Based on the comments and my own experience, seems like there are 3 kinds of Verizon stores. Corporate (located in ktown), regular (this location) and franchise (Alhambra - which would get a one star from me because the girl there messed up the info on my account, claimed she had to create another account and oddly, took my card to the back and coincidentally I started getting additional fake charges on it). But the gentleman here (stocky guy with short hair) who seems to be there all the time by himself, always holds it down, is professional but friendly. This is NOT a corporate Verizon location (this is a third party store) Wow, what a difference the experience can be depending on who helps you. I visited this location on Black Friday to upgrade my phone, and Jennifer assisted me. She was fantastic--attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. She even made great conversation while we waited for my data transfer. Truly top-tier service. Jennifer explained I could take the phone home while the transfer continued and return the next day to finalize everything. When I came back, Rashon M helped me, and unfortunately, it was a completely different experience. Whether he's new or unfamiliar with the products and plans he's trying to sell, he was uninformed and gave me a trade-in credit estimate that was entirely different from what Jennifer had told me. While I can sort out the discrepancy with customer care, his attitude, lack of knowledge and urgency was terrible. To make matters worse, he barely looked up from his phone to answer my questions and was dismissive the entire time. Like a teenager glued to his cell phone. Very weird. Finally, I ask him for his name a if he could print me out a paper receipt with and attitude he's goes "the printer broke" and tells me to take a picture of some random document he pulled up without a Verizon logo on it (some third party store called Wireless Plus 145 EP - this is NOT a corporate location btw) At one point, he was even discussing with a coworker how "dumb" a previous customer was for not understanding why they didn't qualify for a promotion. lol I couldn't believe it. My experience with this WiFi is the WORST I have ever experienced and I've tried to cancel 4 times via phone and chat and they will take up 45 minutes of my time and then NOT DO IT. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! This place is the absolute WORST. The staff are absolutely clueless, the wait/service times take HOURS and the manager -- NATE PANASI is abusive and disrespectful!!! I had to return the following day after my purchase because the girl who served me had screwed up, lied to me to upsell products, and gave me incorrect information about my plan. I was a little annoyed about having to return to the store again after spending more than 2 hours there the day before, but I was hoping it would be a quick fix and I could just get in and out. So wrong. There was only one guy working and he was seeing someone so he got the manager to help me, and wow, did Nate come in hot. From the get go he was rude, condescending and combative. When I called him on his behavior he raised his voice and became even more confrontational. I wasn't looking to get into it with him about the previous days service/issues, I just wanted him to correct it so I could go on with my day, but for some reason he just wanted to be a dick. He insulted me. He refused to listen. He insinuated that I deserved to be lied to about the product because I had not researched it before coming in to purchase. He even refused to even give me his full name. If someone is behaving correctly then why refuse to give their full name?? He crossed his arms to cover up his name badge so I couldn't see his last name and then refused to deal with the issues that brought me back into the store in the first place, and tried to kick me out-- but I HAD to deal with that store because the purchase was made there! I was shaking after my experience with him. I don't know if he is just sexist, or didn't like my accent, or is just simply TERRIBLE with customers, but he told me that as manager he does not care about customers and has no interest in treating them with respect. He told me that customer-service is not his job and apparently not what he does-- despite dealing with customers every single day. The entire confrontation was recorded by in-store cameras and there were witnesses so I have no problem taking this further. Fortunately, the other sales rep, Nicholas Quinlan, was AMAZING. After Nate stormed out and went into the back room, Nate stepped in and patiently and calmly and respectfully helped me with all the issues that needed correcting from the previous day. I will also say that the girl who helped me the previous day had only been on the job a week and a half, but if she didn't know answers she should have just said so, not lied or made things up that required me to return again the next day--for another two hours (!)