Unprofessional Management, Unauthorized Order Cancellation, and Unjustified Treatment I had a deeply frustrating and unacceptable experience at this Verizon location. I came in to pick up an order I had already placed and fully paid for--consisting of 3 new phones and lines. Instead of fulfilling my paid order, the store manager demanded I give him a "reason" why I needed 3 new lines. I mean it a fam line for my family if I'm get my kids a phone they wouldn't be transferring phones and numbers why should i have to have another reason then he stutters. When I questioned why a fully processed and paid transaction required further justification, he refused to provide any clear store policy or explanation. To be clear: the manager never even asked to see my ID. Had he asked for my identification to verify the account, I would have gladly provided it without hesitation. While I was standing in the store on the phone with Verizon Customer Care trying to sort out what was happening, the manager took it upon himself to cancel my paid order without my consent. When I asked him to show me proof that he had canceled it, he refused to show me documentation and basically told me I needed to leave the store. As I'm on the Phone with Customer Service Support they didn't even understand the reason for my cancellation. Fortunately, an employee over the customer support was kind enough to help me re-order my phones properly. Save yourself the headache however his cancellation caused my money to be delayed 3-5 days refund and cause an issue to put up at another location cause now they thinks is fraud they wasted my complete day on unnecessary issues and still don't have what I paid for what a joke I'm blasting him and the location employe refused to give the guys name that okay Ik he was the manager and avoid this location--the management here clearly does not value customers or basic professionalism. read more

Verizon keeps on upping and upping the price even though they send you an e mail that your current price is guaranteed for a period of time. They are rude on the phone that is if you can understand them. Then finally I had enough and changed to another carrier after being with them for a very long time. They refused to send out a final bill then I get notice that I am being turned over to a collection agency for non payment. BEWARE stay away from Verizon! Verizon replied they want to escalate and get me back-NO WAY. They did escalate. They gave me someone's phone number to call at the time she would be available. An answering machine answered in French. Sorry I do not speak French. When I did get in contact with someone from the management team they actually screamed at me-?? At this point, if I could put zero stars, I would. Back in September my mom went into Verizon to switch her phone and my phone to Verizon (my sister remaining at AT&T). They assured us our bill would be cheaper, and that we would get new phones, yay! With that understanding and double checking multiple times, we also got my husband and his mom to come on the plan with us. My mother in law did not want a new phone but they convinced us that we "might as well, it will be free". In order to switch to Verizon from AT&T, the old phones needed to be paid off at AT&T. This would be done via gift cards that were supposed to show up in our app right away. It is now the last week of January and we have still not received any gift cards to pay off the old phones, we are paying for half of the phones we got that were supposed to be free, and my sisters phone is about to be shut off with AT&T because of the delinquent account. All of our credit it being effected, we have spent many many hours in the store as there is no follow up from any employees, and they won't give us our old phones back so we can go back to AT&T. They are now telling us that the phones we got were not part of the promotion even though they knew which phones we were talking about getting from the very beginning and never said anything about a certain model being included. We owe thousands of dollars to AT&T, Verizon has our phones, and they will not put us in touch with anyone higher up that can speed anything along. I hate to write a bad review about a local business but this has been going on for close to 5 months now and I want others to beware before switching for a "deal". read more

Verizon is a corrupt and completely fraudulent operation. They weren't always this way but since the pandemic and their global extinction of in store customer service you are certain to be stolen from and cheated. And the worst part is they will admit it to you and laugh at you when you demand things to be fixed. My iPhone 8+s WiFi & Bluetooth stopped working & I took it into this Verizon because that was where I had gotten the phone. Mind you, this was after I spent a full hour on the phone with an Apple tech rep who- after repeating the problem 274 times-continued to ask me "have you tried turning Bluetooth on?" So I decided to try Verizon, because there's no way they could offer worse customer service than an Apple "genius" marinating in his/her arrogance with painfully unironic blue hair and an Apple logo calf tat, making you wait four hours just to tell you you MUST spend $1200 on a brand new phone. I