This is a cute little eatery in Verona! It's not your typical pizza joint. It is a family friendly hometown restaurant that offers pizza, hoagies, fish dinners, wings, salad and some pretty looking dessert. Service was great! They were able to reserve for a large party, offered 1 waitress who topped off our drinks and was able to serve the food quickly. I recommend the Mrs. Herb fish meal! There is a decent amount of parking spaces around the restaurant and guest seems to park across the restaurant at the church when it's packed. Be aware that the noises in the restaurant can seem louder because of how small the inside of the restaurant is. read more

I don't give out five stars often. This is definitely one. We fell in love with fish place a long time ago in our town. They closed down years ago, unfortunately. This the newest incarnation of the old Mr. Herb's .I had heard that Angilo's is now serving the famous fish on weekends that Mr. Herb's made popular, so even though it was an hour's drive for us, we had to check it out. And it's true. They bought the original recipe. I ordered a bowl of chicken pot pie soup (excellent) and the 2 piece fish dinner. It came with fries, hush puppies and slaw. Unfortunately, they didn't have a healthier option for the fries (e.g. baked potato) and they charge extra for more tartar sauce and bread, so I deducted a star for that. But the fish was a large portion and great--as good as I remember and well worth the trip. Service by Kiki was good and attentive. Someone at the next table had a cauliflower thin crust deluxe pizza that looked really good--I will probably get one of those at my next visit. A small town vibe with good bang for your buck. Check it out, especially if you are a fish lover. read more

A very nice surprise in the small town of Verona. The menu items extend beyond the pizza boundary. Burgers, chicken tender basket, fried fish baskets, and wonderful salads. In the area as a tourist we were staying at a beautiful Winery and needed someplace to eat without having to drive into the bigger cities. We were delighted with the drive through the beautiful rolling hillside and fabulous country estates. The restaurant is easy to find being located at the center of town. Parking does get a little tight as it is a local favorite. The wait staff was very friendly and accommodating and the prices reasonable. Recommend the chicken tenders, herb fish and the chefs salad. My girlfriend and I ended up here due to an hour backup on the freeway but are pleased we stumbled into the place. I must start by saying this was cleanest restaurant I have ever been in! My wife and I have been making Friday night date night in the convertible. This week, I chose this small restaurant off the beaten path in Verona KY and found a jewel! What you might think of as just a pizza place, reels every Friday and Saturday night with fried cod dinners! We met my daughter and son in law who are expecting our first grand baby this week, as a surprise for my wife. They live near Kings Island and we live in Shelbyville so this is half way. I told the waitress they would be seeing us on a regular basis over the years. Both of the young ladies working were an absolute joy! Friendly and attentive with incredible, light crust pizza. I recommend the chicken bacon ranch. My son in law shared some of his fish platter which I will get next time. You must check this place out! read more

This is such a cute little place and they are very friendly. I had the grilled buffalo chicken salad and it was really good.....and definitely spicy. I love the options on the menu and I noticed they also have a gluten free pizza option that I hope to try in the future. I'll definitely be stopping by again. I've eaten here for years. Even with prior ownership. The current owners have really brought this place above and beyond the priors. This small restaurant cooks gourmet meals. The burgers and hoagies have the best seasoning ever. They season all their breads and buns as well. I recently had a grilled chicken salad and the chicken had even been seasoned well. It's super clean! The staff is always polite and checks in on you frequently. They genuinely CARE about your thoughts and comments when they ask how your food is.
