I have my worst experience in my life around June and July 2019 in this location. I walked into the store asking about the advertising of qualification of trade in and get Max $650 back for getting a new LG V50. I was told that I am not qualified for the $200 of that require switching from a different carrier, but I can still get the $450 by trade in my LG V20 without adding a new line. I thinked about a day, and come back and proceed the trade in. I got a paper work mentioned about a 27 dollars trade in while the person told me it is coming to my account monthly until it hit $450. Two months later, I realized the monthly $27 only show up once. I came into the store, and they told me the promotion is only for people adding a new line and refuse to do any research. The $27 on the paper is a market trade in value that is a one time transaction. When I complain to the manager, she told me to go argue with the clerk who told me the incorrect qualification who is not working that day. I complain through Verizon online and hot many different stories. Some tells me that I am qualified, some also told me adding a new line is required. After many times going into the store, they agreed on investigation. After the investigation, they agreed that adding a new line is required on newer promotion, but at the time I applied, the qualification is that I need to be under unlimitted data plan, which was not the story I was told at the beginning. The store refused to give me any credit since I was not qualified, so I end up have to complain online again. As a result, I got about $200 into the credit. Ordered a new line of service last night online. Verizon is running a free overnight promo, but apparently they won't allow Saturday deliveries. No biggie since I still have my phone/service from AT&T, right? WRONG! Verizon apparently ported over my # this morning from AT&T even though I won't receive the new cell phone until Monday. WTF. I called the VZN's 800#, FedEx and the Happy Valley store.. all to no avail. No one "could" do anything about it. 800# rep even got a little hostile with me saying it's MY fault for ordering it so late on a Thursday night. Wow. Since I'm phone-less for the next few days, I'll have some time to reconsider whether or not I want to be on the IN network. B*STARDS. Tip: Change your porting process. After years of service and 3 years of corporate discounts Verizon decided I was lying about my employment. So I cancelled them. They said that it didn't matter if the store verified my app or that I sent in my pay stubs. So they lose 1000 a year. Good riddance. read more

We got very poor service there had to call 611 to have someone from Verizon meet our needs. Their customer service was very poor not what you would expect from a large corporation. Dishonest Customer Service I walked into this Verizon to switch my phone from a Galaxy S7 to the new Pixel. I asked to trade in. The associate said, "no problem". He checked if he could give money for my phone. It wasn't possible. I said "no problem". It was an old phone anyways. He said "let me talk to my manager and see if I can do something". He comes back with a galaxy tablet. Says he can give me this for free with the trade in. I said, "I don't need it if its going to cost me anything. Even some sort of activation fee". He said it wouldn't cost a dime. He then told me how it would be connected to my data so I could use it on the go. I said "I don't need it connected to my data, so if that is going to cost me anything, I don't want it and I will just take the Pixel". He said again that it wouldn't cost me anything. And here we are, first month of the new bill, I was awaiting the charge for my Pixel. Lo and behold, a new charge has arrived. $10 a month for 2 years for a, at max, $200 galaxy tablet that I never wanted. I call up verizon to have it removed. I can't return a tablet after 14 days (even though my bill didn't come within the 14 days). And now, it is $175 to cancel the tablet contract so I CAN RETURN IT. Really swell move. I purchased a wireless charger on Sept 24, 2021, it did not work, of course I wanted to return it. After waiting over an hour to return the product, Eric the manager, called me a Lair, stating I did not purchase the item from Verizon. After trying to get Eric to accept the return, he stated he would not take it back. I had to go get my statement from my charge card company to prove to him that I indeed purchased the product from them and on what date it was purchased. This took approximately another 30 minutes out of my day to try and get a credit. He finally agreed to let me return the product, however he would not credit my credit card. Instead he insisted that he could only issue credit on my bosses Verizon account, even though I clearly showed him I purchased the item on my personal credit card. So now I am out of the $54.29, for something that did not work. Maybe it will be issued to my bosses business account, however I am not holding my breath. If the Manager Eric, does not know how to do a simple return and credit the account in which the item was paid for then, maybe they should get a manager that has a bit more intelligence. At this point I will do everything I can to try and convince my boss to change all his business and personal accounts to another provider. Eric was rude, nasty, and above all called me a liar. For a customer service person he is the worst I have ever had to deal with. His arrogance is also very hard to take. He also raised his voice to me, and would not listen to what I was trying to explain to him. I am in the customer service/sales industry on a much larger scale, and if anyone ever treated one of our distributors or customer as Eric did me he would be fired immediately. read more

