Just before the pandemic of last year I visited this location to upgrade my phone. I normally do it at home which I strongly suggest you do. After this upgrade and very cold service from the staff who helped me with this process at the store, my phone number was ported over to another phone two weeks later. Thankfully I was able to stop and reverse open credit cards that were taken out in my name, stop purchases from going through.. etc. This caused me to change all bank account numbers, emails, and phone number along with monitoring everything for weeks. I visited the location to discuss with manager. The employee who assisted me was not called over and there was little to no concern on their end. I am still suspicious and reported this fraud to the the police. Because of the pandemic they could not investigate. I hope that the investigation resumes. In all the years that I have been with Verizon this was the very first time I had my phone upgraded in a Verizon store. read more

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS STORE. Or Verizon for that matter but specifically this store. A few years back in 2018 I had an incident with them. My family was low on money but I wanted a smartphone and we told the associate helping us how we're only trying to spend a little amount of money. We managed to get a MotoZ1 play I believe? And we asked so many times and he confirmed that we would just have to pay $200 and that's it. Upfront and we are good but they had us sign all these bogus contracts and because we're a Hispanic family they took Advantage of us! 1 year later and we had over $800 in bogus fees we were forced to pay because the phone ended up being more than $600 and then they also made us get these stupid portable chargers and portable signal devices that we were paying for discreetly because we were never aware. Your company is built on taking advantage of people and that's a sick and twisted mindset. read more

I asked her to check something on my account for a service that I am paying for. She told me they don't have access to my account and I should call customer service. This is a Verizon store!! They have accessed our account every time we have bought something. She said they DO NOT have access to our account. She is either new or did not care!! If you do not have to come here for ANY reason it's best to avoid this location. 2 receptionists that enter you into their reservation tablet. 3 service techs that have to run to the back room countless times only to watch the customers in total agony as they are held captive to the maligned process. THEY'RE SELLING DUPED PHONES. If I could give zero stars I would. It was a nightmare. My dad had bought an iPhone 7 for my mom. We tried to transfer her contents only to find out that they sold us a model of the iPhone 7 that was considered a "No Service" phone (essentially, a duped phone). We came to the store and we state our complaint. The MANAGER was useless and apathetic to our complaints, so he directed us to a Tech Representative. The Tech Representative, Rudy gave us the options of paying an extra 50 dollars for the iPhone 8, or reactivate the old phone and get our money back. The shady thing about this place? We asked what they would do with the duped iPhone 7 they sold us. They said they would take it back and resell it again. THEY'RE SELLING DUPED PHONES. Rudy claimed that it wasn't brought to their attention about these phones. Funny thing a Verizon tech Support sent me the link over the phone. On top of that Rudy was incredibly rude to my dad when I had him on the phone. His words to my father were "I'm not going to talk to someone over the phone, but you're more than welcome to come to the store." As a member of society working in customer service, that's no way to talk to a customer. Overall disappointed, Verizon has always been our first choice for phone service. The manager Josey was impatient with answering my questions and avoided me. The manager Gerry was not helpful at all and refused to apologize for the inconvenience of my phone being inaccessible through UPS. The bald employee with the Harry Potter tattoo on his arm i think his name was Dennis was the one that placed my order and rushed me out of the store earlier this week without explaining to me that UPS will not hold the phone at a local pick up location, nor will they release the phone to you after 12pm(?). Now I am unable to get my iPhone that I paid for. All the employees had to say was "We don't work for UPS" and walked away from me, no apology or other solution. I had two terrible experiences with these guys over the last couple of weeks. First interaction was to upgrade to the new iPhone. Salesperson (Jake) seemed very nice, accommodating and quick, and agreed to waive the $35 upgrade fee for mine and my wife's new phones when I asked him to. Because of the way the upgrade worked, he had to charge my card for each phone, and I clarified each time, "This is just to buy out my existing phone right, no upgrade fee, no hidden charges?" Each time he replied, "No upgrade fee, no hidden charges". Lo and behold, I get my receipt at the end of the transaction and there it is - two $35 upgrade fees for mine and my wife's new phones. I asked him what that was all about, and he apologized and said he messed up and that it shouldn't have been there, but that it was too late to take the charge off as he already charged the card multiple times. I said, "What can we do about this, you explicitly stated there was no upgrade fee". He gave me a number to call to try to have the $70 applied towards my phone bill. Seemed slimy to me, but it was only $70 and I was in a hurry. I reluctantly agreed to call the number, and asked Jake for one more favor - the last time we upgraded our phones, our information didn't transfer over completely from the old phones to the new phones, so I asked Jake if once the phones come in, we can come back and he can help us out with that. He said no problem, just come in as soon as the phones arrive to us and they would take care of it (the phones had to be shipped as they were on backorder). Today, phones arrived, and we went back in to have everything transferred over. We were met by the manager (Gerry?), who immediately proclaimed that he was going to have to charge us to transfer our data over. I told him, "Our original salesperson said we could just come in and he'd just take care of it, no mention of a fee". Then he said he would look into it and try to waive the transfer fee. I let him know, "Hey while you're looking into it, you should also know that Jake was originally supposed to waive our upgrade fees and he didn't". Manager replies, "There's NO way he said that, now you're just pushing it. Have a seat and I'll be right with you". My wife and I take a seat, in disbelief that a manager is speaking to us in this manner. We're both managers of retail stores ourselves and cannot possibly imagine speaking to a patron that way. Manager comes back and says, "So I'm not going to be able to waive any transfer fees for you today, and if you have an issue with that, I suggest you come back during Jake's shift to try to hash it out with him". I explain that that is not possible for me, as I have other work obligations, and if we can just figure it out now. Manager kind of shrugs me off and again says there's not much he can do. We had a bit more back-and-forth about what Jake had promised us originally until the Manager again insinuates that I'm lying about what I was told (and in no way taking responsibility for his salesperson's claims). I could see it was going nowhere and just said, "thank you very much, you've been a huge waste of my time today", and I walked out. My biggest issue with both interactions is not about the money, it's that the original salesperson was not upfront with me about the charges involved, and that I was later treated horribly and accused of being a liar by the manager. I walk away feeling deceived by their sales staff, and disturbed by the callous treatment from the store manager. This store does not practice ethical business transactions, and insinuates its patrons are liars when called out on it. I will not be giving this store another dime. read more

