I was at the beach in Manzanita & my mom fell in the ocean with my phone! I took the cover off, dried it off & Put it in a bag of rice overnight. It started working again but wouldn't charge. I drove up to this Verizon store in Astoria after calling them & a wonderful gentleman said he would take a look at it. He was there when I arrived & took his flashlight & tweezers & looked into to the charging portal. Nothing there. He checked the water damage indicator which was just a little red. Finally, he placed it on a wireless charger for a few minutes & yippee! It started charging! So I bought a wireless charging unit & headed back to Manzanita! Customer Service is non-existent. My wife got a new iPhone 8 two days after Thanksgiving. The selection of screen protectors (not cases, just screen protectors) was limited, and we got talked into a $30 Pure Gear screen protector. Within 3 weeks, it was chipped and cracked. Not the screen, just the screen protector. If the screen protector is that fragile, how can we rely on it to protect the phone? She hadn't dropped the phone. This just happened on its own. Well, we live 5.5 hours away, but knew we'd be in the area around MLK, Jr Weekend. So we stopped in, and explained this to one of the sales representatives. He listened, and then said bluntly, 'We can replace it for $20, or you can contact the manufacturer.' Way to stand behind the products you sell - charge us another 67% to replace the defective product, or duck behind the manufacturer! I seriously doubt we'll be back. read more

December 17th, 2021 I purchased in full, a new iPhone13 Pro Max. Price was $1110. I traded in my iPhone 11 Pro Max for a $440. I paid the remaining balance of $670 in cash. I have a receipt for the transaction. Verizon however, sees fit to bill me monthly for Device Payment, although I own the phone. After several calls [6 so far] to both Cellular Sales & Verizon Corporate, I am unable to resolve this issue. Verizon Corporate reps tell me [understandably] that " we don't have a record that shows you paid for your device". Cellular Sales has been no help on this issue, I continue to be billed for an iPhone I own due to ineptitude of the staff at Cellular Sales. read more

Bad Experience: (not gonna mention names, although I could) So I went in and was in work clothes (I'm a cars salesman) and was just asking about promotions for the new iPhone 12 and possibly switching... The Sales Rep that I was with asked if I sell cars, obviously I said yes. I asked the Rep if they liked their Sales position at Verizon. The Rep replied "Yeah I do, and I probably make more than you do" and then proceeded to brag about how much they made in commission... I hope the Rep that helped me reads this, because I'd like to give you some advice. First off: Thats a highly inappropriate statement to make to ANY of your customers no matter what kind of job they do or don't have. Second: I get we are both in Sales but trying to claim you make more money is mind blowing to me... You shouldn't be in some sort of competition with your customers. You are their friend, their guide, their helper, etc... Third: to top it off you were wrong. You don't make more and you honestly embarrassed yourself. Me and my Co-workers had a chuckle when I told them about your commission pay...But what if you did make more? What does it mean? Why even bring something like that up? Did you think I was gonna give you a high five? I'm not sure what you were trying to get out of telling me that...Ya know... maybe if you get off your high horse, don't let your selfish ego take over and actually be a legitimate sales rep, you might make more... Needless to say I won't be switching to Verizon. This is my first trip into a Verizon store and it'll be my last. Your lack of respect and common decency lost you 3 New lines, and 3 phone sales, not even including the accessories I would of gotten for the phones too. I've been in sales for 5+ Years and even as a young salesman I would have NEVER gotten into a financial competition with my customers. Honestly it doesn't even have to do with Sales experience this is just COMMON SENSE. Obviously you need to take a step back and go RE-LEARN your ABC's of Sales... hint...when a customer comes in it's ALL about the customer, NOT you. I honestly don't mean to lay into you so harshly but this is just some legitimate criticism that you need to consider. BEWARE OF DISHONEST PRACTICES. When my husbands phone quit working (for no apparent reason), and we still had 6mos. left to pay on it, we brought it back to the Verizon store in Warrenton, Oregon. We thought it was still under warrenty and at the very least we believed we had insurance. We were told we did NOT have insurance, but we still believed it was under warrenty. The sales person brought a phone to my husband and asked if that particular phone would be alright. Thinking it was under warrenty he agreed and we left the store. Once I realized we were paying higher monthly payments, I called and was told the phone acutually cost us $680.00!!!! After multiple phone calls to Verizon Wireless and Verizon Cellular Sales in Warrenton, Oregon with every confidence this would be resolved or at least some kind of fair negotiation would be considered, we ended up with a lousy $25.00 credit. I am beyond angry and disgusted. I will NEVER do business with Verizon again! read more