I recently went to see Jeremy at the Happy Valley store. What a great experience!! Jeremy took care of my issues right away, and throughly explained everything. Every subsequent visit, he has always been very courteous and helpful to me. Being that Jeremy is a manager at the store, he has many more important things to do I am sure. Nevertheless, even upon departing from the store, he walks to the entrance with me, and opens the door! I cannot praise Jeremy's, professionalism enough. He is a Professional. The phone was a present and all my son did was pick up the box and the VERY flimsy plastic wrapping came undone because it it held together by a VERY small amount of adhesive. I had the best experience at this Verizon store. I switched from ATT to Verizon and associate Kellen Bell spent well over an hour assisting me with transferring content and learning the functionality of my new phone. He even told me about a discount because of my employment. Additionally, I like the team approach at the store. Kellen's manager introduced himself and assisted for a short time; as well as the assistance from another associate. The store seems ok. I bought 4 iphone Xs to replace our family's ATT phones. They had problems and had to give me temp numbers and since the phones weren't in stock, I had to come back to activate once they were shipped to me. Since they weren't in stock, I couldn't trade in my old phones. They also don't offer Apple Care. Also, this meant that I had to trade in the phones online and wait for an apple gift card. I could only do 2 at a time, so this process took 4 weeks. Lastly, and more importantly, the change from ATT to Verizon in North Phoenix is a degradation in service. I have 1 bar and poor connectivity in my house, where it was fine with ATT. USinG cell data in many parts of the valley is now much slower than ATT. My next step is simple. *** I HAVE CALLED VERIZON CUSTOMER SERVICE OVER THE PHONE ON THEIR 1800 NUMBER AND VERIFIED EVERYTHING BEFORE COMING INTO THIS STORE*** The scenario: I am 1 month shy from "Edging up." If I were to upgrade 1 month early, I would just have to pay the remaining 1 month which would be $25 for my S5. I signed up on May 2, 2014. Months before Verizon changed their contract about switching phones. It used to be at least 50% off the retail price of the phone before you can switch. Now it's 75%. Yes, the 50% still applies if you sign up before a certain date. If you however, "renew" by upgrading a phone, the new 75% will be applied. Anyway, I wanted to switch to the Experia Z3V. Verizon exclusive.... I called the store ahead of time to check if they have the phones in stock so I don't waste my time. They did. Upon entering, I was greeted by a nice lady that eventually passed us to Barbara. While I was waiting for Barbara to be available, my husband took a look at the Experia, both phone and tablet. 5 minutes later, Barbara came to us, looked at us and the phone and just seemed completely uninterested in us. I asked her if there were any promotions about the Sony products, because the man that I was on the phone with earlier said something about bundle package with a watch (to be fair, I couldn't hear him well due to noises and signal kept cutting off). Turns out that they weren't. So anyway, I told her okay I'll just go see around real quick. We went to another table to check out the Galaxy Note Edge. Hubby liked it a lot and it suits his needs for stock options. She came over to us and I asked her (I get straight to the point), how much would be for me to pay today knowing that I have 1 more payment to upgrade (2 phones about $50, as I've checked with a sales person over at the VZ call center plus sales tax). She told me that ALL EDGE plans will be $180 for EACH phone out the door because THE NEW CONTRACT STATED THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. I said are you kidding me? What's that? She said it's the bundle and it includes screen protector, case, car charger and another gadget that we like. $180. What the actual f**k. I could go to Amazon or Ebay and spend less than $60!!!! And I said I have never heard anyone saying that we'd be required to pay that $180. She INSISTED that it was part of the contract even though our contract started before the contract was changed. Did I mention she also looked like and sounded like she hated her job? She also told us if you want to you can ask them if you can do 0 money down. THAT IS THE CONTRACT. OMFG. Unless you owe the remaining months. What a joke! Also, we've already researched the pros and cons and specs about the Edge and asked her what she thought about it. She didn't know how to answer so she just tried to talk about the S6 instead and just said "I've heard good and bad things about it." Lol. Really? Anyway, we left telling her no thank you we'll wait. I called the Bullfrog VZ store in Anthem and asked the guy there if we had to pay $180 to edge up. He said "For what? " and told him the story. He said no. Never going here again. My son knocked my smartphone out of my hand and cracked the screen and I'm not eligible for an upgrade for another 4 months so I decided to buy a phone off of craigslist to get my by for a few months. I needed a new sim card for the phone that I planned on purchasing and wasn't going to