No hard sell-ever. I came in last night because my phone was dying (after four years, so I can't complain). I'm on a budget and tech challenged. Mariana came to the rescue. We found a phone I could afford, a plan I could afford, then she sat down with me for over an hour; transferring all of my information from my old to my new phone. She added the apps I use, updated the information, and made sure that everything worked before I left. And this, was while all of her colleagues were leaving, and the store was about to close. Shawn the store manager would not help us solve the issue we were experiencing with our wireless device, even though he said he could have. He told us to go online because "he wanted to help other customers instead." He felt he did his job by telling us to go online. After having made several trips here, I can't imagine worse customer service. You'll wait a minimum of an hour just to talk to someone, even if you have an appointment, which I always do. They blame it on "staffing issues" every single time. And if you're patient to wait it out, don't expect them to have a clue once you do talk to them. read more

While this store has low Yelp reviews, our experience was outstanding. My wife accidentally damaged her iPhone. Michelle at the La Grange store was professional, warm, helpful, and completely got her set up with an upgrade to the phone at a surprisingly low promotional price. I was visiting the United States from a foreign country, staying LaGrange, IL. I needed a second simcard for a month. I was unable to receive or make any telephone calls for an entire month: LaGrange, IL: Iowa, Wisconsin, New Jersey, and Massachusetts. The internet only worked about 25% of the time. In LaGrange the internet worked while I was in one store and two blocks away the internet did not work. If you are traveling to the United States, I do not recommend using At & T. The cost for one month was $90.00. read more

