After an absolute terrible experience at a "Verizon Authorized Retailer", I came to this Verizon Wireless store and wow was the experience completely different! I came to the store to re-activate my account that was placed on hold while I was stationed overseas. Ms. Melissa truly took the time to ensure I was taken care of. She provided absolute quality customer service. We had a few issues activating my phone, but she conducted multiple troubleshooting attempts and ensured I did not leave the store without my account activated. Thank you Melissa for the amazing customer service you provided! I highly recommend coming to this Verizon store vice any of the "Verizon Authorized Retailer" stores. read more

I would give this business a -0 if I could. There were multiple associates sitting around chatting with each other and when told what we need help with, rather than helping they told us we needed to call customer service when they could have easily just helped us in person. All they want is profit in this store. Because we aren't buying and had an issue they just tried pass us off. I don't recommend anyone to come here. It wasn't like this before Covid and their renovation. New facelift but bad customer service all around. read more

I had an interaction with Slater, who informed me they are the store manager, and it was absolutely one of my worst in recent history. I was sold the wrong size IPad screen protector by that store and simply didn't realize that at the time. Over $60.00 and the box was never even opened. I went in for a charging issue and the problem was the USB C cable which came with new IPad was no longer working. I asked if they'd replace the cord, and "no, go to Apple" was the response. I asked, if you aren't willing to reimburse me for this screen protector could you just save me from having to drive out to the Apple Store by just giving me the $20 charging cable? No. I told them that they might consider that to be a gesture of good customer service. They were upset because, they said, I was yelling at them. I most certainly was not. I had been a loyal customer w/this Verizon branch for over 12yrs. My phone had been stolen & I had frozen my account. I had already finished my contract, my phone paid in full; & yet Verizon kept billing me for a phone that I reported stolen & a contract which I had completed. They said it was so that I could keep my same number, even though I no longer had a phone! I went in one day to get a new iPhone & pay for it in full in cash. There were no customers in the store, & yet the guard did not open the was not greeted w/a hello & the employees were just standing around. I went over to a desk & asked for help. The manager directed me to the next desk where the employee was more than rude. I explained what had happened to my previous phone. He had trouble pulling up my account, even though I had been w/them for over 12yrs. To relieve the tension, I asked the employee if he ever smiled. I was smiling at him at the time, being jovial. He responded, "When there is something to smile about". How rude. Then he gritted his teeth and smirked at me and said, "There! Is that better"? I politely said, "No, & I do not appreciate the condescending attitude either". I let the manager know how rudely I was treated. He asked me if I wanted someone else to help me. I told him no, perhaps another day; but that I had come into their store to pay in cash, in full for a new iPhone. And that I would take my business elsewhere. I have not been back since. Verizon Wireless on Military Blvd in Norfolk is pretty typical of any cellular phone store. I just wanted to go in for a quick second and look around at the different phones and get a feel for how they worked. The person working there immediately came up to me asking for help, which was nice, but I told him I was just there to look around for a few. He kept trying to talk me into buying different things which I was really looking to do at the time, and I understand his position BUT sometimes you don't want to be talked to the whole time you're in a store. Eventually I told him that I wasn't going to be purchasing anything that day and I was just there to look. After that he let me browse in peace. I don't normally buy from Verizon stores and do my purchasing on line but it is nice to be able to go in and see the actual products. read more

This place is terrible. Customer service is horrible!! I asked for the "cheapest prepaid or postpaid" plan for a smartphone I received as a gift. The male agent tried to upsell me on some garbage for about $100 per month. I challenged this noting the TV adds for about $45 per month. He said that was unlimited talk and text but "no data." I challenged the "no data" statement, and he said is was only 500 MB of data. 500 MB is NOT no data. So stupid. Not everybody needs 1 GB or more of data, especially if you have wifi at home and at work. So dishonest. read more

I am heavily dependent on performance based on consumer review rather than a company blasting away how good they are. That being said, I drove to this location last night to purchase a new phone by using their edge program. Waiting for about thirty minutes I finally got a sales agent and explained to him I would like to get a different phone since I'm having some issues (5c) that can't be resolved. After explaining, the rep said I couldn't keep my current loyalty plan and do the edge program also I would have to trade my 5c in for the new galaxy s5. So after learning the details, I opted to leave after I gave him my number so he could reach me when an galaxy s5 becomes available. Next day, I received a call from the same rep explaining to me that he dug around and found that I was right about keeping the loyalty plan and I can opt for the edge program. So I drove all the way to the store greeted by the same person he suggested he would explain everything that would happen during the process. In the middle of him looking at my account, he again tells me that I'm not eligible for the edge program! (I'm thinking, why the hell did you just call me saying that I could?) at this point I was livid and told him to go away and get me the manager. The manager comes and explained to me that I am not eligible until my contract runs out and if I want the galaxy s5, I can pay the full retail price $600 plus trade in my current iPhone 5c! After hearing that, I said thank you and I'm going over to AT&T. His reply was great, good for you, have a nice day! (All of this after verifying with a sales and tech rep last Friday afternoon.) read more

Terrible service they shut our Internet off we called to find out why they claim that me or my wife requested it to be shut off because we were going with a different provider called telecom me and my wife have never heard of them before. Then to get reconnected they kept wanting us to bundler we got switch from one person to another wanting us to bundle over and aver. when they said that the Internet was restore it wasn't and they would have to send a tech out to look at it. We received his confirmation email that he was going to show up then he didn't show up we called Verizon they said they could not get a tech out today. Went by today to get an IPhone SE. Greeted as soon as I come in the store. Saw 3 associates behind one counter, another counter was had a customer being helped and I saw one other customer in the store waiting to be helped. The greeter had me check in with what I needed and told me someone will be with me shortly. So ten minutes later, one of the associates that were helping no one come over to help us. I asked for the SE, 16GB, rose IPhone. He had to go check the back to see if he has any in stock. Comes back within 2 minutes and said they have none in stock and could order one for me and it would be in, in a little over a month from now. I said no thanks, I'll check elsewhere. He then says everyone else is sold out as well. So, if he knew this Then why not place a sign over the display saying "sold out, over 30 days to order" and why did he have to check the back to see if he had any in stock? Really? I need to start looking for another service provider. I'm sure I can get better service elsewhere. read more
