On Wednesday, August 12, I had the misfortune of being referred to the Victra Verizon Store in Lewes, Delaware, for assistance with transferring my cell service to Verizon. Upon entering the store, the male representatives were occupied assisting other customers, while the available female representative barely acknowledged me. I explained that I had been referred by another Verizon representative who had attempted to assist me by telephone. Rather than reviewing the notes or making an effort to understand the situation, the Victra representative immediately presented one objection after another, stating, "You will need to pay $30, regardless of what the other agent said," and that it would take 24-48 hours for my phone to be unlocked or I would need to purchase another phone. Rather than continue an unproductive interaction, I left the store, contacted my previous cell provider to verify that the transfer had been completed, and proceeded to the Verizon location in Rehoboth Beach. My experience there was completely different. Alex of TCC welcomed me warmly, explained that he would assist me as soon as he finished helping another customer, and then provided exceptional customer service. He took the time to troubleshoot the issue, remained patient and professional, and ensured that my service was fully activated before allowing me to leave the store. I also want to recognize the Verizon telephone representative I initially spoke with, who followed up with me the following day to ensure that my phone service had been successfully activated. That follow-through was greatly appreciated. Alex and the telephone representative demonstrated what genuine customer care looks like--professionalism, patience, accountability, and a sincere commitment to resolving the customer's issue. Although my initial experience at the Victra store was extremely disappointing, the exceptional service I received from Alex and the telephone representative restored my confidence in Verizon's commitment to its customers. read more

Well I've been a Verizon customer for 15 years now and I recently upgraded my phone. I was also on an older plan and my phone was 4 years old. The tech immediately told me I was eligible for a free phone exclusive for being a loyal customer and I could upgrade my plan as well. This was not a cheap phone but a top of the line Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, I don't do Apple. I also went to an unlimited plan with hotspot data as well. The tech put the liquid glass on my phone and went through every detail of my plan and what the price would be. My bill is $50 cheaper than it was and my phone is awesome so I am a happy customer. read more

Stay away from this Verizon store. The more I read the more i learn that a lot of people have had the same issues I had. They get compensated for signing you up for device plans and protection. I was told that the phones come with a 30 day free protection then will automatically fall of if not wanted at the end of 30 days. All lies .... two other Verizon representatives at other locations told me basically id been lied to. There has never been a free 30-day trail. Also my old devices that I did not have to trade in had new plans added to them.... I believe in karma 3-fold and hope this upon every manipulative employee in that store. I believe in working hard, being honest and deriving business thru referrals. Unfortunately, they have a presence on Coastal highway with a big sign and unknowing potential customers keep coming thru the door. My experience in just getting a new iPhone turned into a nightmare that I am still trying to resolve. I was given a 'sales pitch' that was dishonest at best. I was duped out of 100s of dollars with false claims and bad information provided by a snake oil salesmen. It has taken over a month and a half to resolve the issues they created with my Verizon account. The Verizon rep assured me that I was not alone with my experience and she hears of similar experiences everyday. my question is why does Verizon partner with such a dishonest operation? Avoid this phone store or be prepared to push back and not get bamboozled like I was. read more

Avoid this location at all costs!!! My mother went to get a new iPhone and was somehow signed up for a business account with internet service (which she already has) and multiple phone lines. I have been trying to cancel the extra services for months, including five in person visits and more phone conversations than I can count over the past three months. All I get is excuses and false promises to fix the problem, yet there is still no resolution. This behavior is appalling and the inability to correct and mistake and continue to fraudulently charge a customer is criminal. They started charging her in August and it is now December. I finally had to change her cell phone plan to another company and had my credit card dispute the charges. The business account still isn't closed and I don't know what else to do. read more

Today was a technologically challenged day for me. I was at the end of my rope when I entered the Verizon store. The most pleasant and knowledgeable person helped me get all of my issues resolved. Mason was thorough and knowledgeable about my situation and easily navigated through the entire process of trying to correct issues with my old phone to quickly getting me set up with a new phone. This is not my first experience with this store. Each time the staff has been more that able to meet the needs that were presented to them. Kudos to such a wonderful group of technology savvy people. I wouldn't recommend the wireless authorized retailers. They are different than corporate Verizon. Deceptive practices and they are under a company Victra which will tell you they will be in touch about your complaint. Never happens. If you trade in a phone they don't tell you they are putting a $29.99 charge in case there is water damage. I wanted a screen protector. Instead of going over options he just put the most expensive at 66.99. Then he proceeds to put on camera lense protector which I didn't ask for. Have tried getting this resolved to no avail. I will contact BBB and Delaware Consumer fraud. I guess because I'm a senior he thought I wouldn't notice the charges on the emailed receipt. read more

We went to the Verizon office on Coastal Highway in Lewes, DE to upgrade our phones per the recent promotional advertising. The Verizon Store blatantly lied to us about what service they would provide. They added numerous hidden "fees" to the "on us" plan. They added numerous unwanted "extra" services without our permission at inflated rates. Be very careful in dealing with this store as they will take advantage of you as much as they can. The manager Bernard miller promised they would honor the promotional deal I got through text by Verizon in December now February come around and the bill is still 100 plus dollars I don't recommend doing business with this man or this business first chance I get I'm switching providers also they never answer the phone. So disappointed. We bought a new iPhone there in late September 2022. The woman who helped us was great, and we really enjoyed the purchase experience. But when I checked my Verizon account shortly thereafter, I saw that she had added Verizon's phone protection - at $17/month - without asking me. Two weeks later, we were back there for a 2nd phone. Again, she was very helpful, but I asked her to move the phone protection to the new phone, and remove it from the first one. I then asked her to confirm at the end that she had done that, and she said she had. When I checked a few days later, BOTH phones now has the $17/month charge. I called Verizon to remove it, and also discovered that there's a much cheaper plan - less than half the price - that the sales woman hadn't even mentioned. I assume she gets a commission on the sale of the protection plan. Don't trust what they tell you - verify! read more

This is a very unhelpful, unpleasant place to do business. Went in to check to have my iPhone (bought it here 2 years ago) unlocked as a prerequisite to switching to another carrier. The man said it was automatically unlocked when I finished my payments, but his whole attitude was sour.