Amazing customer service at this location. All of the employees are attentive and tend to care about your needs. I've been to a lot of different AT&T locations and I can honestly say I was pretty impressed with this one. I don't know if it's because of great management but this location stands out from the rest. I recently went to a near by location before I visited this one and the service was 10000% better at this location. Is that percentage even possible!? When I walked in the store at this specific location the young lady at the door accompanied me with a smile. Might I add this store was about to close in less than 15 minutes, and I didn't feel rushed. This store is nicely decorated, has plenty of parking nearby and awesome associates that are actually ready and willing to help. I was impressed with this location and will always choose this one over the one near Walmart in Hodgkins/Countryside because they seem more patient here and better trained, solely based on my personal experience. This place is absolute garbage. We bought my mother in law a new iPhone for Christmas (from ATT) she went to activate it and the customer service was absolutely atrocious. The gentleman was so rude, did not help her set anything up, said she had to go to the apple store for help. He basically activated her phone and sent her on her way, didn't explain the Apple ID, how to download apps or anything. It took her 8 hours at home to get it work. Such an A-HOLE. Small, busy, busy location yet appropriately staffed. There were four reps on duty when we arrived a little after 12pm on a Thursday afternoon. A steady stream of people pouring in and all the reps were busy. However, one industrious young man while in the midst of serving a customer, excused himself momentarily to acknowledge the 5-6 customers waiting in the store. Esvan Rivera, armed with a notepad came from behind the counter and created a waiting list of the people awaiting there turn. Well, this was a huge thing for him to do because there wasn't a number machine thingy to give you a number to wait your turn and the place is too small to form a line. Well, we all breathed a sigh of relief after he took our names and we used our waiting time to browse the phones and products on the wall. When it was our turn to be served we got Esvan, (lucky us)! In all fairness, the other reps seemed to be doing a great job in servicing their customers. We spent over an hour with Esvan because I transferred from Sprint to AT&T (kept my same phone number by the way----that's HUGE) and merged accounts with my husband. All in all the service we received was fast, focused and friendly....oh and knowledgeable. We got two great phones, the Palm Pre Plus. The difference between this phone and the iPhone....about 200 bucks, but this one does everything it can do. We got $100 instant rebate and $149 (x2) in FREE products for EACH of our new phones. I would give a negative 5 star review if it were possible. This store will give you false information as they did with me switching my plan to what I was told would be cheaper but cost me an extra $100 a month. Contacted corporate customer retention several times and they are unwilling to help at all. Revisited the retail location several times and spoke with multiple managers and they continue to take no accountability or offer any solutions. Update to this store: What has happened to customer service? This store has no idea how to treat a customer. After issues once again with false information an employee here provided me I received no satisfaction other than sorry they should not have told you that. Well guess what they did. Where is the accountability? When asked to speak with the manager Manny I was treated like I was in no way an important customer. I have accounts with ATT Uverse, mobile and Direct TV. I told Manny that's fine I will cancel all my accounts and he didn't have a care in the world. I had a question on our bill that I was not able to get resolved on-line or calling customer service, so this morning we went to the LaGrange store for assistance. Eddie was the gentleman that took care of us and he was very knowledgeable about the AT&T products. He reviewed our bill and took his time explaining what options were available to us. I wish there was a way I could put -5. I trade it in an iPhone X for a Samsung 21 ultra. I did not like the phone & I had it for Less than 24 hours. I was charged a $55 restocking fee not to mention that my screen protector was removed that I paid $50 for. They will not replace it . This store is run with a used car salesman mentality. Just say anything to complete the sale. I say this based on two separate experiences. The first time the representative lied about my wife's plan and tried to get her to switch to a more expensive plan. My wife had to look up her plan online while in the store to "prove" to the rep she already had a better plan. He then stumbled his words tried to explain it as he didnt know about her already in place plan. Then tried to upsell us everything in the store. He had no idea what he was doing except trying to sell us stuff we dont need. We had a 2nd experience, in talking about cable tv and the rep told lie after lie about DirectvNow. Said 72 hour playback for all channels(not real its only for a few channels), he lied about what was included in the plan(had to talk to someone online after) Lied about the costs(several hidden charges that we specifically asked about) The managers are just as bad. As soon as my phone is paid off I will be cancelling all of my ATT products as they literally will say anything to complete a sale whether its true or not. After an hour of saying that they could transfer me to a new plan I was told they couldn't, but not before porting my existing phone number into the abyss so I lost it. Literally 4 hours of calls and a follow up took place before it was finally resolved by moving to Verizon after mind numbing discussions with both carriers. Had new phone/new account online but won't activate head to the store and basically tell me I'm on my own because didn't purchase it at the store they put me on the phone with customer service and CS says has to be on the store told the manager David and he put me on bottom of the the wait list after almost 2 hours left without help so frustrated ending going to other store and they resolve the issue for me. Customer service will say they will look into it and quote almost the price that was given when signing up, about $50 less, and that it will take a few cycles to go through. I went in on Sunday at approx 3:30 p.m. to upgrade to the new iPhone 6 plus. The Store was busy but the wait was not that terrible (30-40 mins). I was met with a friendly sales person named Oriece who promptly helped me. Due to the popularity of the iPhone 6 plus I was not able to walk out of the store with it, as expected, but was told I was to receive it in 3 weeks (roughly at the end of October). I was agreeable to this since I am to go on vacation for a large part of November and was concerned about leaving a package worth $850 unattended for a large amount of time. Oriece said "Oh yeah, you should get this in plenty of time". Excellent, right? To my dismay, the next day I received an email from ATT stating that my expected delivery date of my phone would be between November 12th - 20th. The same time frame of when I would be on vacation. I called the store to discuss this and the person who answered did not seem alarmed or apologetic to the lack of proper information that was originally given to me. So I said I was not confident in his expertise and asked to speak for a manager. Mike Kurnat is the manager there and was equally if not more disappointing in his lack of professionalism nor concern. Neither one was interested in trying to help me figure out a solution nor try to do anything to make things right. The conversation was met with alot of silence and "ums" and excuses. I hope ATT Corporate office reads this and I would like to make a recommendation that you send these two individuals to your corporate training department. Sign them up for a class on how to properly speak to your customers and how to be a little more professional and polished. I went to this store on Wednesday because I am eligible for an upgrade. When I was able to talk to an associate, who all seemed to be busy telling jokes to each other, I was asked how I could be helped. When I explained why I was there, I was told I could only get certain phones that were less impressive than I had. I wanted the free upgrade and they insisted I had to pay and I said I wanted my free upgrade. She stated that there is no free upgrade. She became rude and agitated. I left and went to BEST BUY in Countryside and received my free upgrade a less expensive calling plans and $400 in gift cards Never doing to go to the AT&T store in LA Grange. Very disappointed! We normally go to this store for all our needs; upgrades, new phones, cases, etc. Have never had a problem until this time. We we're welcomed by Krystal G, who proceeded to help us with our purchases. (Phone, cases, screen protectors.) First off we were there for over an hour. When my handicapped mother asked to use the bathroom & Krystal told her she could go two stores down and use the bathroom at a restaurant that we weren't even eating at. We spent over 300$ in merchandise & can't even use their bathroom. She was rude & unfriendly, she needs some lessons in customer service. Not to mention there we're only 3 other customers in the store of 12 employees, better luck next time! We usually go to Matthew K, who's is beyond helpfully! Avoid AT&T. This store ALWAYS makes you "sign in and wait" no matter the transaction. Have twice gone here to buy a simple off the shelf item. (Case, SIM card....). They don't have a dedicated cashier to perform quick, simple, basic transactions. Yup- their "we treat everyone equally" policy (as regurgitated to me) means EVERYONE gets to wait as long for someone to choose a phone, choose a plan, give their life credit history, first young, etc. You know- the usual 60 minute transaction. How does this make ANY sense? You should have dedicated salespeople and dedicated checkouts. It's a concept used by virtually every business since the concept of sales began. T-Mobile just won my pay-as-you go port from my landline. AT&T lost the landline AND the wireless biz. Great job! read more

