Very disappointed in verizon. My mom has just passed. I called months back asking what needed to be done to clear up everything. Nothing needs to be done I was told. I went to the store because my 25-day-old iphone 16 had stopped working. Since my purchase date was well inside the 30-day window for a no questions asked return, I thought it made since to get a new phone. The salesman tried to convince me that nothing was seriously wrong with the phone since he was able to go in the back and do something to jump start it. Then he brought a female manager over who said the new technology was so super charged that sometimes it knocked the phone out. What???? When I politely demanded a new phone, she told me I had to go to the Verizon store at Bowie Town Center to make the switch. Immediately, I knew that was a lie. But I went to the Verizon store at the mall, where the manager questioned why the manger of the Victra store would tell me to do that. He said she definitely knows that the Victra store had to handle its own returns. I drove back to Victra where the sales person processed my return. I wouldn't do business with this store again. That was sooooooo unprofessional for the manager to try to spin a yarn about the new technology, and then telling me to drive to Bowie for my return. Someone shouild teach her how to provide good customer service. I could walk to this store from my house, but I won't go there again. I certainly won't refer my friends and neighbors. read more

I was at the store on November 13,2023 to change my cable box, the sales rep talked me into upgrading my iPhones. I only upgraded because he told me I can trade in my old iPhone for the new one, pay some fees and not have any more payments for the phone. So I upgraded mine and my husband's because it was a great deal. IT WAS A LIE. Recently I'm looking at my bill and it shows that I have monthly payments on both iPhones. I blame myself for believe him and not reading the paper work before signing. Please read your paperwork and instead of believing what you're being told. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT PARTICULAR LOCATION AGAIN. I wish I could give them a 0/10. read more

The service at this store is horrible and the agents tell you anything to get you signed up for new services. I went in last year to simply turn in one of my TV boxes that I no longer needed. I waited 20 minutes to speak to someone. The young lady immediately started asking me about my cell phone and telling me that it would soon be obsolete. She said that if I switched to Verizon Mobile, I could get a new Samsung phone free and my monthly bill would be close to the $50 I was currently paying. Low & Behold, when I got my first bill it was $95; almost double the price of my old provider. This year I found out that the free phone isn't really free when I wanted to change providers. It would only be free after staying with them 4 more years and paying their inflated price. Therefore, I had to shell out $400 to pay off the balance of the phone when I switched to Xfinity. I also dropped Verizon as my TV and Internet provider. Their prices kept rising and rising and the service steady declining. When I asked about replacing my old router that was about 15 years old and no longer serving some parts of my home, I was told my monthly rental fee would would increase. After calling the Verizon 800 agent to cancel my service, he told me that I could take the equipment to my local Verizon store and be sure to take the cords and remotes. When I get to this store, I'm told that they won't take the cords and remotes. I said that I can't use them and don't want them. The young man told me that I couldn't leave them there and had to take them with me. This is insane and so customer unfriendly. I will never recommend Verizon to anyone. read more

My recent experience at the Watkins Park Drive store was stellar, and this is following a regrettable experience at a DC location. I believe the young, tattooed gent's name was Aaron...smooth, friendly, and helpful. He went out of his way to fix what was clearly a system issue and instead of being delayed, he improvised, adapted, and overcame by issuing a paper receipt and exchanging my old equipment for new. In and out in under 10 minutes. The cat has manager written all over him...attention to customer service and decisive when it counted. read more

The Victra Verizon Watkins Park, MD location has the worst customer service. Expect to be waiting for hours to resolve your issues. I've spent days and over 3 hours each time I have visited this location trying to resolve set up and billing issues. Contacting Verizon 611 customer service is even worst. The customer service representatives will leave you on hold and never come back or disconnect you if you ask to speak with a supervisor to get help in resolving your issues. Also, check your bill closely. You are offered discounts when establishing your service agreement and have to keep tracking your bill each month to get them to issue you credits which will appear on the next billing cycle for promotions offered when you established your service agreement. Verizon use to be exceptional among its competitors. Not to mention, so many drop calls. What happened Verizon? Most of my family and friends did not mind paying extra for Verizon services but have all moved on to other carriers. I am taking my business elsewhere as well. read more

They have horrible service at the Victra Verizon Retail store in Watkins Park, MD location. They make you wait for extremely long and excruciating hours and still do not accomplish anything or solve the issue. Worse is that no one ever apologizes if they make a mistake or for wasting your time. If you happen to get stuck with one of the representatives there that does not know what he or she is doing, then that's even worse because no one else will assist you and they will keep referring you to that individual so that they can waste your time even more. Stay away from the representative named Josh. He is not skilled and requires help from his supervisor every single step along the way. I am an extremely dissatisfied customer who will take my business elsewhere. I have been a loyal Verizon customer for over two decades but because of the horrible treatment at the Watkins Park Verizon store, I will be changing service providers immediately. read more

