I connected with Dave after my windshield took a stray lock on a Saturday afternoon two days before starting a brand new job, and I was so stressed. He put my mind at ease immediately, and he told me when the warehouses up Monday, he could replace it for me and he would deal with all of the insurance stuff for me if I simply sent him my insurance card. I was 150 miles from home and he told me not to worry about the cracks spreading, that it would hold up just fine after I showed him the damage. Excellent company! As my husband was driving to the Bay Area, a truck flew by and kicked up a rock. Next thing he knew, he had a huge crack across his windshield. He was concerned because the windshield is apparently a specialized one that could be potentially very expensive and/or difficult to get (since it's a new model). This was too easy....what's the catch?? I had an appt with Safelite set up to fix a small chip in my windshield but decided to cancel after reading horror story after horror story about their shop. Gave David a call, he answered my myriad questions with patience and kindness and was able to swing by my house within 30 minutes. He called my insurance company when he arrived and took about 10 minutes to fix the chip. I'm always a little skeptical when a business gets nothing but 5-star ratings, but because this place was in Lincoln, I decided to give them a try. I had been driving around already with a repaired crack in my BMW's windshield right in my line of sight for several months, because of the expensive quotes I received at the time for a new windshield. And after a rock made another crack on the driver's side, I called Very Smooth Auto Glass expecting to repair that second crack too. But when all was said and done, I got a brand new windshield (that kept the rain sensor intact) for the price of the crack fix after they handled all of the paperwork to have my insurance cover the rest. At 8:15 am I called an David answered the phone. I told him my 2010 F150 back glass shattered and company SL could not come to me for 10 days. He said he would call back shortly with a quote and time. Not even 30 minutes went by and David was back on the phone with a quote, $50 MORE than the other guys. Let me explain why... I did some checking, company SL uses OEE (original equipment equivalent), then if you want, they will give you a quote for OEM (original equipment manufacturer). David ONLY uses OEM. Now I can tell you from experience, I have saved $75.00 before when company SL put in a windshield, only to have it stress crack. SOOOO.....NOTHING BUT OEM FOR ME FROM NOW ON. So now, I don't mind paying a bit more, because I know David would actually be the LOWER QUOTE .That being explained, and the price out of the way, on to the service, I was told I could have my back glass installed the same day between 2 and 4. At 12 10, Estevan calls and ask if he could come at 1:00 to do the install. I am thrilled. As the job draws near the end, Estevan brings to my attention that my third brake light has been leaking water and he offers to fix it for me. After all was said and done, he had done a superior job with the installation, all the glass fragments were vacuumed out of the inside of my truck, the truck was completely put back together. Everything is great. THE BEST PART..... I got my truck repaired in one day, not 10 days!!!! I highly reccomend David and Estevan to replace your auto glass. read more