To me, this AT&T ALWAYS seems busy, especially on the weekend. But they always seem to have enough staff, especially friendly staff. I needed to swap SIM cards since the new phone I got required a different model of card. We walked in, an employee approached us, and we were helped. This was one of the most unpleasant situation at a phone store. The manager David was probably one of the most condescending rude staff members of AT&T that I have encountered. He was unable to be polite or compassionate or helpful. The store was poorly run. The entire staff was on break with only one person out to help clients. At the door, I was greeted by Juan. I told him, "My IPhone8 kicks me off the network every couple of hours and I get an invalid SIM message. The reset always works but then it just happens again in a few hours." Juan asked me if I dropped my phone. I said I didn't think so but could they help me with this problem. At that point, he said very rudely. "No I can't help you because you don't have a problem. You dropped your phone That's the problem." I'm pretty unhappy with the experience I just had at this location. I am an authorized user on my father's account. When I went in yesterday to get a new phone after the lady was trying to sell me all of these things I kept telling her I didn't want, she tried telling me I couldn't get any 5G phone because of the data plan we had. She stated that in order to get a new 5G phone I needed to upgrade my family's plan. It didn't seem right for multiple reasons. The plan she was saying I needed to sign up for was $100 a month more. When I asked her the difference between this new plan and the one I was currently on was she couldn't give me an answer so I walked out. I went to a different ATT store today and got a new phone with NO issues. I wanted to put this on here in hopes that it gets in front of the right people because I would hate for anyone to be scammed or tricked into upgrading and paying more money. If you're looking for an ATT store with the lowest caliber of customer service and professionalism -- I've found your store! Avoid this location at ALL costs unless you have countless hours to spend correcting their mistakes. The management (Tania, Luis and Joe) are incapable of owning their mistakes and making situations right for their customers. Their advice- call the corporate number. Despite the errors being due to their negligence. We have spent countless hours (yes, multiple 3 hour visits to the store) to rectify their mistakes with business lines and numbers being correctly set up, billing not going through although we processed In person at this specific location and finally service being discontinued despite prior payment being finalized and accurate. Only to be told by the manager that it would be a "waste of time" to make any effort to issue us a credit for all of the lost time spent correcting their issues to utilize their phone service. The manager told me that she "did all she can do to make the situation right" which of course means the bare minimum. Also ended the conversation with a classy "oh Jesus" and blatant eye roll when I voiced my frustration. read more

I came into the store and traded in two old iPhones back in June of 2019. I didn't get the managers name to whom I did business with that day but she took care of the process. She told me I couldn't apply the credit to my account because I had a prepaid account so she told me I would receive a visa gift card with the amount on the card in 30 days. Til this day I have not received the visa gift card and I'm not happy. I feel like I was scammed and they just took my old iPhones to give to for someone or keep for themselves. It's been 4 months and nothing I've called up to the store multiple times to speak to managers. Jessica D was the name on the receipt but they keep giving me the run around that they will track the order and see what happen but no one has called me til this day. Anytime I've had to go in, the employees have all been nice and helpful. A couple months ago I went in to add my boyfriend to my phone plan and Moe (I believe that was his name) was very friendly and while we were waiting on something, we were talking and found out that because of where I work, I'm able to receive 16% off of my bill! Thought that was pretty cool, didn't know they offered deals like that. As far as my actual AT&T service goes, I've never had a problem. Been an AT&T customer for 8 years and will continue to be. I recently added TV and internet services on top of phone and while those haven't started yet, the sign up process was simple and I'm sure I'll be just as happy with them as I have been with my phone service. read more

I'm handicapped and visited this store on my electric scooter, The only sakes person was a young girl. I wanted to buy a new cell phone to replace my old one. The girl said you have an android phone and I don't know anything about them. You'll have to decide what you want on your own. The phones and prices were above my eye level sitting on my scooter. I didn't have my cane with me, so I could not stand up. I had to leave without getting a new phone. read more

Terrible customer service. Eric the supervisor treated us with rudeness and arrogance. This was the 4th visit to this store in the recent month resulting in 2 encounters with Eric. Each time he was rude. I provide AT&T with a lot of business: 5 wireless phones, u-verse television, home internet, home security, hone phone. Many times my encounters with AT&T customer service has resulted in little help, more frustration, and always a higher bill. I'm so done with AT&T. Once my contractual obligation is completed, I will be switching companies for sure. read more

Been to this store a few times and for the most part the staff is friendly and helpful. However that is their job right? It's also their job to sell and I understand that but I feel the employees need to be a little more educated on some of the services they are selling. When it came to knowledge of the TV services they offer, I felt like many of my questions were only partly answered or not answered at all. One employee made it seem like the transition to their TV service would be easy based on my current set up and that was far from the truth unfortunately.
