Beware- Just know that this company will come out friendly for your initial services but will not return calls or follow up with services afterwards. The blinds came out great initially with Jon (who no longer works there) and when there was an issue, I reached out to Traci for a quote to repair one of the blinds. She said she will get back to me but never heard back. I even tried following up but again, no response. I find it unprofessional that I have to try to keep seeking out to get a response, when I'm the one trying to purchase service from them again. They did an amazing job with our drapes 9 years ago so we naturally called them back fir upgrades. Traci and Max were like old friends when we met again so we never questioned the quoted price. The Sales person was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I met with the Sales person 9/20/2021 and put down half the cost. I called their office every week for three weeks just wanting to get a date and time of the installation. Every time I called I would either get a lady or guy claiming they would call me right back but they only called me back the third time because I expressed to them my frustration. The first time I called the lady was very rude and made me feel as if I were bothering her. Just had my shutters installed today, and we absolutely LOVE them. Of course if something happens down the line I will update this review, but we couldn't be happier. We called for many quotes from different companies and we just were not pleased with their pricing, service, product, etc. It was just by chance I called the Window Decorators because Jon had come to my door when we first moved in and I brushed him off immediately. I felt horrible for being so rude, so I actually gave them a call a few days later to come out and I am glad I did. We went with their polycore product, which in my opinion should stand the test of time vs. wood shutters, and they look absolutely amazing!! This company was recommended to me by my friend who had them install the blinds and shutters for 4 homes that he had recently built. The quality of their work was impressive, so I asked them for a quote. They made an appointment to come to my house, showed up on time, and they were friendly and courteous throughout the process. They listened to us and made some recommendations based on our budget and needs. We went with a combination of blinds and shutters that accentuated the features of each room. The blinds arrived shortly after placing the order, and the shutters took several more weeks although everything arrived within the projected time frame. The cost was very reasonable, much more so than the Costco/Hunter Douglas quote that we had previously received, and their installer did a great job. We recently moved into a new build and needed blinds ASAP. I saw a sign from another home that used window decorators so I decided to give them a call. I was able to get an appointment that same day. We were shown all sorts of options for our home (shutters, curtains, etc.) We decided to go with blinds and have them installed on all windows. We were told that we needed to wait about two weeks for the items to come in. Less than 2 weeks the items arrived and they were able to install our blinds the next day. This is the worse experience I've had with a local business. We bought shutters and blinds for all of our windows/doors of our new home. We went with TWD because they seemed nice and professional people. What seemed to a good start and lots of referrals (lots of new homes being built) for this company, it quickly turned bad. Once we gave them a fat check they stopped responding to messages and started ignoring our phone calls. We finally got a hold of them and months later we had our blinds installed. OK so fast forward two years. We called them again (I know... stupid me) to come give us a quote for new door and windows we installed. Also needed a window shutter repaired as one of their selling points is that they're covered for life. Their demeanor and willingness to sell quickly turned sour. They left and never called us back. Six weeks later I called them and they said they would look into it and that I would get a call back - guess what - they never called back. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I wish I could give them more stars. But after I experienced their customer service, I would give them zero star if there's an option. When we first contacted them to install blinds in our house, they were very friendly and responsive to our phone calls and emails. After they finished the installation, we found that there's missing piece on the bottom of a blind. It's just a small plastic cap that holds the strings. Without the small cap, the strings will get loser and loser. The blind will eventually fall apart. So we called them and asked them to mail us the plastic piece and they agreed. After that we never received anything from them. We tried to called and emailed them several times, but they never responded. To me, it shows that they only care about getting your business in the beginning, but after they get your money they don't care if their product has problem. I will not recommend anyone to use this company. read more

Despite my bad experience with Lupe, Tracy and Max have completely gone above and beyond to make up for it. Not only did they offer to come out on the original scheduled day, but gave me great customer service over the phone and in person. They personally came out and took care of my blinds. They apoligized for the miscommunication and showed me that customers are a priority with them. I am not sure if they have favoritism with some clients over others, but I was told by another client of theirs that they put up paper blinds while waiting for the window treatments, something we never received. Heather and Jon were able to accommodate on pricing, but were pretty persistent with the sale. Once everything was said and done, there has been no communication on their part or the company's part on following up.
