He asked to start Wed morning between 6-7:am then changed it the night before to 7-8:am. At 8:15am he texted to say he was on his way and showed up at 9am alone, knowing it was a 2 man job. He then left at 2:pm citing the heat. Understandable. But had he started at the agreed upon time he could have had a full day of work. Thursday morning came and by 9am no Edmund. After texting and calling (Voicemail full) he called at 9:45 to say he wouldn't be here until after 6:pm which would have essentially only given him a 2.5-3 hour work window. The concept of calling a customer when there is a change of plan totally eluded him. This hardly meets the level of professionalism, courtesy or basic manners and regretfully we had to fire him. Words of Advice: Any work you do with Edmund get it in writing.

I found D&S Custom Countertops online and chose to check them out. There office in Modesto provides samples of all the countertops and they have all the latest and most popular designs. To my surprise they provided me a quote for countertops that was almost $1,000 cheaper than what the big boxed stores had quoted me. I chose to have to have the hubby do the demo to save some money and throughout the whole process from the time of ordering the counters to the day of install they remained in touch with me providing updates and advice on the demo. I couldn't have been more pleased with the professionalism and installation. The photos provided show the kitchen from the time we moved in, to the demo, and to the finished product. I chose not to have the countertops up the wall so that I could install a mosaic tile backsplash. I saw their…read morecompany trailer in my neighborhood and was excited when I found them on Yelp and read all the positive reviews. I called them and left a voicemail message requesting a phone call back and I also went to their website and filled out their questionnaire. I did not get a call back, but I received an email explaining that they could install laminate flooring, but it was not their specialty. Their website clearly states that the offer installation for wood and laminate. When I filled out their questionnaire, I clearly noted that I was interested in both options. The email response I received also explained they were booked until August and they apologized for not being able to take on my project. There was no questions asked about our time line, project details, budget, nothing! Business must be really good if a company can simply turn business away without any questions asked. A gentleman by the name of Cash responded via email explaining that the form I filled out only came through with laminate and not wood as a selected option. He also explained that he didn't want be a disservice to us. The most professional manner would've have been to ask questions about our project before just turning us away. He would've found out that we didn't need this job started until after summer. I am completely disappointed with how this company went about this. You would think they would've offer to call me to explain, especially after I expressed my frustrations. They're proud to say they have 5 generations of craftsmanship. I only wish they were equally experienced with their customer service. I truly wish we would've had the opportunity to work together.
