This is the absolute worst cell phone store. They stole my wife's iPhone. She traded it in for a new one in September 2025, and today, January 22nd 2026, after many follow up calls we still have not received any cash or credit. I've worked with AT&T, T-Mobile, and now Verizon, and this has been by far the worst experience. Signing up and buying a new phone here takes longer than any other store (well over an hour). They lie about prices/promotions/discounts and sign you up for different plans and extra lines. It takes multiple follow ups to get any corrections. We witnessed a worker and a customer get into physical fight which required police intervention here. Some shady business practices are going on here. Verizon company even agreed with me to not go back. I traded in my iPhone for an upgraded one. I told them I didn't want the old one anymore. They transferred my data, reset the old phone in front of me and kept it. However, when I looked at my bill, they were still charging me for my old phone, which had a new number. The Verizon Corporate Rep stated it was not returned to the warehouse. So, the store kept my phone and was still charging me for it. They told me nothing about keeping my phone and getting a new number! They have my phone still! Also, when they transferred the data, they didn't transfer any of my apps. That should be standard. Plus, 2 people came in behind me and they were helping them while they were in the middle of helping me. I'm appalled at their business practices. Will never go back. read more

I can't say enough great things about this location! The manager, Safire, was especially helpful. She went above and beyond in her customer service with my trade in and purchase. I had a later issue and she fixed things very quickly! I will return to this location. read more

I visited the store to transfer my services from another carrier. Upon entering, I was promptly greeted and informed that someone would be with me soon as they were assisting other customers. I waited for about 15 minutes before Christina, the next available representative, came to assist me. She was very welcoming and answered all my questions thoroughly. From there, I initiated the transfer of services, and Christina patiently explained everything, including the first bills. She ensured that I had everything taken care of before I left the store. First, if I could give this location 0 stars I would...... and sorry this is long but I'm so frustrated! I went to Russell Cellular in LeGrange, IL with my daughter on April 4, 2025 looking to upgrade both of our phones. Safire seemed knowledgeable and willing to guide us in this process. She told us that if we added a line to our plan that it would reduce the cost of our monthly plan. This didn't make sense and I expressed that we didn't need another line as the 3 we had was all we would ever use and didn't need another line. My daughter and I both got new IPhone 16's that day and she traded her phone in. I still had a balance and said I'd just like to pay that balance off (was only about $200) and was going to be receiving the $1000 towards a new phone promo. My daughter traded her phone in but for some reason Safire told me I was to keep mine - still not sure that this makes sense to me. The receipt that we left the store with had 2 amounts that we had paid - the 1st was the total of their store set up fees and accessories and the 2nd amount was approximately the amount of the balance due on my IPhone 13. Therefore, since I had said I wanted to pay my Iphone 13 in full and the line item for that amount only stated (IL-LaGrange) it made sense that this was the amount and my phone was paid in full. The next day I was reviewing what our plans were on My Verizon and found that between my husband, my daughter and me, we didn't all have the same plan. 2 lines had switched while the 3rd had not. And then I noticed an additional $10 charge on my daughters' line for 100GB hot spot. This didn't make sense as we hadn't discussed this so we went back into the store the next day to ask about this. Safire told us that was a "promotion" that Verizon was running and that it was free for the 1st month and then they would charge us $10 a month after that. EXCEPT there wasn't anything mentioned about this and my daughter doesn't ever use her hot spot but we were going to pay $10 a month for her to have 100GB?! In other words, this was added to my daughters' line without consent. When the 1st statement generated, I saw that an additional line had been added ($130.39). This was the additional line that she kept saying we should add and it would reduce our monthly bill. I called our local Verizon store in Colorado and asked if I could come in for some assistance with my statement. They were a bit puzzled by why a line was added and told me that my phone was still showing a balance due. They, with my request, called to speak to Safire in LeGrande to see if she could shed some light on these questions. Once on the line she was trying to explain some of these questions but wasn't making sense. She said that I didn't want to pay off my Iphone 13 and that we had consented to an extra line (right after she said that she has so many customers she can't remember what each one wants). It was obvious we weren't going to accomplish getting our issues resolved and so asked for her district managers name, she abruptly said "oh, have a nice day" and hung up. If you have nothing to hide, then why not let your district manager handle it?! In the meantime, I am still paying on a phone that I had intended to pay off (and thought I had) and I paying for an extra "dumby" line with no phone attached to it that I don't want. read more

Terrible customer service. I went there to upgrade my son's phone and get a free iPad with the upgrade. They tried to up charge me all these fees and taxes to be almost $300. Deceptive practices! Now I'm on the phone with Verizon fixing this mess. read more

