Twice I've come to this store for a simple service request, and twice I've been told they couldn't complete it unless I upgraded my phone. The first time, I let it go because another rep did advocate with 800‑Verizon to ensure I had service before leaving. However, after yesterday, I will not be returning to this location. If you're making a purchase, you'll likely walk out happy. But if you're not giving them a sale, be prepared to advocate for yourself. I was told my SIM tray had a "previous issue" that prevented activation -- even though the phone was clearly reading the SIM. I drove all the way to Short Pump (Apple Store) based on that information. Nothing was wrong with my phone or the SIM tray. Two hours later, an escalated 800‑Verizon support rep had my phone fully operational over the phone with basic troubleshooting. I don't appreciate having my time wasted or being given inaccurate information. I'm giving 3 stars because I do believe the staff try, but it feels like their primary objective is selling, not service. That may work for most customers, but I'm not most customers. read more

***Update*** Just got an email with an additional box added to my account, four duplicate chargers for cable, another HBO Max, another DVR, and three internet chargers. Customer service cannot see it and says when the boxes come in return them to the store and I won't be charged. Hands down this is the worst Verizon store. Anytime you make a plan change or pick up equipment nothing works, this is my third time with equipment that has the previous user's information. This time it is in Spanish, the phone tech couldn't figure it out and this was three hours later on the phone just to get the cable to work. I finally got the cable to work in english on my own and the apps are still in Spanish. I went in and Deven Flowers helped me switch over 4 phone lines from T-mobile to Verizon. He was knowledgeable and though he said it would take 20 minutes, we were there for 2 hours and 40 minutes but he got it done. My bill was agreed on and we were given instructions as to what to do going forward. I was also told that everything would transfer over. It did but I had to log back into over 40 apps I use on my phone and reset passwords I didn't recall, etc. Still, fine. It's done. I get the first bill that says it's passed due in 3 days on line and it was DOUBLE what we agreed it would be! Also, we have 1 bar around town all day???!!! What the heck? My husband and I both had a difficult time logging into MyVerizon with over 10 attempts between us, it wasn't working. The biggest kick in the butt was, I spoke to Raven, the Store Manager on that Sunday after the Thursday night we updated our phones and told him the problems, he indicated he'd have Deven call me on Monday. Nothing so I called Deven on Monday, Tuesday and then Thursday and texted him twice. I also on Monday called Kaela Sorenseon as well since I didn't reach Deven and no return call from her either. On Friday I called in again and Deven was on his lunch break but answered as Hi Mrs. Martinez so he knew my number but hadn't bothered to return my call in 5 days. He got back from lunch and did call me. We were on the phone for over 30 minutes and I gave him all the items to write down that he couldn't work out on the phone at the moment and he indicated he would call me back with solutions to these. No word back on Friday, Sat, Sun. Finally on Monday, I call in again and leave a vm and send a text message. I also call regular 1-800 # for Verizon. The Hull Street store has no direct phone line I'm told. You have to go in or you can ONLY reach a Team Member by their direct phone. I texted and called on Tuesday and now it's Wednesday 3/13/25 and I'm writing this review. It's so unfortunate. Due to lack of follow through on promises I'm left dealing with these 4 phones that have 1 bar each and double the cost of the bill agreed upon! The saga continues! read more

Idle, Rude employees. We went in. There was one salesperson helping another couple, no other customers and 3 employees at the front desk. They got our number and said we were next. We waited for about 15-20 minutes with 3 idle employees at the counter, so we started to leave. They asked if we found everything we wanted and we said no, we were never helped. The guy who checked us in said we were next in line for the next sales rep. We asked if any of them could help us and he repeated the same thing about the sales rep in a super rude tone. read more

