After DROPPING AMC, Sundance and IFC some time back, I've been waiting patiently for Dish to come to some sort of ageement so its customers would be able to get these channels back. Apparently they have PERMANENTLY dropped these channels. The neighborhood that my family lives in cannot get any other service. We are locked into Dish if we want cable or satellite. So now I am going to have to pay to watch Walking Dead. I just paid to watch Breaking Bad as well. Replacing these channels with others that do not even come close to measuring up is unacceptable. I will not only NOT recommend Dish network to any of my friends or colleagues, but when we move I will NEVER return as a Dish customer. I WILL ALSO BE DEDUCTING THE COST OF HAVING TO DOWNLOAD THESE TWO SHOWS BECAUSE OF THIS DECISION. Greedy, corporate nonsense makes me sick. I have been paying for your service for a long time and to have these AWARD WINNING shows unavailable to me because of this greed is absurd and shows just how little Dish cares about its customers. Petitions have been sent to you, complaints filed, thousands of phone calls expressing the need for these channels to return, but obviously money talks and is more important to Dish than customer satisfaction.

Thats rediculous at the price they are charging. Never had any good customer service with them, they always seems ignorant and cocky, we had to always call in because of slow service or because the service had just quit working, and god forbid if we ever needed anyone to come out to the house, that was like pulling teeth. The man who usually came out to the calls seems like a cool guy. Waited forever to get a screen cover because they had ONE worker in the store and several customers…read moreahead of me. He continued to help them and didn't pay any attention to me. After close to 45 minutes I finally asked for a new cover. He asked what kind of phone it was and I said I wasn't sure. I then realized he didn't know (or want to know) what kind it was. He was clearly uninterested. I looked all through out the phone and couldn't find it. He returned to helping the other people. Finally he helped find the model and discovered they didn't have a screen cover I needed. He told me to look at another store. He didn't apologize for anything.

I was astounded when I saw how much he pays for this service! He watches around 10 channels, 15 at the absolute maximum. Dish needs to come out with an option where we can personalize what we want to watch, not what THEY want us to watch. It's not fair that we should have to pay such an absurd amount of money for something we don't use! Plus, as soon as it starts getting cloudy we lose signal! Forget about it it rains or the wind blows faster than 5mph, our signal is gone long before then! Which brings me to my next point. We've been losing a bunch of our channels due to "complete loss of signal" for over a week now. After a 20 minute conversation with a representative I couldn't understand and a bunch of "tests" he had me run, he finally set up for a technician to come out and fix it. Fast forward to the next day, the technician assessed the issue but long story short, he couldn't fix it. Before he left he asked to use the bathroom. Which we, of course, allowed. The next person to use the bathroom noticed that the water was still running in the tank of the toilet. My dad came to the conclusion that the technician broke the flapper by pushing too hard on the handle when he flushed. Not an expensive/difficult fix but that's not the point. Moral of this review: I do not recommend Dish. Not one part of this company is worth what you'll pay.
