Lily wasn't over bearing like most salesmen she told you want you needed to know and if you said no she moved on. She was so dope we even sent a friend over to her a week after. Located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. Greeted as I came in. Store is clean and seems well stocked. I ordered a phone online, and was hoping a representative would be able to assist me. I was told it was $30 to assist me to move my information from my old phone to my new phone. I'm 60 and have been with Verizon for over 20 years. What happened to common courtesy? Or just good old fashioned customer service for a longtime loyal customer. This phone cost $1100 plus taxes and upgrade fees, how much more does Verizon want from me? A lot of people working there while providing very little assistance (talking amongst each other), long wait time (while watching employees talk to each other) once helped, the person 'assisting' me walked me thru the steps to take opposed to doing them on the device herself (like former employee did in the past). This location feels very much like a 'I'll help if it's worth me time' type if feel. I dont recommend if you truly need help. read more

I recently visited the Verizon store in Mira Loma, hoping for a smooth transition from AT&T to Verizon. I scheduled an appointment, expecting to be in and out within 30 minutes, but what should have been a simple process ended up taking over two frustrating hours and a day with no wifi. Amber Varela assisted me and initially seemed helpful, informing me about a promotion where I could trade in my phone and my son's phone in exchange for a gift card to pay them off. Since I dislike change, I opted to keep my phone but decided to trade in my son's. She asked for a copy of my AT&T bill, which I emailed to her. She successfully transferred my son's phone with no issues. However, when she attempted to switch my service from AT&T to Verizon, she ran into problems. She was able to transfer my phone number, but after disconnecting my service with AT&T, she realized she couldn't connect my phone to Verizon's network. After an hour of frustration, she told me I needed to visit AT&T to resolve the issue. At this point, I was incredibly frustrated. I had walked into the store with working service and left without any. Since AT&T was in the same shopping center, I went there immediately. The AT&T associates were very helpful and informed me that my phone couldn't be transferred to Verizon because I still had a balance on it. I had to pay it off before AT&T would unlock my phone. I returned to Verizon to let Amber know what had happened. She never informed me that my phone would be locked if I had an outstanding balance if she had, I would have traded it in, just like I did with my son's phone. Instead, I wasted two hours, left without service, and had to go back to AT&T to open a new line before eventually transferring to Verizon. To make matters worse, I went a full day without Wi-Fi, which I rely on for work and to stay in touch with my daughter who lives out of state. The most infuriating part? As I left the store, still frustrated, I saw Amber and the other associates laughing together. It felt incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. I later went to the Verizon store in Rancho Cucamonga, where I had a completely different experience. Diego was patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely willing to help. The professionalism in Rancho Cucamonga was a 10/10, while the Mira Loma store was an absolute 0. The employees at the Mira Loma location were unprofessional, gossiping about customers and discussing their social media accounts instead of assisting people properly. They clearly need serious customer service training and better knowledge of the products they sell. I will never return to the Mira Loma Verizon store. My iphone12 has been acting up for about 4 months; not charging properly, slow, memory full, etc. I brought it in to this location at 11am, we were greeting immediately by 2 employees who were pleasant and polite. Christian was the one that ended up assisting me, he looked at my phone, looked my account up and advised that I qualified for an upgrade (if I was interested) so we let him show us and decided to go with it. The entire visit and process took about 30 to 40 minutes. We were in by 11 and out before noon. He transferred all of my info and did the transaction super quick. I believe The key to these Verizon stores is, If You luck out and get assistance from an employee that actually knows what they're doing and likes helping people, that's not easy to find these days. From all the reviews on most Verizon Yelp stores, people are very disappointed and frustrated with hired help! Again, if you are fortunate to get a Verizon customer service member that gives a crap, you probably lucked out. Lillian Baker, our Verizon representative at this location showcased the ladder with the utmost respect, value add and courtesy displayed I have come across in a while! We moved our cell phone carrier to Verizon and were wowed from the time we were greeted and initiated our conversation. We had a more complex transaction and were porting 4 lines from 2 different carriers to Verizon. Though Lillian seemed new to the world of telco and sales, she had great product knowledge, understood the nuances of what each client may bring to the table, and looked at a problem as an opportunity to come up with a catered solution. During times when she had doubts about something we asked, she would reach out to her tenured management to get the right answer instead of just guessing. Lillian even helped us save $30/m by adding an extra line to our business account. Something I was amazed by! I get more and am paying less? What!? It was super refreshing to find such an amazing service offered from a corner retail store! The culture seems to trickle down from upper store management where attention is focused on service not sales, value not numbers. The manager of the store was extremely patient and skillfully answered all our million questions. Thanks to this team, we feel we made the right decision to move our service to Verizon, and hope other stores can learn a thing or 2 from piloting such amazing service and experience! It's not only cheaper but there is an amazing Verizon business support team that is dedicated to helping only business customers. 2. The manager at this location is completely rude. I was inside for all of 30 seconds. As soon as I walked in I was told "You need to put a mask on or you need to leave". I replied, "Do you have one to prove to me?" He said, "No and if you don't have one you need to leave". Then once I returned to the store with a mask, he refused to even assist me. Don't let the busy shopping center fool you. The Verizon store was not busy on Sunday. I was immediately greeted and helped by Kenya. Kenya helped me with pricing iPhones. I really wanted a "deal." Kenya made no promises, but kept saying, "I'll check," and he did. Once I settled on a phone, he figured out a way to transfer all of my information from my old, refurbished phone to the new phone. Even though my battery had died and it would no longer charge, my new phone was ready within 30 minutes! I hope to not need a phone for several years, but when I do, I will go back to this store. Horrible store experience. Staffs were not very knowledgable. Went there to do the upgrade on 4 phones with the Black Friday promotion and afterward do the content transfers between the phones. Everything went well and until they gave me a summary of the order and new monthly plan cost. They automatically added the device protection plans for $60 a month. I told them i did want it the plan but was told that it was mandatory for the free phone upgrade promotion. It should have been just highly recommended and not mandatory on the device protection plan but they elected to charge it to my plan anyway if i wanted the upgrade. I refused to accept the protection plan knowing that what they told me was incorrect as i have seen it online the option to decline it when adding the phone to shopping cart. i left after wasting 1.5 hrs of my time. Got home and went online and was able to order the upgrade for 1 line just to test it out without having to buy the device protection plan. Did the order for store pickup. After i picked up the phone, i asked about the content tranfer and the lady told me they can do it store can do it for me or i can do it at home and should i have issue i can come back in for assistance. I decided to wait in the queue. After 1.5 hr, it was my turn. One of the rep took me over to the table and told me that it would cost me $30 to do it content transfer. Why did it cost nothing earlier when i tried doing the 4 phone upgrades? If it was going to cost $30, then they should have told me up front so i didnt have to wait 1.5hrs. I spent a total of 3hrs at the store for nothing. I would recommend people to just do your upgrade online and save the headache from this store location. read more