came into Verizon at 7 Pm when they close at 8 (in true douchelord fashion.. I'm very sorry!) & there was a 20 minute wait. Despite my annoying arrival time, I was greeted with nothing but kindness and helpfulness. While waiting, the manager (wish I could've gotten his name to give him the proper kudos!) was making rounds to those waiting offering to help them. I told him about my phone situation, & he was not only very diligent in helping me diagnose the problem, but was also SO nice & understanding. Because my phone was under warranty, he helped me quickly order a new one & even sign up for a future protection plan. **did you know verizon replaces lost or stolen phones under their protection plans?! Poor customer service made my experience uncomfortable and disappointing... I knew locations were taking appointments but could squeeze in walk-in customers if they were able, due to the fact of me visiting this location and the Roseville one the day before. I walk in and am immediately greeted (awesome!) with something along the lines of, "Welcome! are you picking up a product or do you have an appointment?" I explain that I am not as there weren't appointments available for that day and was hoping I could be squeezed in. The associate shakes their head, disappointed, and asks why I didn't schedule a pick-up of my new product online. The tone in their voice and body language suggests I should have known better... We sit down, I tell them I what I want (iPhone 12 Pro). The associate begins talking VERY QUICKLY, confirming what I am purchasing, but also rolling along saying "oh you're going to purchase a screen protector and a phone protector from us today, RIGHT?" In a tone that was pushy and conveyed this was the obvious thing to do. I told them I wasn't. They used the same tone trying to convince me to sign up for the $17ish a month protection plan for my phone (that seemed to have quite a few restrictions) and the $28 fee for some sort of screen protection program. They asked for confirmation of what I was buying along the lines of "you're buying this phone with no protection etc., etc., what are you going to do if something happens and you damage it (Again in a condescending tone) ? I explain I have a screen and phone protector being delivered to me soon (don't buy accessories from the store, save some money!)... We proceed to the payment kiosk and the associate tries to rush me through the process of reading through the various terms and conditions that I am signing off to by giving me a less than 10 word summation of what I am signing on and TELLING ME, the customer, to press "next" or "I agree." I take my time and read the terms I want to. I insert my card, pay, am handed my new phone and leave. Don't visit this location or the Roseville one as I know this same associate works there, and I assume many of them go back and forth between locations. What if your loved one or someone less sharp got duped into paying for something they didn't need? I'll be going to the third party Verizon vendor on Kercheval next time I have phone needs, assuming I still have Verizon. I could probably give this a one-star review but those don't get as much attention as two-star IMO, and I did leave the store with the product I wanted. read more

This review is about the Verizon store in Saint Clair Shores on Harper. One star is way too high a rating.This store is full of LIARS... I came in to get a new phone. They insisted I would get a new plan with LOWER rates. ThAt was not true until I called VZ direct to whittle away charges they snuck in w/o telling me. They lied to me about anything they could. They said I would get FREE Disney/Hulu/ESPN. It turns out they had already CHARGED me for that. And my rate was NOT lower. They offered me some bogus WiFi plan, which thankfully I did not trust them with. I was with 2 other people who heard them lie about EVERYTHING. They never showed me the contract even. They supposedly set up my new phone, but NEVER explained I would need to get re-set up as account managers. They NEVER explained there is an "UNLIMITED PLUS" plan vs an "UNLIMITED WELCOME" plan. They clearly have NO IDEA what they are doing, or worse, they do, but want to fool you. Just be warned. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE w/o knowing EVERYTHING ahead of time. This review is about the Verizon store in Saint Clair Shores on Harper. We went in to find out why the third phone that my wife had was still dropping calls at our house. The customer service person was not able to help and so we asked for the manager. The manager was completely rude. He did not listen to my wife's concerns and kept cutting her off. When we stopped him from cutting her off he then went ballistic and started yelling at my wife for being rude to him after he had been rude to her. And then demanded that we leave the store and kept saying over and over again "have a great day." He refused to give us his name. Walked in greeted by no one. there were 3 other customers being helped while 2-3 other employees were in the back putting away product or standing at a computer. Went to the back still with no one acknowledging I was there. Looked at a phone to waste time and then just stood there obviously needing help. The employees just stood there going in and out of the back. 10 min go by thinking I have to wait for the 3 employees helping the other customers. A new customer with a child comes in and is greeted by 1 person in the back asking if they need help. Once that conversation happens and the lady goes to look at phones I asked if I could be helped but I had to be out on the "wait list" after the other customers who came in after me. Wait about 25-30 min before they finally bring out more employees to help in the back and 4-5 people waiting. Terrible customer service. read more

