I've held off on this review for over a year now and I've tried to give VETERAN MIKE many chances to make up for it but I'm not waiting any longer... I'll start off saying that I am a VETERAN myself and that is why I went with him. Initially everything was okay with communication but then significantly decreased resulting with scheduling and installing. There were many delays and he would not respond to texts for days on end, when he did eventually there was always a unique excuse, and the job was never 100% complete. As far as the installation, it was smooth except the extension never installed and I had to find it on my own. (Pictured) After some months time, one of the clips for some reason was bent enough for the rod to become loose and fall. Mike told me he had extras and would bring them but never scheduled to come back. I had to find that solution on my own. Recently issues with the motor/batteries eventually came up and yes he finally responded to text but again never followed through with his responses. We recommended him to my son, whom put in his shutter order, gave Mike a hefty deposit of 3k and never heard back from him. We have tried calling, texting and emailing him for the last 3 weeks with no response whatsoever. We were actually concerned about him until we saw his work van in a local parking lot. Super happy with our window coverings! After we had new windows installed we realized that the old window coverings for our sliders didn't fit anymore. My shutters are amazing! We had 12 windows which included an impossible huge arch window, I seriously thought a beautiful shutter would be out of the question. I was thrilled when Michael told me no problem. I cannot believe how perfect it fit and was installed with absolute precision molding and all. It functions just like my large square window shutters. Purchased some shutters and got them installed into my second living room a few years ago. I'm just now writing a review and wanted to warn everyone how cheap these shutters are. The quality of them is extremely disappointing. They feel like plastic. The middle piece to the opening of the shutters was just a stapled on piece of wood that fell off within 6 months of having them. Went through another vendor called whole sale shutter for a different project last week and their quality is top notch compared to this company. read more

Mike Harvey came in and provided me a quote and conducted all measurements and placed my order late October or early November 2023, I order motorized shades and shutters for my entire house. The shades came in with no issues on Friday afternoon November 24 2023 and Mike was at my house the next day on a Saturday doing my install for the shades. Install went great, the material and quality of the shades are amazing. There was one issue with the French door bracket being the wrong one from manufacture and Mike is getting the correct bracket to install that and will be back Monday. My shutters are set for delivery this Friday and I'm on his schedule for that Monday to install only reason it's a few days in-between delivery and install is because we are going out of town! Professional, honest, and had the best pricing! I'm located in Oceanside, Ca and he has delivered excelled customer service to us and ensuring our windows are set up in a timely manner! Mike came to our home and was the least pushy salesperson ever. I had 8 quotes from 8 different businesses and he was 2 of 8 who had all their licenses current. Do you know how frustrating it is to spend all your time listening to the same pitch just to find out the business isn't licensed bonded or insured?! Unbelievable! When I vetted them which I did with a microscope he was 100% legitimately. He was informative, respectful and answered all our questions. Once we signed we knew there was going to be a wait and boy was that terrible but to be honest it happens and although Mikes responses might be a bit slow at times he does get back to you. Having some patience is needed, he works hard and it's a small business but the care is there from him and he does come through. Will definitely recommend his business, job clean and well done! This is a stand up company with great product and even better service! Mike was able to install all our shutters faster than I thought he could!! He even goes above the call of duty and fixed my old shutters that came with the house for free! Our new automatic roll up / down shades he installed are stunning ! You can tell this company stays current on all the latest & advanced technology !On top of that ,my kids were running around screaming during install and he bought them treats from the ice cream man out of no where and got the kids to calm down. Estimated installation dates came and went, with no communication. He became completely non responsive! I attempted to contact by phone, text, email, Facebook messenger, and message on his public Facebook page. Eventually he responded with excuses about getting too many spam calls to keep his phone on during the day, but nothing about my blinds & shutters. He did eventually wire back our deposit. I have been leaving voice messages, text messages, and emails for Mike or anyone a week straight just to get a status update with no response. Simple communication is all I need, but at this point I'm scared I have been scammed out of my money - especially after reading the reviews of past customers. It appears an employee shortage has been an issue for sometime, therefore my money should have never been taken in the first place. First off, do not do any business with this company. It is absolutely ridiculous the run around I have gotten. My parents referred me to Mike Harvey as he is a veteran and so is my father. Granted that I support our heroes, I figured I would do the same and support a local company. Mike was so attentive and helpful at first. Once he got my deposit, he quoted me 3 weeks for my blinds and 8 weeks for my shutters. That was on 3-16-23. Since that date, I have received one email from Mike after I sent 15+ messages through his phone number, the company' phone number, his email, his company's email. That email Mike sent was him apologizing for the delay and gave us another date which we are also past that date. My wife and I sent an email back stating that we understand the delay as sometimes things are outside of his control (such as production time delays). After that email, I got the run around again. Since then, I've sent several emails, texts and phone calls with ZERO response. By far this is the absolute worse company I have EVER dealt with. We will be filing a civil suit against him and his company for our money back. I air out the info on here to caution everyone. In addition, it seems that other people have received the same poor service. I attached the information to the company if anyone else has been taken advantage of and needs it. It's a shame that I have to result to posting a Yelp review but it does not seem like this company is professional enough to respond to any of my requests for a call back or our money back. **AVOID!!** Mike, was very thorough in product selection, and did his best to get us the best price. Our house was a huge project of 25+ windows consisting of shutters, and power-operated shades. I placed the order and gave deposit of 50% of estimate ( he had originally asked for full payment in order to place order, which I didn't agree to). My expected installation date was in April 2023. After several weeks we called to find out if the blinds came in, which they had, and set up an appt with Mike to install. He installed 3 windows, then looked at sliding door, saying there was a missing part , explaining it was the manufacture's fault. He asked for another $500, kept the new verticals , and said the part should get here in a week. It's been over a month, we called several times, and we haven't received a single message or returned call.
