To start the address on here is no longer open. After driving here I commuted to Van Nuys to their only open location now which is on Woodman Ave and Burbank Blvd. I dropped off my Apple Watch series3 to have the screen repaired. Everything worked fine prior to taking it to them to fix. The only thing was the screen was cracked in the lower left part of the watch. It should have been ready in 3hrs. I called several times to get updated and would receive the run around. It took them 9 days to repair it. I showed up unannounced, they had me wait about 15min. I received my watch with a rubberband holding it together. Was advised to remove it after 30min. After receiving my watch it started to die a lot faster then prior to taking it to them. My watched completely stopped working after 15 days. I went swimming with my watch which I'm supposed to be able to with the that series. I reached out they told me to bring it by. They do have a "90 day warranty". The job seemed half-assed. Again whenever I would call for an update again I would get a run around. I showed up 28 days later unannounced for them to tell me the watch was unrepairable. And the warranty wouldn't cover my watch since it was water damage. When I had picked up my watch from them the first time they didn't advise me in anything other than don't remove the rubberband after 30min. Looking at my watch it looks like it's not completely sealed. In my experience I think they're not experienced in fixing apple watch's. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come here looking for this type of service. read more

Negative stars if I could. Do not trust this place with your electronics. I brought my macbook in for liquid damage. After a week, calling for updates, they "still didn't know" if the motherboard was damaged. They finally determined the motherboard was damaged (i.e., machine is dead). When I picked up the computer, they didn't charge me, which I thought was nice, but strange since they'd done a service / spent time on it. I brought it to another shop for a second opinion, and they told me it was clear that Genius Lab had not addressed the issue quickly or thoroughly: the liquid was allowed to sit for days, hence giving up any chance of saving the machine. There were dried liquid spots on the bottom of the motherboard, showing that Genius Lab had not removed it to dry it out. They only sent me a few blurry photos of the top of the motherboard a week after I brought it in. So a) they didn't work on it until a week after I dropped it off, and b) they didn't bother drying it out. My friend also had a bad experience with his cell phone: when replacing a battery they somehow damaged the speakers. They blamed him / initially refused to fix it. When they finally agreed, it took days of repair time. Do not trust them with anything time-sensitive or critical. read more

I came in to repair broken glass on my S9+. I did not have a great experience here. I didn't receive my phone the same day as promised and I had to call them a few times for status updates. When I did receive my phone, I noticed it didn't work as well as before. The fingerprint reader seemed faulty and the home button now needed to be pressed extra hard in order to work. I could also notice ugly glue marks on the screen whenever it was reflected in the sun. On top of all this, they claimed they didn't have the free screen protector they offer for checking in. I was instead upsold $20 for a "better" screen protector which ended up peeling off that same week. They advertise a 90 day warranty. When I reached out to ask what it covered, I never received a response. I don't recommend this place. read more

Rather than executing a simple repair (to fix a broken headphone jack) for my phone, which worked perfectly fine other than this, they actually BROKE it to the point that it is un-useable. After dropping off my phone for the quick 30 minute fix, I went back only to find out that after the "repair" was made, they couldn't get my phone to turn on. They kept it to try and fix it for several more hours, but couldn't find out what went wrong. As I said before....my phone was totally fine and functioning before I dropped it off for the headphone issue. Nick gave me the cheapest quote out of other competitors in my area, and he was straight forward and just spoke like a business should to a potential client. So I gave them a shot. I brought my phone in without an appt. to get my charge port changed out due to it not charging all the time. My puppy knocked a glass of water onto my practically brand new Macbook and I was straight up panicking. It went black and wouldn't turn back on. Worse yet, it's midterms week. Excellent service. I found Genius Lab from all the other great reviews on Yelp and because I have passed by this place many times as I live close by. I needed a new SSD hard drive with more memory to replace the one in my Asus laptop. When I called Genius Lab, I first spoke with Sean (or possibly Shant based on the other reviews on here) who was extremely knowledgeable about SSD drives. He quoted me a very reasonable price to upgrade my hard drive and transfer all existing data on my current drive to the upgraded drive. He even recommended a hard drive and had the part in stock at a great price as well. He made it easy for me to decide that Genius Lab would handle the hard drive upgrade for me without any issues and assured me he could get my laptop back to me within 24 hours of dropping it off. Sure enough, the hard drive was replaced in less than a day and it works perfect. It is also worth mentioning that everyone in the shop seemed very friendly in addition to knowing their products and having great technical skills to provide great service. Nobody was able to help me and one store even told me there would be a 4-5 day 'processing time.' What?! I did a quick search on Yelp and found Genius Lab. I called up beforehand and told the guy what had happened and asked if he could help. He laughed and said 'of course.' I was feeling pretty dumb after walking my phone into the hot tub with me during a 4th of July BBQ (wouldn't recommend!) Needless to say my phone is my life (my job depends on calling, plus GPS is ubiquitous in LA) and after weeks without, I felt helpless. I even ordered a used phone that also didn't work for some reason adding insult to injury. I popped into this local shop to speak with them about my options and was just blown away by how helpful they all were. The price they quoted me (if they could fix it) was half of what my phone company would charge me for a non-warranty replacement, and only $20 if they couldn't fix it which is worth the answer. Seemed like a decent risk since they have good luck with Samsungs. Well the fact that I made a Yelp account just to give them a 5 Star should let you know how this turned out. John was the guy I owe my life to, he spoke with me and worked on the phone, and after a replacing a few parts got my Galaxy S6 working again.