Verizon updates are terrible. They remove some of your most important apps and sneak in other ones. When updates are made I don't want any current apps deleted or a change in font or alarms. Etc. Evelyn was extremely rude and unhelpful. She dropped my brand new device and refused to let me take it back after she did that. It is my property (I already paid for it), and yet, she still refused. When I did grab it back, she was very rude and disrespectful. I would RUN if you get her as your customer service advisor. Gerry, the manager, was only helpful after he witnessed all the issues with her. I left thinking Evelyn was capable of doing her job and getting my device connected to cellular, but I returned shortly after because she in fact did not do it right at all. Many years ago, I got my first cell phone from a company called LA cellular... The company, much like the giant phone that was serviced by said company, was clunky and didn't have many features. But it was reliable in and of itself, in an analog cellular world. I still remember being able to monitor the 900 MHz frequencies on my police scanner, and picking up my own cell phone calls. Thankfully, digital came along, and so did Verizon to purchase LA Cellular, along with many other small companies. About that time, I ventured into this Verizon wireless store on South Lake Ave., and I've been going back every couple of years ever since, to get the newest phone, upgrade a plan, add a line, or pick up accessories along with other odds and ends. There are a couple of hacks that make this place more tolerable. First and foremost, always call and make an appointment. Just like the DMV, there always seem to be people sitting around waiting for hours on end, because they walked in and got on an invisible queue that is only accessible and monitored by the dude with the iPad who takes your name. Make sure you give your existing cell phone number to the person taking your appointment, and ask for a confirmation by text. Secondly, make sure that you completely clean out your phone of all pictures, notes, voice memos, and anything else that you would like to keep. The store has the ability to transfer photographs, but if you have more than 200, they really don't want to play. If you insist on spontaneity, and believe that going in unannounced is the best bet, may I suggest arriving at the store in the first hour that they are open. Granted, there will still be a wait, but all of the people who went to breakfast first won't be there yet, and you should be able to speak with someone quickly. Or at least, more quickly. As far as price is concerned, you can probably do better on eBay or online or Amazon for accessories, cases, chargers... You get the idea. However, it is generally easier and more convenient to spend a few extra bucks, and get your stuff here. Once you actually speak to a customer service rep, they are pretty helpful. Today, ours offered to install all of our extra glass coverings, cases and the like. He also made sure to transfer all contacts, voice mails, and a few other files on the phone that were still there after we did our best to wipe them clean at home. If you plan ahead, you can be in and out of the store in 30 minutes. If you're hell-bent on spending three hours here, that can be arranged... read more