Came back the next day, because the SIM card my husband had wouldn't work in my old phone (the Verizon dude also had said that he would be able to) So then this second dude tells us we have to pay for the sim, we got the sim.. get home and get online to get it set up, and find out we could have ordered one for free. I was told to save some money that I should by a sim card online and that they would be happy to move my files from my old card the the new. I purchased a phone fron the Warrenton location and the sales person asked me if I wanted to purchase a warranty with my new phone and I declined because it was a brand new phone and did not think anything would go wrong with it right away. Well with in a couple of months my phone stopped working so I took in it to see if maybe one of the sales people would help me out .I was promptly told that because I had not purchased their warranty there was nothing anyone could do . So I took the phone to one of their competitors down the road in Warrenton and they said that phone was under one year old which meant that the manufacture would fix it for free and there was no need to purchase the stores warranty . I called the 800 number for Verizon was told the same thing .. the phone its self has a warranty so I was given bad information at that store . I took the phone back to the Warrenton store explained the situation again , they again refused to fix my phone because I did not purchase their warranty . I hate buying a new phone, and was dreading it with the COVID 19 issue on top of everything else. But I went to the Warrenton Cellular Sales office and had curb side help! Liz Adkins couldn't have been more helpful and everything was done with social distancing. I didn't leave my car. It was the best phone buying experience that I have had. She was so knowledgable, friendly and helpful. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to have a very easy upgrade to a new phone. She didn't try to up sell me or force anything on top of what I wanted. She also followed up when I had some questions about how to make the transition to the new phone. I bought my phone three months ago and when I bought it I bought the most expensive glass and to be put on my phone for $60 the guy who he said was the manager told us that if we wanted it to be replaced you could only do it at stores that were under their company so we drove two hours to get my glass replaced. We got to the store and the lady said it wasn't cracked enough and they wouldn't do it for free and was nasty about it . she was so rude would not recommend this Verizon. I went to this store looking specifically to upgrade my Apple Watch to the 3. They didn't have any of these available, however. I thought well- I'm an hour away from home, and I really wanted to make the trip worth while. I asked if they had iPad pros- I told her specifically that I'm interested in the newest models because I think it's a waste of money to buy an older model when they are always upgrading- (paraphrasing- I said that but in a nicer way)-the sales clerk says oh yes, absolutely! And yes.. they do have iPad pros, but only 32 gb. I was pretty surprised at that- as it seemed like their available stock was *extremely limited. She said I could order what I wanted- but I would have to come back. I didn't want to have to make another trip, as I said- I live an hour away. I decided my phone has a capacity for 256 gb and I just wanted the iPad as a secondary and maybe I could just "work with it". Naively- I didn't realize the iPad Pro didn't come in only 32 gb, nor did it come in a 9.7 inch size. (I remembered it came in two different sizes and one was similar to my kindle fire, and the other was about 12 inches- so ‍) I also didn't expect to be completely swindled, lied to, or misled. I'm naive and hopeful that way. I took the iPad home and I didn't even really have a chance to look at it right away- I got home at midnight, I had to be at work at 8am- you know the drill. When I did look at it- I noticed little things. I was thinking I was surprised the display wasn't as sharp as my 7+. I'm not used to working on an iPad, so I assumed maybe that was part of it. At some point between working 50 hours a week, I had enough time to mess around with this iPad to realize that there were too many odd pieces in this puzzle. I researched online and figured out: They had either lied or been grossly misinformed when labeling and selling their products. They took a regular 32 gb iPad and sold it to me at the same price I could have bought a 64 gb iPad Pro. Almost double the price for a two year contract, and over a hundred dollars over retail. I was the biggest Pollyanna blind idiot on the planet to not pay more attention and to take a sales person at face value for anything. I called Verizon at this point and because this store is only in all actuality a Verizon retailer- All they could do was credit my account, otherwise I would have to go back and return the device (or just so they could adjust the price) but they were extremely confused as well. The (extremely helpful) customer service rep even said, "I double checked to make sure, and I can't find anything that says that these stores are allowed to charge their own prices for equipment." I didnt have the time to take off work, so I just asked her to please credit my account- and I would buy the iPad and then purchase the Pro I really wanted. All in all- Not impressed with this store. And I'm upset that a store that I was so glad to find in a convenient location had to end on this note- I am super impressed with Verizon stepping in to handle it on their end, though. read more