-- putting me in a position to be verbally assaulted by the manager. I've honestly never experienced anything like it. The last thing I will say is that the second time I was there I learned that this is not an actual Verizon store -- they are AUTHORIZED RETAILERS. This makes a big difference when dealing with your plan, and I'm guessing the price of accessories (which were crazy expensive!!!). Unfortunately I STILL have to return a THIRD TIME to trade my old phone in, which can only be done at that same store. The thought is already giving me anxiety because Nate was so volatile. I guess I'll have to bring my husband with me so I feel safe. But please, save yourself the time, money and abuse and just go to an actual Verizon retailer. Spare yourself the time and do not come here. As an authorized retailer they will not hold you to the same policies that a normal Verizon would. Came in here to upgrade my phone. The assistant manager told me I had to buy a connected device to qualify for a trade-in promo, and sold me a $130 hotspot. I spoke to VZW customer service and they told me this as wrong and I should return the device with no $50 restocking fee attached (the hotspot was not active and still in the box). Came back to return the device and the one dude in the store ignored me for 30 minutes before his coworker came back from lunch and helped me out. The staff insisted I had to pay the $50 restock fee despite what VZW had told me over the phone. Finally convinced VZW to waive the fee after the ridiculous back and forth. I've been a Verizon customer for over a decade and this store drove me to the point of dropping them as my carrier. If you like being stressed and hassled, come here! If not, go somewhere else. Marisa at Wireless Plus saved my vacation! While on vacation, my less than two years old iPhone unexpectedly died. I talked to Apple care, took it in to a servicer, with no luck. Fortunately I saw Verizon Wireless Plus in the same shopping center as the phone servicer and walked in ten minutes before closing because I was desperate to get a new phone so I could continue my vacation. Marisa was super helpful and patient and stayed way after closing just to help me get a new phone up and running. And she's checked in with me since then to make sure my new phone is working properly. So grateful to Marisa and the team!! read more

As a newly wed, my husband and I decided to merge phone plans. We went on Sunday afternoon and Jennifer was such a great help! She throughly explained all of my options as a new customer in regards to getting a new phone. She also explained the new pricing clearly, and was very patient with us as we asked multiple questions through the process. The phone I wanted wasn't in stock so she ordered it for me and it came the following Wednesday. We also upgraded my husbands phone in the process. I appreciate her efforts to make me feel welcomed in the store. Over all this staff receives a 10/10 from me! I have come to dread ever having to deal with Verizon employees because there's just something eerie and off putting about their devotion to a phone company and lack of respect for customers. In fact, I only stopped by at this location after being turned away from the Commerce location. I arrived to find that Andy and Edgar are truly exceptional! I REGRET EVERYTHING. The customer service made you feel taken care of but its all a sham. Day one we went into upgrade our phones and see what we could do to lower our plan. We worked out a few options for a lower bill and Jose-Louis even said he would throw in free screen protectors! Sounds sweet. Its always nice to get a little hook up. When our phones arrived the screen protectors were no longer free. We got a discount. Okay, not the worst thing. A hook up is still a hook up and not expected. Thats one small example of things promised and not followed through on. The biggest issue is the outright deception. Not informing us of additional fees. BIG ONEs. Promising to make changes to our plans (to save us money) and then NOT making those same changes. That is either incompetent or intentional. Which one is worse? This is not a Verizon store, its an authorized dealer. They will just mess up your plan, causing you to get on the phone with actual Verizon to sort it out. We went in with iphone 8s and a $250 bill. We upgraded to iphone 11s and were quoted a new $211 bill (Of course not including tax on the phones, activation fee. The normal stuff you expect) We not have an over $350 bill thanks to these so called, "Professionals." Save yourself the time, money and stress and go to an actual Verizon Store. read more

WARNING: PLEASE DO NOT GIVE BUSINESS TO THIS LOCATION AND WIRELESS PLUS. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. BUYERS BEWARE!!! My mother came to this store location (Sunset & Alvarado) in mid February 2019 to pay for her and my father's cell phone bill. She was helped by an employee by the name of Rohan (skinny Indian, Pakistani, Bangladesh looking guy). He made an offer to my mom for a "FREE" tablet. My mother said no and wasn't interested but, Rohan persuades her to get it anyway saying it is "FREE". My mother has no clue about technology and is retired as well as my father. They both live in fixed incomes and are in their 70's. I told my mother not to use it and to just return it. March 2019 comes and their cell phone bill jumps from $89.72 to $134.40. (See photos) On April 1st, 2019 I go to Verizon (Sunset & Alvarado) to accompany my mother to speak with Rohan to disconnect the tablet from her account. Rohan tells me he cannot do anything since it's already implemented in her contract and tells me to go to an authorized Verizon location since they are a private location to resolve it. On April 4th, 2019 my mother and I go to an authorized Verizon store inside the Glendale Galleria to pay for her bill since we were shopping anyway. We asked the employee if he can remove the tablet from my mother's account and he told us he couldn't do anything since they