We love going to Rising Star in Tremont. It is a cozy atmosphere and the staff is always helpful and friendly. We usually sit by the fireplace but that wasn't available, so we tucked ourselves in a little corner in back. It was perfect to visit and enjoy a coffee and pastry. The coffee was great as usual. The way they serve the drip is appealing. It is more than one cup and you have the carafe at the table. Your coffee stays warm and you don't need to get up for a refill. I visited this Rising Star Coffee location on Jefferson Ave. for the first time in November 2025 with some friends to hangout and read books. We sat on the sofa by the fireplace which created a cozy feeling. I came again on March 14, 2026 with the same group of friends (minus 1) to chat and read books/magazines. I also visited another time alone on March 24, 2026 to work on my laptop during the day. AMBIANCE -- the coffee shop is well lit with natural light coming out of the big main door. There are tables and chairs for working plus two big sofas by a fire place for sitting. FOOD/DRINKS -- I ordered a hot chocolate during my November 2025 visit. It's really rich and tastes good. You may choose your choice of regular milk or an alternative milk such as oat milk or almond milk. My friends who drink coffee ordered various lattes which they enjoyed drink. During my March 24, 2026 visit, I ordered a Raspberry Croissant - $4.50 plus a Masala Chai with Cardamon - $5.25). The Masala chai (black tea with cardamom) was rich and creamy. It was perfect. The raspberry croissant was as expected, sweet on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. Service has been friendly and efficient everything I've come. WiFi is quick and connects fast. I'll definitely be back to this coffee shop to work. This Rising Star location is one of my new favorite coffee shops for a slow morning and catching up on work. It has easy parking, plenty of comfortable seating, nice background music, and a friendly staff. And more importantly, their coffee is delicious. I ordered a pourover, which was excellent: excellent clarity with lots of bright fruit flavors, neither overextracted/bitter nor underextracted/watery. I'd come back for the coffee alone. (As a nice touch, they serve your coffee an an insulated Hario coffee server, which keeps coffee piping hot *forever* until you decide to pour it) I also got a plain bagel and seasonal cream cheese (Brie with cranberries and walnuts)--it was also very good. Overall, this is a cafe with excellent coffee and a very peaceful atmosphere, and I'll certainly be back. read more

I am so glad that I stopped here before heading back home to Massachusetts. The cold brew was a welcome relief in the summer heat and had such a surprisingly chocolatey flavor. I love Rising Star Coffee, and this location is an excellent addition. I love the natural light vibe inside, a really perfect place to sit and sip on a drink. One of my go tos here is the cardamom bomb latte, which has a delicious spiced essence to it. If you're not familiar, it's warming, it's spice, it's cardamom. For those trying to get work done, this is great spot. There's ample seating, and a good noise level. Also pick up a bag of coffee to go! They'll even grind it for you to whatever size you need, which I especially appreciate. read more

Really cool coffee shop with an amazing vibe! Love the big windows and bright ambiance. As always the coffee from Rising Star never ceases to disappoint. Relatively new rising star location that opened in October. Perfect study spot. It's actually quite a large space with plenty of places to sit. There's also a few couches next to a fake fire if you looking to get comfy. They even have a private room that can be reserved, or used if no one else is there. Lots of outlets everywhere, so most seating had access to charge. (important for me- my laptop only gets a couple hours for each charge lol) Rising star obviously has a great coffee menu. I love that a rising star came to tremont! In addition to the wonderful coffee/tea drinks from rising star, this location makes for a lovely study or work spot. There is so much natural light that comes through making it a bright and welcoming space. Plenty of tables with outlets and a variety of seating options. There's even a table/private room In the back that can be reserved for larger groups. Iced or hot drinks are delicious as usual and oat milk does not cost extra! This place slaps. I love coming here because the parking is free right out front or on any surrounding street and I am a sucker for that. Also once you're inside it's so aesthetically pleasing. The baristas are friendly and accommodating. If you want to study or work, there are multiple conducive places to sit. If you're here for a date or just talking there's a nice couch and fireplace plus many other spots. I'm in love with the light coming in and the way they open the wall window when it's nice out. The actual drinks/food situation: very pleasant. I love the flavored lattes decaf or caf both great. I know I'm a psycho for ordering decaf lattes but whatever. They have full ceramic setups "for here" with sparkling water and a pretty spoon on the side. They do take pride in the pour art. There is also a private room you can sit in for up to two hours with 6 seats at a table and also can reserve ahead of time. There are a million Rising Star locations in Cleveland and in my opinion the coffee at each location tastes about the same, but this particular Rising Star location is my favorite based on work/study vibes. I've been here a few times with friends. The layout of this location is a little funky (it's on the ground floor of an apartment complex) and it looks like it wouldn't have a lot of seating options, but there are actually quite a lot, all of which I think are comfortable for a long study session. The first time I came, my friend and I just sat at a regular booth, but I have also been with a friend in the private room behind the coffee bar which has a large table and can be reserved. WiFi is strong, there are outlets everywhere, and this location is also open until 7 pm everyday - so overall perfect for it you want to stay a while! For those who just want to come get a cup of coffee and lounge, there are some couches and poufs around that are cozier.