I just had a terrible experience with this store--enough to make me consider canceling my new Verizon Fios service. When I ordered my new service, I was told by the phone agent that it would be easy to pick up my new router at a Verizon store. The closest store to me is this one--a half hour drive away. When I finally got there, the store was chaos--at least 25, maybe 30 people waiting for service, with seemingly no order to the process. Nobody greeted me. Nobody asked what kind of help I needed, took my name to add to a queue, or gave me a sense of how long the wait would be. After standing there for more than a half hour with no idea whether I would ever get service or how long it would take (it should have taken just a few seconds for someone to hand me the box containing my new equipment), I left. Then I had another half hour drive home, then a half hour on the phone with Verizon to get a new router shipped to me, since picking up a router at this store is clearly not a realistic option. Fortunately the phone agent was gracious and agreed to waive the usual shipping charge. But I've wasted an entire morning on this project, I am now several more days from receiving my router, and I am not a happy camper. Did I mention that I was *this* far away from simply canceling service and finding another provider? read more

I was in dire need of a router booster to improve my home high speed internet (DSL) hooked into my landline only to learn that my online order was cancelled without my knowledge! So, I do the next best thing, go to the Verizon store to purchase this item. Well, that was a waste of time because the Verizon salesperson was absolutely WORTHLESS! She knew NOTHING!!! No idea what DSL was. No idea what type of router I needed but offered to sale me a$300 router for FIOS not DSL. I told her the item is on Verizon website under Accessories. She didn't even try to look up the router! Instead she tells me to call the customer service number but don't give me the phone number!! I ran out of time and patience. So I left. read more

I started a new business account with Verizon in July and I have had a bad time with them starting from the beginning, starting with no signal and dropped calls and it is still going on and I have called and have went back to the store and several other things have been done and still no better it has gotten worse I have had several customer service reps and supervisors lie to me I have spent several hours on the phone and going to the store and I am very disappointed in how Verizon is handling me and my account and I have been treated as if I'm a pier and I've been told they are giving me a credit and then I have to call back to find out it has not been done also I have been hung up on several times and then I'll get a text saying sorry we got disconnected and they will call me back and I have been put on hold and then no one comes back and I have lost a lot of business because of the service Because I don't get the calls or my text and voicemails come days later can't trust or believe anything they say read more

Horrible experience! I went in to purchase a new phone. I informed Will that I did not need any accessories as I had already purchased a cover with a screen protector. I told him I did not need a car charger. I get home to discover he charged me for a car charger, cord, block, and a $65 screen protector! Everything was out of the boxes. The screen protector was put on my phone! I went back the next day to return it all and they would not refund my $65 for the screen protector cause it was open, I am not the one that opened it! I feel like Will stole from me cause I NEVER said I want the items and NEVER told him to put the screen protector on my phone! My return receipt says buyers remorse what! the only remorse I have is going to the Kettering store! Oh and I purchased a watch and they did not put the charger back in the box! Luckily they remembered me and remembered that they charged the watch and found the charger! A 26 year customer and treated horrible! They should have refunded me for the screen protector and taken it out of Will's paycheck! Horrible! I also just found out when trying to register a screen protection product that it does not qualify for the one year screen reimbursement program as promised by Cathryn... that was the ONLY reason I purchased them and she knew that. Horrible customer service!! Extremely long lines and long waiting time. I went there today to simply drop off old equipment. I put all the tv boxes and cords in the box they sent for shipment back to Verizon. The equipment was heavy to carry and it wasn't until I got close enough to the door window until I saw the sign in the window which stated that you need to go online and check-in to receive a text which will let you know when you can enter. After getting inside the store, it was then that I learned the store only wants the t.v. boxes for return. Not the cords or remotes. Then the guy who waited on me told me to take the boxes back with me as they didn't have trash to dispose of them. Told me to go across the parking lot to the dumpster outside to dispose of the boxes. I found the dumpster which was surrounded by a locked gate. Horrible Customer Service!!! I received excellent service today from Jalloh. I walked right in and there was no wait. Not only did he activate my cell phone but also my iPad as well. He also synced the two together. My only worry was losing my mother's pictures. I told him that she recently passed. He offered his sympathies and the first thing he looked for after the data transfer was complete was my mom's pictures. Everything was there! Everybody was so friendly.