were not the ones who activated the tablet. He told me that the tablet was activated on April 1st, 2019. So, why is it that I went to the Sunset & Alvarado location on April 1st to cancel the tablet and I go to the Glendale Galleria location on April 4th telling me the tablet was activated on April 1st??? I go back to the Sunset and Alvarado location after the Glendale Galleria looking for Rohan and the employee's there (William an Asian guy and Joe a Latino guy) assisted me telling me that Rohan wasn't in and that he would be out for 2 weeks because he is having surgery. Something is becoming suspicious now. They both tell me to call tomorrow and ask for Nick who is their district manager. It's April 5th, 2019 and I call the store and no one is answering. I tried several attempts to reach them and still no one is answering. I go ahead and drive to the Sunset & Alvarado location and I see Joe and Nick (Caucasian skinny scruffy ginger brown haired guy) and I tell Nick the situation. He knew the situation and when I told him about the change of dates about the tablet being activated he said he was aware and that he couldn't do anything about it and said it was probably an error. An error on who's part?!?! The customer's??? Nick was no help what's so ever and he just brushed me off. All I am asking for is to disconnect the tablet from my mother's plan. That's all. How hard is that? Taking advantage of an ELDERLY WOMAN who knows nothing about technology just to make a quick dollar. Talk about GREED of this company. Where's the honesty and compassion?! So, for my mother's sake and for everyone's sake, don't be a victim. Don't give any business to this establishment and to any WIRELESS PLUS locations. THIS IS NOT A VERIZON STORE. Do your research! It is far more expensive to get Verizon through this store than it is to get it through their website or a corporate store. They try to charge you for a SIM Card (Verizon does not) and want to charge $40 instead of $20 for your activation fee. They also don't tell you about rebates Verizon has through their website. If you need your SIM Card quickly, order online and set it for in-store pickup here. That way, they won't be able to charge you any of their extra-sneaky BS fees. Including the rebate, I saved $340 by NOT getting my service through this shop. read more

I had an awful experience here and was scammed into buying a tablet. While I was purchasing a new Pixel, I was told by the manager Rohan (now at the West Hollywood location) that there was a promotion for a free tablet. I didn't question it and happily walked out with a new Verizon account, a new Pixel phone, and my FREE tablet. Fast forward to a month later when I went to pay my bill and realized that the $350 tablet was on my bill. I was paying $14.58/month for this "free" tablet as well as $10/month to have the line on my account. I went back to the store and the manager, Rohan, kept trying to tell me ways how having the tablet was saving me money on my account and also kept giving me different "credits" on my account to help save me money. He refused to let me return the tablet because it was after the 14 day window. When I got home and looked at my next bill, none of those credits showed up. He had simply removed the insurance I was wanting to pay to make it look like I was spending less money. An important thing to know--this is NOT a Verizon Store, it is a Wireless Plus store that doesn't hold true to the same values as Verizon. The employees work on commission and will try to up-sell you. I spoke with Verizon customer service representatives and told them the information I was given at the store. They confirmed that most of the information I was told was not true and that indeed I was scammed into buying the tablet. Google search "verizon free tablet" and you will see many others who have faced the same thing. Despite what Wireless Plus employees said, Verizon is allowing me to return the tablet. Right after my frustrating conversation where I told the manager I felt I was being scammed, I was sitting in the parking lot in front of the store and overheard him getting a promotion from a higher up manager. The person giving him the promotion said these exact words "At first we weren't sure about you, but now I know you're in it to make our company money." I just can't believe how much I was taken advantage of at that store. Be cautious. Do your own research. Confirm a true Verizon customer service rep before falling for any promotions. Went in here to buy a phone. I saw one I liked and asked to buy it. The lady who was there alone told me they sold out. I asked if she can check if other stores have it because I like it so much. Writing a year after the fact as it's been a year of Verizon jerking me around. Was here last August about a new phone. The district manager conned me into accepting 3 devices (a tablet, a wi-fi hotspot, and Bluetooth for the car) "absolutely free of cost". I declined repeatedly and was assured there was no additional cost. Just sign here. The burden's on me for trusting the salesperson. Lo and behold: an extra $80 a month on our bills. Won't bore you with details, but these Verizon representatives are con artists and I'm being milked for devices I don't use. When I've called, they're "unable to do anything". So is corporate. Don't trust them. Don't sign anything extra. And don't bother with the Mr. Nice Guy district manager. I'm in customer service and we work with some sense of ethics and respect.
