In a nutshell, stay away from this company. They are unprofessional, make promises they don't keep, but worst of all they are dishonest. I will definitely not use this company again. They have taken over 1 year of my time feeding me their BS of delays from the manufacturer back East and inaccurate measurements, broken shutters delivered. This happens 3 times now. today after installing (3rd attempt) my replacements, the installer apparently broken 2 of the shutters, so he thought it was ok to just put up my 2 old ones on one of my windows (same color) without consulting me. He actually ignored the fact I busted him by texting upon his departure and demanding he bring me the new ones i paid for and that he took. Both my uncle and dad had their shutters done by these guys a few years ago so I decided to go with them since they carried rod-less/hidden tilt shutters. We got a quote for shutters for my dining room back in October, was told there would be a lead time of at least 8-9 weeks and finally got them up the first week of January. The installer came as scheduled and finished the job in about 1.5 hours including clean-up. Everything looked great until my bro later came by to inspect and noted that they didn't install it the way he had requested (to be able to open the window just by opening one panel instead of opening both). It was an easy fix though. One quick phone call and someone was sent out days later to switch the panels. The dishonest one is you. I'm not saying that ALL of the work you do is bad however, my project had issues. Really Victor!?,"pull them apart myself"‍, you sound so sure, you must have seen me do that, "all of the windows are crooked"?‍‍. Victor, for you to say that, is absolutely ridiculous. The shades were coming undone on there own and you know it. The employee you sent to my home to retrieve them said, "not enough glue was put on the seam". Also, not all of the shades were crooked, just the one you re-did which is now even, so It obviously was not the wall nor window that were crooked. You just don't want to acknowledge you rushed on my job causing bad results, you resort to blame me. You rushed on my job and that is the truth. You probably were counting on that I wouldn't notice nor that I would require you to fix the issues. You are the dishonest one and a liar at that. YOU came out to measure on 8/18. You had stated the install would be for the following week but, you called me the following day and said the install would be on 8/20. Your son Levi came to install on Saturday 8/20 (the day I was cleaning up after him). After that, you returned once to my home which is the day you and my husband had the "discussion" about the so called "crooked window". After that, it was the gentleman whom you employ that came back out to finish the job. You nor Levi never came back nor called me. You only texted me to pay the balance after the last install. Victor, you had to fix the issues with the shades because there was a balance due and since you realized I was not going to accept the rushed job you did you had no choice but to fix it. By the way, when your employee came back out to reinstall, he and I noticed that on a couple of the shades the pull chain mechanism would get stuck when pulled, he said that maybe with use they would get smoother but no, they are still the same. Like I said in my first review, I had no problem hiring you and paying your fee, (which you never returned my $25.00). In my case, it is not about me being difficult, it was about YOU fixing the shades and doing the right thing. Look no further. This is your spot for shutters. We bought our home and requested quotes from 3 vendors for shutters. Victor will give you the best price, offer you quality shutters, and provide excellent service. When he came to our home he offered us several options and gave us his recommendations. We ordered shutters for 9 windows and we had to wait approximately 5 weeks. He was honest upfront and indicated it could take longer than 5 weeks. We were hoping the shutters would arrive right in time at the 5 week mark. I followed up with him and explained we were having a party at our house and if at all possible he could please expedite our order. He explained he would follow up with the manufacturer and guaranteed if they came in during the 5th week that he would install them ASAP. He did exactly that. About a week later we noticed one of the blinds didn't properly close. I texted Victor and he was on it. He sent one of his employees to fix the problem that same day. We're 110% satisfied with Victor! Thank you for making our home look beautiful P.S. Costco was going to charge us double. So glad we found Victor! read more

Very unprofessional, extremely incompetent, untruthful. Do not keep their words. I called to install blinds under my curtains in master bedroom. Victor Soloranzo came to give estimate. He said blinds won't work but shades would. I agreed and signed a contract. The contract clearly says he will hang the curtains appropriately after installing the shades". No contact for 3 weeks. When I called, agreed to come next day. He removed my curtains and installed the roller shades. When he put the curtain back, it is now 3-4 inches above the floor. The valance is completely messed up. The curtain itself is uneven, on right side it is an inch inside the frame, and more than 7 inches outside the frame. When I told him about the issue, at the very moment he picked up his tools and left instantly. Next afternoon he called me to come and get the balance. When asking for curtain, he said he was not going to touch the curtain even though it was agreed upon and was a contract term. At that point I ask if he can take his rollers back and refund my deposit, he said he will as soon as he gets rollers back. I had my contractor remove the roller shades and texted him to schedule a time to pick up. He did not respond. When I called him, as soon as he heard my name, he hung up and blocked me. Do not trust the positive reviews, he offered me a discount if I was going to write a good google review. read more

