Exchanged our iPhone 12d for new iPhone 16s! Corey was so very helpful and he made the whole experience go very smoothly. It did help that I had our Verizon wireless bill with us. We had no cost for the new phones and will be paying less per month. One of the managers, Kathy stopped over to thank us for staying with Verizon! Horrible customer service! Went in to verify my military discount, 5 employees standing around, NO customers. No smiles, positive greetings. I asked to verify my discount, the guy took my ID, sent me a text message, after a bit the website didn't work so he came back and said, well I can take a picture of it. Went to the desk, we were sitting there waiting (all employees still just talking) I received a text message that it was approved, then had to ask the guy if there was anything else and he said no....All 5 employees need customer service and basic business etiquette training......we got there at 4:45, they don't close until 6 so it's not like we were holding them up from leaving for the day...smh... Next day Update: I received a confirmation letter from Verizon and my military discount was not even applied to MY phone number.....so back to a DIFFERENT Verizon store.... read more

Lots of bad reviews for this store. I think that is historical. Customer service was fantastic. I have been here 3 times and will keep coming back. Words cannot even begin to express how appreciative I am for this locations manager, Charles. He literally saved a 10 year customer from canceling a 6 line account because of his exceptional service. Charles went above and beyond to help my family and I with a very stressful situation with one of our phone lines. I have never received such great customer service before. He was not only extremely professional, he made no excuses and was solution focused. I went to this store simply to get an iPhone 11 case. Yes they had a couple of cases (overpriced) I waited about 20 minutes with case in hand to checkout. There was a service rep in the back of the store chatting it up with someone else not related to purchasing anything in the store. My mother is 75 years old and is not internet savvy so, I am writing this review for her. She went into the Hilltop store twice once in December and then again 1/19/2019. She was told today the reason her autopay was not working was the fault of her bank. Since then was told to go to her back for help. Of, course they were able to help her make a payment. She spent 45 minutes in the bank today. The bank called Verizon themselves and figured out Verizon did not have the correct expiration date. So, a salesperson at Verizon couldn't figure that out. Why? Too busy trying to make sales. This is poor customer service where twice no one thought to check her bank card and update her information. She was going to Verizon and then to her bank. Guess what. She does not drive and it's winter. Verizon expertise is selling phones and that is it. My recommendation is everyone needs training on making sure the customer's problem is resolved before leaving the store. This a no brainer. Senior Citizens especially needs their phone for health emergencies and it is unacceptable to turn them away saying they can't fix an auto pay bill problem when all needed to be done was to check her card information. This happened twice. Come on Verizon you can do better than this or at least this is what your commercials are saying. read more

I find this to be one of the better Verizon Wireless stores I've visited over the years, especially in regards to the staff being more technically oriented, and able to field more in-depth questions about device capabilities and software. There is a nice mix of sales and technical folks here (of course, I know they're all sales-oriented --- just some not so obviously so), and, after a few visits, you'll find one or two of the group that you'll bond with, and be able to have more in-depth conversations with, than most any other wireless store I've visited, either Verizon or AT & T. And the Android - iPhone split is almost comical here --- virtually all the women are iPhone types, and the guys are all Android fans (although they all speak both Apple and Android fluently). So unlike most of these places, I don't get too frustrated with a visit here, and usually actually enjoy myself when I stop in. read more

