Thursday, 2 April 2026 -- at Vessel Coffee Collaborative , a coffee shop
    Agnes I.

I visited Vessel Coffee Collaborative in early April 2026 and again in mid-April 2026 (on 22 April 2026). Both times, I came to work. SEATS -- There are tables and chairs plus bar seating available. They also have an area at the back with couches/sofas to sit on. The tables are a bit small for working though. DRINKS -- They offer your typical coffee shop varieties of coffee (drip, pour over, espresso, Americano, iced-coffee, etc), tea (herbal and caffeinated teas), and matcha. Drinks can be made cold or hot. For my first visit, I ordered a matcha latte. As I don't drink coffee, I ordered the iced matcha with oat milk ($6.50) which tasted fantastic. I don't believe the matcha latte was made with sweetener but you can ask to have a simple syrup added to the drink. I added some raw sugar to my drink which is available by the front door where the napkins are. During my second visit, I bought the Ultraviolet ($7) which is a matcha or coffee drink made with ube, toasted jasmine rice, and topped with coconut flakes. I got the Ultraviolet matcha with ice. The Ultraviolet Matcha was not slightly sweet and a toasty/earthy drink. It tasted good and it isn't my favourite but I'm glad that I tried it. Remember, the Ultraviolet can be made with espresso (coffee) instead of matcha. PASTRIES/BAGELS -- If you're looking for a snack, they have some bagels available. I also noticed some croissants when I visited the first time. Their pastries are only available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays and they are delivered by Leavened Bakery. FREE WIFI -- They have wifi so if you are coming with a laptop to get some work done, you will be able to easily connect to their network. The wifi password is written down inside the cafe or ask an employee if you can't find it. NOISE -- Average. It can be loud and it can be quiet. Keep in mind, music is always playing at the coffee shop. During my first visit, I came on a weekday afternoon (after 1pm) and the coffee shop was busy with lots of people. I got lucky to find 1 open seat. During my second visit, I arrived on a weekday morning after 8am and there were lots of seats available and it wasn't as busy. People flowed in and out and after I left after noon, the coffee shop was not as busy with people. Vessel Coffee is a nice addition to the neighbourhood and they sell little plants from a local business. Customer service is warm and friendly. If you arrive and they are busy, you can walk down the street on Detroit Ave. (away from downtown) to the other new coffee shop called Atmos Coffee. I'll certainly be back. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 37/250 total reviews in 2026 - 878 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 22 April 2026

Beautiful shop with a good amount of seating options, lovely decor, and an interesting speciality drink menu. I got the cassata cake latte. It was truly divine. The syrup was light but still flavorful. So yummy. The only food option was a variety of Cleveland Bagel bagels. It was fine with me. Cleveland bagel seemingly had a new cream cheese option, red onion dill!! So good. The vibe in this place was great. It was pretty full at all times with people searching for seats, but there's plenty of tables and some bar seating for hunkering down to get work done, as well as soft seating for convos and coffee. The owner was super kind and even though he was working by himself, he was pumping out the drinks pretty quickly. I will be returning.

I came on a Saturday and thought it was full and lively, I managed to snag a seat near the window. I opted for their Rose Nylund coffee drink ($7), one of their specialities. Topped with rose petals the light floral aroma gently drifted up as you went to sip your drink but wasn't an overwhelming taste. Just a hint as it mixed with the taste of the espresso. Overall it was rather lovely. The inside has a decent amount of seating (including a couch in a corner in the back) with music playing that can easily be ignored if you're focusing on something. I sat at my windows seat sipping my coffee and reading a book. I was flanked on both sides by strangers doing the same. Coffee mugs in hand, physical books in front of us as we we existed on parallel paths in this world. It was a serene experience. I definitely plan to come back.

Came in on a weekend and there was a line, but service was quick! Baristas were friendly and my drink was ready within five minutes. There is a lot of specialty drinks, which I will definitely return to try. There is also enough table and space for you to catch up with friends/family, but the environment can be a bit loud for some to get work done. On an another note, they do have coffee beans available for purchase from other roasteries, such as SEY from NY.

Very busy on a Saturday morning. Beautifully decorated space with lots of plants and soft lighting! Has WiFi, outlets along the wall, and plenty of chairs and tables for work. Their Rose Nylund was exceptional, and can't wait to try their other drinks. I was particularly impressed by their coffee bean offerings, with roasters from Chicago, NYC, and California. They sell them at the same price as the roasters online.

I love this place! I've only picked up, but the staff is amazing and the coffees are consistently good! I love the cassata cake latte.

Been excited for this to open up since I heard Austin and Jacob were opening up a shop! Curated selection of beans, cortado was smooth and nicely balanced. Pourover is also done well. Did a fantastic job with the space, good vibes all around.

After only being here twice- this place has quickly become a Cleveland favorite of mine. Their coffee is LEGIT- from amazing pour over selections and drip coffee to creative seasonal lattes, Vessel absolutely nailed it! The staff was super busy but still took time to be patient and conversational with guests, and their calm and collected approach to service added to the cozy interior and quiet chatter of the shop. I will definitely be back and bringing some friends!!

I had never had Yemeni coffee before so I asked the barista for suggestions. Based on the fact that I wanted to also try one of their beautiful milk cakes (like a tres leches), I opted for the Mufawar coffee since he said it was less sweet and a bestseller. It was served on an adorable bamboo tray, piping hot and very strong! It had a unique flavor and paired well with my saffron milk cake. Yes...I said saffron. I was very hesitant to try this after he described saffron to me, so I actually got both saffron and biscoff milk cakes. Wow, this man knew his stuff! The saffron milk cake was absolutely scrumptious!!! And who doesn't love a biscoff cookie?! I had to take that one to go. I hope to return to Cleveland soon so I can try the pistachio latte (a sweeter coffee) and possibly a different flavor of milk cake. The coffee shop was quite large, bright, and tastefully decorated with lots of gold accents. I loved my experience there!

I'm so glad she did, because it was delicious. It tasted like an actual PB&J sandwich, but still had a coffee-forward overall flavor; very hard to put into words, but definitely a winner. They use real peanut butter as part of the latte, along with two shots of espresso that had me bouncing off the walls later. I tried both the Promised Land Latte (cinnamon and honey) and the seasonal special Cowboy Cold Brew (cold brew with milk and sarsaparilla syrup). The Promised Land Latte was good, not too sweet, a little thin on the mouthfeel but overall good flavor. The Cowboy Cold Brew was such a treat: a combination I have never tried, but it worked surprisingly well. It was like a root beer and a cold brew were mixed together for a refreshing drink with very familiar yet unique flavor. It was also such a treat when I turned the cup around and saw the "yeehaw" written on it :-) I also tried the everything bagel with honey brie walnut cream cheese, and whoever is supplying Cleveland with these specialty cream cheeses knows what they're doing! In a space no bigger than my basement, I swear there were like 30 Gen-Zers enjoying some $7 bubble tea and picturesque desserts. There wasn't much left in the baked goods container when I was there but I picked up a matcha red bean bun ($2.25) to eat for dinner later. There was still quite a bit of stuff in the desserts case though! There is a minimum $5 purchase for credit cards so I paid in cash. The treat was good and held up well for a few hours when I finally ate it. The food here is quite cheap although the drinks are not.