If you don't want a million headaches, steer clear of Vertical Factory on Wheels. Had my initial consultation on May 13th, 2020, with the owner, Victor, and after an informative walk through, I felt confident in placing an order. Victor said the custom blinds would take 10 business days, which came and went until I followed up. Victor promised that they would be ready later that day but shortly after messaged me that he had confused me with another client and that my order would not be ready in 3 or 4 days. After 5 days, I reached out again and I was told them would need an additional 3 business days. I wanted to be sure and set up an appointment for the day they were ready. Victor sent over an installer but after setting up they failed to mention that they did not have all of the blinds that I had ordered, they somehow forgot to make a set! Since I had already spent time and money on this investment, I asked for a discount for the inconvenience, which he responded NO and refused to discuss it further. He did offer to remove all the new blinds installed and give me a full refund. Just wow! After almost a month (a total of 18 business days to create blinds that were initially promised within 10 business days plus 2 more business days for the missing blinds), I was finally able to get a date of delivery (June 8, 2020) but only after reaching out to set it up, since there was still no follow up the entire process. Victor became rude, and I just wanted this whole process to be over with. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Vertical Factory on Wheels. Although the product was good, the customer service is horrible. There was never any follow up after the consultation, lies or excuses on missed delivery dates, no accountability for their mistakes, and a half-hearted apology to get the balance paid. Had I not already invested the time and money I would have canceled it all together. read more

Vertical factory is the worst place to do business. If they install your shutters incorrectly, they will literally disappear after taking your money and won't come back to fix it. Victor is the most unprofessional human being I've ever dealt with, he is super condescending. He is a flake, never shows up when he says he will and has a history of doing this to people I have personally met and even reviews on Yelp that are sadly hidden from the public. My shutters didn't open which was not my fault, and this was not a matter of me liking or disliking the work; this was a matter of functionality, or lack of. The point is, that whether something is cracked, doesn't fit or doesn't work, they will not take care of you or they'll make it nearly impossible to have it fixed. Everything is on their terms. It's really sad that victor behaves as if he were the customer, stating which times are best for him even though he fails to show up at any given time as he is too busy taking other victims' money, instead of apologizing for poor craftsmanship/damaged items and offering to make things right with those who he has already taken money from. I wish for others to speak up because some of us are on a serious budget, and it truly sucks to be scammed like this. I had to pay someone else to fix the problem because I got tired of waiting over 2 years. Victor always says something came up and they have a lot of customers, but how is that my problem? If you can't fix it or get the job back stop taking the money or give it back, common sense you crook. You are just asking to get sued at this point. I hope I save everyone some headaches. Very professional and thorough and even helped repair our ottoman with his nail gun because he's a nice guy. Even helped remove the old blinds and disposed of them too. Victor Is a great guy , he is very nice , he is on time , does a great job with communicating with his customers, however , I think it's the wife that makes his business horrible, not sure if he knows , but .. I was his customer from 8 years ago , I did many jobs with him in my home alone , I referred him to my mother & my sister in law who did lots of work with him , I called 3 years ago complaining about some of the stuff breaking " Roman shades " he came and fixed it , then the loop kept breaking , I would call his wife answers and says he is busy , he will get back to you and I never heard from either , not to mentioned I was willing to pay to fix the job , not only that ,but his wife is extremely rude and very dry , no customer service at all , now here we are , 4 years after the third job I did with him , and I need to redo my entire house Bcz of the color , it's out dated , and I didn't think about calling them , I looked up on yelp and found great companies for a greater price , and I signed my deal with them , as for my sister in law who did her home with him as well , her curtains turned purple, when she called and complained she was told it's their fault , she was never told this would happen , her shades are only 3 years old , y turn purple ?