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Was trying to exchange a phone I ordered on-line and was told there was a $35 restocking fee. Phone in original package, unopened, and I was directed by Verizon to bring it in to exchange. Left and came back and was greeted by Bo, very condescending, asked to speak to Manager, Bo was going help me. I told him I was a long time Verizon customer and he told me there were a lot of long time Verizon customers, seriously that is how to treat a customer! After more discussion he finally spoke with his manager and they agreed that I wouldn't be charged a restocking fee since it wasn't opened. Bo went back to the stockroom to see if he had a phone, waited a very long time, he came back with a shipping label and told me to ship it back to Verizon. Went to at&t and have a better phone, less money and mailed the phone and accessories back to Verizon. Good bye Verizon, If your employees continue to provide this horrific service you will loose more customers. We have the protection plan on both of our phones. When my wife went into the store, to have her damaged phone replaced, she was purposely mislead. The sales associate suggested that she could use her protection plan, get a newer device, and just be responsible to pay the taxes/fees. We found instead we had a new monthly charge to pay off the device. We feel this sales associate purposely did this, instead of properly informing her that the protection plan covers the exact same phone you have as a replacement. read more

I love this store. I just did a review on another VZN store and it wasnt good. This is my store. Its a little out of the way for me, kind of a pain to turn left out of but best VZN store ive found. People are friendly and knowledgeable. Ive only have 1 lady be rude to me but it was cause i was buying a blackberry and she apparently didnt like them. i just said, im buying it not you and we were cool. I go in to ask a question and theyre helpful. They normally do have quite a few customers waiting but where doesnt? They seem to get through them quickly but not pushy. Really my only complaint was the last time i was there in Feb to get a phone cover put on, the lady asked me where i bought it i said Wal-mart she wasnt pleased but said someone will be with you shortly. They had this... thing im not even sure if it was a phone or what but, it beeped every 30 sec. Was VERY annoying and that pitch where it hurts your ears!! I made a few comments in the store about it and ended up leaving before i was called simply cause of that beep!! OH MY was it annoying!! Do NOT switch to Verizon. Worst mistake I've ever made. Not about the customer, only about the profit. I've been with them 4 months now and have shelled out more unexpected cash than I can add. Don't believe what they sell. Ask as many questions as you can think of regarding hidden fees, costs, and plan changes without notifications. DO NOT believe the promo advertising $650 max per line cancellation fee to get you out of your old contract. That's what they promised me but not only was the process long and confusing, I ended up getting WAY less for my cancellation fees so now I owe my old provider $600 over and above the $450 Verizon gave me in the end. The customer service at this store is completely unsatisfactory! In fact it's poor! I purchased a new iPhone 5s less than 30 days ago. The problem is the phone came with a defective headphone jack and a bad antenna for reception meaning a lot of my calls are dropped within 30 seconds. I was told by the sales person/STORE MANAGER that if I had any issues to return to the store and they would be able to help me. I went back to the Verizon store location here in St. Clair Shores to exchange my phone for a new phone. Unfortunately I was LIED to upon purchasing my phone and was told FALSE information about the return policy. The return policy here is real vague, especially the scripted talk I received by the original sales person and store manager who confidently helped me and clearly explained the return policy to me. Let me quote the store employee "If you have any issues with your phone, please return the phone here and we will replace it with new if it's been less than 30 days." THIS IS NOT THE CASE! LET ME WARN YOU! Upon me returning to the store, the salesperson who helped me told me I could have my new phone overnight to me via FEDEX, this is great, however the delivery time is 3PM and you have to sign for the delivery. BIG PROBLEM considering no one is home at that time and will be at work. The employee/sales rep failed to tell me me this! So I walked back into the store to see if I could have the delivery address re-routed to my office, this way I