I had the best experience here today. I called and talked to Kevin which was amazing and helped walk me through everything I needed to order my new iPhone 15 pro max. They didn't have any in stock but he sent me a link so that I could order through my phone and have it delivered to me. Plus he will get credit which is what I wanted because he was so kind and patient with me. The best part was I didn't even have to go in the store and wait for ever for someone to help me. I have done business with this store for a couple of years. The service is great and the folks are knowledgeable about the products and services. I gave two stars because every time I go there, we have to wait. We are greeted promptly and you give your name, verizon cell number for the account and nature of the visit, then you are put in " line". I do like that you get text messages regarding your wait. I go past several other Verizon stores to patronize this one because of the knowledgable sales people. This store always seems busy when I am there. read more

What an utter waste of time and energy going to this, or any Verizon store I've ever been to, because these associates know jacksh*t. I'm sure they're not getting paid a decent wage, and the quality shows. When asked about canceling my plan, I actually had an associate say don't worry about being late on what's owed on my phone. My phone refused to turn on this morning. I tried the Apple support website; nothing they suggested helped. (Don't worry - I'm going to give them a negative review too!) I tried the Verizon support website. Nada. I tried calling the local store to make an appointment and got nothing but a busy signal. I guess I'll have to drop in and surprise them (and camp out there until they help me.) Update: I did drop by and the employees were helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. So the customer service was good. The guy said he'd put the screen protector on my new phone. He also told me to take out the SIM card from my old phone and place on the new one and to save the blank SIM for emergencies (shrugs). After he helped me in choosing a phone, retrieving it from the back and ringing us up: we left and realized he didn't even open the phone to put screen protector on. They don't bother to open the box to help with set up. So when I got home and tried to set it up myself I had issues saying my phone wasn't activated. After calling Verizon and being sent a link to talk with a tech coach who helped me with this fix I was relieved. The tech support was of more help than the sales guy. Tried to sell me a phone case and I wasn't interested he was like "really?", yeah because they are overpriced. read more

I went in to ask if they had a plan for seniors similar to T Mobil. We had 2 existing Verizon lines we were considering switching to T Mobile. But we wanted to stay with Verizon if they were close to competitive. Well Tiffany was the rep we ended up with. In less than 5 minutes her attitude and rudeness convinced us to leave and drive directly to T Mobile and change our service from Verizon. We tried to ask a couple simple questions like, do you have a plan for seniors? She wouldn't answer us, instead she kept demanding we give her information first. Now she left such a terrible feeling about how Verizon treats it's long term, faithful customers I will now look at changing my home Fios service as well, and my other cell line. So disappointed. Sam (the manager) made a point to let us now he had been manager there for 20 years. Not sure that store has even been there for 20 years. Regardless of that, there was zero effort made to try to accommodate us regarding the purchase of a new phone with a trade in. Since the "fine print", which we were informed of when we got to the store knocked us out of the circle of possibility to get a free phone as advertised on TV and on their posters, there was zero effort made to explore other options. For Verizon customers, this mini store provides a lot of assistance. They do have a lot of products to choose from and it boasts a lot of accessories for your new phone. There is a kiosk for bill pay, which is great if you want a copy of your bill pay in-hand that the other area locations do not have. The service is okay- however, the salesman are a bit pushy when you are just browsing for an upgrade while waiting in line for your phone repairs. Saturday's are usually the busiest times so it is not wise to go then if you are looking for expedient service. Parking is decent for the lot that is shared with the entire strip-mall. I have to admit that I was holding out my review until my return trip to Verizon today. I purchased a phone yesterday at the Midlothian Turnpike store and my photos did not transfer over.. Well 2nd day in a row the service was exceptional. I was concerned because this store seems to always be a mess from the parking lot to the inside. I walked right in and was greeted and was helped immediately( today I got there around 11:00am.. #winning.. The rep walked me through going back and retrieving my photos and it worked. Maybe the layout change helped with the store organization. Thanks Verizon.. 2 days in a row great service.. I arrived around 10:45am and the store was empty. If you're going in to sign up for Verizon home services or to deal with anything home service related, do not deal with a big guy named Dave. We went in trying to sign up for cable and Internet. We asked a lot of questions because we were getting ready to sign a contract. I don't know about you, but I like to make sure I understand the contract I'm signing before I sign it. He was so rude! He was annoyed with the questions and gave us sarcastic answers. He even asked if we were stupid at one point. I do not enjoy having my intelligence questioned. After hearing him basically call us names and bitch and moan for 20 minutes, we left the store without signing up for cable and internet. As we left, he yelled that he hoped we "get screwed" wherever we decide to sign up. He was downright cruel and my husband and I are really nice people! It was uncalled for. As for the cell sales? I've never had a problem. I've bought two new phones from this location before and had great service. I wouldn't put one star, but I'll never get over the Dave situation. read more

