So, promise you won't laugh, but I probably need to update my 5c phone since it no longer will update the Yelp app, and what's more important than the Yelp app??? But, I'm really torn because it still works great, and then I saw this great cyber Monday $5 a month for a 6 iPhone (fingerprint stuff could be nice and better than face recognition when I don't even recognize my own face some of the time) so I visited the Verizon store for a Q&A chat. The representative quickly talked me out of a 6, which I probably could have talked myself out of given another hour of contemplation, but he didn't really talk me into anything else. Do not get involved with there prepaid service. If you change carriers Verizon will keep any money left on the account and will not refund it I am very curious how much money Verizon steals monthly from people that change carriers. How there theft works is, say you pre pay $120 on your pay in advance account and your monthly bill is $60. You change carriers and there is $60 still pre paid on your account. They do not refund the $60 back to the original payment method, they keep it. Verizon acts so unaware this is happening. read more

My new phone was ordered to be shipped to me over a week ago. I got the confirmation email within a couple of hours saying it was shipped and gave me a Fed EX tracking number. It has been "Trapped" in Pennsylvania since the day after it was shown to be shipped. Verizon employees tell me that is between Fed EX and not their problem. Verizon picked the shipper and if there is a lost item claim THEY (Verizon) is supposed to make the claim. The whole crew at this location seem to want to take the "high road" and "that is what it is and don't bother me and go away as we are busy". My American Express card has PAID for the phone and now they really "don't care". I have been a customer of Verizon (for over 30 years) through being a customer of several companies that they have bought out. The coverage is great, but the support from at least this company location leaves a lot to be desired. I have been to other Verizon company stores and the personnel in the other stores seem to be willing and happy to take care of my needs and requests, but this is my "home location". read more

I gave my business card to the manager of this store to pass to the person that deals with business accounts. The manager called me up after I left and told me she wouldn't forward the card. I then started getting notifications she was accessing my account when I didn't give her the right to. Very unprofessional, won't be using this store ever again. read more

Very poor customer service. Employees were very unhelpful and rude and did not explain well. I asked multiple times for them to dumb down what they were trying to say, and they did not help me understand. Ended up going into another Verizon store in general. Terrible service! I broke my phone and came into the store with an older Samsung hoping to just swap out phones before leaving on a trip. I was told the older phone is not compatible any longer, and we would not be able to use it. Then told the cheapest phone or they could get me was 150, plus fees "and some other stuff" would make it about $220 (I did not have a lot to spend). But, i needed a phone for the trip, so I said okay. Then I was told they did not have that phone in stock and I could go to another store on the Northside. We left town, with no phone. We ended up going to a Verizon store in Olympia, and the amazing customer service person there switched out the SIM cards from the old phone and the broken phone for free in about 10 minutes. Since the older phone was still compatible with the 4G network it works perfectly. I will make sure i let everyone know not to go to the south hill Verizon! read more

Verizon does not treat its long time customers with any respect or great fullness for their loyalty. The only reason this store received one star is that they were the only store, corporate and non corporate that had the phone w/ gbs we wanted. We purchased the phone at Division, and had to pick it up at South Hill )a 1/2 hour away). We checked before we left Division, and we're told they would set the phone up for us so long as we had our Apple password. Perfect, we live in a rural area and do not have WiFi at home. We arrived at the South Hill store, and we spent about 5 minutes verifying our phone was their because the employee acted like she didn't know what we were talking about. Then we explained we needed to have it set up. She explained that we could set it up ourselves by turning the phone on.. After going around and around about this and it being made clear that they absolutely would not set up our phone, I told her to get our phone so we could just leave. My husband asked another associate who the manager was, and I had to inform him that we were dealing with the actual manager. Shameful customer service. Now we have to go to Starbucks and purchase overpriced crap so we don't feel guilty having to use their WiFi for something that should have been done at the Verizon store happily because we purchased our expensive Apple phone from them and asked for it to be done. read more

