I don't quite understand how people have bad experiences here this is the fastest and best verizon store I've been to. Even though it's a retailer you can still do almost everything a Verizon store can. I've been here twice, each time I am greeted and helped right away. Any other verizon stores I have to wait in line just to be helped, no one has time for that! The only reason I'm writing a review is because of the 2 day fiasco that happened to me when upgrading from iPhone 6s to iPhone X. Nai was extremely helpful and went above and beyond. I traded in my iPhone 6s to get the accessory package (case, wireless charging port (I absolutely love that thing, real reason - when I come home drunk I just place my phone on the pad and wake up with battery life, yesss!), and screen protector). There were many issues with my iPhone back up so I had to call Nai and let her know not to wipe my phone. We ended up getting the iCloud backup to work, even though it took 24 hours. Nai was so helpful in letting me know when it was finished. She was supposed to be done for the day but ended up staying about a half hour after to finish helping me. And she was so sweet about it, I would have been a bit flustered after working all day if I had to stay longer but she was un-phased, I really appreciated that. This is my neighborhood Verizon store and I've always had good luck here but I wanted to give a shout out to Hugo who was working on his own and handled three customers like a pro, not easy to do. He helped us all with the purchases of new phones which took some time but juggled everyone and their needs super competently. I will continue to frequent this store but felt that Hugo especially deserved some recognition for a job well done. Thank you! read more

I went in during the coronavirus times and this old homeless guy came in with all his bags and was kinda coughing and in general not being too careful about germs and lucas was so respectful to him in asking if he could help him in any way -- I was heartened by his compassion, many people would have been scared and rude. Plus, he gave me excellent service hpdgrading my iPhone and advising me of ways to get discounts and such. he made would could have been an unpleasAnt experience into a really good one. read more

If I could give this store zero star, I would. I came here on a Sunday to open a new account. Mandeep helped me. I wasted few hours of my time there. He did everything wrong. He got my phone number wrong. He set up the account wrong. He promised we would receive huge credit for the trade in but it did not happen. We traded in IPhone but received no credit. So basically we gave him the phone for free. I would not trust him with my personal information either. Please don't come to this store to waste your time and money. read more

I purchased a cell phone at this verizon store and asked the salesperson if I would be able to return it. He said yes. However, when I went to return it they would not let me do so because the policies at a regular verizon state are different from those at a Victra store. I did not even know it was a Victra store or what impact that would have. I was unable to get any resolution to this store's mistake. read more

I was able to have the pleasure of Sekander assist me with a purchase of a new phone, and Hotspot for my daughters online schooling needs. He knew the merchandise well and was very clear on cost and forward rates. We felt safe and secure while in store. I needed tech support from Verizon. I called the Verizon corporate number. As usual, took forever. They suggested a SIM for my phone. Said I could pick one up for free, so I told them of this store. Went in a couple of weeks ago to convert my wireless account from at&t to Verizon and to my unfortunate luck, received an associate who did not do her best to help me out. 1. The iPhone 7 apparently was on sale for half the price of the original price of $760, which would have cut my monthly payments of the iPhone from $32 to $15. She made no mention of this at all and charged me full price for the phone. I later heard about it from another friend and luckily was able to call in to Verizon wireless customer service to get that adjusted. She also kept trying to get me to trade in my iPhone 6 that can only be used towards the taxes of the iPhone 7 and accessories... I felt like she was just trying to get more commission on this interaction. 2. Added on insurance to my account when I explicitly said I was not interested in it. I asked if they sold apple care in the Verizon store, so she knew I had intentions to buy apple care, not their monthly insurance for $12/month 3. Not adding on my employee discount when we spent an extended amount of time trying to get verified in the store. This whole process has become so frustrating because I had to waste more time calling back to Verizon wireless customer service to make these adjustments that could've been done on that same day I went into the store. I feel that her customer service was a disservice to me and maybe she needs to be retrained. But if I were you, do your research or just avoid going to that store if their employees are all like that. read more

Marilou went above and beyond to help me out: my friend was visiting from out of town and the two spare phones I brought in didn't work for one reason or another. Marilou lent me her old iPhone and cable, charged it up fully, and set it up so that I saved at least $40+ dollars. How is that for service? She's funny and a fun conversationalist too so getting everything set up was a breeze. Plus she let me use the employee restroom bc she understands that when a girl has gotta go, she's *gotta go* lol. Five stars for making my world a nicer place! read more