Jospeh who called himself a manger had no interest helping me. No attempt as made & he reffed me to go back and talk to Verizon 800. This store is only interested in ur business if u are purchasing a new phone. They offer no other service. Employees are on commission and that's all they care for. I'm not writing a review based on the Verizon cell phone service, or my bill, etc. I'm writing this review based on the customer service at this location. I know you're an actual Verizon retail store, but even people like me, who are going in just to ask a couple of simple questions (or to see if something could be fixed) deserve to be treated like a customer who's ready to open a brand new plan. I told them why I was there, they put me on a waiting list (as usual), and there I waited...long enough to be able to play around with the multiple phones and tablets out on display (this is why they get 2 stars instead of 1), and to sit and stare when I ran out. When they finally called me, the guy didn't seem like he cared much and just told me to call a certain number to get more information. WHAT?? Was I not as important because I wasn't going to open a new line?? Well, guess what...you know those little unauthorized carrier stores that are such big "no-no's"? Well, they actually helped me out more times than the actual Verizon store. They were patient, tried calling different numbers for me, and guided me with different options. Bought an upgrade online and chose the option of driving into this corporate store to pick it up. It isn't around the corner, so yes, a special trip needed to be made. Our main reason for picking it up, rather than just having it shipped, was that we wanted two different phone numbers transferred. New phone = phone A, old phone = phone B, dead phone = phone C. Thought it was pretty easy - transfer the number from B to A, and then the number from C to B. We've done it before, not a big deal. Well, apparently this time, you would think we were asking the employee to design and build a space station. Geez! Finally get through all that and leave - numbers are transferred, but the transfer of data (contacts, pictures, etc.) is going to take awhile. No biggie. Problem is, once we got home, and the data transfer was done, phone B didn't work! Called tech support and after going through the basics that they had in their book (you do know they don't actually know anything, right?), they told us to call back the next morning when the senior techs were in. Called back in the morning and had to jump through the same hoops as the night before with the level 1 tech in order to get to level 2 (apparently, seeing that we called the night before and already did all this in their notes isn't enough). Got to level 2 and spoke with Thomas in South Carolina. He was awesome! Too bad we can't review him independently. He tried a lot of other things, and was getting just as frustrated as we were. But he maintained his sense of humor and professionalism the entire time. Thomas was extremely apologetic that he couldn't help us any further over the phone, and while he hated to say it, we needed to take phone B back to this corporate store to try a new sim card - hopefully that would fix the problem. Couldn't make the trip there for two days, and once we did, we were greeted by Mr. Attitude Problem the second we walked through the door. We could tell he'd be a pain in the ass, and so we tried to walk over to the young lady who was smiling at us. But no, he stepped back in front of us and insisted that he was the one to help us. Geez dude - are you guys on commission? Explained to him what was going on, that level 2 tech support said we might need a new sim card, and his response was that it was a phone and phones break. Ummm, yes, that is true; however, this phone worked perfectly when we put it in the hands of your co-worker the other day, that it doesn't work now, and that they need to take some responsibility for that. Again we are told that phones break, and we clarified that that means that THEY broke it. Okay, he'll try a new sim card. Duh! That's what we told you Thomas, Mr. Awesome Tech Guy, said to do. It isn't your idea Mr. Attitude Problem, we told you to try that in the first place. With a chip on his shoulder the size of Gibraltar, he stormed off to get a sim card. When he came back