Worst phone retail experience I've ever had. They sold me a product on a plan that they couldn't honor. Then they were unable to take the phone the sold me as a return. Complete fraud and rip-off to make their numbers increase. They said they would look into the issue and call me back, they never did. Go anywhere else or use Verizon.com. Worst service I have ever had a Verizon store!! The staff seem annoyed and bored when you walk in (even though the stores is the size of a bedroom). I went in to upgrade my phone and the lady that worked there just pushed and pushed me into buying the most expensive phone...THEN she wanted me to add on $300 of additional accessories (literally). When I had second thoughts about spending over $500 on this whole thing, she became flustered and annoyed and then I called it off. The entire staff there seem like they missed out on how they wanted their lives to go and they are sullen; they feel compelled to exert superiority with a condescending air over all the customer! Worst service I have ever experienced. I went in there with my parents. And there were 4 employees and 2 customers being helped and 1 customer plus my parents waiting. Well we waited and water and the guy who checked us in happened to be the manager. Well after a good 30 min of waiting we asked him why he couldn't assist us. At this point 2 ppm who came in, left due to wait time. Anyways he stated "he wasn't qualified to do sales or speak with customers" dude you're the manager. Absolutely horrible place, system, and customer service. We will go to a different store. read more

HORRIBLE sevice .. just trying to call and ask a couple questions regarding a new iPhone given to me at work , re transferring, data , pics etc . Trying to contact a human other than the national line IMPOSSIBLE. Tried TWO stores.. first one , 3 calls , work thru prompts, ,, only to be told ive reached them after hours then hangs up. Second store , first call same results.. second call made it to nation line, no real help, told to just go in to store. Also will be buying a Fitbit type product and wanted to see what they had to offer... recommendations etc. Will Definitely Not be buying any products from Verizon. read more

So, being here a few times now, I have had mixed reviews. The first time, the customer service was spot on, luckily for them that same guy still works here or I would have given this place a 1 star. Unluckily, someone else was the one who helped me when I went in. To start out, I had questions, and a lot of them. I own 3 devices from Verizon and was hoping to be leaving with a 4th and an upgrade, instead I left almost stopping by AT&T in the same shopping center and canceling my services with Verizon. I didn't being a long time customer, but that is how off point this place was today. I had to explain what I wanted done several times, and the people who helped me seemed like I was more bothersome than I was a customer. They didn't seem to want to spend the time talking to me about the different services or options and weren't very clear in explaining things either. I actually felt like I was interrupting them, so I just left after the negative vibes. This Verizon is definitely the closest to me, but if I don't do what I need to do over the phone, I will be driving further to go out of my way to avoid this place. Actually, I will probably just switch phone providers once all my contacts are up. read more

The first review sums it up.... Spent $850 on a new i-phone 6 (in addition to the 12+ phones /ipads I have bought from them over the years. After being upgraded with "the best glass screensaver available"and a few "needed" accessories, I was on my way. One week later I got a small scratch from a quarter in my pocket in screensaver, within a day it spread across the whole screen. I went in to ask about any warranty and was told if I got the "good" screensaver it would have been covered, but since I didn't I was out another $40. Too bad I was never given that choice at time of purchase. Turn and churn operation, my initial sales guy was pretty good, I thought until I heard this news from "one of the other employees" that really doesn't get customer service and will make you feel like you are the handicapped one. This company has gotten too big to care anymore. If you can get coverage from ATT or Sprint go for it, but at the very least avoid this store on the South Hill. I have hired a few former Verizon employees that have told me how they are paid, beware of initial "caring" in protecting your purchase, when you are really being sold cheap inferior products that happen to have more mark up in it. ($$$$$$) If i was told I can spend 3 more $$$'s to get a warranty, what do you think i would have done?? I will probably get better service from EBAY and buying my replacement from a sweat shop in Korea... I work for the worlds largest car franchise and I will pass this along to anyone thinking about upgrading their phone for their new car. This is certainly not over $40, but gives you an idea how they would take care of you if you had a serious problem!!! read more