Amazing experience with the Piedmont squad. Superman, Jerry, and the manager all helped me. I brought over 3 lines from sprint. Smoothest experience at a phone shop that I've ever had. I don't normally write negative reviews of businesses. But this place just wasted three visits and an entire morning of my time for what should have been a very simple transaction. I had received an email offer to upgrade my iPhone to a 32 GB 5C for free. I went in to the store to see if I could do it in person faster than online. They said yes, and offered to order the phone from another store since they were out of stock. The next day I went in to pick up the phone. When I took it home and tried to transfer my data, I realized they had given me a 16GB phone, not a 32GB. So I went in a third time to get the correct phone. I had to wait an hour even to speak to a salesperson, since there was only one person staffing the entire store. At which point I was told that they could NOT honor my email offer since they were not a corporate-Verizon-owned store. Instead, all they could give me was a $100-off discount. To get the free upgrade, I would need to go to a corporate store, like the one on Lakeshore. Why didn't they tell me this to begin with? Why did they sell me the wrong phone? Why did I have to spend my morning away from work, waiting for the lone employee to refund my money? I went over to the Lakeshore store and was greeted immediately by a worker with an electronic waiting list. I was able to do some shopping nearby while I waited for my turn in the queue. Then I got the phone I wanted, on the terms that Verizon had offered it. My advice: It may be ten minutes further away, but go to the store on Lakeshore. DO NOT go to this store! At least they refunded my money for the wrong phone.... read more

Avoid this Verizon store. If you did buy any thing check your bill, they will charge you for service they did not provide, I was charged for setting up my iPhone vm and email and they did not do it. I even showed them they have not done it and want my money back but they say it's none refundable fee they charge you for coming in to their store to buy the phone. Just go to the real Verizon corporate store on lakeshore avoid this store unless you like to pay for service you did not receive. read more

A while back I visited this store thinking I needed to buy a new phone. My phone had been used by an unauthorized person and I'd been unable to stop it. I thought I needed to buy a new phone and start over. But Nai and Larry came to the rescue and created a new e-mail address and password for me and told me I was good to go. I actually waited to write this Yelp review because I wanted to wait and see if their solution actually worked and it has!!!! Thank you to both Nai and Larry. I would not recommend this store to anyone. I took my old IPhone 5 in because I was not getting an internet connection through cellular service. Josh Ha, the manager, told me it was because my phone was so old that the current software would not work on it. I ended up buying a Samsung Galaxy J3V. After trying it out for a few days I decided to return it because I did not want to switch to a different system and wanted a phone that was the same size as my IPhone 5. After doing considerable research, I decided that the IPhone SE would be just right for me. I called the store and the female employee told me they could order it for me and that it would take about two days to get. I went into the store that afternoon to order the SE and return the Galaxy. Josh told me that they actually would not be able to get the SE for me and proceeded to tell me what a poor phone it was with terrible reviews and that Apple had installed a "kill card" in it so that it would stop working entirely at some point not too far in the future. I said that I had read many good things about it and would find a way to get it on my own, and that I wanted to return the Galaxy. He told me there would be a $35 restocking fee and that I should keep it until I was sure I could get an SE, which made sense. I had no objection to a restocking fee since they had spent a fair amount of time initially transferring my data from my IPhone to the Galaxy. On my way out, I overheard another employee talking to a gentleman who wanted to replace his two year old SE whose battery had given out with another SE because he also wanted to keep a smaller sized phone. The employee gave him the same spiel about it being of poor quality and having a "kill card" in it. I ended up buying a refurbished SE on-line and went in to return the Galaxy. Josh informed me that while I could return the phone and cords and case, the $50 screen protector was not returnable. I do not remember ever having bought a screen protector and have never had one on any phone I have ever had. The store transferred my data from the Galaxy to the SE. When I got home, I realized I still had no internet service aside from wifi. I called my Verizon account and the gentleman did a number of tests on the phone and discovered that my SIM card was defective and that the store had put it back into the new phone. He told me that this store is actually an independent entity and that I should take the phone to a corporate Verizon store where the SIM card would be replaced for free. As a final insult, my next Verizon bill was $20 higher than usual. When I called to inquire, they informed me that that was for the "insurance" whose order was placed- guess when- on the day I bought the Galaxy. I NEVER ordered phone insurance and have never had phone insurance. Verizon apologized and immediately removed the charges. Do business here at your own risk. Two stars for them transferring data twice. read more

Surprisingly incompetent with a range of things. When I was at the store, the service was beyond slow. Also, they have limited potential to even be helpful because they are a third party service provider and not actually Verizon. They have 10 layers of additional procedure that we had to jump through before they could try ... and try ... and fail to access my account information. (It was no problem at the "corporate" aka functional verizon store I went to next.) I'll consider all possilble options before going back here again. read more

I seldom write reviews, unless I receive service that is exceptional (or the opposite). Until I came here to upgrade my phone, I had NEVER had an enjoyable phone buying experience. I am tremendously impressed with the friendly and knowledgeable service provided by the sales staff here. Everyone I met here was down-to-earth and helpful and good at communicating clearly. Pretty much the opposite of everyone else that ever tried to sell me a phone. (Previous phone buying experiences ranged from meh.. to 'used-car-salesperson on steroids' to 'get me out of here!'). If you are considering upgrading or buying a new phone, or if you're having issues with your phone, or just need a charger or case, or screen protector, these guys will treat you well, and gladly provide you with the best service. read more