he turned on the phone, and then dropped it, from some height (he's probably about 6'2" tall), onto the table - "enter the code!" Well, EXCUSE us for having a passcode on our phone! We entered the code, he swapped the card, put the phone back together, said that's it and started to walk away. Not so fast buddy, we're going to call the phone first to make sure it works. Nope, it doesn't work. He pulls a phone out of his pocket, dials the number of our phone, and says "Look, it worked on my personal phone!" Wait! WTH? Listen, creepy unprofessional dude, you now have a young girl's number in your personal phone! (The case, screen saver, icons, etc. made it pretty clear that is was a young girl's phone.) No, there isn't ANYTHING nasty and unprofessional in what you just did! We started to tell him that he needed to delete that number from his phone, but he stormed off again and we couldn't find him. Asked another employee where he went and they didn't know. Hopefully the store management reads this - employees have NO BUSINESS calling customers from their private phones! Be VERY careful about what they are doing with phones that aren't yours! Mr. Awesome Tech Guy - 5 stars! Mr. Unprofessional Creepy Attitude Problem - negative 100 stars! He was trying to have me call back into the customer service line even though the issue couldn't be resolved there, which is the reason I needed to head into the store. After I asked the manager to come over, Dennis, he was able to make the phone call and assist me. No sure why the first guy couldn't take the time to do that. Extremely late update to three stars. The manager reached out awhile ago to acknowledge my review and apologize. Also my recent trip back last weekend was much better! Store is large and plenty of associates working when we walked in, however, the particular associate we were sent to was completely clueless! And it seemed like he was more interested in watching football behind the counter than helping us. My Driod stopped charging and we asked if it could be fixed. The guy determined that the charging port needed to be replaced but he couldn't do anything about it. Okay fine. I might need a new phone...but what would happen to my data plan? Would I lose my unlimited data? We asked him a bunch of questions about data usage and he gave us answers that ended up being incorrect. Dude, if you don't know the answer, it's OKAY to fess up and ask one of your colleagues! The guy ended up sending us to the little independent retailer a block away where I ended up getting the RIGHT answers AND bought my new Galaxy 3. We ended up having to call Verizon through phone after leaving because she just didn't have time to help us make changes to the account we needed assistance with. She told us we can call customer service and go from there. I've never had a bad experience in a Verizon store before but yes we definitely felt rushed and very unsatisfied with how the employees treated us. My wife and I bought a $99 bluetooth and it was missing some of the parts in the factory closed packaging. we called the store at 8:35 they said "let me check, ill get back to you in a minute". they put us on hold and never got back to us. I was very impressed by the service that I received at this store. I normally have a horrible time with any customer service rep regarding cell phone issues.. but Sean did an amazing job! When you walk in, make sure you sign-in at the kiosk right by the door. Then they will call your name when they are ready. I waited about 10 min, which wasn't bad at all. I had to get a new cell phone and wanted an early upgrade. Sean was very knowledgeable about all the new phones out there, was able to show me the phones and tell me about the differences.. tried to find a phone that fit my needs and budget. He was very understanding and accomodating. He also recommended some very useful accessories and told me which ones I could get a discount on... and I also got a rebate for my new phone! He also gave me useful advice about my phone, my account, and how I could save more money. I was very surprised and thankful. He even spent the time to put the screen cover on my phone and uploaded all my contacts from my old phone. He stayed an extra 30 min after closing time to finish my transaction without even rushing me. Thank you so much! read more