Usually I would not take time to write a review but in the case of my recent experiences with Verizon, I feel it is my duty to warn others. Bought HUM two weeks ago for my wife. Wouldn't charge or work properly. Took it back. Verizon charged me for use. Should have heeded the horrible reviews. Bought Gear S2 watch for birthday present.Signed up for 2 year service. Was asked to sign order stating I owed Verizon $236.00. I had just paid my bill earlier that day and had zero balance. They said it was a computer glitch and to sign anyway. I refused and asked for the manager, who said he didnt know why it would show the wrong balance and not to worry. He reluctantly agreed to initial my order stating the bill was incorrect. I was told the watch would arrive in approximately 1 week. 10 days now, no watch. Went by Verizon to check. Told will not ship until mid December. No email or notification was sent me about this. I cancelled order, asked for a printout and they said they would send email. 24 hours now, no email. Had to tell my wife the "surprise " gift she had been anticipating would not be arriving. Our son had sent her some wrist bands and other accessories for the S2 from Amazon, which we will now have to send back. Just one more big FUBAR with the incompetant and undertrained people you deal with at Verizon. Moral: If you need a cell phone, or other wireless service, look elsewhere. read more

I am glad that I've been telling customers in my restaurant to get rid of Verizon and switch to any other phone and internet companies! The most regrettable thing that I've ever did was I signed the 2 year contract with Verizon for my business!! Everything is terrible. Customer service on the phone is extremely terrible!! Ask for anyone other than Abby. I had a phone ordered to pick up in store. Her customer service was awful. There was an issue with billing in which she activated the phone before it was solved causing more billing issues for myself. When trying to resolve the problem she played her phone smiling instead of dealing with the issue. The manager Tecia did her best to handle the situation and deal with this employee. Been here an hour waiting to be called....75 minutes in another rep came over with pad to see why I was here but could not help. Only put me un que...80 minutes in the female rep came over with tablet to see why I was here. She informed me that they cannot see information on the account .it only states sensitive national information. She did give a number to call. Guess I should have worn more business like attire to get help sooner. Those dressed nicely do get assisted sooner. Sorry I stopped by to help an elderly couple with home repairs. The worst experiences with Verizon is just a continuing downward spiral every time I come in contact with anyone associated with Verizon Wireless - ironically, the customer service reps and supervisors being the worst. A Verizon associate messed up processing my sisters phone upgrade and purchase of a new iPad. As a result, Verizon has charged me over $400 for a 'buyout agreement' when I switched to Sprint after refusing to deal with Verizon anymore. That buyout agreement should be under my sisters number, not my then iPhone 4s that was paid on for over a year and a half. I was on the phone with a Verizon " SUPERVISOR" for over 2 hours who couldn't give me any reason for not refunding my money. His name Kevin Bloom should NOT call himself a supervisor.. supervisors resolve issues, help the customer, exert effort toward their job and this guy Kevin Bloom just basically read a Verizon script. After 2 hours, he told me that he needs 48hrs to look into this issue and he will contact me back. I have emailed him several times and there has been no response. I see now there was no intention of contacting me back and that it's a Verizon ploy to get customers off the phone. I am now spending the majority of my days emailing and calling Verizon trying to get this issue resolved, no response from Kevin Bloom. It is just absurd to me that a multi million dollar maybe billion dollar company can take a person's hardworking $400 and not refund it after a plethora of information presented proving why. read more