Be weary of ridiculous service charges. Typically, a company should tell a customer about fees associated with their service BEFORE performing the service. Setting up a iPhone is $25? It is literally clicking 6 buttons after you turn on the iPhone. They also sold an off brand screen protector for $40 because "it carries the same warranty as Zagg" according to their associates (except it doesnt.) It's evident that their in-store associates get sales commission, because they will nickel and dime you wherever they can. Since they won't refund, posting this so the next person can avoid this terrible customer experience. read more

Trying to figure out where to start. My first attempt to get a new phone I arrived to a sign on the door saying they would be back at 3...not the most convenient thing during the middle of the week for a store with limited hours. A few days later I returned 5 minutes to 3 to see the same sign on the door...this time I waited until 3:45 before I finally gave up. Not to be deterred I went back in but the line millennial employee was with another client...after waiting 30 minutes without the employee even acknowledging my presence, I walked out. If you're lucky enough to find an employee in the store and there is no one else there, this may be the place for you...otherwise I would suggest going to Best Buy where they have plenty of employees waiting to help. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE. Went in there and there was an hour wait.. fine I waited. Then they took me with an employee and who tried to transfer my data to the wrong phone. Told me she made an error and that she will get the other phone I requested. This took 30 minutes already. So now been there 1hr 30minutes. They told me it would be about 30 more minutes to hook up the correct phone. I drove home to grab my lap top to send some urgent emails. Came back worked for 15 minutes and then they tell me they do not have that phone on stock. It would take a week to come in then I have to come back in a week and do the transfer. They also couldn't help me find a store in the area that has the phone I need to get. I was so friendly and accommodating the whole time and got fu*ked over. Make sure you ask questions. Especially regarding any charges that may apply to what you are buying. All they want to do is sell devices with no explanation of any incurring charges from the parent company. I purchased a wifi device and all they could tell me how fortunate I was it was on sale. Nothing about a 2 year contract, activation or deactivation charges. Thanks to them I had a 3 month war with Verizon and got so disgusted with their corporate greed I'm now with Consumer Cellular. 15 years with Verizon and thanks to the lack of information from this store it is no more. read more

I have no idea why these stores even exist. It certainly isn't for customer service because the representative i had (Danella) was incredibly rude. I was the only customer in the store and she 1) mostly ignored me and played on her phone 2) did not provide any answers to direct questions 3) did not seek to solve any problems 4) interrupted me repeatedly. I wish her boss (Doug Van Oosten) had been there to oversee the interaction. I came in from the Hodgkins store that didn't really treat me well but these guys provided the service that I was really looking for. They helped me switch to a new phone and save money on my bill. I went to the LaGrange Verizon store yesterday and had an extremely disappointing experience. One female employee was not helpful at all and just gave short answers. It was like she didn't want to be there doing that job. I recognized the manager, Andrea, and waited 20 minutes to speak to her about trading in my phone for a newer model AND getting a smart watch. She stepped away and started taking care of another customer who had arrived after I did! She was getting his merchandise and after I complained, she told me, Let me just ring him up. THEN, the other employee got an angry customer whose phone had been shut off for lack of payment. Yelling, aggressive behavior and, of course, no customer service for anyone in the whole store once again. More experience and professionalism are needed. I will say that that is not always the case though. One employee, named Christian, has always been fast, attentive, and well informed about products. The next day, I ended up at the Verizon store in Hinsdale, and in roughly 30 minutes, the options were discussed, the transaction decided, ordered, ... and I'll pick up my new phone and smart watch at the end of the week!! There are usually 3 employees during the day at the Hinsdale location and they are experienced, courteous, and fast, making it a pleasant experience. read more

My daughter was in dire need of a new phone. As we walked into the store, we were told there was a 30 minute wait. There were only two workers, one of them flirtatiously speaking to a customer twice her age while attempting to help another. The other was about 20, calling up others to help with her issues and her obsession with phone cases. The wait actually ended up being 2 hours with no ability to schedule an appointment. My kids were stuck playing dumb games and losing brain cells. I would never go there again. Save your time and do not come here, EVER! read more

Sadly and sorry to say that there is nothing good about this store other than the location. I went here because the corporate store that I always used was closed for remodeling. In particular, Luis appeared friendly but TOTALLY OVER SOLD to make commission and actually LIED to me about the contract for the phone he sold to me. He played the game of negotiating pricing with his manager, JUST LIKE A CAR SALESMAN- which took over 2 hours and was beyond exhausting. I now have a phone that costs me $50 a month (which I didn't want/ don't even like) and then he put a helmet shield overlay on another phone that I own for $100 which cracked in the first month. Totally frustrating and beyond expensive experience. WILL NEVER GO BACK. read more