I tried calling the pasadena store to make an appointment to fix my phone. Currently I cannot call out or receive phone calls or text. I had to use my work phone. The automatic voice mail cannot handle a request without sending a text or making a call. I even got the store's phone number ( 626.395.0956), but it feeds into the national phone back and I have yet reached a live person that can make an appointment. Very annoying. read more

I came in here back in November 2023 to return my broken WiFi box, after returning it I was being charged an amount I shouldn't have been since Verizon was replacing it for free and the sales representative was nice enough to help me out. After that we talked about getting my son a new iPad so he can have a data plan vs always relying on others hotspot. The sales rep (Justin) promised my bill would only go up $8.00 but I would have to get a new cell phone as well so I thought why not, plus he promised me about 100$ to 120$ in credits to help with the sales tax, he opened the iPad to help me set me up. Fast forward I realized he sold me an iPad with very low GB so I had to back and return it to get one with a higher GB and now I was stuck paying a restocking fee and paying more sales tax. My bill was so high I asked when the credits would kick in and now it would be even higher with another sales tax I have to pay. This nice lady names Alice helped me out and right there I discovered my new devices were opted out of insurance and all previous devices as well and ( Justin) to keep my price low opted me out of insurance I was not happy, instead of being upfront saying only way to keep bill the same was to opt out, so now my bill is even higher because the iPad with more GB caused my bill to go higher and I needed insurance on all my devices my bill is now $110.00 dollars more a month because of this and Alice said I would get my credits which she said the manager approved from her and Justin to cover my next bills restocks and sales tax and all extra fees, she even gave me her number so I can call or text her to verify my credits would show up, so I went to the manager and praised her for helping out and calming me. So now my Jan bill was $240.00 over than what I wanted it to be so I called and texted ALICE but nothing no respond and still my credits are not there. It's saddening that they promise so much just for a sale. I cant keep going back to the store I am very busy and she still hasn't answered my messages or call. I am stuck with a 4th phone I don't need and I'm paying $110.00 more because I got these devices without insurance assured my bill would be the same. If I knew my bill would be so much more than originally $245.00 I would have just said thank you for the WiFi box help but no thank you why get devices without insurance. I was unable to process a device upgrade/trade in when I attempted on my phone or on my desktop due to an error of "unable to process this request..." so I came to the store. The rep who assisted me was younger, in his 20s. He was nice but he did not process the trade in portion after further review once the new phone was received later in the mail. At the time, he did explain the process of a trade in and credit so I thought this was done. If I had not checked my billing to question why there was no device credit, then I would have been charged full price for the device. I chatted in online. The chat rep was not helpful explaining why there was no device credit. I called in after and was finally told why there was no device credit. The call rep tried to help me process the trade in online but again, I ran into the same error of unable to process request. I was told to go to the store so this trade in can be done. I go to the store and I'm told that the phone user has to be present to do the trade in. They cannot process it online and have a return box ship to the original order address like a previous order I did a month earlier. Since this is my mother's phone, now she has to go in store. 3 trips to a Verizon store, a chat, and a call. About 4 hours of my time wasted for something that I was told was done. I work in tech/customer support so I understand mishaps but this is ridiculous for how much time was wasted for 1 issue. read more

There is free parking in the back. They have their own parking lot. There are some spaces in the big lot that offer 20 minutes free. Ok, so your experience will depend on your assertiveness and your issue. I usually know what I want or know what the problem is. If you have an smartphone or a phone that is expensive...GET THE FUCKING INSURANCE. Seriously, that is the biggest advice I can give you because these things get lost or just break. So when you get there, don't waste your time, login at the kiosk immediately. If you don't know how, ask the rep working there. From there you need to understand the problem. If they offer an exchange for your phone, ask them to send it overnight (and they will do it for free)and ask about backing up your data. It is a bitch to get all your people's contact info in there. Be assertive and get the manager if things don't go your way. read more

