Wow, can't say enough good things about Rich.... despite not really working in the city, Rich first gave me lots of suggestions about what to look for to determine that I really had a squirrel issue, then when I followed his steps and found out that I did, he offered to come on the weekend to assess and see what he could do. After an inspection (he saw the squirrel huddled in the attic, which could only be reached by a two story climb and a walk on the steep part of my roof) Rich came up with an action plan and some backup plans....and then, in speaking to a neighbor, we realized that the problem was not going to be able to be addressed by any solution in my attic. Rich gave me suggestions on how to proceed and we did a walk around my block with him showing me exactly where the problem spots are. The cost for this? Nothing. He spent a good part of his Sunday morning stalking the squirrel, climbing up my steep roof, and sharing his knowledge on how to discourage the squirrels and wouldn't take any money because he--through no fault of his own--wouldn't be able to fix this issue. I really hope I can get the squirrel issue managed...and I hope even more that I don't get any worse kind of critter issues. But it's really nice to have someone honest, friendly, and competent to turn to when the outside critters decide to come in. read more

I have had a problem in my attic for YEARS that started with squirrels and ended with racoons. They may be cute as hell, but boy do they cause some damage! After looking around, I stumbled across Veteran Wildlife Control. I sent them over an e-mail and they were quick to respond! We set up a time and they came on over and were not only able to rescue the baby racoons, but they were able to get the mom too! It turns out the animals were getting in through a malfunctioning attic fan, so not only did he block off the attic fan for us, but he also gave us advice as to what we should do once we have the whole fixture replaced and the wiring repaired, which is my next house project! He also gave advice on something else he noticed too that was unrelated to the animals altogether, which I appreciated because I never would have noticed the issue otherwise. I took that as him actually caring about my home as opposed to just doing the job and getting out, which meant a lot to me. Him and his associate were friendly, neat, knowledgeable, and careful, and while I hope I never have to use their services again, if I do then they will be the first people I call. Hats off to Rich! On three seperate ocassions, my security camera captured a raccoon scaling the brick wall and later descending the wall of my home. After the last camera capture, I did a ground inspection and noticed a loose flashing blowing in the breeze on my roof. This was cause for concern so I did a Google search and discovered that Veteran Wildlife Control serviced my neighborhood. After explaining what the camera had captured and what I observed from the ground, Rich came to my rescue. Veteran Wildlife is awesome! My husband and I discovered that a raccoon family had taken up residence in our attic. Luckily, Rich from Veteran Wildlife was able to come to the rescue. He was able to trap the mother and also rescue the five babies that were in the wall, along with completing the repairs to keep new families from moving in. Rich was consistently quick to respond to messages, put in a lot of time trapping and repairing, and always had new ideas to solve our raccoon issue. I called Rich on a Saturday morning after hearing things in one of our upstairs bedrooms. He answered the call and he let me know that he was really busy and gave me some ideas of what I could do myself to diagnose the situation. He said he'd try to stop by if he had a chance. We found ourselves looking for a pest control company today after discovering what sounded like raccoons in our attic. Veteran was able to come out to the house this afternoon, and worked to find the animal, which they did, get it out of the attic humanely, and then perform the necessary repairs/improvements to the point where the raccoon entered the house, making sure there won't be a repeat visitor. They were a professional team, respectful of the premises, and used state of the art equipment and technique to perform the removal. And their price was competitive. Called several other companies, no callbacks before finding Veterans Wildlife. He called back shortly after leaving a message. I explained my issue with noises coming from the chimney, he gave me several suggestions as to how to do it myself but I felt uncomfortable doing them. He said he'd come out later that same day. He inspected the abandoned chimney and found nothing in there but went ahead & covered the opening so no critters do get in there. Rich also found raccoon droppings on the roofline. He couldn't find any openings where they might be getting inside anywhere on the roof and felt we did hear the raccoons racing across the roof at night. I'm writing this review one week later to make sure the problem went away and it did. Rich was very knowledgeable about his work and I would highly recommend him to any friends and family. My neighborhood has a horrible raccoon problem because one of my neighbors thinks it's cute to feed them at night... One of the raccoon families made their home in a tree overlooking our deck and because these raccoons have been domesticated, they were getting way too close to my family. We called Veteran Wildlife and they came out the same day to set traps. They got one adult on Friday and another on Saturday. Then Sunday morning they called because they suspected the female they caught Saturday had been nursing. Sure enough he found 4 babies still in the tree on Sunday, and removed them at no extra charge. I can't recommend Veteran Wildlife Control strongly enough. He came out the very next day as promised, removed the nest, and by tapping on the wood, scared the squirrel out. Then he installed a one-way trap just to make sure the squirrel was gone. We heard something up in the crawl space above our kitchen ceiling and unfortunately found out it was a raccoon, I searched around for someone who could help and was happy to see there was not only someone out there - but that someone had great reviews. Veteran Wildlife Control - a prayer answered. What a relief. Rich set up and appointment and arrived on time. He is friendly, knowledgeable and takes his time in assessing the issue. It was a scorching hot day, but there he was, up on the ladder peering into the gaping hole in our fascia into the coon's new nesting place. Because of the heat, he didn't see or hear anything, but triple checked to make sure no one was there and covered up the entry hole. Rich knows exactly what he is doing. He's professional and beyond helpful. He called and came when he said he would, every single time. We had a raccoon up there. He knew when and where we would hear noises. He had a plan and knows exactly what he is doing. He covered up the entry hole and a couple other places that needed to be covered that I wouldn't have even noticed.
