Wow, best place to go to if you want to be made to wait almost 2 hours and have the sales rep pay bare minimum attention to you during the entire process. Every time we have visited this location, we were never checked in until after 10-15 minutes of already being in the store, and then our time was wasted with no resolution. Is it supposed to take multiple visits and 2 hours in one sitting to upgrade a phone and still not have an upgraded phone? We bought it a free months ago at a Verizon store. Rep Nayyar said nothing they can do. Wouldn't even look up when I purchased it. Said she couldn't. Said I should call Apple. Might as well buy accessories at Apple for all the help you won't get here. She seemed bothered about having to help at all. The location on route 18 in east Brunswick is much more on the ball. If you come to this store I suggest waiting for someone who actually doesn't mind doing their job. Asked to fix my location (near me now gets wrong county). They had a buy 1 get 1 offer for their iPhones and they added without my permission the insurance coverage when i specifically said no. Then 2 months later I get charged for the free phone and was on customer service for 1.5 hours figuring out why. This place is a nightmare. Do not shop here. An employee and the manager both refused to honor the Iphone 13 trade-in deal on July 1st. Falsely claiming the deal ended June 30th and only offered $500 for my Iphone 11 pro max. The web site still says it's running and I just watch an ad on tv for this "supposed" ended deal. Had to call customer support and had them honor the deal over the phone despite this stores attempt to rip us off for a few hundred bucks. So I do qualify for the full $800 trade-in and the Iphone 13 trade-in deal is still going on, according to corporates customer service. Never trust liars do not shop here. read more

Probably one of the worst Verizon retail locations that I've ever been to. Please do not come here as they are a bunch of scammers who probably teach their customer service representatives to sneak in random costs into your monthly bill. I came to this location in December 2019 for a buy 1 get 1 free offer they had on their newest iPhones. I specifically told the customer service rep at checkout to decline any insurance plans and not only did they end up sneaking this insurance into my next bill, I found out that I was being charged for the free phone as well. Later on I called the Verizon customer service help desk to dispute these charges and found out that I was being charged for the free phone because I did not "qualify" for the BOGO deal anymore. Since I bought the phone out right instead of doing a 24 month payment on it, this nullified the conditions of receiving the free phone meaning I had to pay for the free phone now. The customer service rep at this location failed to tell me this information when I was purchasing the phone!!! This location sucks and I hope Verizon learns to teach their customer service reps to do better. If Yelp gave me the option to give a 0 for this place, I would have. read more

Came here to transfer over to a new service provider. My sales person made it a swift & easy transaction. I haven't had to return to the store since because Verizon let's you do pretty much everything online. The area is a busy one. The jug handle from Cozzens Lane to Route One backs up from time to time so it may not be good to be around during rush hour. read more

I purchased an iPhone 14 Pro and I went to have it activated on a Saturday and they were unable to do it. I returned on Sunday to have it activated and to have help with it and it went past 4 PM which was closing time. The manager Dimitri was so rude and unprofessional. He basically kicked me out because he had a party to go to and my phone is not working. I am probably most likely not going to use Verizon now any longer due to his unprofessionalism and treating me the way he did. You should probably consider hiring people other than children working in your stores very unprofessional. I am telling all my friends to not come here. Verizon on route one in North Brunswick sucks. The guy behind the counter said he would help me so i followed him to an open register but he couldn't login so without saying anything, he just leaves. He goes back to his original seat and starts playing with his phone. i'm staring at him for like 3-4 minutes and then i say... If I were the one working when a customer walked in at 8:53pm, 7 minutes ahead of closing time, I doubt that I could have mustered up half of the kindness that I was greeted with at this Verizon store last night. A big thanks to Rahim for quickly and efficiently replacing my 3rd busted Blackberry Storm (and lament with me on what a piece of crap that phone is), and to the other guys for being funny and friendly. 15 minutes in and out, good conversation, and a brand new (but still crappy) phone. I just purchased a new phone, a Google pixel 3xl and had to transfer all my data from my old phone. There were glitches only because of the private server the data was being transferred from. I know anything I say won't matter but I'm just so furious and frustrated with the cell service from Verizon. For 4 years I paid 80.00 for 4G LTE 12 gig of data and when I purchased my iPhone I received 2 gig for life or as long as I had my phone. Then unlimited came along and Verizon was constantly contacting me to switch. I added my granddaughter to my service then Verizon suddenly was acting like we were going through data like running water. We both kept track of our data usage and it never added up to their charges. We have Fios at home and was on WiFi for the most part. Against my better judgment we switched to unlimited. My biggest fear happened. Not only were we NOT getting 4G LTE service we can't connect for directions on Apple Maps!!! Or any maps for that matter!!! We are just piggy backing cell towers!!! Just like the good ole pre-paid service days. Verizon is also under contract with their customers but get away with providing said services. They also charge data total without proving what we actually use. I don't know any CELL SERVICE that gives you what your paying for. read more