Having a previous had experience at another Verizon location, I did chat customer support on the website and they told me that I could go into any Verizon location to get help with my account. I had a Samsung Galaxy S9 device that had horrible battery life and I asked the website person if I could swap it for the S9+ which I know has better battery life I was told absolutely yes as long as I'm with in 14 days I was and I had the original receipt and box with accessories which I did. I go into this location as its close to where I work and they want to put me into another S9 which I all ready have had prior bad experiences with and I explained to the guy that I was told that I wanted to switch to the S9+ which I knew had better battery life. He told me that would involve a $35.00 restocking fee. I explained that the device was defective and I dont see how they can "legally" charge a restocking fee on a defective device that needs to be sent out for service their "Solutions Manager" who's name tag was hidden to me Ray Magana came to explain a restock fee was needed. I told this man he could help me or I could call customer care and they would help me he said no one could help me and the restock fee would happen if I wanted it to or not. After explaining to customer care of the phone they told me they would credit the account for what ever restocking fee this man charged me. I think this entire store needs to be restaffed including this man because if I treated my customers this way I wouldnt have a job! read more

Your experience really does depend on who is helping you. I've had horrible to pleasant experiences here. A young lady helped set up my family by finding us the right plan and phones. On the next visit one of the salesmen took advantage of my dad who is elderly, not fluent in English, and definitely not tech savvy. He offered him a free hot spot without telling him that it would be on a one year contract. Initially my dad went to fix a simple problem and came back without a fix and with a new addition to our phone bill. We tried to return the hot spot, but the charges to break the contract were heftier than keeping it. Remember if you're having technical difficulties with your phone do not come here. They're going to try to up-sell you things, which to be fair is their job, but some of the sales reps have shady ways of doing so. BTW the sales rep that conned my dad still works there. read more

AVOID!!! If I could do no stars, I would. Salespeople are incredibly dubious, intentionally leaving out pertinent information and even lying when asked direct questions. Try to up sell you on everything, which is to be expected, but 100% BS on all other accounts. Our salesperson wrote out the exact number we'd pay, in entirety, and now we have a SURPRISE monthly fee -- undisclosed. POS manager Joseph berated my wife when confronted over the phone. I have bought new phones from this place twice and both times the salespersons were pushy and miss informed me. This recent time I was advised to buy a charger stand for new Google pixel phone that also works with iPhones. Turns out that it only works with iPhones. I went to return it and the sales person said they have a 14 day return policy so I could only exchange. He did the exchange for a pixel stand while I was still asking about the stand. Turns out that the stand won't work with the ring on the back of my phone. As I was telling him that it won't work for me then. He tells me the purchase is final. Also, they never asked me if I wanted to buy insurance on the phone. Instead they just added it and I found out when my bill came read more

I am so incredibly angry with this Verizon location. They legitimately tricked me into a bundle promotion, did not explain this promotion even as I asked MULTIPLE times whether this bundle would cost more money than the flat rate he quoted me. Even after asking multiple times he failed to tell me it would in fact charge me 10 dollars a month for 2 years. After I left, I realized and when I returned to give the hotspot back they charged me to restock it, they charged me for the 2 days I had it and then told me there was nothing they could do. Everything at this store is about commission and making you believe they are giving you and incredible deal. I had to return to the store FOUR times to get everything on my bill straightened out, and even then they did not reimburse me for all of the wrong charges and misquoted deals. Over the course of this whole ordeal they emailed my dad over 17 receipts, multiples of certain receipts and omitting certain transactions. They're deal is to confuse you rather than make anything clear and easy. It is absolutely exhausting and infuriating that we pay them hundreds of dollars a month to screw us over and lie to our faces. I will not be returning here, and honestly my family and I are now considering switching our carrier after being with Verizon for 18 years. read more

This rating is for Verizon. I visited this location in order to obtain a copy of my final bill with Verizon. Since they will not allow online access or email after switching providers. It took half an hour to obtain this. The store was not busy. The staff definitely was trying to print out the bill but was having a hard time with the computer and then the printer. A manager should make sure the store runs in an efficient manner as time is valuable. When I called over the phone to dispute the break fee of the "supposed" contract I entered into, they told me to get a copy of the signed contract from the store directly. The store did not have this and could not provide anything showing that a contract was in place. I thought that I might one day be a returning customer.
