopped by the store to find out what to do. The gentleman at the door on 12/21/18 really wasn't interested in helping anyone that wasn't there to buy a phone. He told me I could go down the road to Batteries Plus and get a battery - he was holding my phone in his hand and was well aware what phone it was. The Lancaster store laughed and pointed out the battery in the S7 couldn't be replaced. I will skip Grove City in the future. read more

I have been a Verizon customer since 1996. I started working for Verizon Wireless back then and left in 2007, but continued to be a customer after I resigned. I have always had good cellular service and no issues with my billing. I had one incident in a store recently with an assistant sales manager who basically said I didn't know how to read (implying fine print) and after doing an internet search for the executive leadership and sending an email, my new phone purchase for myself and my husband got quickly taken care of and resolved to our satisfaction. I swore I would never go back in that Verizon location, but I did and I was greeted quickly and got signed in. The wait was pretty long, so I decided not to stay. Overall, the store was well-staffed and there are several phone models on display. They have seating available if you have to wait in line. I am satisfied with Verizon since the incident and hope that when it is time to upgrade again, the experience goes better. If you are new to Verizon Wireless, be sure to check with them to see if your employer offers a discount. I get a specific discount off my rate plan with my employer. They may have discounts for other organizations too. Great way to save money. read more

I wish I could give a ZERO star rating for this location! Ive been a Verizon customer for 12+ years and never have I had the negative experience as I had here! Went in to upgrade to iPhone 8+, was told they wasn't going to honor the online price (Marked down in preparation for the iPhone XS release) because they hadn't marked their's down yet. Mind you, I went in the store when there was about 3-4 people in there and I waited almost 40 minutes to see a Verizon employee. There was two of them stocking shelves when they could have been helping the waiting customer (Me)! After my wait I spoke to the Verizon employee for 2 minutes which was when I got advised that they would not honor the online price. I respectfully thanked him for his time and departed the store. I walked out to the parking lot, called Verizon customer service (GREAT CS) and about 20 minutes later had purchased the 8+ with them and did an in-store pickup at that location. I walked back in, no customers waiting in front of me, just the couple that were being helped. I had to check back in, waited another 25 minutes while again, I watched a couple employees just walk around looking for work. Another guy, different from the first, helped me out. I advised him what I had done and that I was back to pick up my phone and trade my 7+ in (Paid off). He asked why I didnt just buy the phone there the first time I was in there. I advised that the phone was $100 less online and that the first guys said they wouldnt match that price. He advised me that he made a mistake and that they would absolutely match their online price. At this point, now knowing that, I had wasted nearly 2 hours on something I could have had done in 45 minutes! Ended up picking up my red 8+, screen protector, case, wireless charging pack and traded my 7+ in. Was told that I would receive the bill credit for the trade in the following bill cycle so I had them charge the $195 in accessories I got for the new phone on my next bill so that the trade in would just negate that amount. Month later (Today) my bill hit. $600 (Normally $425). Called Verizon and after explaining the situation, after an hour and 6 minutes on the phone It was determined that the store location sent me an e gift card for the trade in value the following day of the trade in. Was told I would receive a BILL CREDIT not an e gift card! As I explained to the Verizon CS rep (Great CS as usual) 99% of human beings get tons of emails a day and unless you are expecting something specific, you normally delete stuff without noticing what it is. That was the case, I was not expecting an e gift card so I apparently deleted it when I received it. The Verizon CS rep reached out to the store location and thankfully was able to have them re issue the e gift card which was able to be used to pay the bill portion that I had charged to this bill. Moral of my review is, the employees at this location are ok at best. They will leave you sitting around waiting for well into your time when clearly there are employees not actively engaged with customers. If stocking shelves in preparation for a phone release (That you don't even have out for sale yet) is more important then taking care of the waiting customers inside your store then you need to start by firing the manager for allowing this to happen then as we know, S rolls down hill from there! Toping that off by educating your employees on proper customer service skills (Basic communication is the platform on which good customer service is built) so that they are not making the paying customers feel as if they are wasting the employees time by asking questions. Your job, entirely, is to educate me, answer questions regarding the products you sell, and represent your company, Verizon, in such manner that people respect that they are the best provider. When you treat people like crap the perception is that Verizon is crap. We all know thats not the case so to the employees, if your having a bad day, keep your butt at home, don't come into work an treat other people like dirt because you hate your job, because your wife thinks the neighbor is cute, or because your puppy peed on the carpet! No one cares about that. Set the example for your company so that the customers feel wanted and appreciated for allowing you to have a paycheck. read more

We came in on Saturday to look at phones and then decided to purchase an Ultra Plus 64GB card with adapter for our Go Pro. The seller, Kingdre-E09TR, informed us that we could return it within 14 days if we didn't need it. Once arriving home, we noticed we already had one and decided to return it on Monday. We were informed that those cards can not be returned. We let them know that Kingdre told us that we could within the 14 day timeline. The manager told us "That's how he gets his sales, telling guests that they can return when in reality they can't". And he's still working there?! That's coming from his manager too. Do not trust what they tell you here. They quoted me $156.28 a month, 10GB, for an upgrade to the Edge Plan. All I needed was the sales tax amount. Figuring I would be paying the sales taxes through out the edge plan, 18 months, I wasn't expecting my bill to jump up $130 the first month. Apparently you pay everything up front the first month. They do not tell you that when you are in the store excited to be bringing your bill down $50, your bill will be extremely higher than you were QUOTED!! I am in the car business where the sales taxes are spread out through the life of the loan. Where do they come off to not tell you the amount of taxes you are about to pay? Worst Verizon I have ever been too. Pretty sad to even have them associated with the company. I went in there looking for a phone in my price range, they kept pushing the phones I couldn't afford. Was really excited about upgrading my phone (had a blackberry for years) and thought I was getting the deal of the century, free phone, 2 free tablets, free car charger, and free portable charger, AND my bill would go down to $164 per month (family plan). All I had to do was pay the taxes. I asked several times if there was a catch, hidden charges...nothing, have all of this in writing too, so felt confident to move forward. Bottom line, it was a lie! My first month I paid $273 which included (according to the online rep) set up fees, but my bill would be back down in January to $164 (therefore I gave the two "free" tablets away to a needy family for Christmas). Now my bill is $194 per month because I am being charged per line....not the $164 I budgeted for per the Verizon rep online and in the store rep. There is nothing I can do now, I am stuck paying a bill I didn't budget for and paying for tablets I don't even have. I am really bummed because now I am searching for a new company to buy me out of my contract all to blatant lies from a company I have trusted for 10 years. Visited the Grove City Verizon store yesterday and they were extremely helpful, friendly and answered all my questions. I usually go there for silly questions whenever I think of them because they are fairly close like 5 minutes away. They are always very accommodating and always very friendly. Everytime I go there I learn something new. I highly recommend this store as the people are extremely nice. I can't imagine anybody in that store being rude or unfriendly.