First all, I HATE going into Verizon. There is always a wait and it seems like everyone there is irritated (customers). Now this location? Exceeded my expectations! The first associate to greet me was Wyatt and he was GREAT. He analyzed my plan and let me know what rates would be with my upgrade and different options. Friendly, personable, and knowledgable. I then had Todd R. help me as he previously helped me before. Just like Wyatt, Todd was super knowledgable and gave me options that I really felt he placed himself in my shoes and showed me the difference as it would apply in my own life. Two great associates. Horrible customer service. This is the second time Verizon has screwed up my installation order. Not only do they screw it up, but then they can't help you with questions or answers ! They redirect you to call their customer service line because they're supposedly not allowed the info about the technicians and installations. That's a lie. They're ignorant and just rude. Their excuses range from lack of communication, to their workers being on strike. Well, the workers are off strike now.... so I'm not understanding that excuse. If I could go zero, or negative here, I would. A week ago I ordered a new phone to be picked up in the store at Laskin Road. When I showed up, they could not find an order, at all. Tricia sent me a text after I left to tell me the business customer service agent in the store went into my account to update my business profile so I would be sure to get the perks. Updates, okay, thanks. Still, no sign of the order other than seeing online where it was processed, check back later. No tracking number, so Tricia said - come in tomorrow morning and we will fix. I arrived at 10 am, Dan Perkins arrived to work (seemingly late, with a smoothie in hand) and I did not leave the store until 11:20am. I was on the phone for an hour with a Verizon work, Sam, who shared the fun fact that the store worker cancelled my order. Dan refused to listen to Sam, and instead started talking over Sam on the phone and within minutes was demanding Sam's full name. Sam was trying to get a phone in my hands that day -given the previous mess up, but Dan insisted he could not sell me the phone with same discount and fee waiver I had received online, which was 250 off phone and upgrade fee of 40 dollars waived. Duh, no thanks. So Sam and I spoke off speaker phone, working to resolve the problem and while Dan inserted complaints and comments in my record, sigh. As I made my way out, he said - glad we could help you. Dan, you didn't help me. What's worse, Sam lives and works from El Paso, TX and he has to deal with corporate Verizon rep speaking to him like that just days after mass shooting in his community? Twit. Now, four chats later, more credits added to my account, NO Fn PHONE. While Sam was helpful, Verizon cannot seem to make correction in my email address and so Sprint, HERE I COME. I've had a business account for years with several lines, auto payments ... and this was the first new phone I've ever TRIED to purchase! An epic fail... read more

I visited the Hilltop Verizon store on December 13. The representative that helped me was awesome. She did not feel good but still was very friendly, professional and helpful. She helped me in picking out and ordering my new phone. She answered all of my questions and even upgraded me to a better data plan. This was the best experience I have ever had at a Verizon store. It was the third time I have visited this store overall and each time the representatives were great to work with. I will make this my main Verizon store going forward. read more

Absolute trash internet service provider for Virginia Beach. If you want the slowest internet possible for your home or business this is the company to get your internet service through. Worthless and over priced. Top speed 1mbps connection.... seriously I have started to just use my ATT cell phone hot spot so I can get things done fester. As soon as I walked in an older lady "told" me she was going to help me. No introduction, no proper greeting, nothing. And as soon as I told her what I wanted to do with my plan she immediately told me I had to do this this & this. She was unpleasant, unprofessional, and rude. I was absolutely disgusted. I don't remember her name but she wore red glasses. STAY AWAY FROM HER. I'm shocked that this is how this location treats they're military. horrible store. associates are clueless about technology and only care about upselling you. While i was in there 2 other customers where furious with the service and the associates inability to correct or resolve their problem. I brought a phone in for repairs and it was returned to me without the sim cards. the associate tried to tell me she didnt remove them and went on to try and defend her actions by saying she had witnesses... liars always expand on their stories to try and make them believable. Extremely disappointed and frustrated with the switch from another reputable mobile service carrier to Verizon. Does not handle business accounts properly, regardless of how many times you contact them. Our business went to collections with the other carrier as we counted on Verizon to handle the switch. They are rude and will yell at you, and tell you to shut up, then try to make you spend money. I changed my plan and number just because they were so unhelpful and I couldn't bear to deal with their rudeness anymore. I bought and set up my phone there with a Samsung J6. It cracked and I wanted to put my SIM card in another phone. First of all every old phone I had, including 'Verizon' phones "Werent Compatible" they said. My 'Only option' was to buy another phone, their 'cheapest' smart phone is "200$'. Also the morons there typed that I was using an iPhone, which made it very complicated when I argued that the Samsung J6 in my hand was the one with the number. I mean, I bought it there, set up the number there- NEVER with an iPhone, but they acted like I was wrong! Seriously?!?! I went to Walmart and bought another Samsung phone, then the Verizon store said 'it won't work because it's for a different plan'. When I was asking my options, the guy rudely said 'LISTEN, You want me to help you or not! You can buy a new phone or not!' I told them they are all rude and not helpful and left. I switched my number to another plan and phone which in itself is pathetic. It's all hilarious, all around the world if someone cracks a phone, it's cheap to fix, NOT HERE AND NOT VERIZON. Also the way they act like every problem only has 1 answer BUY A NEW PHONE, CUSTOMER IS WRONG. DONT GO HERE.
