A HUGE shoutout to Kevin, great service, friendly and very knowledgeable. I went in Monday 7/17/23 to see why activating my new Apple Watch was so difficult. Verizon on-line said my bill would increase from $165 to over $300 if I added the Watch. Kevin quickly looked at my account, got me connected to the in-store WiFi so we could make the adjustments and added the watch for the $10 a month, plus a small activation fee which I expected. I'll definitely go see Kevin when I upgrade my iPhone in the coming year! read more

This is a review for the Shop at Vineyard Shopping Center. All the above average reviews are at least one year old. Maybe they had good customer service, but they absolutely don't now. Brian the Manager has terrible customer service. I bought an iPhone 16 Pro online, when I went to pick it up it was sold to another customer. Even after the order was cancelled it showed that I picked up the phone. Over a week of calling every day and over 4 hours of phone calls, I finally got it rectified. This is the same reason Costco dropped Verizon, many of the employees were committing theft, causing complaint after complaint (google why Costco dropped Verizon) and you will see this to be true. Beware of Fernando, he took my iPhone as a trade in and told me i would get $800 credit applied to my upgrade. That day I got home went through my paper work and realized there was no credit applied. Went back the next day and there was "no documentation" of my trade and theres nothing they can do. Long story short, took a week of workin with the district manager to get my credit. I personally think they are all in on it and target people that are not too concerned when signing the documents. There was no disciplinary actions towards him. read more

I have gone to this store a couple of times and prefer to work with human beings vs. AI, machines, websites, etc. I am old and I need patience. Alexis and Courtney as well as Jorge were all very helpful to me and did not exhibit exasperation or impatience with this Boomer. I knew what I wanted to buy and what services I needed, so selection was not a concern of mine. Value is very good in the sense that there's no interest or extra charge for financing a device. I had a very old version of iPhone and was able to get a new one quickly, they transferred my data for a very reasonable fee and an even MORE reasonable amount of time, and I went back to purchase an additional accessory and they knew exactly what I wanted. Seriously uncomfortable. The two sales employees at the front (lady with cherry red hair and what i think was a newer employee cuz she seemed to be in training) were at each other the whole time, making snarky remarks to each other. Thought they were gonna throw hands any second. The third employee was wearing an android shirt and really talking smack about the iphone i was buying. Like dude, mind your business, I dont care your opinion on my purchase. Meanwhile someone had a dog in the backroom that was barking and crying to be let out the whole time. It was SUPER annoying and unprofessional. Im sure it probably had been there all day. To be honest the entire place was sketch. Its like they just hired whoever applied. The place smelled so bad like body odor and was muggy hot. Then to top it off the lady somehow messed up and checked off that i had picked up the online order phone but then couldnt ring the order up so she couldnt give it to me. So i said just cancel it and ill buy it outright. Nope gotta ring the order up then cancel and she couldnt get that to work. So i ended up calling verizon tech support theres now a ticket # on it and so i went to another verizon to buy it there. Nope, my phone is still attached to the phone i couldnt pick up and it could be 3 days before they can undo what she did. Seriously WTF IS GOING ON AT THAT STORE?? NEVER GOING THERE EVER AGAIN. If management is as productive and business oriented as the employees are, i sincerely doubt theyll give a crap about my crap review. You have been warned. read more

I had to Create a yelp because I am used to using google reviews but it was a necessity because of the amazing service that I received. I was worried about visiting the store with everything going on but once I arrived I felt so safe and well taken care of! My phone had gotten stolen and since I am a teacher I needed a new one A.S.A.P. A young lady named Brisma helped me and chose me a great Samsung touch screen phone and was even able to get all my data back. She also helped me choose a really pretty phone cover! I am so pleased with the service I will definitely be returning the next time my husband needs a new device. read more

Pretty disappointed. I came to this store a couple times after my move to Morgan Hill, and it was pleasant. I recently went to upgrade both mine and my husbands phone and was helped by what looked like a Store Manager and a sales rep. I wish I had names, but alas, you could tell who's who based off your experience. The Store Manager did most of the account stuff on the computer, and the sales rep was hands on with my old phone and the new one to clear and activate yada yadaa. I was asked if I wanted the insurance- I have always declined and never needed it. So I said "no." Once everything was about done, I noticed the sales rep had not reset my old phone and it was sitting with my background lit up and everything as he was basically saying we were done. I asked if he could wipe my phone out before I left, and nervously he agreed. I watched and waited until the screen went black and the Apple logo emerged. Then I left. I get in my car, unlock my new phone and notice in the call log I literally never used to be a Santa Cruz phone number??? Did the rep just call his phone from my new phone to get my #?? I dismiss it and wind up back at this store due to *cough*cough* INSURANCE CHARGES on my $300+ bill. And for a faulty camera cover. The same rep is there, but this time I came with my husband. He refused to help with the camera cover, and was extremely rude and dismissive- as if he had better things to do. I then asked about my bill- he tells me it's "policy" to add insurance on the phones for the 1st bill in case you need to return it, then you're supposed to call Verizon and have it removed?? I was pretty exhausted at this point so I decided I'd wait until Monday and call. I get on the phone with an agent today and am told there is NO SUCH POLICY- if I decline insurance and I break the phone it is at my own discretion. No shit. Needless to say, I provided them with the store information and filed a complaint against the sales rep. The agent was very kind and polite and fixed my issue. There are still good people that work for Verizon, but unfortunately, you won't find em in MH. read more