be able to meet the craigslist seller until after the Verizon store was closed. I work 40+ hours a week and can't get in to these stores unless I have a day off so I decided in order to be able to get my phone up and running I would need to get a sim card during store hours.. When I walked in the "greeter" told me that they couldn't give me a sim card so I asked if I could buy one she said "no, because there free" and I said great well whats the issue then, and she refused to provide one. After I realized that I just wasted my time and money going to this store I decided to go down the street to a local "Mybullfrog" Verizon store. They were extremely helpful and provided the sim card with no trouble. I would not recommend the big box Verizon Stores when you can get much better customer service in the same area at a Mybullfrog/ Verizon Wireless store. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. It would be well deserving. The female manager with short blond hair was a total bully. Very unprofessional and rude. Avoid this store at all cost. I wanted to return a case that i got as a gift. My husband got a galaxy and a VR so he was in there spending money. When I went in to return case they said they did not see it on receipt and pretty much said he stole it. What? ummm He would not steal some cheap case from you guys. I was angry and just left . I thought better to not engage with people that are so disorganized they could not read a receipt and I felt the manager was so confrontational I thought who knows when she could loose it. Of course, when I got home dug up the receipt. It was right there on receipt clear as day. So avoid this store at all cost and just move on to a store that can read. I contacted Verizon's Customer Care in Georgia and put together a detailed plan to upgrade from a tablet to a new phone on my account, which includes 3 devices. The CC representative gave me the step-by-step process, and advised me exactly how this transition could take place. She indicated that I should work only with a corporate Verizon store, not one of the franchise stores, to accomplish this. I called this Happy Valley store and was advised that Verizon's customer care staff person was 100% incorrect, even though I confirmed it with a supervisor at CC. If I could give less than a star I would. I went to this location because it's right next to my work. I go in and this brown haired female employee with glasses approaches to assist. She pulls up my family plan to verify because I want to do my upgrade and she proceeds to tell me I would need to be the main person on the account. Not listening to the fact that I've reset up my plan for the edge and upgraded every phone I've had without my father there. Then the manager was asked about it, didn't bother to come speak to me himself and she further explain it's "always been like that, I'm not going to argue this", that I'm not aloud to upgrade unless my father is there. I was greeted by a guy (very nice unfortunately his name escapes me) as I looked around I explained I didn't have a lot of time to wait for someone. He smiled and said you got less than 5 minutes? I said yep! I was then immediately greeted by Daniel and I proceeded to purchase an iPad, cover and screen protector. I asked a few questions and was out in less than 20 mins flat! The sales person I talked too took her time to show me 3 different phones and did an excellent job recommending the right phone for my needs. I had the best service today that I have ever had at a Verizon store. The guy was really helpful & did a great job.

After spending nearly $200 signing up as a new customer my phone completely died within two months. After Jon fiddled with it for 20 minutes he told me I'd have to have a replacement shipped and I'd have to pay overnight shipping. I would also have to drive to a FedEx location and ship my old phone back. They offered me a loaner but that would have involved another trip back to the store. I was irritated that they couldn't replace my phone there or at least let me pay the difference for an upgrade. As I got irritated Jon got defensive and basically kept interrupting me..he did talk to his manager but he seemed to care even less...I basically left with a yellow sticky with the customer service number on it..WOW! That's service! When I don't like service I pay for I go somewhere else. I canceled verizon and went to AT&T even though it cost me $365.. it was mostly their attitude that bothered me, obviously they're not empowered to make any decisions. Doesn't work for me read more

I stopped into this location a few weeks ago because I heard that my company had negotiated a better discount for employees and, obviously, I wanted to get it. They weren't busy, so I was helped immediately. When I told the salesperson my situation I proceeded to get all of the paperwork out to verify my employment. He told me to put it all away because he had everything he needed already and that he'd look through some different options to make sure I was getting the best discount. After just a few minutes he had everything sorted out, told me I was going to save an additional 10% off of my bill and sent me on my way. He did actually point me toward accessories before I left, but he prefaced it by telling me that my company gets a sweet discount on them. I declined and he thanked me for using Verizon and told me to have a good day. It was a refreshing experience, seeing that so many cell-phone stores are trying to hard-sell everybody on everything.
