We first worked with Rick 6+ years ago when we moved into our home. He installed shutters in our bedrooms and office, and they've held up beautifully. I remembered how professional and on top of everything he was, so I reached out again when we needed blinds for our bedroom. Jeremy and Parker came out for measurements and made the whole process incredibly easy. They walked us through options, gave thoughtful suggestions, and provided an estimate. All in about 10-15 minutes. About two weeks later, they returned for installation and were done in under 5 minutes. Everything was seamless. The best part is how it turned out. We were told that the wait is due to the process of the door being made. We explained before they started that we wanted to keep the baseboard of the front door but it wasn't kept. However, the company did reimburse us for $200 for the price of the board & installation. Once we had it installed we thought we were ready to go! However, quickly we noticed within a few days that the door was not closing properly. The handle would not reset when it closed and then within a few weeks it was not working at all. I immediately contacted them on March 7th. I explained the situation and was told to take pictures as requested by Chanel (warranty correspondent). I was told that they had to order new parts from Emtec and it would take a couple of weeks. We had agreed to set it up on Monday April 6th. The service man who arrived came over and immediately noticed that the parts needed to be ordered and the correct part were not ordered. However, I was told that the door should be working. Wow, that was far from the truth because immediately the door stopped working the next day. So we're back to square 1. Our door doesn't close because the handle on the door doesn't work. In the meantime, the only thing that worked and kept the front door closed was the security latch. If not the door would be wide open. I spoke to Chanel again, she said we had to order the part again. Apparently it was not ordered last week. In the meantime, we're paying for our door about $500 each month since February and yet our front door doesn't work. If you decide to work with this company please take the amount of time and the cost into consideration.

We picked out the curtain and shutters, paid the 50% deposit and then our experience started to deteriorate a little bit. He was nice enough to pass on the free shipping discount from the manufacture to us, which is nice. Installation day finally came, and went smoothly for the most part. After they left we realized the curtain assembly rod color might not what we had thought we ordered (by this point we don't remember what we ordered anymore, and the order summary does not give us a color option, it also has a lot of technical terms in the descriptions that we don't really understand). We might have picked this color in the beginning for all we know, so I can't really blame Mike for this. Moral of the story is just take some photos of what you choose when placing the order, since the order summary does not have any pictures or meaningful description on it. The shutters came out very nice, and the quality of the curtain fabric is also excellent. I wish Mike would have been more prompt with his communication and keep us posted during the process. I wish him the best, but I might not go with him next time around.

Our installer, Danny Alonzo, was fantastic from start to finish. He has excellent communication skills and gave us a clear, realistic expectation of the time to completion. He was incredibly friendly, polite, and professional the entire time -- I honestly wish every contractor or vendor we use could be as good as Danny! We picked a custom color and the door came out exactly the shade we chose. It's solid, heavy, and makes a huge difference compared to our old door. We had bought and pre-painted our own interior moulding, and Danny installed it perfectly with no issues at all. I'm terrible at making clean silicone joints around moulding, but he did an amazing, professional job on them. He even went above and beyond when he noticed some stucco damage around the front door. He pointed it out to us and patched it beautifully -- way better than I could have done myself, lol! The finished door looks absolutely beautiful. It was a two-person crew and communication was difficult due to a language barrier (mandarin speaking only), which made it hard to clarify details or ask questions during the process. We did use Google Translate but it only went so far. My biggest concern is the inconsistent quality of the roller shade and blind installations. Some blinds operate correctly, but others shift when adjusting them -- the headrail moves up and down whenever the tilt wand is used. Instead of correcting the mounting, a temporary workaround was used that leaves the headrail sticking out about an inch. There were also measurement and fit issues. One roller shade cassette appeared to be incorrectly sized and had to be forced into place. Several shades are not evenly aligned within the window frames, with varying inset depths that are visibly inconsistent. Additionally, one of the roller shades fails to fully close, which suggests quality or installation problems. Overall, I'm disappointed with the workmanship and finish.