Great selection and something for everyone. if you're looking for people skills, customer service, or helpful employees - avoid this place at all costs. I have the misfortune of being geographically located near this store, so I've been here multiple times (including today) for various transactions. I've never had a positive experience here... ever. Every time I've visited, I've been made to feel as though I'm bothering them. Today, I was told to key in my name in the computerized system to get helped in order of arrival (even though there was maybe 3 other customers in the store and 7-8 employees). I waited for about 5 minutes - which seems like an eternity when you're just standing there - and finally got tired of watching the employees chatting back and forth. I walked up to a counter - which had no customers - and asked for help from an employee who was busy reading & texting, and reluctantly helped me. I know I'm ranting here, but if you're a glutton for horrendous customer service, visit and see for yourself. If not, then drive an extra 10 minutes to their East Brunswick store. I tried to purchase a new smartphone. Went in on a Saturday and due to time constraints couldn't finish up. Made an appointment with the manager to come back on Monday because he was off on Sunday. Guess what ..the price of the phone had gone up $100.00 and the manager wouldn't honor the price we agreeed upon. I called customer service twice and talked to the manager 3 times with no success. Not a happy consumer. You would think a company that big would honor a verbal agreement and make a very good customer happy. but no such luck. This place is run by a bunch of lazy idiots. I tried to get a new SIM card for an Iphone I recently bought. They told me I needed to have the phone with me in order to get SIM card. I told them to activate the sim card on the phone I was carrying (which took Nano SIM), so that I could just switch the SIM card to the Iphone later (which ALSO took Nano SIM). They told me they could not do this because you cannot switch SIM cards between an iphone and android phone. I later found out that this is a complete lie. They'd rather make you drive back and forth than do an extra bit of work. I'll be praying that this store goes out of business. read more

Today was the very worst experience I ever had at the Cozzens Lane store. The Assistant Manager- Vanessa was dismissive and provided little help to a store packed with customers. One guy even commented on the long wait and indicated that she should in fact assist some customers. She sarcastically thanked him and continued to lean against one of the displays. Horrible service. I bought an iPhone 5s today and the lady at the desk turned her radio up full blast as I'm talking to her. There were not many people in the store for a Sunday afternoon and I think I know why... the experience is just painful. I actually left the store and now cannot use my phone because I wasn't given a SIM card or instructed how to activate my phone. Went back there THREE times after speaking to customer service on the phone, and they would not honor the notes written on my account for fear that their store would be stuck with the charges after multiple calls and notes confirming they would not. Excellent experience with Ramon. Did an edge out flawlessly concerning the phone swap. Would have given 5 stars but was sold a leather belt case for my phone and when I got home, the case was too small for my phone. Went back the next morning to swap out for the correct case. This has to be the most disturbing Verizon wireless stores I have ever been to. Do not even think of going here. I went in trying to get a new flip phone for my father ( mind you he has an upgrade and the phone is free). I was assigned to the salesperson Paul. I had paper work of the phone etc, knew what I wanted easy as anything. The only thing I knew I had to pay for is the 40$ activation fee, which is bogus to begin with, but that's fine being the phone is "free" with my upgrade. Paul suddenly started to act dumb scrolling on his ipad and said uh I dunno what you have to pay lemme see. Then he said I would have to pay 190$ today and get a mail in rebate. Lol to my surprise I said how and why. He tried to explain but I knew he was just trying to make a quick buck. I began to become very angry I have always been a loyal customer to Verizon for years but this store with multiple other incidents makes me want to make the move to another mobile company. I told Paul that I'm never going to pay 190$ for a flip phone and that I paid that much for my stinkin Smartphone!!!!!! I could buy that flip phone with out an upgrade for 199.99. I told him he wasn't going to bamboozle me! And left. I'm so upset about this incident and hope they close it down or hire people that aren't morally corrupt! read more