could sign and receive my phone the next day! BUT NO! "YOU CAN'T DO THAT" according to ALL 3 of the sales people (all 3 who horded me at the entrance door). So basically, the Verizon sales reps couldn't deliver customer service to me be calling Verizon customer service from inside the retail location here in St. Clair Shores, and have them RE-ROUTE the address to my office! They told me this: "Sorry, but the computer screen we were on is now closed out and we have no way of changing it." I then asked "Can you please call customer service and have them re-route the package to my office? My home address won't work due to the delivery time being 3:00PM!" Again, I received an answer of "NO." Being frustrated and super PISSED OFF now by the poor customer service I decided to give up and call Verizon customer service from my defective phone from outside in my car. My message to the store manage: Dear store manager, all you had to do was call customer service for me from your store location! Why couldn't you deliver this customer service to me? Why would you have me leave the store without being satisfied and being completely helpless? MY PHONE IS BROKEN! WHAT PART OF THAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?! You could've called for me! Isn't that your job? TO DELIVER THE VERY BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERY TIME?! There's an old moto: "EVERY CUSTOMER, EVERY TIME!" Verizon store and employees in St. Clair Shores, YOU FAILED TO DO THIS! Here's the icing on the cake: The $80 LIFEPROOF case I bought with the phone works great and is advertised as keeping your phone 100% dry. THIS IS TRUE, BUT... According to all 3 sales people including the manager, "you should purchase screen protectors before you leave the store." Why would I need a screen protector for something that already has it built in? The Lifeproof case is a screen protector you idiots! the Verizon sales people and manager explained to me that "the Lifeproof cases are known for getting moisture inside of them" This is so misleading and wrong and I feel like I have been ripped off. I will not be returning to this location and plan on telling everyone in my network as well! Thank you for treating me like low life scum and trying to sell me products that I don't even need! I have been completely ripped off by verizon. With so many stores and customers they ultimately do not care about customers. I was forced into a contract for an iPhone. iPhone was dead in 3 months. They allowed me to exchange it for a Droid stating I could return it in 14 days. I returned it in 3 days and they will not provide me with an alternative. Now I have a 2 year contract and no new phone. Additionally, my bill was $700 in Dec because of bad advise. Do not accept advise from these people because all they want is volume. *Do not think about their new "no contract" plan, it is just another line of malarkey! I had an absolutely horrible experience at this Verizon store today. I went in to hopefully get a replacement for a phone case I have that it covered under a 1 year warranty that includes breaks and basically anything. The manager (younger woman late 20s/early 30s brunette) who was working there told me (without even knowing which case or warranty I was referencing) told me very abruptly "it doesn't cover breaks" and I explained and showed her the warranty and that I have had it replaced before, she said "well that was a one time deal were not doing it again end of story" again without even looking into my situation whatsoever. I pulled up the warranty on my phone that stated authorized retailers (which would be Verizon) covered even replaced items for an additional 90 days after replacement. She did not care and was not even willing to look into it. Another employee (Arthur) was very sweet and tried to help me out. But the manager was HORRIBLE I do not even understand how this woman is a manager, the managers job should be to assist and explain things to the customer, not be overtly rude for no reason. I have an upgrade coming up soon and I absolutely will be visiting another store location for it, thanks to her. Please get rid of her. read more

I live right near here, but next time I need a new phone, i plan to drive far out of my way to get one because of the way i was spoken to here. I wasn't happy about some of the verizon policy changes, but I understand that is beyond the control of the salesmen. However, the sales men have COMPLETE control over how they speak to customers. The main guy I dealt with wasn't all that bad, he dealt pretty well with having to explain the new ways this corporation likes to squeeze every possible penny out of customers they have had for 12+ years. However, when he called over the manager to help with something on his computer, I was absolutely appalled at how snarky and rude and horrendously condescending he was. It was completely uncalled for and if my credit card hadn't already been ran for the new phone, I would have walked out right then. They moved locations, only about a mile away rom the previous location. This was the first and last time I will visit this location. I am not sure if they got a new staff when they moved a mile, because i was never treated like that previously. not recommended. read more
