I recently moved into my new house in west covina and needed some new vertical blinds/shutters. A friend had referred me to the vertical factory so i thought i would try them out. A man came out to my house for free to do a complete estimate. I was very unsure on what i wanted but the man helped me out and made me feel very confident in my decisions, with very reasonable prices.....so i decided to go for it! Once i completed the order my blinds and shutters were delivered and installed in no time. I jut celebrated my husband's 50th birthday at our new place and received so many compliments on our white shutters I even referred my friends and family to them! overall great customer service and excellent products! 4 BIG THUMBS UP!! read more

I was recommended by a friend and im so glad i called them up! The secretary lauren set up my appointment for the very next day for victor to come to my home in long beach and measure for shutters and shades. All i can say is BEAUTIFUL work! My shutters look amazing...just in time for the holidays. My shades in my bedroom completely block out the sun and they are exactly what i wanted. I agree with Hugo C. review from 5/30/16. I ordered shutters and blinds for a duplex on Mar. 9 and was told it would take 4 to 6 weeks. At 51/2 weeks I received a call that our shutters and blinds were in and would be called soon to schedule an install on the 19th of April. Never got that call. I called them with no answer several times and left messages that I was waiting for a return call. Never got that call either. Several days later I went to their office to complain about their lack of communication ans asked for Victor the owner to call me back with the status of my order. He never called. Finally we were contacted around the 23rd of April to schedule installation on the 26th of April between 12 noon and 4 pm. We notified our tenants and were at the property at noon and waited until 4:45 when they finally arrived. Then found out that they did not have our shutters yet only the blinds so job was not completed. Now this is after being told our order was in so they obviously lied to us. they couldn't even tell us when the remainder of the installation would take place. A few more days passed and no contact from them with any kind of status. Finally got a call the morning of May 2nd that installation would take place between 3 and 5 pm on this day. Hardly enough time to reschedule my personal calendar and not enough time to give my tenants a courtesy notification either. We arrived at property at 3 pm and sat again for a few hours. after 5:15 we called them to find out what was the hold up this time but got no answer again. Finally at 5:45 they showed up. We stated that we were told between 3 and 5 and Victor rudely contradicted us and said he called us to tell us it would be a 6 pm show up time, but we never got that call so he was lying to us(again). We tired of waiting (since 3pm) for him to complete install and left the jobsite figuring we would mail or drop off our check for the balance after having a chance to verify proper and satisfactory job completion. Victor called us by phone shortly after he completed the installation at around 8 pm. demanding we return to give him a check for the balance due. I told him we were already back home and didn't want to return to the property but I would drive to his shop tomorrow to deliver the check after discussing my disapointment with his customer service with him. He said he would no longer accept a check from us and demanded a credit card over the phone or he would immediately remove the shutters and blinds he just finished installing. I told him I had his check written out since last week when he failed to first complete the job and he could come by our home to pick it up on his way home. He refused to accommodate us again after all the other rude and indifferent treatment, then hung up the phone after we insisted that he meet with us at our home first. Our tenant called us immediately to inform us that he went back into their home and started removing the shutters. I called him back and told him i couldn't beleive he was treating us this way but he didn't seem to care so we relented and gave him our credit card info for payment. I have 40 other units to rehab with shutters and blinds but will never use him or his company again. This is the most unprofessional experience we have ever encountered. I regret doing business with him and padding his pockets because they did not deserve my money. Buyer beware, he paints a good picture, don't trust his business ethics and become a sucker like me. read more

Worst company to do business with. I ordered my blinds last year in October. I wanted them before thanksgiving, they said it would be ready. They never called and told me they were on back order. I called numerous times and they would not answer. I decided to leave work early and go change them to white. The girl at the front desk told me that if I changed the blinds to white they would be ready in 5 days. I left work early again to pick them up, and they told me they weren't ready. The girl never called to tell me that they weren't ready. Terrible service and the girl is very rude. It took 3 weeks to get the white ones. I've been a costumer for many years and never had any issues. Oscar who is no longer with the company did a great job. The company has gone down. I will never order blinds from them again. read more

The price is decent but not worth the horrible business. They wasted almost 2 days of my time waiting for them to show up for the installation appointment. They don't call or leave messages on the status of your order or appointment and they don't return your calls! All you get is the run around and excuses! They took the excitement out getting new shutters! I don't want them anymore... I just want my money back! read more

I am apalled by the horrible customer service now offered by this place. I've used them SEVERAL times over the last 10 years and NEVER ever encountered what I encountered today. A gentlemen came to our house to estimate blinds on 11 windows plus a patio door. Upon arrival, I was not home but my husband, room mate and 17 year old son were. My son called me at work and said the gentleman needed to speak to me. He wanted to know what I wanted done (even though I spent 20 minutes on the phone with the receptionist over a week ago describing it all.) He was perturbed that I wasn't there and insinuated that the men of the house might now know exactly what I wanted. I explained to him (again) that i needed estimates for horizontal blinds and faux wood shutters, so that my landlord could decide what route he wanted to take for all of the new windows he just had installed. The guy replies with: "I doubt your landlord is gonna want to spend $6k plus on shutters. The blinds that you want are vinyl mini blinds and can be purchased at Home Depot for about 12 bucks. I don't know if you know this but we do all custom work. How did you hear about us?" (how does he know what my landlord wants? I replied: "Because I've used you guys multiple times, in the past, but never ever have i ever received such horrible customer service. It's ok, I will go home, take the measurements and install the blinds myself if you want to turn down the work. Now please kindly return my son's phone to him and get the F**K out of my house!" I am not sure why this surprises me, since lately ALL CUSTOMER SERVICE is just horrible. I don't know what happened to offering good customer service to a paying customer. If you want fast cheap vertical blinds, i definitely recommend this place (for example if you're a slum lord and just need to quickly cover a few windows, otherwise, BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! read more

I am normally not one to post a review online but my experience with Vertical Factory and their employee Victor, has been so horrible that I feel compelled to describe exactly why I would never again use or recommend this company. Over 2 years ago I purchased custom shutters for my home. After the shutters were installed, I realized that half of them did not open or shut. I called and Victor came back out to make the necessary repairs. At that time it was discovered that the frames were the wrong size and would need to be reordered. This was TWO YEARS AGO. I have called and complained more times than I can count and the company and Victor continue to ignore and elude me. I understand that mistakes happen. However, when they are made they should be acknowledged and corrected in a professional and efficient manner. To go into hiding and refuse to return calls is unprofessional and should be criminal. I guess my next step will be to file a civil claims case... let's see them hide from the Sheriff's Department serving them with an Order to Appear. read more

i recently had the occasion to purchase 2 custom made vertical blinds. they were just what I wanted. I have dealt with them several times before in the past. before, and was very pleased with their service. This time I opted to purchase the blinds and install them myself, as they are easy enough to accomplish. However this time, I had installed the blinds and was putting up the vertical blinds them selves, and discovered that on the very last few could not be installed, due to a couple of defected parts. I called the office and was told that because I had installed them my self, I would be charged a service charge for their tech to come out. ( I'm 78 years old and its not easy for me to be putting up and taking down blinds.). It was they'er fault, for not checking the units in the first place. the installer came out and had to replace one entire unit. again a defect on the part of the company. they still charged me $35 for the repair. I don't think I will be dealing with these people again. read more