One of the best Verizon stores I've been to. I came in on 8/9/16. I was so impressed with the excellent customer service because of the negative reviews on Yelp. Totally had to be under the old management. I originally came in to upgrade my phone. When I first came in the employees greeted me right away. The manager (I forgot his name) was very helpful with getting me my new phone. Everything was quick, easy, and he imported my contacts and pictures with no problem. The employees were so kind and helped me choose accessories for my phone. The manager let me know that my whole family was ready for upgrades too, so I ended up coming back a few days later (8/13/16) with my family to purchase their new phones as well. Even on that day, which was over the weekend and was way busier than when I went before, I was greeted and helped instantly. We ended up purchasing 2 iPhone 6s, 1 iPhone 6s Plus. We even decided to get the free tablet, I could not pass up the great deal. Highly recommend this store if you want quick and easy service. read more

This is the SCUMMIEST SCAM STORE ON EARTH. I have bought two phones from this place. The first, the guy lied to me about the cost. He literally wrote down the cost of changing a plan on a piece of paper and when I got home he billed me something else. The second time it took them TWO HOURS to give me a phone when I was the only one in the store. First they said the deal that I had on the computer was wrong, and I could only get it if I bought three accessories. I verified with Verizon over the phone THAT WAS A LIE. Then I get home and they have added redux at $30 a month and VIP Protection at $10 a month. Which I heard them discussing they need to get their numbers higher on while I was in the store. I ALREADY HAVE INSURANCE. They never mentioned this to me at all. ONLY GO TO THIS STORE IF YOU WANT TO WASTE TIME AND MONEY FIXING WHAT THEY SCAM YOU ON. read more

What kind of business, particularly in the phone service business, lets their voice mailbox get full so that customers cannot leave messages? The Verizon Store, yup. Note: I have learned that this location is independant and not a corporate store. I moved all of my families phones here from AT&T in February following numerous customer service issues. This review is not about the Verizon service, phones work fine and the service by phone is good. My problem is that the people in the store do not seem to know what Verizon can and cannot do and told me several things at setup that were not true. I was working with the manager, Joshua, so you would think he would know. I signed up for insurance for my daughter's phone as she tends to lose and or break her phone. My wife was reviewing our bill this month and noticed that it appeared that the insurance was on my phone not my daughter's. A quick call to customer service verified the misstake that was made upon setting up our phones. Ok, no problem, my daughter's phone has been un-insured for 4 months but nothing happened so no harm. Just move it to my daughter's phone, right? No, wrong, her phone is not eligable because we did not buy it at Verizon. I go down to this store and there are 4 employees at the counter. Hey, I say, if I want to add my daughter's phone to our account but bought it at ATT, can we get insurance? All 4 said yes! When I told them what customer service told me one of the women there made a call and found out that her phone is not eligable. I asked for a credit for the four wasted months of insurance, only Josh can do that. A week later no call and, as described above, cannot reach the store by phone. read more

I came in last week to purchase an adapter for my iPhone 7 to use Google map in my car. The attachment device was out of stock at the store so they ordered one for me. I went to the store yesterday and there was a mishap on the delivery. To my surprise the manager, Josh said why don't you take my device until the item comes in. Josh proceeded to take the small magnet from his phone and installed it on my phone. He followed me to the parking lot and took the device from his car so that I can put it in my car. As I drove away from the store with the iPhone mount it on my dashboard, I was amazed at the generous customer service. The review I made on this entry was in 2017. Today I return to this wireless Verizon store on march 16 3:00 PM. I was here last night asking for help with a wireless hotspot that I purchased at the Verizon store on Lakeshore. I Purchased the portable hotspot on April 26, 2017. When I came last night I wanted them to check the battery because I thought it was in need of replacement. It only will stay on for three minutes. By the time I came to the Verizon store last night it would only stay on for one minute. The technician at the counter did not seem to know what to do. She plugged in the unit and it showed that it was charging so she said you just need to charge it. I went home and plugged in overnight and this morning it wouldn't even start all. So I return to the wireless Verizon store at Piedmont this afternoon. I spoke with the same technician/counter person and she said that I will probably need a new unit. I Astor I would like to try replacing the battery first since it would cost considerably less than buying a new unit. She told me that unit has been upgraded and it's an old unit. That point I asked to talk to the supervisor Josh. Josh said maybe should try to get a new battery but we don't sell them here. He suggested I go on Amazon and buy replacement lithium ion battery there.The technician/counter person looked up Amazon and reported that a replacement battery will cost $24.99. At which point I left the store and wrote this evaluation. I am sad to say that I cannot recommend this store anymore. So when you do go to the store you have to be weary that some of the people don't know as much as the supervisor so I would suggest if you want to buy significant purchase asked for the supervisor review the order before you pay. read more

Even when I get horrible service, I'll never bother to rate and review a place because I just don't want to take the time out of my day. However, this Verizon store is one of the most dishonest and deceitful places around. I'm not going to bore you with the mundane details of my experience because truthfully no one wants to hear me complain. I just want to urge everyone who is reading this review to really consider your options before coming here. There is a perfectly good alternative that is a short 5 minute drive away.