I came into this Verizon just to open up my own plan and it didn't even take me 2 weeks to come to the conclusion that it was the worst decision and investment I've ever made. My experience with the manager Chris J was piss poor. As someone who also works in the tech industry and has a career in sales I can say without a doubt his practices are completely unethical. I was told I could upgrade my phone from a Pixel 3 XL to a Pixel 7 and procure a tablet and Google watch at a heavily discounted price given the seasonal sales they have going on during the Holidays. The only catch was that I also had to pay the sales tax on these items. While it seemed too good to be true, I made it unequivocally clear that I would only take advantage of this offer if I could use my 1 line/plan for the tablet of watch. He assured me this wouldn't be a problem and that I would only have to pay the discounted price and sales tax to get the 2 extra devices, but it turns out I was under the false pretense (that I was only signed up for Verizon's $80 plan). 10 days later I get a bill in the mail saying I'm being charged $315 for 3 different lines; the phone, the tablet and the watch. That's when I realized I was manipulated into signing up for a deal that was going to cost even more for me to get out of. I went back into the store and asked Chris to line out the pricing for me. I will applaud him in the fact that he's an expert in giving ambiguous and redundant explanations, but to no avail I was given very little clarity and support around my situation. I should have known something was wrong when they didn't print or email me my receipt after I initially signed up. Basically I was told if I had a problem with the cost I had to take it up with Verizon Corporate. I asked him if there was someone else I could be directed to that could provide better customer support, but he said he was the manager that runs the store and that no one was above him. Instead of fighting him on his stance I chose to wash my hands of the situation completely by returning the watch and tablet which put me out an extra $115. When I asked why I was getting charged so many hidden fees he once again told me to take it up with Verizon Corporate and that he's just a reseller. Based on the conversation, I personally think this is just his excuse for not actually having a legitimate reason as to why I'm getting charged so much extra. I mean hey, it only works in his benefit when he's making commission off your hard earned money. It seems like this reseller store operates off a scam of a business model. If you're looking to open up a line, plan, upgrade your phone, tablet, digital devices or even just get a new phone, case or screen protector etc I would not do business here. You're better off going/switching to T-Mobile, which will be my next course of action if there is no recourse read more

Wow! This place is horrible. Had nothing but problems activating a phone with Verizon and found out they never set the line up before mailing the SIM card. They had me go to Go Wireless to pick up a new SIM card. The lady working there this evening handed us our card and when we asked them to put the SIM card in the phone to make sure it was working, we were told they didn't have any sim poppers. It's a wireless store and you don't have a SIM Popper? Not even a paper clip? How on earth do you sell phones if you can't remove or add SIM cards. Worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. Do better Go Wireless and Verizon. read more

I don't even know where to begin! I went in today to switch over my prepaid account to a normal one so I could purchase a new iPhone XR. Well of course with my luck the customer support lines were experiencing very high wait times, I worked with Jonathon L. He was so incredibly patient with the whole process knowing I was so tired from my day, he went on multiple lines to try and get the process to speed up on my approval, he went ABOVE AND BEYOND to work with me and take care of everything! I have never had anyone from any of my phone service providers deliver such outstanding customer service. I highly recommend going here and to HIM for anything you need! Thank you again Jonathon! I asked if the store was open and they pointed to a sign that said Out To Lunch - Back at 3:30. What????? Only one person running a Verizon store?? My wife and I purchased two Samsung S9+ phones here November 23 and switched from AT&T to Verizon as well due to the good deal Verizon had for switched customers. The good: we are happy with the phones and the staff did a good job of transferring all our data from the old phones to the new phones. The bad: when we were done it felt like we had dealt with timeshare salesmen due to lack of transparency. Specific example: we were told glass screen protectors which were normally $80 were on sale for $40. Turns out the way they got from $80 to $40 was by waiving a "set up fee" that was never mentioned (as opposed to the activation fee which they did tell us about) and a coupon that will later show up on our bill for in store purchases. None of this came to light until I got home and reviewed the emailed receipt. Lesson learned: even if trading in phones which we did, do not make any in store purchases other than the phone itself. Use the trade in to pay the taxes on the phones. The instore merchandise can be purchased on Amazon for 25-30% of what they charge in the store. And, be sure to review your bill in full and make sure everything makes sense. read more

Save your time and go to a true Verizon store. The employees were polite but not trained and very in knowledgeable. First we wanted to buy a SIM card - they didn't know how to do that. Then, we were looking at relatively inexpensive phones, they were out. I sat for a few minutes and then asked them if they could call another store. They said the first one did t answer and the 2nd has it - in Gilroy. I looked up on my phone, found a real Verizon store in Morgan Hill, called them and they had phone. He asked me good questions about my cell phone usage and activity: I am 50ish, so i dont need to be staring at videos or social media or any of that. I need the internet to search, use apps like google maps, etc. and email. After assessing my situation, he set me up in about 15 minutes, and was very knowledgeable about all the options I had. He is an an extremely good listener and gave me great advice on the best phone for my budget and usage scenarios. Best customer service! My iphone5 was dying on me and they helped me with the process of getting a new phone and not losing my original data plan. Very friendly staff and the manager really emphasizes customer service. While I was there a customer who was still using a flip phone and appeared to not be tech savvy was treated like he was the most important customer there. Was going to leave Verizon because a few weeks back I had a horrible experience in the Gilroy Verizon store near outlets. The manager not only charged me a re-stocking fee for a product that was explained to me incorrectly by her staff, but also refused to help me with data fees in which I had the product less than 24hrs. I never have good experiences with any Verizon stores I go to, but yesterday was a life changer. A few week ago I went in to order my iPhone 10. Got the call this week that it came in. Yesterday I went to go pick it up and had the most wonderful experience with Jeremy and unsure of the managers name, but they were great.
